Sorry to hear that. Would you please contact me and give me more details about the issue? What is the wallet you mined with so I can recheck? Disconnections? -- yes it's possible, I restarted a daemon tommorow, but it was just a few seconds. Blocks you found disappered? -- It's a very big issue. Could you please tell which block in detail, so I can recheck? It's definitely not OK if blocks you found just disappear.

Quazar community should reach out to this guy I have appreciated light wallet like Electrum and Multibit for Bitcoin since download the whole blockchain is an annoying and resource wasting process. So 8 months ago I have started to work on an alternative wallet based on Multibit approach for Monero: "MoneroBank" an easy to use Java GUI wallet for Monero aimed to give best user experience even for not geeky people. Main features: -lightweight, no need to download the whole blockchain locally -no need use of command lines; -multiplatform; -fast; -contacts list; -charts and statistics; -double private key encryption; -tor proxy support; No additional fees to the standard Monero fee the service will be mantained only with donations. In future will be developed even a mobile version for Android(certainly) and iOS (if some other developer wants to help). The project is under heavy development however the desktop version is almost completed and source and binaries will be uploaded in coming months at this link: https://github.com/PaulNor/MoneroBankTo support the project you can donate XMR to: (no more donation address) your help would be greatly appreciated To contact me for collaboration you can send me a private message. For suggestion or feature request reply to this thread. Thanks. EDIT The lack of respect of Monero community in less than a day was be able to irritate me to the point that the whole project will be migrated to an alternative Cryptonote based cryptocurrency, no more donation address. Sorry but the community is important for a cryptocurrency and I don't want to have nothing to do with a bunch of angry troll who spread shit on people that try to give their free contribute. Looks like a great opportunity!

Any update on this? It looks like most of the QCN hashing power is concentrated on MinerGate, so I guess they would have to get involved... COMMUNITY PROPOSAL FOR RESURRECTING QUAZARCOINIf anyone else is interested in resurrecting this coin please follow the instructions bellow and start solo-mining, with enough hashrate QCN will fork and will be on pair with Bytecoin latest code but with a much better emission curve, coin re-branding and exchange listing could follow.Hello, I added support for QuazarCoin in Forknote. It will give you a daemon and simplewallet with equivalent version of Bytecoin 1.0.5.1. To use it, download the Forknote binaries or compile them. More info here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1079306.0Download the configuration file for QuazarCoin and save it in the 'configs' folder of Forknote: https://github.com/forknote/configs/blob/master/quazarcoin.confDaemon start: forknoted.exe --config-file configs\quazarcoin.conf ./forknoted --config-file configs/quazarcoin.conf Simplewallet start: simplewallet.exe --config-file configs\quazarcoin.conf ./simplewallet --config-file configs/quazarcoin.conf How to transfer your old wallet? Copy your .keys file to the Forknote folder. Open it with simplewallet. If anyone with a pool want to get behind the idea we can all mine together until the fork happens.

What do you think about mining this? Is it better to focus on Bytecoin or XMR?

In case you guys still do not do it - please use Forknote v2.0.1.1 for pools/exchanges/wallets or implement the security fix from the bytecoin repository (or forknote repository). We already contacted Minergate and Hitbtc to update to Forknote or implement our fix, but we have no confirmation are did they actually fixed this

Hard to say, depends if you want to risk or not. This coin is kind of abandoned now so it has low value and if nothing special happens, it will probably have no value at all in the future. However, for the same reason it also has very low hash rate/difficulty, so you can mine a lot of coins with little effort. Thus, if you bet that some dev will possibly take over in the future and the coin will revive, you can profit quite a lot

Looking at the hash rates, it looks like Minergate is going to be the key here. I'll try to contact them as well.

This coin seems to be dead, because the developer does not show signs of life. But no problem, Minergate still supports mining QuazarCoin and there is still an active exchange, HitBTC.
I started mining this coin because its difficulty, right now, is very low, and I do not have a big mining machine. In almost a week, I've mined 400 coins.
I am hopeful that in the near future, this currency will revive, but we ALL need to help make this possible. Someone with knowledge in the development of cryptocurrencies should help us, or we are condemned to oblivion. Someone like slb, PaulNor, or the creator himself, OracionSeis (I tried to find some mail with which to contact him but I did not find anything).
I really like the emission curve, as OracionSeis himself said, is similar to that of Bitcoin. In addition, it is a cryptocurrency in which if you have an insignificant amount, like me, it may be a big money in the future ...
That's why I decided to create an account in this forum and help revive this currency, now is the time! Maybe it sounds a bit scam, but believe me, I'm a simple miner who is very interested in cryptocurrency.
As Nanashi himself said, quoting slb:COMMUNITY PROPOSAL FOR RESURRECTING QUAZARCOINIf anyone else is interested in resurrecting this coin please follow the instructions bellow and start solo-mining, with enough hashrate QCN will fork and will be on pair with Bytecoin latest code but with a much better emission curve, coin re-branding and exchange listing could follow.Hello, I added support for QuazarCoin in Forknote. Copy your .keys file to the Forknote folder. Open it with simplewallet. If anyone with a pool want to get behind the idea we can all mine together until the fork happens. Using the latest version, of course:Well, that is to be able to access a portfolio, in a very simple and to this day. I strongly recommend creating a .bat to access the wallet, for example, wallet.bat that contains:
simplewallet.exe --config-file configs\quazarcoin.conf And another to synchronize the blocks of QuazarCoin, sync.bat containing:
forknoted.exe --config-file configs\quazarcoin.conf All located in the Forknote folder, of course.
This is where I come to help. I've been syncing all QuazarCoin blocks to this day at 9:00 AM UTC, everything weighs 5GB, compressed almost 3GB and I uploaded it to MEGA.
The steps to follow to be able to synchronize QuazarCoin quickly are the following:
1.- Download the file already mentioned above.
2.- Unzip the file, you will have a folder called quazarcoin.
3.- Move it to C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming and replace it if necessary. A shortcut to go here is to access the Windows Command Prompt (for example, by pressing the Windows + R key) and typing %appdata%.
4.- Once it has been copied, go to the folder where you have Forknote and run the sync.bat from before, to update the new blocks from today's upload date. It is very important that you write exit to exit the synchronization, but right now DO NOT leave.
5.-Then open the wallet (wallet.bat). You will get this message:
Nor 'generate-new-wallet' neither 'wallet-file' argument was specified. What do you want to do? - pen existing wallet, [G]enerate new wallet file, mport wallet or [E]xit.
Just type G and then press Enter. Put the name you want and a very secure password...
It is very important that when opening the wallet, the sync must be open, or else a message similar to this will appear:
2017-Jun-01 13:25:42.513658 ERROR Error: wallet failed to connect to daemon ( http://localhost:23081). 2017-Jun-01 13:25:44.946695 ERROR [BlockchainSynchronizer] Failed to query outdated pool transaction: NodeErrorCategory:7, Can't connect to daemon 6.- A .wallet file will be generated with the name you have put it and an .address file containing your QuazarCoin address.
7.- You can see your QuazarCoin address by opening the file .address with Notepad (for example) or entering wallet.bat, opening your wallet (with the name you have put it before), and once inside by writting address and then press Enter, to see all the options write help and then press Enter.
At this address you can send all mined QCNs to the Minergate pool, or any other (hopefully in the future there will be more).
I'm sorry if everything you've read already knew, or you knew how to do it, but I've written it thinking about new people in this world like me.
If you see something wrong in this comment, or you want to correct something, do not hesitate to correct me.
See you, and long life for QuazarCoin!
