381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do most of you guys only care about partnerships & roadmaps? on: August 20, 2021, 12:33:59 PM
With so many coins on the market, it is very difficult to detect which projects are being carried out seriously or have the potential for success in the future. Reading the roadmap and partnership is the simplest thing because it is usually shown at the beginning of the promotion. but it is not a certainty that a project will be successful or be handled seriously. strongly agree with you that the technology offered must be properly visible or tested it . not just writing and planning alone.
382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take for a game to "hook" people on: August 20, 2021, 12:26:17 PM
I see your point with same risk and indeed, lottery is the old-fashioned ways but this NFT's games where more people are engaged right now.
It's the new way to hook the attentions and bring more money to this business.

From the concept offered and the existing business model between lottery and NFT, I think it's very different. one sells dreams. the other provides certainty.
the "hook" system in nft is in the certainty of the benefits. The financial ecosystem they have built makes it a plus point to attract new users.

383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Can We Expect Gambling on Axie Infinity? on: August 20, 2021, 12:20:29 PM
I don't really think that this will lead to an ingame gambling feature that is built into axies infinity because i think it just does not fit into the game World of axie and would probably have a negative impact on the game in the longterm.

Just as I thought. the axie concept is not for gambling. but to play for earnings. if the gambling element is too strong it may be banned by some countries. and provide a new view of nft games in a negative way. if gambling is outside of Axie's platform and only for personal players, it's still possible to exist in some casino.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: August 20, 2021, 12:11:54 PM
It's not too risky depending the game. If it's a well developed game which people also play for fun and because the game is good the risk is lower. But if the game is just like a common site where players click few times a day to collect daily income then the risk is much higher. It's like low and high risk bets. Between both options I think it's better to invest in the first category, because they tend to last longer and make more success on long run.
Most of NFT games are built for their user ecosystem and not for players risk their money. so yes nft are less risk than gambling . the concept is play to earn. and of course capital is needed to start because basically this is a financial investment in a gaming system. maybe there is an NFT that provides gambling features like that. but what is popular today in NFT games are offers more user play to earn.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Polkadot and Uniswap Survive? on: August 20, 2021, 11:55:44 AM
Polkadot and Uniswap are both present in the crypto market in 2020. As a relatively new coin in the market, many are asking and thinking whether they will survive in the midst of the great old coins?

There is plenty old coin which in my opinion has no function at all that can be useful but still exists and has its own community. what more if you talk about uniswap and polkadots which so far have had a lot of impact on other people and other bussiness. I am sure that in the future they will still exist and many will be helped by the services they offer as well as their coins.

386  Economy / Economics / Re: How to identify high-quality projects in the primary market? on: August 20, 2021, 11:44:47 AM
its not 1600 coins now. its 8800 now according to coingecko.

I hardly advise against this kind of gambling. You have bigger chances at the casino. In casiono its like 49:51 (win loss) here it is 1:9999 and reward is not worth the risk.

Yes it is not possible to detect all of that one by one. seems like right know its not about  people looking for a good project. but a project that must be able to reach potential customers. with big promotions can be a plus point. but this can also hinder for good projects without big capital to exist in market.
387  Economy / Economics / Re: Die today, Die tommorrow, the same dying! still get vaccinated! on: August 20, 2021, 11:32:56 AM
Life is wonderful and precious so take care of it and avoid things that can destroy life. This covid19 and pandemic could be avoided by practicing minimum health standard protocol and taking the vaccines. Vaccines can possibly end this pandemic and we can live to a normal life again. Let us help fight the pandemic by getting vaccine.

Are you willing to be vaccinated?

im okay to get vaccinnated and also in my country now all things related to meet other people in the future must have a vaccine letter. maybe that's what discourages people from getting vaccines because there's still bad news about the effects of vaccines. although the source of the news is not clear. but the media picked up this news. and there is always exist people as opposition for new era.
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: With all your assets, Investing in Bitcoin is really a madness or beneficial ? on: August 20, 2021, 11:29:24 AM
as Bitcoin came down in past months . it can be a great loss for those who invest madly !

Must drop your suggestion !

news like that will repeatly appear in the future also. what else in crypto . it all comes back to someone's faith in bitcoin itself. there is still many people believe bitcoin in the future will be much higher than today including me. and perhaps this statement becomes a question on what basis. simply faith of bitcoin and blockchain technolgy. worth it or not you decide . but indeed investing full in one basket is not wise to do.
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: August 20, 2021, 11:27:56 AM
It helps a lot from a financial point of view. and it also help me to Avoid using credit cards online. facilitate international transactions. expand my business wider and international reach . what has been clear so far has always provided convenience and a positive impact for me and the business.
maybe I've been fooled by fake cloud investments and lost assets because of bitcoin. but this is completely my fault not bitcoin. bitcoin has had a positive impact so far.
390  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency and entertainment. on: August 19, 2021, 01:17:15 PM
Been thinking - What do you think is the biggest news cryptocurrency needs that will increase its popularity?

If you remember ews of Elon Musk with support for crypto currencies and bitcoin had a good impact right ? on the crypto community and bitcoin price. which becomes a bad thing only when he supports doge and people think he manipulate market prices. so I think when there is a public figure who has an impact on an economy supporting crypto / bitcoin in real bussiness and open about it. it will definitely have a good impact on crypto.
391  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you be able to take an additional work if required? on: August 19, 2021, 01:14:01 PM
What is the situation in your country and for yourself? Would you be able to land additional work for example working with crypto, selling stuff on-line, youtubing or something else?

The situation in my country because of this pandemic is still implementing social distancing and working from home. but not as tight as it used to be. many people are already outside the environment, but the use of masks still has to be done or there is a penalty that must be paid. it seems that currently what is still difficult is the people that should work among the crowd because their job are less than before and many thing are done by digital platform.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is not a rival of Bitcoin on: August 19, 2021, 01:05:00 PM
The comparison of the value of etherum and bitcoin is very far, the price of one BTC is $ 45,975 and one Etherum is $ 3,152 (15 August 2021, 16:53:00). Etherum is far behind BTC, although Etherum’s current popularity is great, unfortunately Etherum still can’t be the first in the market. what do you think?

Because it is not a coin that is competitive with each other. instead are ETH dependent on BTC. and all altcoins basically depend on the price of BTC. altcoin prices will always depend on BTC and that's for sure. the high price of a coin is not a benchmark that the coin is better than others. if you look at the market there are also coins that are higher than BTC but it doesn't mean they are greater.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: August 19, 2021, 12:53:31 PM
If you also want to join and play axies infinity then you need to own at least 3 axies. The last time i checked 1 axie did cost around 300 $, which means you need to invest 900 $ to even start the game with the absolute minimal Equipment.

before the price of axie goes up, you can still buy $20-100 per axie. now because the price is quite high compare few month ago its become another consideration to starting. but so far, axie still offers many things, such as there will be many updates in the future thats makes axie ecosystem is still worth it to join from now.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on the Paralympic Games? Ethical or not? on: August 19, 2021, 12:43:57 PM
It seems to me that people with disabilities do not care whether there are stakes in the Paralympics or not. They want to be useful members of society and that their rights and dignity are not infringed upon by the common man, the employer and the state.

People with disabilities but don't give up on their dreams and don't make excuses for quitting are real heroes. when they think that they are like ordinary people why do we have to look at it from the negative way, right? Surely they want to be seen and considered like other professional athletes. and they are deserve better appreciation for their dedication.

395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch introduces restrictions on gambling-related links - deadline 17 Aug on: August 19, 2021, 12:34:17 PM
It's good that they do have restrictions but I think it's much better if they filtered out real and fake gambling sites, but I think it's really hard work to spot which sites are fake or not since some legitimate gambling sites can turn into scam and there's no way we can predict or to know that.

that might be the problem. they don't filter which ones are legit or not. but generalizes everything. Their idea of protecting their users from fake casinos and online scams is very good. but there must be a way other than completely banning streamers from sharing their ref links. but it seems that very few gambling streamers have complained about this policy, they can still exist on Twitch and get other benefits from streaming.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are some individuals hostile to Bitcoin? on: August 19, 2021, 12:27:18 PM
What are their motives could it be that they are just anti Bitcoin or attacking Bitcoin because it is a competitor that will soon push them out of business.

lack of knowledge and information about crypto or bitcoin that gives them such assumptions. Even people who are considered expert economists when asked for views on crypto but don't really understand about it some people are still dare to give the wrong education about crypto. the media like to provide sources who are only famous even though it is not their field. and that's what the media always do.

397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the price of Bitcoin variable and can it stabilize? on: August 19, 2021, 12:22:44 PM
Hi I am Ali and this is my first post on Bitcoin Talk.
Because the bitcoin economy is new, its new nature, and sometimes illiquid markets, the price of Bitcoin can increase or fall unforeseenly in a short period of time. But with the increase in liquidity, this market can gain public trust, as can Fiat currencies, even though it is not of a physical nature.

the currency is never stable. what distinguishes crypto from other assets is the fluctuating price. then it is more appropriate to call it a commodity asset. because supply and demand also affect the price of bitcoin. and in my opinion this actually gives a unique thing to the characteristics of bitcoin.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the legal status of Bitcoin in your country? on: August 19, 2021, 12:10:36 PM
What is the situation in other countries that you know of? And do you think the world will start accepting it or will regulate and see it only as a "store of value" and not a currency?

In my country " Indonesia " Cryptocurrency is allowed only as a commodity asset. not for payment. people can stored their asset and access some legal exchange for it, and the legality of the exchange in my country allows cryptocurrency trading and ownership of it. although there is a list for coin that is allowed or not ( not all coin listed ) there is a special institution that assesses what coins can be listed by an exchange in my country.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano Smart Contracts coming soon? on: August 15, 2021, 10:25:21 AM
If the cardano smart contract really happensdo you think cardano will be able to become a rival to bitcoin, ethereum and binance?
Your opinion its appreciated in this discussion.  Smiley

Cardano already has a large community and users in the crypto market. so if there is a new innovation that they offer, it will definitely have a good impact, so it is very possible to compete with other smart contracts such as ETH or BSC as long their smart contracts are good in many ways as the existing ones today.
