361  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Let's not be too judgemental about CZ (Binance) on: March 12, 2023, 07:37:05 AM
It is sad to see the news about CZ Binance in the media because I love him so much. Several rumors are circulating about CZ Binance involvement in the USDC fiasco to promote B USD. Part of it is that Binance CEO, CZ, has used social media in the past to attack competitors, so it is likely that he was involved. There is still no evidence that support it
362  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: 2023 Gubernatorial Elections Discussion Thread {Focus on Lagos & Rivers States} on: March 11, 2023, 09:25:40 PM
The disposition of President Buhari after the election has been so annoying. Accepting the result of the election after seeing a lot of the abnormalities
2. The CBN governor and the president has refused to say anything about the supreme court judgement for more than a week of the new notes.

The country's politics are being dominated by sentiment, and our choices are becoming irrational. In my opinion, most of the Labour Party flag bearers never thought they would be where they are, and they have not proven themselves worthy of their positions except for the sentiment of their supporters. The track record of Obi is impressive, but what can others show? In recent TV interviews, the labour party's candidate for the Lagos governorship hasn't lived up to my expectations, there are some blunders that show he doesn't understand the job, Jandor has a very nasty history that won't help him, and Sanwoolu is the godfather's pet. Unfortunately, I have never been a fan of Tinubu since 1999 and may never be.
364  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: 2023 Gubernatorial Elections Discussion Thread {Focus on Lagos & Rivers States} on: March 10, 2023, 08:07:18 PM
On another similar thread, I took my time to give 5 similar threads as well as the reason it should not continue (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5443670.msg61866085#msg61866085)
About the postpone election, I think pressure is now on the government and Tinubu is threatening Obi to step down. It is very crazy to see the disposition of President Buhari and also the recent public advice to support that crooked president elect)
365  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will (probably) go lower. on: March 10, 2023, 04:27:18 PM

My advice will be to wait until FED will start lowering rates which will mean that the economy will start recovering and money will flow into crypto and bitcoin.

Your strong point and analysis to say bitcoin price drop is coming is all about inflation but I don't think that is what will happen to bitcoin only because of that. Are you saying when the inflation is high then people withdraw hodling and to take care of life? But during COVID-19 that was restrictions and low income earning, we saw gradual increase in investment and appreciation of price so inflation should not be the only reason for price drop. Bitcoin has the tradition of fall in price a year before halving.
At the moment, the news of MT. Gox is still having a significant effect on the market, and the FUD may last for some time. While the size of the bitcoin planned for release is huge, it could spread for nine months. Still, I have no doubt some people will do some accumulating again from the FUD. There is still a long period in the market before the halving when the market will break the previous ATH.

Haverá alguma troca no blockchain?

In regards to the matic blockchain token, which is not traded or rather delisted, what is the project's plan on getting it back to exchanges?
It is worrying that Defi coin has remained silent for a long time. I know the project has more than DEFI applications, but I am curious if they have another approach to DEFI that they believe gives a different result/

Apart from safety, people also take into account transaction fees and how the transaction process works. Are you taking into consideration whether the transaction fee is more affordable compared to other channels?
369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 07, 2023, 10:49:37 PM
Chelsea did very well tonight, I didn't expect them to win the match but they did, that's nice of them. For Chelsea to win today's match that mans Chelsea is unbeatable this season and I think their team is now developed. Based on the routine tonight Chelsea will take the league this season,
There is a lot to be learned from Chelsea's last two matches.
-I believe that the new crop of players need time to adjust, Felix is still struggling and Sterling is doing a better job than Felix.
- It is very impactful to see injured players like James Reece, Lotus cheek, Sterling, Chiwell, and Fofana return to the field
-With the exception of Enzo and Badiashile, August's new crop is doing better than January's
370  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: OpenCEX, a Free Open-Source Crypto Exchange Engine on: March 07, 2023, 02:09:57 PM
I do not think most big investors or bag holders will risk the use of the forum because they want something cheap, aside from the fact that online security for exchanges is too costly to be rendered free or cheap. Additionally, I don't think it gives users custodial rights to their coins, which is a very dangerous offer. If you are truly interested in making such a public offering, then provide a decentralised exchange, give users custody of their coins, and request transaction fees, anything free here is suspect
371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: this is, how easy it is to scam people on: March 07, 2023, 01:58:20 PM
she does not know anything about binance and basic terms just made an account following her mentor.
she is so dumb to scam her.

Why don't you think otherwise? He's actually trying to trick you. He's trying to direct you to someone who offers you 90% of the return on investment.
There is no real woman if she is some random girl who starts a profitable investing conversation. So stay careful, and don't assume you're smarter than "beginners".
You obviously understand, it really showed that he does not understand how scammers operate. Several approaches have been sent to my Telegram account. First, I check if we shared a group, if not, then I get careful. My name, location, and gender are all I can tell an intruder in my PM, aside from that, I try to keep my identity private. Messages sent privately are suspicious, so don't be fooled by any approach.
372  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Trust wallet update on: March 06, 2023, 02:56:48 PM
I have difficulty trusting any wallet with a multiblockchain wallet after my experience with blockchain.info. They are unlikely to give full custody to people's wallets and if you aren't a regular visitor, you may lose access to it due to regular updates. I can't trust the Google Play Store to provide a safe wallet for my funds every time because of their inability to find out about every application listed on it.

I've heard that Tottenham want 100 million pounds for Harry Kane now. This might be considered as a very big amount for a 29-year-old player but actually this amount is seen normal these days. Teams are spending an insane amount of money on so many players nowadays. Kane is one of the most valuable players at the moment. He is having his most productive years as a striker and he is technically one of the best strikers right now. Despite Tottenham's still being unable to win titles Kane is continuing to score so many goals in a season.

He is just wasted there I believe and I hope there would be a bigger team making an offer for him in the summer. Maybe Bayern Munich could also be that team.
There is no team in the world that can afford that price, only in England. Maybe one team in each of Spain and Germany can, but both have equally good players in that position. There is a lack of reliance on number nine strikers, and most teams are looking for younger players instead. The price of a Lewandoski like purchase was not within that range

Unfortunately, their Twitter page does not have active social media as I mentioned here. I have sent a tweet regarding this. Also, I hope more people are able to reach out to them.
377  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mt. Gox will release bitcoin in march - what's next? on: March 04, 2023, 04:25:20 PM
The deadline to register payee information is in mid-March. This was pushed back from early January. I don’t think there’s any chance payouts come in March. There’s still a lot of work to be done and with the US forcing exchanges to close accounts of Americans left and right, I imagine even getting the payouts to their appropriate creditors is going to be a hassle.
I also think that these payments, if nothing changes again, as it has happened many times before, will last a very long time. The exchange won't be able to pay each user the full amount in one lump sum. This procedure will drag on for a long time and will most likely have no effect at all on the market, which has a huge capitalisation compared to when Mt Gox scammed. This news may even have played out a long time ago.
Is from March 10 to September 30, the payment will be in a mix of 2 cryptocurrencies and cash, there are chances the exchange might add further delay
1. 142,000 bitcoin ($3.3 billion) Price as at today
2. 143,000 bitcoin cash ($19 million)
3.  69 billion Yen ($510 million)
I dont expect a big impact in the price with the duration of distribution but FUD will play a small part

Sergio Ramos announces his retirement from international football.
I don't know why the Spanish National team management are being so quick to do away with Ramos, first it was Luis Enrique not including him in their 2022 WC squad, a decision that came as a surprise to many people, including me, because imo Ramos is still playing at a high level in PSG. In his retirement message today he claimed he was called by the new manager who told him he wasn't part of his plans, thus it is basically clear they pushed him out of the team and forced him into this retirement, what boggles me is that Spain do not even really have too many solid defenders, in the WC they had to convert Rodri who is a defensive midfielder into the heart of defense.

Having said that, i wish Ramos a good retirement, he can now focus entirely on his club football, and work towards achieving success with his club PSG, he has already won it all with the national team, so he can retire with contentment.
In my opinion, he did not leave him out because he was too old; some players have not been able to endure all of their coaches' demands. It has been demonstrated that Bisqutte is both level headed and humble. He is also a true leader. However, as Chelsea might be seeking a replacement, what makes Luis Enrique the right candidate. Are you referring to the same Enrique who hasn't done anything with the national team in a few months
379  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Abeg all this political Mata for different threads don do. on: March 03, 2023, 11:48:08 AM
In my opinion, unnecessarily long threads can be reported to the forum moderators, but I do not think it should get that far. I am not a regular visitor to Nigerian threads on the forum, and posting in a thread on a topic of concern is not limited, but these Nigerians ger the way they flood everything and draw attention to themselves. Could you please tell me why they are like that? no be only naija dey this forum now. There is a way to block new accounts that do not appear relevant in the forum, I also think the forum is still requesting funds to open an account, why so many people who are unsure of what to do.
380  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Don't Connect Your Metamask With This Scam Site on: March 03, 2023, 07:26:09 AM
Damn this is actually an old way to scam people, where you get this in the first place Youtube and Twitter usually have a dozen sites like this but their platform has a fast response so it won't get big.

It's like buy 1 get 1 but at the end scammer just takes away off your money, and Metamask is a very convenient wallet Im personally use it, this is a new method by using metamask. Little tip never ever approves or sends money if you don't know the sites.

The information was on Metamask twitter handle not even the support= https://twitter.com/MetaMask/status/1630617494770663432?s=20
This is the link on the tweet if it cant be seen= https://assetstore.unity.com/decentralization
