381  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving guide for noobs: Why it's not possible for halving to be priced in now on: April 10, 2016, 05:42:12 AM
I've rented out like 80% of the hashpower of entire altcoins

Actually, I've just demoted Dr. r0ach to Mr. r0ach.

Anyone who invests time or money into an altcoin is a cuck.
Anyone that is pushing/talking about an altcoin is either a spammer or someone looking for that coin to moon and get them more Bitcoin. Out of all people, I woulda thought that would be at the tip of your mind.

I get your criticism (of alts) as ETH was a pump and fuck but you should know that classic alts like LTC, NPC, PPC etc tend to moon when BTC goes up at minimum. Esp LTC, so why not get some of these to get more BTC as the price goes up?
382  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving guide for noobs: Why it's not possible for halving to be priced in now on: April 09, 2016, 04:13:50 AM
I've never encountered this guy before and wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt.

But it does appear that he doesn't have a valid argument. He seems to have ignored my question after attempting to fob me off with logical fallacies re. billionaires and Soros. I guess he's simply talking his book.

I said my point, you just ignored it.

Maybe I missed it. Would you mind repeating it, or linking to the post? Thanks.

Paging Dr. r0ach.  Dr. r0ach, please return to your thread and assure all of us bitcoin holders we'll be rich someday if we continue to hold.  Dr. r0ach, pls.
Hey bro, I get it, we both get excited when the price of bitcoin increases by even a dollar.  The graph spam isn't necessary though.

Come here, you big man you, give me a hug.
That makes sense but youre right.i never meant to be nasty towards you. I'm sorry if i did or say such a thing.
The Roach is gonna bake your balls on this mount.

Yo Chef, bugger off with these pics of stupid graphs man, they mean nothing, even if your pics were big enough to actually see.
Soli, just shut your mouth you little punk. You brought this upon yourself for no reason and out of nowhere. You must have gotten a rotten eight-ball and are flyin low forever. Get a life.

What exactly did I bring upon myself, friend?  Your nonsensical graph spam?  Hey man, it's r0ach's thread you're basically ruining with what is essentially graffiti on an otherwise intelligent thread.  I could care less if you want to spam that shit until the cows come home.

I am genuinely curious how a fan of some reality tv idiot ends up posting on a bitcoin forum.  Shouldn't you be on a forum in the not-too-bright corner of the internet somewhere?

Why would you name yourself "Chef Ramsay" ?  Is that faggot chef on reality tv such a hero to you?  You've even included a picture of his dumb fucking face.  What is your deal, man?  Fuck off with these stupid meaningless graphs
'

Cool it bro. He's posting price speculation graphs in a speculation sub-forum. It's rather appropriate.

No, his silly graphs belong in the Wall Observer thread.  This thread shouldn't be tainted with bullshit mystical imaginary "this graph im posting right now means the price will be $900 tomorrow" posts.

Technical analysis or whatever u call it is pure cancer.
Huh? Seems you'd be here for the WO thread affect. which is why I posted here from where I found it considering it seems like the next best thread for it. Roach runs this one so don't come in here almighty about what should be said up in here.

Ok, I get it about my recent posts. And maybe I should have posted them in the WO thread yet I would think this one is "on-the-go" in regards to favorable info on bullish behavior in the market these days. If that is what you think of my posts, I'm sorry. I thought they were somewhat constructive. You can clean up his threads all you want and I'll take that for granted. You just went too nasty too soon on a not-unrelated mindset.

Bull cow?  WTF is that, some sort of bovine hermaphrodite?
bargainbutch (aka lamecrotch) should just be ejected from this thread. Or, is there a walk of shame option? Make dumb posts ante up money for cancer victims?

393  Economy / Speculation / Re: Halving guide for noobs: Why it's not possible for halving to be priced in now on: April 07, 2016, 04:44:59 AM
Roach has it spot on, the pre-halving will drive the price up 50% at least and then the aftermath could/might be epic into 4 figures. And, that all depends upon where the worldwide financial system is at that point which could mean 5 digit territory.
394  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 06, 2016, 04:05:08 AM
$421 boring action man. Somebody wake me up from hibernation if/when we hit $700 or something.

Even in the best-case scenarios, $700 is going to be a while... Maybe 4 months or longer....?

I would think that if we get into the $480s (and possibly into the $470s would be sufficient), then it is very likely that we would be able to experience the $600s within that same price run... and the $700s seem to be quite a longer shot, especially without some correction (profit-taking) period, first.. which could cause several months of delay... but really, I would like to be wrong, and it does seem difficult to deny that bitcoin is due for some kind of upwards price explosion... I just fear that getting into the $800s would likely require movement to a new ATH (and we may not be quite ready for that, yet?).

680 is next stop

You may be correct, but frequently I am skeptical when price predictions are too specific and lacking in qualifiers.  That's a decent number, though... I frequently am hypothesizing that once prices go past $502 (which really seems to become inevitable after $480, then prices are going to shoot into the $600 to $650 territories... and certainly overshooting towards $680 is not outside of normal irrational bitcoin history, which seems quite likely to continue.

Sounds good. I bought my first bitcoin at $1200... thought about joining the forum right around then, but put it off. If one considers that things can go one of two directions, either up, or down, and within a relative range either way... we can be confident that the price will do something soon. My thoughts are that it will shoot past brg444's conservative estimate, up to $880. I assign this a 51.5% probability. The remaining 48.5% probability is assigned to another integer of dollars. (USD pls.)

The first use of BTC as a central bank reserve settlement will probably take place this summer, after the miners activate seg wit. People are already enamored with the capabilities of the network, with segwit and the lightning hubs active, the sky deep space is the limit. Mewn sewn boyz, sell the heirlooms, mortgage the house, pumpkin's college fund... get that on a wire to the exchange, your family will thank you later.
Even tho I doubt you paid 12hun for a coin, I assume you bought dozens more in the 2hun range and are sort of set at this point, or u should be. But, your last sentence pointed you out as a butt-tard and you love it. game, set, match.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is what you want on: April 06, 2016, 03:48:41 AM
garbage
What makes you say that OP?

We foresee a rise in Bitcoin because of the halving. Usually Litecoin rises when Bitcoin rises, mostly because factors that cause the rise are similar for both coins. Since  this anticipated rise will be because of the Bitcoin halving, I can't see it effecting Litecoin all that much.
You contradicted yourself but I agree w/ your point and that was my main historical issue here. Until LTC doesn't mirror on steroids what BTC does during a halving, then my point doesn't stand. Yet, we're upon something special going forward and that is why the stable LTC is so valuable as we move forward. I have a small stake compared to my btc holdings but I posted this for different reasons considering this place is filled w/ on-the-other-side predictions for alts that are unknown to react or whatever. LTC is tried and true for mega-gains during a BTC bull run as many folks can't afford to breeze this run as it is too expensive, hence LTC as always.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Litecoin is what you want on: April 05, 2016, 04:17:23 AM
The bull market (is here and is coming) is coming in Bitcoin and that means that Litecoin will thrive. Now it starts in all its good timing. LTC will fulfill your wishes and then some. Snowden approves of this.
397  Economy / Speculation / Re: 30-day volatility at 1.19%, 60-day at 1.69% on: April 05, 2016, 03:50:27 AM
This stability will not last another few months. I am quite sure that some real action will start before the halving. And the times after the halving will be volatile as well. So, enjoy this stability for as long as it's still here. Smiley

I expect the volatility to be higher around the halving too. The price seems to be waiting for directional cues. There are many people who are waiting on the sidelines and will enter once the direction of price movement becomes clear.
Yep and then boom!
398  Economy / Speculation / Re: 30-day volatility at 1.19%, 60-day at 1.69% on: April 04, 2016, 10:38:33 PM
Calm before the storm of big moves up
My sentiments as well.
399  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 04, 2016, 07:10:15 PM
Good morning Bitcoinland.

Still no Bitcoin price movement to track or discuss?

At least baseball is back.  Smiley
Super pumped about baseball starting tomorrow night when my Tigers are in Miami to start off the season. We should be in much better shape this season as long as Verlander, Cabrera and our Martinez dudes stay healthy. We also finally have a respectable closer.

Price seems like it's slowly building and the next few months should be decent and then some.
