This month they are going to freeze 54 billions of XRP, this may have an impact on the price alone, without counting wht will come next year.
If it was so great, the price would be going up. Not down!
Are you sure, that they are going to freeze?
https://ripple.com/insights/ripple-to-place-55-billion-xrp-in-escrow-to-ensure-certainty-into-total-xrp-supply/
According this article Ripple plans to unlock 1 billion XRP each month.
If you start reading properly than what is also there? You just leave whats fitting your agenda, so what about the point that THEY MOVE THE 1 BILLION BACK AT THE END OF ESCROW IF NOT NEEDED!?
I know what you will post now "dUmP iNe BILlIoN oN tHe mARkEt eVErY mOntH"
I hold 50% of my deposit in Ripple. But I want just to clarify, what does mean "THEY MOVE THE 1 BILLION BACK AT THE END OF ESCROW IF NOT NEEDED", who decide if it is needed or not needed?

We’ll use Escrow to establish 55 contracts of 1 billion XRP each that will expire on the first day of every month from months 0 to 54. As each contract expires, the XRP will become available for Ripple’s use. You can expect us to continue to use XRP for incentives to market makers who offer tighter spreads for payments and selling XRP to institutional investors.

We’ll then return whatever is unused at the end of each month to the back of the escrow queue. For example, if 500M XRP remain unspent at the end of the first month, those 500M XRP will be placed into a new escrow account set to expire in month 55. For comparison, Ripple has sold on average 300M XRP per month for the past 18 months.

And to the other uses here, i call specifically the "special-downie forces"
Whats your point? Do you get some coins in exchange for trolling mentally aroumd? Or do you do this because you are scared about XRP? It isnt looking good for unregulated cryptos thats what we all know.
You and me both know that if the shit hits the fan they will close down exchanges with your beloved shitcoins. What will you do then? The only thing to go into crypto will be trough a regulated token ---> xrp
I know unimaginable for retards and autist but mark my words.
First steps were made by congress and doj. EU will follow Wink. Lets see how your precious  reference rate "btc" will dissappear and will be exchanged into XRP Wink
Dont believe me? Start reading trough working papers by FED AND DOJ

Every response to this is just a mental meltdown, you can't deny the facts! You cant stop the train. Its coming for you like i come at night to your basement with my gasoline to lock you up and burn you down Smiley

Well maybe self-moderated topic is only option and this one to lock? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2525547.new#new

What I don´t like about Ripple is that there are too many speculative news about it. The media agencies don´t seem to have anything to say.

Maybe the large dev team is stifling xrp's price. They're selling xrp in heaps to pay their employees. Another low vs btc today as usual! Over 90% drop vs bitcoin in 6 months, we've been robbed.
Ripple team owns near 6 000 000 000 xrp. It is a quit large amount for speculations.

You're both stating things as facts without anything to back it up. Just because there'a large number of unissued XRP, does not mean they're pumping and dumping. The circulating supply has not changed, so no smoking gun there. XRP is a slow steady burn, it hasn't had explosive growth, but it's $USD value has been steadily increasing.

If you're going to make accusations, show us the data to validate your agrument.

You obviously haven't been reading the news then. There is a ton of media coverage on XRP/Ripple, from an XRP hedge fund to the latest deal with Amex. There is a lot of activity.

What people in the crypto space don't understand, typically because they're chasing short term gains, is that XRP will be a slow burn. By releasing more XRP in a controlled manner over time, they limit the inflation/deflation of XRP, so that it's costs don't become untenable for their corporate users.

Nobody expects massive returns from Tether/USD, because that's not their model. Ripple is similar. If regulators clamp down on the BTC and ALT markets, Ripple will stay solid because of it's corporate governance and use cases.

Like I've said numerous times on this thread, XRP is not a coin for explosive growth. Think of it as more of a safe haven ( a bit like Tether) with slow steady growth, that will survive regulations, should they start closing out the BTC market.

If you google Ripple and click "news" there is a lot of action with the company with new partnerships all the time.  The price is a great accumulating price right now, there is support at .24 and an upside might occur soon.  Right now it is the bitcoin show and until it calms down ripple might stay stagnant.

I love Bitcoin

Nobody is forcing you to buy or endorse Ripple, but a smart investor knows to play across and number of markets, to ensure diversity and stability in their holdings. The thing that's driving the regulations across the globe, is all the scam ICOs and token sales, that people on this forum blindly support, even when they are obvious scams. Unfortunately these numbnuts and the scammers are forcing government hands. As such, something like XRP and AML Bitcoin may be the only options for securing your crypto wealth in the not too distant future. You can hate on it as much as you want, but blame the scammers and the sheep.

I originally bought xrp at .006 usd ... sold 1/2 at .43 and letting the rest simmer until this coin blows up to be a monster.

Why do people usually call Ripple a scam? I'm honestly trying to understand the criticism to make an informed investment on it.

It's not a scam but people have lost a lot of bitcoin buying it over the last 6 months. Its the only top 10 coin that has been going down for 6 months and no amount of great news has had an effect on its price.

Still it attracts investor assuming that it might be a game changer in future as it is designed for banks and it will have greater chances of being accepted by federals and regulatories rather than any other crypto

most old and mainstream coins like btc, eth and dash have setted a new record, why xrp is still half the highest point, its undervalued

Some say it's overpriced.
Other top alts are growing accordingly.

XRP broke the critical support line of 2200satoshi. Now it could be even a free fall of XRP.

XRP/BTC 18xx satoshi is here.
But what is important is the fact that we have new king of the premined coins in the game.
Rather new project which went mainstream not so long time ago - MIOTA just surpassed global cap of Ripple by 40% after 4 days and still climbing.
