381  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can A Chrome app be a malwware and steal your private keys? on: November 14, 2020, 01:23:11 PM

We have same method of storing private key. LOL. Anything stored online can be hack and that's the cons of the cloud storage. But if we think about it, Everywhere we store it can be steal or destroy, It's either physically or virtually. So for safety precautions, Just encrypt your private key before you store it on Gmail if you really want to put it there.

I've been using Google drive to store my private key/recovery of my trezor for a very long time and so far my funds is untouchable.

Google drive is ok as long as you know how to encrypt and secure you, I have mine in my gmail and I am using an encryption and authentication to fully secure my private keys but these are disposable wallets where i kept a small amount for trading purposes, my coin storing wallet are on a desktop versions, you need to have different wallets for different usage.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How will crypto behave during a Biden presidency? on: November 14, 2020, 01:02:20 AM
After Biden has been declared the winner of the US presidency, there's a lot of uncertainty regarding to crypto's (and the mainstream economy) behavior during the next 4 years. At times, it's been shown that crypto prices move either up or down depending on certain events in the mainstream world. Some people say that in a Democratic administration, the stock market (and crypto too) will experience a constant uptrend in price. Others say the contrary when Republicans are in power. Since 2020 has been filled with uncertainty, anything could happen in the following months.

This makes me wonder how will a Biden presidency impact crypto? Will crypto continue to soar towards new heights? Do you think that a Democratic administration will be much more friendly towards the crypto/Blockchain industry in general?

Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Smiley

Majority of the movement of the price in the market depends so much on traders and the community, our collective efforts are what guide us, I on my part have nothing to do with Biden, as no part of my decision on the past has something to do when Trump is still holding office, I hope they go friendly but there are so many issues to tackle in the US than getting their noise in Cryptocurrency.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I guess bounty hunters really kill projects on: November 13, 2020, 04:15:21 PM
the Youengine project is still relatively new. their trading volume is still low. If the project team and developer are willing to work hard to increase trading volume, chances are their prices will increase. After all, their product isn't ready to launch either. maybe in early 2021 YOUC token price will recover, because their concept is very good. I advise you to keep your token on hold

2021 will be the year if YOUC will take they are still in the crowdfunding and marketing period, after they distributed their token and since they have a new site now, all ready for their second stage of their road map, let's see if there platform is going to get support from advertisers, investors and the whole community, we'll have to see that in 2021, the token is very cheap good for pump and dump for traders.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pain of bounty hunters on: November 13, 2020, 07:31:39 AM

I urge all the management and bounty managers to treat bounty hunters with respect and they shouldn't be judged.

That should be the case, they are launching bounty campaign because they want to get promoted and they want people to now about their project, so if the project get funded if they did not reach their hard cap at least the bounty hunters have their job.
The project that will not honor their words will not get respect from investors, investors and bounty are actually one they also invest money to support this project.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did anyone try to "gamble" with ponzi scheme crypto scam services? on: November 13, 2020, 04:52:06 AM
I think I do not need to explain what I mean by ponzi crypto scam. Every week I see at least ten new ponzi scheme scams.

They often offer something like 100% interest per 24h (or something similar). They commonly run for quite a few weeks (or months sometimes) before "they go scam" publicly. The obvious idea how to exploit them is to invest something small at the first day, withdraw it as fast as possible and repeat just with the interests from the previous bet (and of course take some money away from every successful round).

Has anyone tried that? Have you been successful? Is this kind of gambling popular/common. Has it name?

The forum is very much successful in exposing these Ponzi Schemes, and anyone posting on this forum, even those that are not in this forum are reported, people should not entertain or even look on this kind of program, if we stop this scheme, many developers will stop creating Ponzi scheme if nobody will entertain these kind of programs.
386  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scammers are using the name of Airdrop to take the wallet's private key. on: November 13, 2020, 01:48:50 AM
It is a very old ploy and its idea was developed by creating wallets and promoting it as safe.

They are targeting new members of this forum, they will not get anything from old members here because they are exposed and discussed here, but for newbies who just got in in this technology, they are a willing victim because they are not aware on how scammers works, we have seen so many newbies complaints in the scam section, they are vulnerable for lack of knowledge.
387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How long until we can bet with bitcoin in real life casinos? on: November 13, 2020, 01:09:45 AM
What do you think?

at some point people will be able to walk in a casino and just bet on slot machines with bitcoin?
or play poker using crypto, but irl?

do you think it will become a mass adoption currency or it'll keep as it is on online websites only?

of course some merchants and places already adopt crypto and BTC as a way of payment, but curious here:
how long you think it'll take to reach the point where we can bet in real life places with bitcoin?

With how the transaction going on, I don't think it can be done  at this point in time, I would like one day to walk in a physical casino and use my Bitcoin to play slot or any games in Casinos but I cannot wait at least 30 minutes before I can make a bet,  I am ok as long as there are ATM on every gambling casinos so I can exchange my Bitcoin to fiat and buy chips.
388  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto is not for the weak on: November 12, 2020, 01:21:42 PM
Getting into crypto is not as easy as abc, as a newbie you will feel stupid at some point or even look stupid due to the question you ask or how you relate with people. Scammers will try to scam you the moment you ask a noob question in the telegram group. Hackers will also try to steal from you by tricking you into giving them your private keys/ recovery phrase.

Just embrace the first rule, not your key not your coins and no hackers or scammers can fool you into giving them your private keys

This crypto world is a jungle but you're in a forum where you can learn almost everything you need to learn, there are experts here ready to assist you and guide you, all you need to do is ask. But first you must read the rules, it will take awhile to get a hang of most things here as i am still learning the rules too.
Not really if you just allocate time and effort into understanding the many things about Cryptocurrency in short, educating yourself

389  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn If im beginner on: November 12, 2020, 10:06:45 AM

Older members talking Only work hard and blahhh.. Blahh bs.
But If I dont have food and no Job how I make something?
Im sure many guys Here have same question!

I'm sorry to trash your post but Bitcointalk do not have an obligation to give you a job here, it's not how this forum works, this is a forum where we talk about Cryptocurrency advancement and adoption, if you want to participate in a bounty campaign it's your job to find one for yourself, with the so many scam projects it's not anybody's obligation here to find you one and get the blame if the project you got from recommendation is a scam one.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is an entertainment? on: November 12, 2020, 05:15:59 AM
Most of the people states that gambling is form of entertainment but the reality is different gambling is like business where people look to make more money from investing little money but most of them will get failed.

So in your view gambling is business or entertainment, answer honestly. Cheesy
Gambling should be treated as an entertainment, even if you are good in winning you should still treat it as a way to entertain people, there's no way you can continuously win in gambling, there are people who are lucky in gambling that is why they win big amount but it will not happen all the time, so moderate yourself even if you are winning a lot.
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers forced into unpaid leave on: November 11, 2020, 09:57:17 AM
It just reflect how bad the situation in Macau, the gambling capital of the world, they heavily rely on gambling, take this away from this country and they will looked like a third world country, the management I guess have no option, they also need to survive, and since the salary is a main concern they have to cut the cost and the victims are their employees, if workers have other option then they should look for other opportunities like what the 8% did.
392  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Using private key for spending bitcoin on: November 11, 2020, 01:48:58 AM
Noob here...

To receive bitcoin all that is needed is the public key (address)

However to spend ones bitcoin or convert it back to fiat currency through an exchange it looks like one must enter a private key.

Transacting with this private key without encrypting it would be unsecure... so how does this work? Is this what a digital signature is?

I've researched this a lot and can't seem to find a clear answer.

Thanks in advance... and for your patience.

You will not in anyway will use your private key insert it or fill it even if the site has been reported trusted, you should be the only one to know what your private key is, no third party should know it, unless you have a full trust on it, you are your own bank and everything depends on that private keys, it's  your keys not your coins thing, and no trusted exchange will ask for your private key.
393  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake Uniswap and MEW on: November 10, 2020, 12:16:43 PM
There are two things that you must do when you are investing in Cryptocurrency and that is how to traced fake wallets and projects, and two how to safeguard your passphrase and private keys, these two are very essential and basic, hackers are good in imitation and making people believe what they saw, so have a discerning eyes and you are good to go.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Metamask phishing site on: November 09, 2020, 11:20:37 PM

395  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetKing.io Relaunch (uncensored betking-scam thread) on: November 09, 2020, 10:54:56 PM
I made a comment in his new thread & he deleted it. Any company that uses a self moderated thread is not to be trusted. If you have nothing to hide why censor people?

Good work JollyGood, people need to be well aware of Dean Nolan & how he goes about business (if you call it that). He obviously had a nice slice of scam pie & he’s come back for another.

Much more so on a gambling thread they should not moderate their official thread, or members that has issues on their website will just go straight in the scam section and  create thread there, Betking has no transparency and they have not yet resolve their issues, this thread will generate more awareness and comments than Betking official thread.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a world power? on: November 09, 2020, 12:42:05 PM
This will increase the creativity in bitcoin world.Have we thought of this, I’m seeing bitcoin leading the world as the world power cryptocurrency. If a president of the world power is a trader and in support of bitcoin, It will affect bitcoin positively, countries, people will now start to legalize bitcoin on their own.So it will be great if this happens, I do understand that bitcoin is not a physical cash, that doesn’t stopped anything,You can move with millions of dollars in your wallet as bitcoin. It will be a positive impact if this happens.

We are moving forward to that and there's a big possible that it will happen, and it's going to happen as long as company like PayPal will support and continue to support Cryptocurrency and country will not restrict their citizen from using Bitcoin, but we all know the government they want to control and restrict everything, but in ten years we'll see if Bitcoin become the most used currency.
397  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is getting ready for 20k again on: November 09, 2020, 11:02:53 AM
Impressive performance from the past couple of weeks is this the effect of American election?

BTC has pumped 9% in the past one week and has gained the momentum and inching towards 15k now after 2017 it has broked the 14 k barrier and setting up for new heights guys this performance from BTC was remarkable and a boost for many altcoins too. I guess it will break 20k barrier by the end of the year hopefully.

Because of Bitcoin's sudden surge in the market, people are quick to speculate about the price, about another all time high you can't blame people they waited a long time for the next all time high, but I prefer to take things easy, Bitcoin is ready to reach the $20 k level it's only a matter of time, so far the market keeps improving if this go on for two months we;ll reach the $20  mark.
398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambled against Biden - funniest instance on: November 09, 2020, 07:56:38 AM
The President of Hungary acts very childish, if he is against Biden he should not openly and publicly post it and just make it personal if he wants to bet against Biden, what he wants to prove here, that he wants to please Trump?
His action back fired now he wants to make amends by congratulating Biden, not really good move for the current President of Hungary.
399  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we headed to a new all time high now that momentum is very high on: November 08, 2020, 10:52:57 PM
Just as momentum is going high at some point there's always a period when the movement of the market is slowing down, we will have another all time high for sure but not in a way that we will get there immediately from $15 k to $18k then $21k, the phase is rather slow but enough to have confidence in the market, I like this kind of movement slow but sure.
400  Economy / Speculation / Re: All time high is just around the corner are you selling all on: November 08, 2020, 02:34:20 PM
It's very tempting to do that, but I have seen a lot of investors getting burned because they have not invested with their own money and instead they take up a loan which is double the risk, investing in Cryptocurrency market is like gambling only invest or bet what you can afford to lose and you will come out ok, it's better to have less than worrying a lot.
