361  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice - A small mistake emptied my wallet. on: October 05, 2019, 03:55:13 PM
A small mistake on dice made my wallet get emptied. Only mistake is that I didn't added an additional zero to the bet amount. Instead of 0.00005 btc I mistakenly placed 0.0005 btc. Further on the consecutive bets went for a double the value. This all of the sudden emptied my wallet. I didn't watched the wallet until the bet amount in the tab turned zero. Further watched the bet history and understood what big mistake I've done.

My deepest sympathies to OP. I also experienced almost the same thing two years ago and I am still not over with it. Of course, I took that as a lesson and it made me more cautious whenever I place bets in this kind of games. I do hope that people won't have to experience this just to learn the harsh lesson of being careful in playing online gambling.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are investors still complaining? on: October 05, 2019, 03:22:38 PM
absence of research will consistently drives investors off track,Numerous investors are whining that they are at lose putting lots of money into some IEO projects yet many IEO projects are plain success from the info ive gathered,IEO projects from binance,bitmax,gate.io,kucoin are mostly successful and their ATH are so good that i regret not investing in some of them, why are people still complaining? Are they joining IEO from crappy exchanges or new exchanges with low volumes?

They won't stop complaining because they feel that they have been scammed. If you are in that situation, it will be difficult to move on because even though you knew the risk, you will still feel bad when the investment does not work out the way it was promised to you. The only way to prevent this is to lower one's expectation before he invest in the project.
363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Online Casino has the Most Fun Games? Recommendations? on: October 05, 2019, 02:49:38 PM
Like many of you, I've been struggling to find genuinely fun games to play at online casinos.

I've already gotten tired of crash type games, so have moved onto quirky card games.

I'm currently having fun playing Bankers Bull at BetHash, but looking to try out some other cool games too.

Any recommendations?

I am poker guy so that is the first thing I looked up in a online gambling site. I also enjoy playing dice games but I get bored easily because I don't have much luck in those games. Vegascasino is one of those sites that have variety set of games and have occasional themed events depending on the holiday. In those events, they have special offers and sometimes when I have enough, I would play and try my luck once again.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the scam projects killing entire crypto space? on: October 05, 2019, 02:11:38 PM
From my point of view, scam projects have taken away the glory of genuine projects.
Due to too many scams around crypto space, investors are not confident on investing in new projects. It's Becoming very difficult day by day to find out the legitimacy of the projects.
This in turn affecting the projects and result of this is not raising the funds as expected and required for further development of projects. This is daviating projects from their roadmap which is resulting in too much delay or even failure.
Missing interest in investors is somehow obstacle to growth and further research of dApps projects.
I think, rugulations will solve the topic to great extent, but is there any other way to stop the scamming and not just going away from it?
Please apply your thoughts.

Scam projects really did left a bad reputation to the industry. They are "killing" the industry by making other people believe that nothing good will happen to you if you invest here. We are being generalized and it is hard to raise awareness and educate the people because most of the times, they only see the bad side of things.
365  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad Devs and CEOs on: October 05, 2019, 01:06:28 PM
If some disciplinary act are been taken against teams and devs greedy habits will reduce in crypto space, bad devs and ceo are showing their faces to the public introducing their project to gain awareness, the teams are even going for blockchain seminars and here we are thinking they are doing the right thing to easily achieve success and increase adoption rate too but in the end the project still turn to scam, in crypto and blockchain tech a piece of paper anybody can just trampled on and do as they see fit? its really unfair, investors are taking risks i think these kind of devs should be dealt with to stand as an example for those who have evil thoughts of using blockchain

They are making a bad reputation not just for themselves but also to the whole industry of cryptocurrencies. The main issue that I observed to most projects that failed is that they don't have a realistic goal and the investors are the ones being left behind. That is why it is difficult now to find a new project that you can really trust.
366  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Overall winning - Dice on: October 04, 2019, 03:32:25 PM
Have anyone profited out of dice in the short or long term. I have been trying the best and lost all, I can't leave it. Once after I loss I have gone beyond my ability. Finally as the wallet got emptied, I bought bitcoin particularly for betting and lost even the amount earned from my day job. I used to experience win, but at the end it is a loss. I miss the right time to stop and leave. Cry Cry Cry

At least now you know that the dice is might not be the best game for you. You could try other games like poker and other card games. But if you prefer dice games more, you should reevaluate your chances on winning on that. In card games, you can train and have strategies that can minimize your loses. But in dice, nothing will stop you unless you'd emptied your capital.
367  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to invest safely in cryptocurrency? on: October 04, 2019, 02:59:02 PM
if I think personally a safe way to invest in cryptocurrency is :

1. the project runs according to the roadmap and whitepaper that has been made;
2. cryptocurrency that we invest in already has a product;
3. the team always updates about the progress that is happening in the project that we invest;
4. invest in project that are in the top 1-500 in coinmarketpcap (have a high volume);
5. the project we want to invest has been running for a long time (if I personally never invested in a new project), because investing in new project has a greater risk than we invest in old project.

Planning changes the game play because one shouldn't just invest just because an ad was shoved on his face. And in investing, even though the project is in top 500, there is no absolute guarantee that you will earn high profits. Making one's expectation real is important so that you could manage and see things the way they really are. Every investment you make, there is always a risk that it will fail so learn to accept that but to fight those risks by studying the trends is difficult but worth the effort.
368  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Errol Spence Jr. Vs Manny Pacquiao on: October 04, 2019, 02:33:30 PM
After winning against shawn . Errol Spence Jr. said "i want Manny Pacquiao " on the interview . Are you guys still confident to put money on errol spence line?
For me in my own opinion its a big NO! Even this is not the right time to make a predictions.  And perhaps no need at all ?Lol . Imagine that kid want to box the living legend Pacquiao?  Oh my gosh it would be a next margarito vs Pacquiao for sure!  Lol just saying because i am now not empress on his skill after fighting shawn.  wherein they are totally the same what i mean no thrill like hide and seek behind their ears?   Ops sorry errol spence fans because Pacquiao speed and power is very amazing and there's no way Errol Spence  can place hes  head under Pacquiao shoulders.  Lol And it's like old man throwing a kid out on the ring. No offense guysl!  Peace!

Pacquiao does not yet retire in the boxing industry so there is still a possibility that he will fight Spence but the chances are very slim. What I would like to see soon is Pacquiao vs Mayweather once again. There are also a lot of other boxers that can match against Pacquiao but I think we all want a rematch between those two.
369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are only rich on spreadsheets on: October 04, 2019, 02:00:11 PM
Yes, that's what bounties these days make us. They show us big big rewards on their spreadsheets but the real values of those rewards they offer us are sometimes not even up to $5 on the market. I feel bounty hunters are only being used as baits by project owners to catch their investors virtually for free. What do you think guys ?

I accepted it already because there is no way we can force them to raise the income. Bounty hunting isn't really a job that produces very high salary and most of us and our tokens are just stored because we can't sell because there is no profitable exchanger yet for them. If you want to be rich, it will take a lot of time and effort just like any other job in any industry.
370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's most important to you in a crypto betting platform? on: October 04, 2019, 01:30:13 PM
I wanted to create a thread to get a general idea of what you look for when you're betting with your Crypto's.

I'm a developer myself & building a betting platform right now - I thought where better than here to ask for advice!

Reasonable fees is my top concern because I play to enjoy the game and that includes if I could play without thinking much of the additional expenses brought by fees. And also, KYC is also a big concern because I value the anonymity I enjoy in this industry. Other feature that I would love to see is security and if possible, make entertaining tutorial videos so new players can know their ways on the site.
371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Alt season come soon? on: October 04, 2019, 12:55:14 PM
Cryptocurrency markets continue to stagger but there has been much talk in recent weeks and months of an alt season. But is this really going to happen?

I like to consider the last quarter of the year as the season of everything in every market. These are the times when there is a high demand on almost everything in the market since it is also the season where people have a lot of money to spend. This is also true in the crypto world. I hope that alt coin will also sky rocket in the remaining months of 2019. I am excited to see this happen.
372  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: October 04, 2019, 12:33:16 PM
So I've been wondering a lot time now why some people choose to play lottery which is made in such a way that it's statistically impossible to win and not any other game that gives about 49% chance to win? In online crypto-gambling there are a lot of such services.

Personally I'd advice against gambling overall (ye I know I wear a gambling signature at the moment!) but if someone insists on playing something without thinking or using skills, then why not buy a random stock? That'd give them 50% chance to win and with some research they could increase this chance.

I found this nice video a day ago, it tells the truth about lotteries in a funny way: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9PSWTDhHGt4

A very good point is made at 2:55 about the probabilities
Also at 4:07 they lottery in comparison with gambling and stock market in a funny way... "we take away all the skill of blackjack or poker just to make sure we have the best chance of getting your money"! Cheesy

It is because even though the chances are very slim, the possible jackpot price is large enough to get the interest of the people. You never know when people are feeling lucky, they can get that jackpot even in the first try. Regardless how small the chances are, if the price in the end of the tunnel is worth the time, effort and money, people will not stop until they obtain it.
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding Altcoins can get you Rekt on: October 04, 2019, 11:32:42 AM
Often times I read various posts of people/traders/investors preaching HODLing some altcoins for years and so on thus I took some to research on altcoins 3years and guess what? Most of the altcoins in 2016 are no more to found anymore. You can take a deep look as well via https://coinmarketcap.com/historical/20160103/

My candid advise is to trade with the five senses intact and not with emotions. Don't get on some shitcoins with the intention to hold for years else you might get rekt.

Holding altcoin should only be done after you convince yourself that the market value of that coin will not fade in next years to come. Analyzing which among them has the highest potential growth is difficult and many other people has their own various views and preference that you can use as basis for your decision. This is industry changes a lot so keep studying the market and only invest if you accept the risk of this dynamic industry.
374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling as a profession: there's people who live out of gambling? on: October 04, 2019, 11:01:55 AM
Just curious here.
I know there are tons of way to live.

but is there such a thing as professional gamblers?

people who make a living onlyout of gambling (online or on rl)?

resources and comments on that are really welcome.

Considering gambling as a profession isn't a new idea on the history of mankind. Many Asian countries before was a powerhouse in terms of the gambling industry. Some customers did manage to make living out of it because they realize the trick in winning. This strategy however, is difficult in online gambling. Most games right now in online gambling are not profitable, tho some can be self sustaining. It all goes down to the player's skills and if he is good enough to dodge those probability to lose, he can pretty sure make a living out of it.
375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Btc is 1st then? Other Alts? on: October 04, 2019, 10:00:22 AM
Is Ethereum second?

If so wich Cryptocurrency Will be third, 4th. 5th.??

What You think wich coins are competing with Ethereum?

I Think Ethereum and Bitcoin are number one!

3rd. I Think its a BCH.

BTC leads among all cryptocurrencies and ETH indeed follows second. You can check sites like cryptocoinrankings.com and coinmarketcap.com or any other site that is on the top when you use google. The industry of cryptocurrency is very dynamic and slight changes in the market reflects immediately in the rankings. So, before you invest on one or two of those, always check and analyze on your own if you need to change your strategy. Changes in ranking also of course reflects on the potential income you can get from investing.
376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Things That Comes Into Your Mind When Winning... on: October 03, 2019, 02:14:25 PM
Back then I created a thread to let everyone to share their amazing stories, and now it became so dramatic that we almost laugh at it.

So let's start a new one, instead of speaking again and again about strategies and its effects, instead of talking every bad things that may happen when playing to much, and also instead of talking about how will someone gonna spend their winnings and also about their feelings...

So here's the thing, what does come into your mind when you win? For the first time? For the second time? Or even for when you win always?

Of course some might say that "isn't it obvious? To bet again and to win again" but this ain't the real thing, various reasons may come up for every individual. So let us put this into discussion.

When I first won big time, I am so glad of course. And when I finally withdraw the money, I immediately bought a treat for me and my friends and consume a large amount of alcohol to celebrate. It was a year ago but it is a good memory for me and my friends. I missed those times but right now, all of my profits in gambling is set to sustain it so I seldom throw any parties nowadays. I realized that I should be wise of money. I don't regret treating my friends of course, but there are also priorities in life that I first need to settle. I hope everyone can realize this because in this industry, money can easily come and go.
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do not be deceived by inexperienced bounty hunters on: October 03, 2019, 01:33:44 PM
Try not to be beguiled, there is cash to be make in promoting bounty projects ,the individuals who make colossal cash will never express an announcement about it, don't leave since individuals reveal to you they aren't paying because i still find out today that many bounty hunters still don't know what they are doing when choosing projects to promote, they are still choosing projects blindly and don't depend on a solitary tasks either but the most important is not to get deceived by inexperienced bounty hunters cos they will always have bad news to share about bounties

I am sure if they succeed in deceiving me, they are not inexperienced. But it is also good to point them out because I really do admire they're advertising skills. They have the talent to reach out and socialize, things that I am not so good at. But finding a real campaign that is really worth the time and effort is the task that not everyone here can manage wisely. After all, experience is the best teacher that is why I believe that those "inexperience" bounty hunters will soon come to their senses and find their passion in this industry (when it is not just about the income anymore).
378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regret In Changing A Bet Have You Experienced on: October 03, 2019, 12:59:11 PM
This really happens to my friend in a horse racing, he is making a good run of winning he was in a winner take all bet and he needs to only win one, before he buys a ticket a winner take all-ticket, he has doubt on his bet on the 7th race because he is not the main favorite, he opted  for the favorite of race 7

He wins bet on all the 6 races  and he just needs one win and he is confident that the horse who he picks for a replacement on the horse he first bet to win the race, in the end, he loses the big jackpot in the 7th race because the horse that comes out the winner happens to be the horse he replaced with the favorite, he loses $3000 jackpot because of that.

He had a hard time moving on with that experience.

Regret happens when you don't when to stop or when you shouldn't have done it. It is very difficult to move on from that feeling but I think your friend learned something very important. This things will keep happening on us if we do not learn from our mistakes. Doubt is our first enemy then Regret will follow and haunt us for a long time. I wish your friend will get better soon.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs dead? on: October 03, 2019, 12:35:31 PM
Interesting article about the death of ICOs and the emergence of IEO... https://cryptotradernews.com/investing-trading/are-icos-really-dead/

What do you guys think? I don't think ICOs are fully dead. They just need to be regulated in more efficient ways. Most ICOs from 2017-2018 never delivered on their promises because they were being ran by a bunch of assholes who didn't deliver squad... We need more regulation. Only then will ICOs get better imo.

Not exactly "dead" in the context of that alt coin will never came back. They're just like small phoenix who have been burned out because most of them are like "sparks"; they glow bright and pretty but only for a short time. But no one ever said that small sparks can't ignite a fuel and turn into a proper flame. Finding the right 'fuel' is what they needed or in the context of this industry, timing and a really good advertising strategy to be popular, relevant and useful for traders and users of cryptos.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin and casinos on: October 03, 2019, 12:04:32 PM
I have worked for a few years in a casino and I couldn't help but imagine that people should be able to gamble with bitcoin.

Is it already happening? - I don't mean on the internet

And do you think this will be future of casinos?

In the near future, I think they will adapt bitcoin and other cryptocurrency since the industry is continually expanding. In LA, there are already casinos that have integrated bitcoin and became quite a popular trend with the casinos near that one. I do hope that their numbers will increase further and not just casinos, even hotels are starting to accept cryptocurrencies too.
