381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What's the $500 for? NFT or Coin! on: November 18, 2021, 10:00:30 PM
I'm confused about choosing to buy NFT or Coin. Ask for advice in terms of benefits. Thanks for the advice, I wish you success next year.

I'd say go for a coin.

NFTs are a very specific applications of the blockchain technology in a way that generates hype.

I don't think that the current bubble is sustainable. Instead, you should probably buy the underlying technology (e.g. ETH).
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH OR BSC on: November 18, 2021, 09:29:36 PM
One of the reasons why binance savvy chain gets to be this enormous right presently is since ethereum gas expense is exceptionally tall and this constrain a few ventures to switch to BSC but what do you think will happen once ethereum gas expense goes lower in close few months? Will BSC confronted same destiny as binance DEX? Or BSC will stay the way better choice over ethereum?

The only reason why people are using BSC is because of the current gas fee problems with ETH.

I don't think that once this is resolved with ETH2.0 that BSC adoption will continue on its current trajectory.

Plus, a lot of the use cases of BSC is for meme tokens which is not necessarily going to be around in a few years (or months).

-Development of Risk taking ability; to win big in life, you must be willing to try, and gamblers have so developed their risk taking ability.

This is probably the single most important attribute that you can gain from gambling.

People love to plan out their life as if it was going to be a certainty, but this is definitely not the case.

To make money you need to be able to put up capital and risk it all, even if it's in vain.
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: First decentralized Gambling Platform? on: November 18, 2021, 08:25:13 PM
I'm pretty sure that there has been quite a few decentralized crypto casinos already, including prediction markets.

Augur is probably the best example of this.

While this is certainly a noble cause, what matters is if they can actually attract revenue to the blockchain. I doubt this will happen just because of the fact that people prefer the convenience of centralized alternatives right now.
385  Economy / Gambling / Re: Free bet in bitcoin sportbooks on: November 18, 2021, 08:13:30 PM
Hello. Can you know what are bookmakers give free bet on sport betting?

Go look into fiat sportsbook operators in your own country.

Fiat based sportsbooks are much more likely to give out these bonuses because they can make sure that everyone only gets them once (due to KYC/AML).

This is not possible at all in terms of crypto based sportsbooks because they are generally anonymous. And those who do offer free bets generally have steep wagering requirements.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bovada removing bitcoin as payment option on: November 18, 2021, 04:08:56 AM
They're not removing bitcoin, it seems like they're just removing the "mBTC" denomination, they're still taking bitcoin deposits and withdrawals here's a thread posted on their subreddit.

I have to say that the announcement is indeed confusing as other users also thought bovada stopped accepting bitcoin.

Ahh very nice thanks for looking in to this, I was just getting ready to give them a call or shoot them a message. I thought that might be the case with just restricting mBTC payments, but not bitcoin. That makes a whole lot more sense, I would think if anything they’d get rid of those two absolute shitcoins in BSV and bcash.

I think that they are still removing BTC balances, but essentially moving to a model where once you depo BTC it instantly gets converted to fiat.

With the bull run that we've had, people probably want to keep their BTC as BTC.

Some more clarification on this would be welcome.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Decision Time for Bitcoin Dominance? on: November 18, 2021, 01:25:39 AM
I do think that BTC dominance will fluctuate around 40-50%.

The crypto space is going to get larger over time with a lot more projects in total, but at the end of the day the consensus is that crypto investors treat BTC as a store of value of sorts.

The utility of bitcoin is therefore unhindered with the majority of new projects, who primarily take market cap away from things like ETH and BNB instead.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is burning coins good on: November 18, 2021, 12:13:06 AM
It's not necessarily a good thing.

In fact, if a project needs to burn coins to gain traction, they probably don't have a lot to offer.

Beware of these projects because right now "burning" is a buzzword just as "DeFi" or "NFTs". Just like the 2017 ICO craze, highly hyped projects will likely suffer the same fate sooner or later.
389  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 17, 2021, 11:31:16 PM
After Golden State put on a show last night I’m looking forward to some more quality NBA basketball tonight. The Lakers are playing the Bucks on ESPN, so it’ll be one to watch. Looks like still no LeBron after missing 7 games as he is still listed day to day and no update on Nunn’s situation. Should be an easy win for the Bucks, but we’ll see…

The Lakers are a hot mess so I wouldn't bet on them winning. Westbrook is inefficient and everyone else is way past their prime since all the young talent got traded. Not a great look for them.

And last night, Curry's huge performance helped the team win the game a lot by 117-99. He scored 37 points.
They have no problem winning that game as they literally demolished the Nets. We might not see games like that in the future so we will never forget this battle between the two greats in the NBA and this would be a wake-up call for Durant and his team to think that the Warriors are a real deal this season.

Maybe it's time for Irving to come out and follow the protocol if he wants to help his team because as I've seen in that game, the Nets will not likely have a decent chance of beating the Warriors if both are lucky to be in the Finals.

Let's also read the statement of Nash about the loss.

https://netswire.usatoday.com/lists/brooklyn-nets-quotes-durant-harden-steve-nash-on-loss-vs-warriors/

I think that Irving isn't going to come out. He's just fine sitting on the sidelines.

He is an attention seeker and as Stephen A. has said, betrayed KD. KD has been so unlucky ever since he left GS.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bovada removing bitcoin as payment option on: November 17, 2021, 11:27:27 PM
They can't just remove Bitcoin as an option, most probably they are being force by the situation especially if the regulations are restricting you from using Bitcoin, this is the only reason that I see or better yet you can ask them for a reason.

Bitcoin has been an option on many crypto gambling site since then, even if the fees are quiet expensive so this is a rare move from them, hopefully they give an update with regards to this one.
Regulation might be the major issue causing them to stop the usage of bitcoin into gambling. Apart from that transaction cost is mentioned by most people, but that doesn't make sense. Because coins that have got high transaction fee than bitcoin is there in the updated list.

Hopefully they might be into the accumulation of bitcoin than making it into business. This is what strikes my mind when one has stopped accepting bitcoin into their service all of the sudden.

AFAIK I think they may still be accepting other cryptos?

I'm not sure what regulatory strain they would be under to be honest. There are now a lot of U.S. listed companies that are willing to accept crypto as a form of payment.

I for one definitely do not understand this decision. If they were forced by authorities, fine, but if this was their own doing it is the wrong choice.
391  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fairspin.io | Blockchain Casino to Play & Earn on: November 17, 2021, 10:26:49 PM
It says for me that access is denied?

There are two main concerns that I have. First are the bonuses that you are giving out - they seem terribly generous, would you mind giving a bit more information about the wagering requirements to access them?

Secondly, when exactly will you perform KYC? That is probably a question that a lot of people will ask too.

The Bulls definitely had the best offseason of any team in the NBA.  I really like the young talent they have and Derozan has been playing better than I can remember him ever playing...  I think they're right up there with the Bucks as a second tier eastern team behind the Nets.

Hate to spoil the party but I do think that eventually this will fizzle out.

They are lights out right now everywhere but eventually the high shooting clip will come to an end and DeRozan's inefficiencies will show again.

For now, they are definitely the most fun team to watch in the NBA. There is no debate about that.
393  Economy / Gambling / Re: Multidice.io | The multi-currency dice game | 35+ cryptos on: November 16, 2021, 10:49:42 PM
I think that if you want to position yourself as a primary competitor for multicoin dicing, you do need to accept far more coins.

At the very least you should look at accepting 50+ if not the top 100 coins.

If that is not feasible, perhaps focus on expanding your games range - right now dice is not enough to attract players.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nebraska, Gambling might be too expensive for casinos on: November 16, 2021, 10:01:13 PM
Oh boy, that is a steep price.

Having that sort of restrictive practice on licensing just makes sure that there will never be positive regulation.

It's the complete opposite of what you want casinos to do. You want them to be able to afford the license so that you can actively exert oversight, and make sure that the clients are treated fairly. Not deter them from getting a license.
395  Economy / Gambling / Re: LTC Casino (ltccasino.com) - most fair crypto casino with highest RTP on: November 16, 2021, 09:19:11 PM
I think that it is a bit misleading to claim that you have the highest slot RTP.

You have the highest slot RTP for the games that are offered, sure. But you definitely don't have the highest overall slots RTP.

There are sites with slots that have >99.5% RTP because they have their own proprietary games, compared to Evolution etc.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: X2.5 SOLANA, X2.5 Current price 240 Target 600 on: November 12, 2021, 10:36:58 AM
Personally I don't see it happening.

The NFT hype has died down significantly and the NFT projects on Solana have been disappointing in terms of performance so far, at least compared to the Ether projects.

I'd much rather invest in ETH which already has an established presence, or ADA which is more reasonably priced.

Where do we settle in for the next leg of accumulation?

That's right about... Now.

The pullback from $69k to currently has been very sharp and it's an excellent opportunity for people to jump onboard.

I think that the institutional enthusiasm has not changed a single bit. Fundamentals of BTC are as strong as ever, it'll be a matter of time before we do hit that 6 figure mark. Dollar cost average and buy the dip!
398  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-11-08] Vikram Pandit Says All Big Banks Will Think About Crypto Trading on: November 12, 2021, 02:43:33 AM
I don't think that this was ever a question.

We knew from the beginning that institutions are going to jump on the bandwagon as soon as cryptos take off a bit, because they are in the business of making transactions. They couldn't care less what sort of transactions they are making the market for.

But what actually matters is whether they adopt it into their own proprietary assets. E.g. purchasing BTC, and holding it long term.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are Defi Projects? on: November 12, 2021, 01:29:29 AM
It's basically an umbrella term to describe anything from yield farming to staking and decentralized exchanges.

I doubt that anyone hear can give you a comprehensive summary of what it actually is. But pretty much on a high level, it is trying to replace a lot of the functions that were traditionally executed by centralized entities or exchanges.

Don't get caught up with the hype though. A lot of projects are worthless right now and are only pumped up because of influencers.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a token on Bsc that isn' t a scam? on: November 12, 2021, 01:22:24 AM
My question is: is there some token on bsc that isn' t pumped for bull trap?

An overvalued project =\= a scam project.

There are plenty of legit projects on Bsc. E.g. pancakeswap.

But would I necessarily buy it?

Probably not. The Defi landscape right now is way too overhyped in my honest opinion and I believe that there isn't a lot of real innovation going on (just a bunch of words that are being thrown around left right and centre).
