I still have some DuckCoins, are they still usable with the new wallet?
I think if you open the old wallet file in the new XDN wallet, it should work. You should see your coins there. I also had some old duckNote wallet and it open in the new one without any problem. It takes a few hours to synchronize though.

I don't have a server to run it, but if Minergate or other big pool doesn't join in, it would be great is somebody could start a QCN mining pool running Forknote daemon. It's probably the only way to success...

yup...solved the mistery...only ethereum based tokens in reserve. eyal response on telegram: "Since Bancor will initially operate on Ethereum, only Ethereum based assets can be used as reserves, however external assets can always be "tokenized" and used as reserves in Bancor, for example Digix is tokenizing gold as Ethereum token."
This is awesome to know Bancor is bringing new experience for people so this would be very huge. This is most awaited project everybody is waiting to invest into this ICO this team is very professional so that it is amazing to be part of this. After some more research, i will be very keen to participate too Same here, it seems to me that Bancor has a great potential. Let's hope the time will prove us right.

Dnote made announcment on ICCO here?! Long time he is offline.
ICCO Terms and answers to some questions by dNote on Ryver today ( https://digitalnote.ryver.com): "1. HitBTC will open new market called XDN-ICCO 2. Any user will be able to fund his XDN-ICCO hitbtc address with DigitalNote. This is called Initial Crowdfunding stage. One week is a duration of IC stage. XDN-ICCO wallet will be open only for deposit for one week. After one week deposits to XDN-ICCO wallet will be closed. After that users shares will be calculated. Imagine 1000 users will fund XDN-ICCO wallet with 1000 XDN in total, like every person will send 1 XDN. Single user share = 1/1000 in that case. After one week the second stage will be started. The new XDN-ICCO sale market will be open at HitBTC with a fixed 320000XDN lots and fixed prices, 0.5->0.6->0.7BTC. CO stage will have a max. duration of 4 weeks. If all XDN-ICCO funds will be sold earlier, ICCO will be closed. After that the amount of sold XDN will be calculated and participants will get BTC according to their share. In case there will be unsold XDN participants will have XDN refund as well as BTC reward, according to their share. 1. There will be several wallets to ensure funds security. 2. There will be cold wallets to ensure funds security 3. Cold wallets will be controlled by XDN team. Since HitBTC don't need to have XDN on hot wallets because there will be no withdrawals from XDN-ICCO wallets before ICCO ends. Also I want to admit - HitBTC is an exchange with high reputation and big trading volumes. You can treat ICCO as a "Great coins redistribution" for easy understanding." I don't really understand this whole ICCO thing, but the XDN price is rising rapidly, which is good

Just registered for the signature campaign airdrop. Thanks

In case you guys still do not do it - please use Forknote v2.0.1.1 for pools/exchanges/wallets or implement the security fix from the bytecoin repository (or forknote repository). We already contacted Minergate and Hitbtc to update to Forknote or implement our fix, but we have no confirmation are did they actually fixed this
Looking at the hash rates, it looks like Minergate is going to be the key here. I'll try to contact them as well.

What do you think about mining this? Is it better to focus on Bytecoin or XMR?
Hard to say, depends if you want to risk or not. This coin is kind of abandoned now so it has low value and if nothing special happens, it will probably have no value at all in the future. However, for the same reason it also has very low hash rate/difficulty, so you can mine a lot of coins with little effort. Thus, if you bet that some dev will possibly take over in the future and the coin will revive, you can profit quite a lot

Thank you and good luck!

Any update on this? It looks like most of the QCN hashing power is concentrated on MinerGate, so I guess they would have to get involved... COMMUNITY PROPOSAL FOR RESURRECTING QUAZARCOINIf anyone else is interested in resurrecting this coin please follow the instructions bellow and start solo-mining, with enough hashrate QCN will fork and will be on pair with Bytecoin latest code but with a much better emission curve, coin re-branding and exchange listing could follow.Hello, I added support for QuazarCoin in Forknote. It will give you a daemon and simplewallet with equivalent version of Bytecoin 1.0.5.1. To use it, download the Forknote binaries or compile them. More info here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1079306.0Download the configuration file for QuazarCoin and save it in the 'configs' folder of Forknote: https://github.com/forknote/configs/blob/master/quazarcoin.confDaemon start: forknoted.exe --config-file configs\quazarcoin.conf ./forknoted --config-file configs/quazarcoin.conf Simplewallet start: simplewallet.exe --config-file configs\quazarcoin.conf ./simplewallet --config-file configs/quazarcoin.conf How to transfer your old wallet? Copy your .keys file to the Forknote folder. Open it with simplewallet. If anyone with a pool want to get behind the idea we can all mine together until the fork happens.

Quazar community might be better choice for you, they really need a boost, so would have better attitude.
The wallet looks really good. As was said above, please do consider QuazarCoin, something like this would be much appreciated.

someone is buying qcn?
Yes, you can exchange QCN for example on Changelly.
|
|
|
Is it on an exchange?
I don't think so, but I guess it would be listed on exchanges very soon if someone takes over and start developing it again.
|
|
|
It would be nice if some dev could take over...
|
|
|
Monero for sure, ether and zcash 😇
These are the best choices also in my opinion.

|
5 x Asus Strix RX 480 8 GB
Corsair HX1000i
Asus Prime H270-PLUS
120 GB SSD
It might be good enough to try mining some cryptonote coins like Monero.
|
|
|
There will be always someone who develops a GPU miner for any coin and GPU mining is always going to be more profitable. It's still more-less OK to CPU-mine cryptonotes (Monero and clones) IMHO.

Great news, welcome back dev

I'm very happy that there is some progress, thank you guys!

Soon we will make a big announce, like RoadMap 2.0. Not related to SuperNET, but DarkNote only features.
It is great that the development is progressing so fast
