381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLL [IOTA ]- ICO 2 -Do YOU want to buy IOTA at a reasonable price? OR BIG SCAM? on: March 21, 2016, 11:02:49 AM
@cryptohunter
Have you bought Iota at Ico?

If searching for gold/ gems would be easy, everybody would do it and it would not have value.

Nobody is going to spoonfeed you information, the Ico was 1 month on BCT, lot's of time, totally transparant.

Investing in general and especially investing in crypto is a risk. Never invest more than you are willing to loose.

-snip-

Fuck you and your fud freshly created dummy account.

I don't have a BTT account. I just created it here to get a response on what the ethereum subreddit post claims about lisk.
So it would be appreciated if someone else could manage a more apt response other than the leashed barking dog post above.

I am not a programmer, so I couldn't state you are wrong or right. As you stated yourself even if Lisk is less stable than ethereum, again I'm not saying it is, it is not always the best software/project that will be adopted, it's the best usable, most used and the fastest.

Ethereum is taking ages to release homestead, if Lisk gets up and running faster than Ethereum, the Ethereum project could become absolete.
VHS - Betamax
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Augur - a decentralized prediction market platform on: March 21, 2016, 08:29:29 AM
If the Augur team is not going to crank it up a notch and listen to constructive critisism it will be worth ZERO satoshi.

Augur wants to compete with a billion dollar gambling industry? Realy? With  only 150! predictionmarkets it is lagging like the is no tomorrow.

Dream on guys, this is going nowhere fast.

Every investor that is thinking this is going to work: a lagging, 1990 design style, website at not even 1% of the capacity needed is dreaming.

What will happen with 100.000 - 1.000.000 markets?

Dream on guys, keep talking about the non existing marketprice.

I got a feeling this is going to be Betamax Vs. VHS all over again.

Same here...  Cool 10k BTC!!!

I urge everybody who invested in Augur to give their opinion so the UI can be improved. The team is under the impression this 1990 interface is going to work. Loadtime needs to be under 2 seconds.

If the majority of Augur investors think this is looking great, I Will not go on about it anymore, but I think the majority would like to see something better. It looks like a 4 hour sundaymorning job. This realy is far below avarage!

Community please speak up, and share your opinion.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Augur - a decentralized prediction market platform on: March 19, 2016, 03:58:48 PM
Beta is out. https://augur.net/

What can I say the UI is very disappointing!
I sincerely hope this will be improved on actual release!

Sorry that you aren't enjoying the new UI, that's disappointing to hear as we've had positive feedback from most due to this change. The UI change was mostly due to the very slow loading of what we had during the alpha (sometimes it wouldn't load at all). The current UI has a heavy influence from former InTrade/TradeSports developer Tomas Priecinsky, although may other team members were definitely involved with the changes. I would definitely recommend using the feedback button to share your concerns as we like hearing negative opinions just as much as positive ones...of course we can't guarantee changes will be made, the feedback will be read and will be considered.

I am being critical, and speaking my mind because I think Augur is a great project with a lot of potential, that's why have invested.

A nice looking, fast loading website is an absolute neccesity IMO.

That said: it loads way too slow, even with this interface.
Colors are saturated, typography not opimal (mainly colors, grey fades into the white of the background)
It's only a big slab of text now, with no categories, no pictures.

I am a graphic designer and can assist Augur on that part if wanted.

Thanks

From a state of the art sofwareproject has to be expected that it can produce a very fast website at least...

Additionally, I apologize for not staying more on top of this thread but there are a bunch of discussions about Augur going on and some get checked more than others.

Regarding Gatecoin, Augur is not in the position to endorse any exchange and that extends to Gatecoin, I will personally (as Tony Sakich, not as a representative of Augur) that Gatecoin IS the only way to purchase REP right now and I've heard positive feedback, but as an organization Augur makes no comment on this. We will say that when REP is fully released, we believe (and hope) that multiple exchanges will make it possible for individuals to participate in event reporting on the platform, until then the team is focused on the full release and highly recommend anyone interested in the project at Augur.net as well as the project's GitHub page at http://github.com/augurproject and submit feedback as it's essential to the finished product!

Gatecoin is not selling the actual tokens right?
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: March 18, 2016, 03:07:23 PM
It's everyones free choise to donate or not.
I realy hope we will get to the amount that is needed, I think we will.
I can't say it enough: the only way Iota will become of importance is through widespread addoption.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: March 18, 2016, 02:14:26 PM
Well I think we could even see things on a larger scale:

Bitcoin is only worth: $ 6,381,049,601 which is ofcourse peanuts.
The National Debt of the US alone is about $2.5 billion per day.
Gouverments see bitcoin as a fun exercise, they could crush it at any moment.

Crypto projects and specificly Iot projects are the future, bringing in 'real life' companies would be a tremendous benefit for Iota and it's development.

396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: March 18, 2016, 08:11:11 AM
@yassin54
10k foundation
10k deal

On the matter about donating/ investing or not: Do you want Iota to have the chance of becoming a succesfull Iot project? If you want to be in on this chance, I suggest to participate. I know for sure that if we all sit on our Iota nothing will happen and the token will be useless.

Remember the 10k pizza? If these guys did not distribute bitcoin and give other people a piece of the pie, bitcoin would not have evolved into what it is now.

By the way I think yassin should also be included as a member of the foundation. He is putting a lot of time and effort in Iota, a valuable member!
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA Crowdsale on: March 17, 2016, 04:57:37 PM

You can't realy, but you can make a agreement for btc or nxt asset, to be exchanged when Iota is released.

399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [IOTA] IOTA Speculation on: March 17, 2016, 12:43:46 PM

Lookin at the Genesisblock i see in the first 10 accounts alone well over 250 Mio Iota.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1262688.msg14116556#msg14116556

Whats so hard to get some big holders to give 10% of their stake? It makes much more sense to me than to ask folks with 500.000 Iota to share 100.000.

Well I also think the big holders will benefit from donating to the foundation.

Holders with less iota would want to hold them, but if we are all sitting on our iota's and nothing is happening we are all holding nothing.

I propose that everyone in the community regardless off the amount you have contributes 5%-10% of their stake.

90%-95% of something is alway more than 100% of nothing.
