I wonder why bitcoinwisdom doesn't include this particular coin... It would be cool to draw some charts to know when to buy.  Or is there any other pages one can have similar type of charts of this coin? Poloniex's charts suck badly.  |

Back in 2015 I'm looking at Darkcoin/Dash too. But because of the "instamined coin" issue, I chose Monero. Thanks again to this warning, I made a profitable decision!  I've been thinking about intentional cripple miner released to the public by monero devs, when thinking about investing in xmr. But made a decission and invested in both, Dash and monero, before they reached $1. That decission was more profitable  In my books, Dark coin is not considered as a scam coin/"shitcoin" anymore the reason being the simple fact that they have been able to pump is higher than the initial pump. As a speculator, I do not care too much about having the shiniest tech but the fact that the price goes higher than during the previous pumps. Shitcoins cannot do it. |

Despite the price has risen the markets seem to like Dark coins twice as much as Moneros (Monero's marketcap 250 million usd vs. the market cap of Darkcoin 550 million usd)...   |

The strength of Dark coin is that it is centralized and 4.1 million coins are locked in masternodes so the pumping can be done only with 3 million coins and thus create an illusion of mass adoption.

I think we should do something temporarily to their marketing scheme so that the price will not pump and it becomes more affordable for average Joes... What do you think? Who are you guys? You, Spoetnik, ceti and Evan? Why would you guys want to ruin your marketing scheme? It brings you bread on your table. Because it is better that Dark coin is cheap so that we can afford to buy some before they pump it next time even higher. what if these price is cheap and dark coin is going to 0.1? better to buy know and don't regret later, because i was thinking like you when the past week dash was still at 0.03 now it's double, really regretting not buying more damn i think before we buy dark coin, we need to learn something about the trend or the buy and sell position in the market so we can make right decision and we can take profit. the price of dark is now too high, maybe we need to wait for a while so we can see the price is getting down and if this is getting down, make sure that you are ready to buy dark coin. Exactly this. Waiting now is the key to make money with Dark coin, if the trolls are successful they can bring Dark coin to the bottom faster and we can enter when the sentiment is hostile. |

The "Dash is a scam" argument doesn't work. Open your eyes. Look at the price.
Fiat money is a scam too. No one cares.
I've tried to explain this all the time. The fact that a coin has a premine doesn't make it scam in the first place. It is just the seed fund/starting capital of the project and means to pay to the developers. That being said, I advice to be extremely critical to the coins with premine - the premine is incentivizing scammish activities (dump the premine to the noobs and run to the next scam). To claim Dark coin a scam is using the same logic that a start up is a scam because it has initial funding from the investors. When it comes to pyramid schemes, any coin is a pyramid scheme: the new buyers bail the current holders/miners out. So in that sense Dark coin is not a scam either more than any other investment. Quite the opposite, the pyramid is the form of investment that can make one rich. |

Okay I will wait until the dump comes.
It is saver to buy when the majority is underwater and living in denial. That being said, the price I might be buying might be higher from the current price but the sentiment should be more favorable for an investor to enter.
I've learned my lessons already: buy whenever the blood is on the streets.

It is a good thing from the perspective of an investor since (s)he knows there will be demand for the coins so it is unlikely to see a situation of no demand for coins. Actually i think Dash main use case will be much more clearly visible in 8 months, this is just smart money moving in i think. And its main case will not be about masternode profits (although the masternodes are vital to it). What will be the main use case of this coin in 8 months? Masternodes are a good way to lock the coins from the exchanges... Right now in Poloniex there are around 20 k coins for sale (give or take) so even a small increase in the demand of this coin will make the price to skyrocket. Its about having an effective instant decentralized payment solution that is missing currently in the financial markets. Oh I see... To me this sounds more like a feature, not a usecase. The problem with cryptos in general is that there is very little to no use for them in the real world (other than trading on exchanges). That is because Bitcoin failed to be adopted in the real world on mainstream level. Point of sales markets where you can pay for a product and have it confirmed with like creditcard speed are just out of reach for Bitcoin with its 10 minute confirmation time and increasingly higher fees. Dash has basicly nailed this aspect and can therefore open many more (new) markets then Bitcoin ever can. Dash is currently like a wet dream for longterm investors as it is getting close to provide the complete package to the world (Dash Evolution) and has a great track record on delivering what it promise. I agree that this particular coin has catched my eyes but I am not willing to pay the current price for my coins. Much better to wait when the drop comes and try to bottom-fish... Probably I am going to buy next round this one but now I just need to follow the price movement and wait for the right time to enter. When do you think there will be the next major correction? |
