361  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can Altcoins do it alone ? on: January 08, 2020, 10:03:03 AM
What coin can do depends on the team and even more on the supporters! Bitcoin is where it is thanks to supporters, all of us. Take any other coin and give that coin attention and it will climb on top in days! Theoretically, any coin can do it alone if we all decide to use that coin and throw away all others, but that will not happen, ever never! There are many coins and it will stay like that!
362  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2020 Bitcoin halving!!! Bull run??? on: January 08, 2020, 07:37:06 AM
Honestly I'm again alive with what I am seeing now, bitcoin already trading at $8,000 after being down for months and stayed at $6K+ for awhile.
With the halving is happening in 126 days from now, if that bullish start we have now will continue, this should create a great price nearing the event.

I'm quite too optimistic but this is how people react when they saw bitcoin is moving bullish.
let's check this schedule again and again (https://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/)

When the price makes this kind of sudden jumps everyone is excited! We don't need to rush with conclusions, Bitcoin price can change direction in seconds, we all know that. The halving day is approaching, many people expect miracles on that day, but we need to stay on the ground. We need to be satisfied with the current situation and this nice price increase we just experienced.
363  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we getting a pump and dump for this month? on: January 07, 2020, 03:13:07 PM
Following the history  of price chart of 2016(previous halving year), I think we will not see any pump this month.  Probably more on sideway movement and a little  price recovery before the major event (Bitcoin halving).  You can check the chart here
We can certainly figure out that dumps and pumps will always exist all the time. We live in this kind of market and the nature of its volatility still remains. Though we are hopeful this year but can't assure anything that we only experience pump, it all be accompanied by dumps as well.
Yeah, this year crypto will experience a pump because it is rising more than before. I can see in crypto New investors are taking part and I hope to get a new market pump. Right now it’s not yet fully pumped but with the passage of time, I think the market will increase to a huge level since long people were waiting for it.

We are getting a pump and dump every month. We can't judge the crypto market by one coin, there are many coins and each month some coin gets pumped while some get dumped. We can hope that this year we will experience some significant price increase, which would be very beneficial for all of us.
364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting strategy. on: January 07, 2020, 10:53:13 AM
From my experience, this kind of strategy will not work for long. He chose low odds and he made over 20 bets, more or less I didn't count them. I tried similar strategies but without success, favorites don't win all the time.
2% per day is ok, but there are no good games every day! Maybe to try to make 10% every week, in that way you can try to make 2-4% on the days where are good games, weekends mostly, working days are for some championships and cups.
365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Daily trade Vs long trade on: January 06, 2020, 08:22:31 PM
It's really hard to trade a lot with the prices going down.
You really need to know the market and i think know something of economics/crypto to make a profit.

I like to Research a Coin/token and then just hold it for the longterm.
Made the mistake once to sell it to early (before the rise to $20k) and buy a new pc with my earnings.
Well that pc would be like 60k$ at the highest price.

So yeh the best would be to have a longterm price goal and sell it, and then maybe when the price goes down again you can rebuy.
And keep or reinvest the profits.

For me, long term trading is more profitable than short term trading. I tried day trading and I had many more loses then profit after almost a year in trying, after that, I tried to buy and hold cryptocurrencies for the long term, some coins I hold for months before I sell them. For long term trading patience is needed, one more good thing comes from mid and long term trading, we aim for higher profits because after months price can be doubled even tripled.
366  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to get rich, don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, and... on: January 06, 2020, 08:08:42 AM
People were bored with the current socio-economic order. They are constantly forced to consume. Bitcoin can destroy this scheme. Of course it won't be easy. Maybe it won't build a better system, but things will change. Bitcoin offers a more transparent and accessible world.

You can say that again! Bitcoin is a tool that is changing the world right now, and we can agree that we need changes. We know that we just need others to realize that too. People are not just bored, many are oppressed by this ruthless orders we have in many parts of the world. Bitcoin, together with other decentralized projects, can make changes for the better tomorrow.

368  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to $5k? Tone Vays on: January 05, 2020, 09:49:51 AM
Nothing is confirmed yet that's all speculations and nothing more no one really knows if bitcoin will go down to that level, but if bitcoin doesn't manage to close its weekly candle in or above the key support then we should expect a bearish movement to occur most likely and the price could dump all the way up to the $5000 levels. It will also act as an opportunity to buy in the lows, however. I wish it drops that much so that i could pick up some cheap corn.

It's why we call it speculation, change can happen, but not necessarily. I don't think that Bitcoin's price will go so low, a couple of days ago Bitcoin was under $7,000 for a moment on CMC, but now we are at $7,470. Bitcoin has some bullish momentum, and as we can see the price changed direction and jumped for $500 in a very short period of time. We are running away from $5,000 mark, with big steps.
369  Economy / Speculation / Re: New year and forecasts on: January 04, 2020, 07:21:19 PM
In my opinion the price will reach $15000 this year

It is very possible.  Bitcoin goes up to $14k last year without any major event being announced so why would it not reach $15k due to halving.  We all know that halving often gives the market a great hype and history had shown that BTC price goes up before and after the halving event.  Investors think that due to halving of the block reward, Bitcoin became more scarce and that means more demand and less supply.  With this in mind FOMO may possibly break out pushing the price of BTC higher.

It would be great if Bitcoin halving can happen at $15k price, that would be a record and great start for any further pump after the halving. We opened this year with a price of Bitcoin over $7k, it's a double more than the last year at the same time! If we see bitcoin at double price, that means $14k, at the beginning of the next year that will be an amazing success!
370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons for traders to look at! on: January 03, 2020, 01:48:35 PM
Many trading strategies are good, what people miss is that every strategy requires time and bankroll, depending on how much free time you have and your bankroll you need to find a strategy that is suitable for your situation. Many people lose money with trading because of the greediness, they wish to much with their little investments and they wish it as fast as possible. Learn about trading strategies and find one that you will be able to combine with your free time. The second thing you should pay attention to is your bankroll, every strategy requires some starting capital.
371  Economy / Economics / Re: Coming Changes Bitcoin will be backing USA dollars on: January 03, 2020, 09:01:42 AM
The gold will crash and Bitcoin will be backing Up USA dollars so USA dollar will be tokenized and each USA dollar will be backed by bitcoins.

The Bitcoin was made to be new age gold so Bitcoin never meant to be money!

Its Coming 2020 and yes that will be happening

It's just a dream at this point.

Besides, why would a bitcoin backed USD make any sense? Why not just use bitcoin itself? And would incentive would the central banks around the world to ever reform their currency in such a way? They obviously don't want to let go of the control that they hold over monetary policy.

A tokenized US dollar could be possible but certainly not with the backing of BTC. You also have to take into account the potential for fractional reserve to be instated.

This is not a dream, this is a joke. Someone is messing with people, this can never happen, not in a million years, Bitcoin will never back up US dollar, that is impossible. In the future US dollar will be tokenized like everything else, but the US government together with federal bank will create their own token, with their own rules on their own servers.
372  Economy / Economics / Re: What if crypto vanishes? on: January 02, 2020, 06:12:13 PM
If crypto vanishes then there will be some new invention and we all will be busy with that.
There are very few chances that such a huge market will vanish in future. Most important thing is that there are millions of people in cryptocurrency sphere and most of them are of young age. They are the one who will carry forward the future of crypto.

But we can't count on some new invention in some near future, look how longer fiat lasted, I bet that crypto will last for decades before they invent something new, and that new will probably be connected with blockchain in some way, so I agree that we will find something new to have fun with if cryptocurrencies vanish from the face of the earth. Chances for that to happen are very low, I can't imagine what actions can lead to that outcome.
373  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you ever trade at work? on: January 01, 2020, 12:41:22 PM
I was trading from work in 2017. I was basically trading at home all day and at work I was watching price most of the times, but there were so many opportunities and if I didn't trade I would have to skip going to work.
Imagine going home and find out that Roger Ver started shilling Bcash and basically your investment went down 30% and Bcash up 500%. I'd have to leave work completely if I didn't trade there. I basically doubled my btc holdings at that time after two days trading. I think I either had day off the next day or it was weekend. Basically I was asleep for more than 48 hours. I traded all of 2017 from work and noone said anything as there was no regulation against it and I was doing my job as usual.

That's why we need mobile apps, to be able to trade whenever we can. I have some free time while I work too, and sometimes I use that time for trading. Not every time, my trades are usually mid and long term, when the time for trading comes I'm trying to keep up from wherever I am.
Trading at work depends on what kind of work you are doing in the first place. Many people can't do anything else, while some of us have more free time on our jobs.
374  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning to trade on: January 01, 2020, 08:54:34 AM
You have to write down every trade you have make and analyze how you lose or win. Learning from your experience and combine it with trading lesson is the best way to improve your trading skill. If you still not confidence with your skill, then keep trading with small order and when your win rate become higher, you can start to trade bigger.

Exactly, let's manager our fund wisely and our time, make sure that we have listed everything that we are trading, and if possible write down the TA that you used on it, so you can check and analyze more once your TA has not been good, or the price moved on different direction, so make sure that know and better to familiarize trading  and different strategies.

You can write it down, or you can set up your spreadsheet. You can find good examples of how others did it and to start from there. Keeping the track of your trading gains and losses will help you to be successful, you will be able to see how well you follow your strategies and also you will be able to improve your trading skills if you see that something is not going right.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will XRP repeat last 2017 bull run? on: December 31, 2019, 07:48:28 PM
Yesterday I saw a tweet: https://twitter.com/BTC_Macro/status/1211432416641835008
For the ones who are lazy to check it out, I will copy/paste:

TradingView : Are you ready for another super idea regarding the future of $XRP #Ripple. Prepare your brain: +20 000% and $120 a coin.

Bitcoin Macro : We are trading against people who think XRP will hit $120 per coin in the next 4-12 months. if your IQ is above room temperature, how are you not making money in this market?

I can't say this better, nobody can! I decided to share this with you, Bitcoin Macro is a guy who should be followed, after many years he turned out to be one great mind! You can follow him too.
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your preparation for 2020? on: December 30, 2019, 08:43:14 PM
summer will pass and 2020 will come soon.
while the market is still below and cryptoqurrency prices are cheap, then how do you prepare for the coming year?

I personally have added some bitcoin and altcoin.
I believe if half of the bitcoin is reduced, there is still hope for the crypto market, especially for the price of altcoin.
How about you?
In my own personal opinion, my preparations this upcoming year of 2020 is I would hold all of my bitcoin and altcoin until all of it's prices increases, so I could get back all of my losses from the year of 2018, which we experience I huge losses from bitcoin after it increased it's price up to $20,000, that is why holding it is the best option for me to have a good profit.

We can't do anything else except accumulating more and holding what we have. What better preparation can there be except that one? The only thing that is different is which coins we choose, probably each of us has a special list of coins, I know I have. And definitely I would like to have more of some of them, if not all of them, for upcoming years.
377  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top 5 Ways to Earn Crypto While You Sleep on: December 30, 2019, 07:46:26 AM
My most recommend way is bot trading i've never tried it but also going to try and make it. I've seen some videos of it that really quite catch my interest especially when i am lawsy trader and it doesn't just trade for you and provide automation it also gives you profit by trading without any emotions attach. As long as the bot is properly coded and properly tested, i think there should be no problems with this.

There are some platforms out there that let you 'make your own bot', quite useful without having to design the whole thing from scratch

You need to know how to set it up, and you need to have a bankroll for that trading bot to work. It can be a problem to set it up, it can be a problem if you don't have the required amount, and all that time you are risking, for holding your coins on the exchange and for a trading bot. Risks are huge, I'm not sure about the profit someone can make with some small amounts.

379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Justin Sun dump 33 billion TRX on New Year's Day? on: December 29, 2019, 11:42:53 AM
It would be insane from them to dump all at once and for nothing! I think they are more reasonable than that! Tron is doing good with all their DApp's created this year, and why would they ruin the entire system with dumping that huge amount of coins?
Anyway, this is a piece of new information for me, I didn't know about these coins locked after migration. We should monitor the situation and what Justin plans to say after they unlock those coins.
380  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can one have any expertise in Speculating? on: December 27, 2019, 08:51:12 PM
I sort of wonder about this because of that Jeopardy guy James Holzhauer and his incredible ability of consuming an unlimited amount of information and his recall ability. Add to that superior knowledge and common sense and a person like that would be great in speculating. 2nd to known.

Who is good in speculating have a nice winning rate, simple as that. How do they do it? They have a great analytic skill, they have the ability to process the info they collect everywhere around. Not everyone can do it, but many will try to have a winning rate in trading.
Can one have expertise in speculating, yes! If he is deep inside what he speculating about! If he knows how things work and where to look for info, if he have friends everywhere around who tip him with some info all the time.
