LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL 200 sat ptoy soon LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

AND ON THEIR TWITTER THEY TWEET THIS :

We're ending the year with a bang! Patientory Founder and Ceo, Chrissa McFarlane named one of the top 10 females in Crypto 2017 by Core Magazine! $PTOY

WITH A BANG HuhHuh LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL THIS CHRISSA SOMETHING IS A CLOWN.

Not to be rude, but what's your background in business and R&D? Timelines move as the reality of scope kicks in. R&D should be secret to protect your IP. To gain the upperhand with competitors, you need to keep things under wraps. You don't post WIP on Giuthub unless you're doing an opensource project. If they say too much, or post code on Github, their competitors will steal their ideas, and rush to get their products out first. This is basic stuff.

I may be wrong, and they might be scam artists, but it's too early to tell that yet. People in the crypto space expect instant returns, and product releases overnight. That's simply not realistic.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GNT] Golem Project - The world’s most powerful supercomputer on: December 08, 2017, 06:24:11 PM
The project started more than a year ago. Is there any improvement in any project? Does the team have a new roadmap?

Yes, I'm also joining to this question  Smiley That would be great to see updated info / status  Roll Eyes

As I mentioned in an earlier post, they updated the Alpha a week or two ago (take a look at their Github page), and are making good progress. In addition they recently hired a head of business development, partnerships and strategy - Chris Waclawek. Chris was formerly evangelist and head of special projects at Estimote. If you're not familiar with Estimote, they're one of the biggest developers/suppliers of iBeacon/Eddistone beacons.

383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POWR][UPDATE] *** POWER LEDGER TOKEN SALE STARTS FRIDAY 8TH SEPTEMBER *** on: December 08, 2017, 06:12:47 PM
Next up Power Ledger just need to win the Extreme Tech Challenge 2018!! (XTC 2018)

https://web.powerledger.io/power-ledger-selected-one-xtc2018-top-10-semi-finalists/

the Top 10 Semi-Finalists from Extreme Tech Challenge (XTC) are slated to present live on-stage, January 11th, 2018 at the Bellini Ballroom at the Venetian Las Vegas.

Co-Founder of XTC, Bill Tai remarks: “We are incredibly proud of this year’s group as they exhibit variety and are poised to disrupt current technology trends, and tackling the most pressing issues our generation.”

The 2018 XTC Top 10 Semi-Finalists advancing to the CES® Showcase are ABRA (Mountain View, CA), AirSwap (Brooklyn, NY), BioCellection Inc. (San Jose, CA), Chooose.today (Oslo, Norway), Neurotrack (Redwood, CA), Owlet Baby Care Inc. (Lehi, UT), Powerledger (Perth, Australia), Rayton Solar 2018 (Los Angeles, CA), SafeMotos (Kigali, Rwanda), and Tissue Analytics (Philadelphia, PA).

Jockeying for the ultimate prize of global visibility and invaluable resources, the Top 10 Semi-Finalists will pitch their budding ventures to a phenomenal panel of judges, spearheaded by Branson and comprised of the world’s leading minds in innovation:

- Sir Richard Branson, Founder of the Virgin Group, Investor & Philanthropist Returning XTC Finals Judge
- Gary Shapiro, CEO Consumer Technology Association, Returning XTC Semi-Finals Judge
- Koichi Narasaki, Chief Digital Officer, Sompo
- Valery Vavilov, CEO, BitFury
- Tom Siebel, Veteran software entrepreneur and founder of C3 loT, Returning XTC Finals Judge

Personally I reckon its a no brainer - POWER LEDGER has the potential to bring electricity to hundreds of thousands if not millions of people in places where power is yet to reach - in ways that are clean & cheap - and who knows what genius will be uncovered in those yet to be unlocked repositories of potential human brilliance..

oh & yeah as the 'Airbnb of Electricity' Power giving all the - first world citizens slowly losing their jobs to robots - an extra income stream = will also be good and no doubt extremely popular

That would be a huge win if they can pull it off. I may be headed to CES myself, would be good to see the announcement in person  Grin

I have to say...this is the best airdrop I've ever seen/had. I'll be holding my BLUE for the long haul. I've been pleasantly surprised by the drive and vision of this team. Hope to see continued growth into the new year.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AIRDROP] BOOMBAY EXCHANGE (BOOM TOKEN) on: December 07, 2017, 11:29:58 PM
The site looks great. I do have a couple of concerns though...The model seems identical to Sugar Exchange, even down to the airdrop and proportion of tokens allocated to the team vs. those distributed to the public.

Three questions for the dev team...

1) What is your differentiator to Sugar Exchange or other exchanges with similar models?
2) What protections are you putting in place to protect the value of tokens for token holders given that only 20M/22% of the total tokens will be distributed to the public. How will the 78% held for dev, marketing, etc. be distributed to avoid devaluation?
3) When can we join the airdrop?  Grin
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO][BOUNTY] Iconiq Lab announcing its Token Sale and Bounty program on: December 07, 2017, 11:08:09 PM
Just a short heads up that the Token Sale is delayed in order to be fully compliant with the law! https://iconiqlab.com/iconiq-lab-token-sale-delayed/

Given the regulatory compliance, will ICNQ be traded on the regular crypto markets, or will it be treated as a security and limited to traditional brokerage platforms?
387  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Does ages really matter in relationships? on: December 07, 2017, 10:56:25 PM
Age shouldn't really matter, but ultimately it does in many ways. For one, if there's too much of an age difference, you might be looked upon as a perv, secondly, as the life goes on, the younger one might start to find the other less attractive and crave somebody closer to their own age. Relationships with too much of an age difference rarely last. 5-10 years difference is pretty standard/normal, at 10+ you start getting into muddy waters, 20+ they're probably just after your money, 30+ you're definitely a perv.
388  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the the Big Short coming? on: December 07, 2017, 10:48:29 PM
The institutional investors are counting on shorts (at least to start). I wouldn't be surprised to see a BTC crash once it hits $20k, and a surge in alts, as people look for gains elsewhere, along with reinvestment in BTC post crash, to cash in on the futures longs.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FLiK on: December 07, 2017, 08:57:06 PM
....There's a reason why there are SEC regulations around traditional investments in the US.....
......................

Sec? Do you think that Flik filed with the SEC so they can't just up and disappear or else they'll end up with a federal investigation like tezos ? I checked all SEC d forms ... Nothing is there about investment. I did not find single sec form which are publicly searchable. Flik may end at any time.

Institutional distrust is so high right now, and cognitive bias so strong always, that the people who fall for positive news stories are frequently only interested in consuming information that conforms with their views — even when it’s demonstrably fake.

Good investors know that it is their responsibility to understand what they are buying because no one can be relied on to serve their own interests better than they. A good investor must be intelligent. But he does not need to reveal his intelligence to anybody. The only way to make money is to know something that other people don’t.

Flik = It is a sheer waste of time.... That really needs no further comment.
I think that everything has been said.

I'm referring to traditional securities, which ICOs have not formally fallen under and thus do not legally require them to register with the SEC. Specifically this cause in Regulation 506 D; "All non-accredited investors, either alone or with a purchaser representative, must be sophisticated—that is, they must have sufficient knowledge and experience in financial and business matters to make them capable of evaluating the merits and risks of the prospective investment."

This is meant to prevent idiots from investing. Mind you, its the responsibility of the Investment Company (company being invested in) to enforce this and ensure they take money only from individuals sophisticated enough to understand the dynamics of the investment. With no regulations formally in place for ICOs, the above rule legally doesn't apply (yet) and thus is rarely followed.

The participants of this thread are prime examples of why regulations such as 506 D are put in place.

You won't find a sec filing for FliK, because like most ICOs they will have tried to avoid a sec rating like the plague. That's not unusual, and doesn't mean that there isn't legal recourse if the founders can be shown to have deliberately deceived the public (especially if they have used celebrity endorsements).

However, to prove that out, they need to be given time to develop their product and deliver on their roadmap - even if it does fall behind schedule. After all, there's nothing illegal about being late.

So again, rather than all the speculative battles of wits and opinions, wait it out and see where it goes. If there is still no news, or tangible developments by Q2 of next year, then consider a class action suit for fraud. In the meantime you're all just wasting your breath/giving yourselves RSI typing pointless messages.

391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XRP] Ripple Speculation on: December 06, 2017, 10:39:55 PM
What I don´t like about Ripple is that there are too many speculative news about it. The media agencies don´t seem to have anything to say.

You obviously haven't been reading the news then. There is a ton of media coverage on XRP/Ripple, from an XRP hedge fund to the latest deal with Amex. There is a lot of activity.

What people in the crypto space don't understand, typically because they're chasing short term gains, is that XRP will be a slow burn. By releasing more XRP in a controlled manner over time, they limit the inflation/deflation of XRP, so that it's costs don't become untenable for their corporate users.

Nobody expects massive returns from Tether/USD, because that's not their model. Ripple is similar. If regulators clamp down on the BTC and ALT markets, Ripple will stay solid because of it's corporate governance and use cases.

Like I've said numerous times on this thread, XRP is not a coin for explosive growth. Think of it as more of a safe haven ( a bit like Tether) with slow steady growth, that will survive regulations, should they start closing out the BTC market.
xrp had the most explosive growth of any altcoin in the spring this year! What are you talking about?? Take a look at the charts

And that's why they're setting up the escrow system, to stabilize the price and make it predictable - which I'll say one more time...is critical for enterprise clients. Slow and steady.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷 BOUNTIES 🔷 Geens NPO - GEE Token Sale on: December 06, 2017, 10:33:43 PM
Got confirmation on my bounties today, and the amount of Geens for each activity. Thanks Gens team! Hopefully I'll be able to join the ICO if I can ever get Ethereum/Geth to synch again - stupid CryptoKitties.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: 🔷 BOUNTIES 🔷 Geens NPO - GEE Token Sale on: December 06, 2017, 10:32:04 PM
So far the unclear project, in my opinion it is necessary to wait with inestition

I'm not sure what you're finding unclear. The documentation/whitepaper is pretty solid. The platform is up and running in test mode. I have uploaded and encrypted docs, you can see the timestamp here: https://ropsten.etherscan.io/tx/0x1f58ed59fb786a9703d922c516d2a398de83f5ddbc4cc9f1e11a9ada5236e994

This project is much further in development than just about any ICO I've seen to date. If you have questions, ask them in this forum, I'm sure the mods will be happy to answer any concerns.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Complete: Error" withdraw issue with Poloniex on: December 06, 2017, 09:22:31 PM
Hello guys, I have recieved the "Complete: Error" message while trying to send emc2 coin from poloniex to bittrex account. Already submit a ticket, but i have read that poloniex support is not a problem solver team.
Is there anyone who have the same problem and know how to solve this issue.
Any advice appreciated, thanks

Issue number #534927 (maybe a poloniex support member can see the topic)

I've personally never received a response on any support tickets from Poloniex, so I wouldn't be surprised if the ticket goes unanswered for days. That said, the system is pretty good at resolving conflict issues like this by itself. Typically it will either process a few hours later, or cancel the transaction and recredit your account. If after 48hrs it's still not resolved and support hasn't responded, I'd try calling them (phone number is on the site footer).
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GNT] Golem Project - The world’s most powerful supercomputer on: December 06, 2017, 06:31:29 PM
I bought IOTA at 32-48cents,  sold 70-90cents range. Yeah, I was idIOTa. Won't do the same mistake with Golem. I'm pretty sure it will make at least 5x gain.

Golem already did a 15-20x at the start when it was just a few months old..from 1000 sat to 25k sat and then back to 3-4 k sat. There are too many players in the cloud now and it looks to be difficult if they could do a 5x again, provided they release the version soon.

They released an update to the Alpha about a week ago. They're making good progress, and have enough of a differentiating factor in terms of what their cloud platform does. Next year is looking very promising.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] Quantstamp - The First Decentralized Smart Contract Security Platform on: December 06, 2017, 06:25:32 PM
Its a safe assumption that they will be "soon" trading on Bittrex. Damn its is so under-priced, out of top 100 per market cap atm.

Not for long. People are having a hard time wrapping their heads around QSP value proposition, but once they start running audits, airdropping new tokens and present the prototype in March, we should see some significant traction.
March is a long wait and too slow. learn power

March really isn't that long. Where in the real world do you see instant returns on investment? This is the problem with crypto traders. They want everything immediately. It takes time to develop and launch a good product. Sure, you can release some BS, half baked product, get a market rally and flop. But that's not a long term strategy, is it?

Investing in an ICO is like being an angel investor. Real investors understand that a product may not see the light of day until a year or two out from their initial investment. Quantstamp isn't a quick flip, it's a platform in the making. If you want quick returns, stick to day trading, but be prepared for even more risk.

And yes, already invested in POWR. Made my investment back x5 and still holding 30% of what I bought  Grin

Keep in mind, Quanstamp will see a steep curve Q2 of next year, and if you HODL, you should receive some nice airdrops from serious ICO launches. It's a double whammy, what's not to love about that?
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SALE] GEENS - Privacy Focused Blockchain Timestamping Office on: December 06, 2017, 06:17:20 PM
I did a test upload a couple of days ago and it worked like a charm. Now if I can just get my Ethereum wallet to sync, I'd like to take part in the ICO.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: December 06, 2017, 06:11:07 PM
Boa so fine guys and girls !

SIAs for less then  70 Sat. Ridiculous? Yes  ... really ...

The last rush was just the beginning. When more people Hold then sell the price will go to 500 Sat+

The todays "Hard Fork" is just the beginning. The bottom is there the moon is up.

https://blog.sia.tech/reminder-upcoming-sia-hardfork-e0ffcde9ebcc

Just buy and Hold.

When in May the Hash Rate will explode - also the difficult level will increase so buy now and dont cry later.

I wouldn't look at the satoshi price. but focus on USD/Fiat price instead. BTC is on a rampage, to sat values are low, fiat price is making good progress though. Hopefully people realize, that the hard fork doesn't mean free Sia, and are investing because they see progress in the product's development.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: The next financial crisis and cryptocurrencies. on: December 06, 2017, 02:20:52 AM
I think crypto needs a few years to get to the level in allowing in the general public.
Better wallets, a potential paper money equivalent ( I know its weird but grandma ain't gonna use crypto easily).
And most importantly, a coin that does not have 6 decimals. Electroneum has a good idea there.

The key for mass adoption in my mind is fast, easy to use mobile wallets. Even the majority of 70+ year olds I see have smart phones these days. If somebody can an app/network/crypto that as easy to use as Apple Pay, it will be a game changer. But, I agree, simplicity is crucial.
