361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do merchants handle price volatility? on: September 18, 2011, 04:26:43 AM
as a merchant i cash out bitcoins i receive immediately to get near the exchange rate
9/10 times this has worked in my favor, never lost more than a few dollars

my typical orders are $700, so far all good
362  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Customized Bitcoin Visa/Mastcard Card on: September 18, 2011, 04:21:00 AM
look into nxpay, they do realtime loading for LR exchangers
bitcoin would be risky, since the value can change at anytime. it just wouldn't be profitable unless you offered your services to exchanges like MTGox ect, where customers could cash out mtgox USD to atm

363  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Looking for some sites to advertise on! on: September 18, 2011, 04:19:11 AM
what's your product?
also you can just pay people to do blackhat SEO for you on forums like blackhatworld
364  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Starting a Bitcoin lottery – your thoughts? on: September 18, 2011, 04:14:40 AM
better to become a gambling proxy. buy tickets, bet on horses and other gambling activity in your town, then allow people to get in for a percentage.
365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading fees on exchanges on: September 18, 2011, 04:11:33 AM
since they are basically offering a 'safe escrow' exchange of course they are going to charge fees. you always trade on bitcoin-otc if you want.. this thread useless
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am selling some bitcoins on eBay and accepting PayPal... on: September 18, 2011, 04:05:41 AM
paypal officially doesn't allow any digital currency trading you will get ripped eventually either by them seizing your account or a ripper on the site. if you have a paypal account w/a payoneer card you can withdraw from ATM it'd be safer, since if weakpal is connected to your bank account they can just reach in there and do bad things
367  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's Over on: September 12, 2011, 11:26:56 PM
I just need bitcoin to be stable for a few hours while I accept payments. Customer sends me payment, I cash out instantly and usually don't lose any money, sometimes gain a little which covers BTC to LR or cash costs. So hasn't 'failed' for me, although better stability would be good for escrow.

Could care less about speculating rackets or HYIPs

368  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Can Bitcoins be sold on ebid? on: September 11, 2011, 10:57:58 PM
you're already listed there selling so i guess so
problem is you take paypal, bad idea

369  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Interested in trading MtGox USD for CDN currency on: September 11, 2011, 10:53:06 PM
Just open up a Bank of America account if you live near the US border. Then can use online banking to fund/withdraw MtGox. Comes with debit card, where I live there are numerous USD ATMs in BC

TD bank and Scotia I believe have US operations you can open up an account in an American branch of theirs from Canada.. possibly this might have changed. Paxum would work too

370  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Proxy's that accept bitcoins on: September 11, 2011, 10:47:12 PM
vip72.com sells daily/hourly proxies
just convert your BTC into LR and pay them. if you don't end up using the full amount they give you per month sell them here for coins

371  Economy / Marketplace / Re: List of assholes who like to hit BitCoin sites with DOS attacks! on: September 11, 2011, 10:40:29 PM
We experience DDOS's at least twice a week.  We also noticed most Tor traffic is malicious.  If you would like to know how we handle the Tor blocking we are willing to share that just send us a message.

sign up to cloudflare and have them clean traffic before returning it to your site
helps cut down 99% of DDOS and SQL attacks
372  Economy / Lending / 5 day, 5 coin loan for hosting. Repay in BTC or Gold/Silver on: September 11, 2011, 10:36:52 PM
Need a 5 BTC loan to top up a dedicated server lease, and to establish trading feedback.
Repayment Friday, Sep 16 ~4pm PST when my deposit to cavirtex clears.

I can repay in BTC or equivalent value in Gold/Silver shipped insured (no extra cost) whatever you want.

Starting a voucher exchanger/escrow site backed by precious metals and Technocash that customers can buy with cash deposit anonymously almost anywhere in the world with realtime Middle East/EU deposits, and near realtime US cash deposits in 11k different locations that can be converted to any cryptocoin, Pecunix, LR, Cash, Gold, exchange credits, ect for almost cost fees, as I just need a service like this to exist for my own online businesses.

373  Economy / Goods / Re: Computer Business For sale on: July 15, 2011, 04:42:56 AM
BTW it probably could qualify for US investment/business class immigration VISA.

Should something like this be offered in Vancouver, BC I might be very interested, but I prefer to stear clear of "land of the free" these days.

There's immigration lawyers everywhere in Vancouver, BC that specialize in setting up entities. You can also just fly here and not return. Probably wouldn't catch on until 10+yrs. Students on 6mos visas sell their leases to other people under the table, you can move straight into a furnished apartment with no ID and no record of you living there. Perfect if all your work is online anyways

Guy selling his biz why don't you just lease it to your employee since he already runs day2day.
Keep 10% as a silent partner or something til he can buy you out?

375  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How libertarianism helps the poor on: June 23, 2011, 02:52:54 AM
If you are a Chicago school free market disciple I suggest you read Voltaire's Bastards by John Ralston Saul for a kick right in the balls.

"The Collapse of Globalism and the Reinvention of the World" by JRS is also a good read, especially if you want to see what corporatism and currency speculation has done to destroy countries

376  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question for other bitcoin businesses on: June 23, 2011, 01:12:18 AM
simple 'blackhat' seo tricks i learned on blackhatforums and syndk8
even still most of my traffic is from facebook/twitter surprisingly. i don't even use them but built company pages there

377  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: someone is syn flooding clients on: June 23, 2011, 01:10:30 AM
i run bitcoind over Tor seems the best way to prevent floods or somebody finding it
378  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: LolzSecurity(?) takes over mtgox IRC channel #mtgox and announces on: June 23, 2011, 12:58:47 AM
lulzsec imposters
there are tons of them

you can email them and ask if it was them, they will respond like they always do if it's not on their twitter/site it wasn't them
privacybox.de/lulzsec

there are patriotic clowns masquerading as hackers doing stupid shit in lulzsec name to discredit them, bitcoin and everything else. i suggest you start looking at the jester's twitter this is right up his alley to gain ops on an IRC channel then issue a bunch of threats under somebody else's name. he's also probably responsible for DDOS'ing bitcoin exchanges for uncle sam
379  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: my linux box was hacked today and almost 400 BTC were stolen! on: June 23, 2011, 12:52:43 AM
logs? or something to show you were actually 'hacked' instead of something else
380  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Buying BTC on: June 22, 2011, 11:56:08 PM
You could try making your own LiqPay account, funding it with the prepaid card then exchanging that LiqPay for Liberty Reserve with another exchanger (to buy BTC).

Don't know if they will accept a PPD card though
