381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much did you make from gambling in 2018! on: December 30, 2018, 04:00:31 PM
I tried to go through the home page of bitvest this afternoon and I find out that about 70% of the open trade were in green. It seems many bet are in positive and that means alot has been made this year.  How much did you made from all your betting and gambling this year?
I remember I have lost about 0.15 in total, I have probably waged a bit over 2 bitcoins and all of that came from bets that were around 100 satoshi or so each time, never really liked gambling a lot all at once so I keep the amounts quite low.

I didn't really gambled all that much this year because trading was already gambling enough so while focusing on not losing the money I have it was quite impossible to keep track of gambling wins and losses and also enjoy them, sometimes I just gambled because I have lost so much money that at that point I could lose some more and at least do something I like doing instead of just having bitcoin and being punished for it.

I aim to increase my wagered amount next year if the price goes higher though, when the prices are going down gambling isn't all that fun so I will be checking the price and wager accordingly.
382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: List Exchanges Hacked 2011/2018 on: December 29, 2018, 04:54:34 PM
The real scary part is how the numbers increased like crazy at the end there. I mean we all remember when cryptsy and mt.gox got hacked and lost a bunch of bitcoins (well "hacked" but I think they have it) but in the end if you look just 2018 hacked places and how much they were hacked, it is just double the rest in on year probably.

It is really getting out of hand because hackers probably realized that they are literally taking money governments are not caring about so its getting easier for them to steal bitcoin, it would be a lot harder and riskier if they hacked people to get dollars but hacking for bitcoin is better for them.

About 800 million dollars! was stolen this year, that is really crazy to think someone has that much crypto currencies as a person (or a group) and they got it scott free without any punishment.
383  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Need To Put Your Emotion in Trading ? on: December 29, 2018, 04:16:18 PM
I agree that we cannot eliminate emotions completely but we should be able to control it whenever we need to do so. Because without controlling emotions, you will never find success in our life. Emotions are part of life but it will lead to deviate from our original trading plans. If you want to follow your trading plans then you should be capable of controlling your emotions. Trade as per your plans that is the only way to make profits.
It is easier to state or advice someone else, but too hard to follow while you are trading. I am well aware of what you have mentioned but I am also getting emotionally failed while trading due to sudden fluctuations of market. This is how market always is working for all the traders but professional traders are not behaving emotionally. They have become professional trader is only because of their having control over their emotions.

1. You must try in very low capital before you are good with your emotions control.
2. When you are unable to trade emotions free then it is good to go for holding cryptos kind of trading which will be good in long-term as you do not need to have active trading on daily basis.
Good suggestions. Emotion control will be possible only after years of experience but most of the people are not ready to wait for a longer period before engaging themselves into trading with big capital. That is the reason they are facing lots of problems later on. Holding kind of trading must be the easiest way to get rid of our emotions.
384  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did you lose your confidence as an investor? on: December 29, 2018, 03:46:22 PM
did you have the courage to hodl your coins and have your confidence intact just as before? Or did the extreme hustle of the bearish markets ended everything for you and even compelled you in such a way that you're now no more going to put anything in cryptocurrencies?
I believe I never need to worry due to this downfall of crypto markets. Basically, I am a bitcoin investor since 2014. I was working for campaign by the beginning of 2015 when bitcoin prices was trading around $220 and I am still holding those bitcoin payments. I am still into profits which are more than 10x reward for my faith on bitcoins. I believe this is the advantage of being a long-term holder and I am in real life realizing that benefit.

Do you think this is an opportunity itself
When bitcoin was trading positive I was never thinking about buying more bitcoins nor never going for analyzing with the idea of buying few reputed altcoins. But I am doing those right now because this downfall must be a very big opportunity to have quicker returns for our capitals.
385  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quit cryptocurrency trading its not for you! on: December 29, 2018, 06:59:47 AM
Quit trading if you simply do not like it. If you have a desire to deal with the cryptocurrencies, you should not have a lot of experience - just learn more, and you will soon understand what you really need.
It is always the best option to stop which is not profitable for us. Instead of facing continuous losses with something, it must be right idea to stop that right away. I'm not just talking about trading but in general. Yes, everywhere it will be applicable then why not for trading.

At the same time, I like to suggest to get back into trading after learning all the skill which are essential for profitable trading. Yes, quitting should be for temporarily.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do for shit coins in our wallet? on: December 28, 2018, 04:43:45 PM
There were couple of projects that were aiming at eliminating these type of scam or at least useless coins out of the market with some new idea but I don't know what happened to them. There was coinjanitor for example which would make your useless coins at least worth something in return but I think they became useless themselves or at least they are not promoting their system too much since I haven't heard from them in over a long time.

I know it would be silly to think our worthless useless coins to worth something and sell them somehow but it would be so amazing if there was a website that would allow us to store all of our scam coins there, instead of an exchange like deal, it would be a wallet for all useless coins. They would hold possession of them but it would be under our names.

I don't know what and how they would profit but that way we won't have to worry about our worthless coin separated all around exchanges and we could just put all of them in one worthless coin wallet website. Would make things so much easier.
387  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Story of crypto market on: December 27, 2018, 03:47:08 PM
I have experienced a large loss in trading because of an error from what I predicted. When I think everything will go up, the market moves in the opposite direction and as a result I lose almost 65% of the value of my assets. From this experience I tried to be more careful in making decisions and making them a valuable lesson.
The million dollar question right now in front of you must be, where you have invested. If you would have invested with bitcoin or any other reputed altcoins, there will be 101% chances to recover your capital. But, if you have contributed into ICOs and have bought some shitcoins, I'm sorry no one could help you as your chances for recovery will be less than 10%. It is always being careful will solve a lot of hassles later on.

Have you ever lost a lot of money? Please share with me your story about this market. I want to learn from you.
I guess most all the people in trading must have experienced the losses in various occasions. You must understand that losses in trading is a daily event but how you manage your losses on how quickly you will be recovering your losses matters. Learning lessons from others' experience must be a good idea, I appreciate it.
388  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: minimise possible losses in trading on: December 27, 2018, 03:09:19 PM
I would say another way of minimizing is to divide your income into multiple time periods. I have been following this rule for a while now (about since summer or so but haven't done it properly) and it has been working great. If I wanted to invest all my money at once than I would have bought bitcoins at around 7.200 dollars and that would mean I would have been down about half of my investment.

However, instead of putting all my money in at the same time I have divided that into multiple time periods like weekly or monthly (depends on when I have money) and now my averages are about 4.800 dollars, not great still quite horrible but thanks to me buying at even 3200 levels the price averages went down well and that helped me out a lot. It is really a great way of never being at risk for a sudden drop since you always have cash to keep buying.
389  Economy / Economics / Re: Starbucks drops hint at plans to accept Bitcoin on: December 26, 2018, 10:08:41 AM
These news no longer make any sense to me, you know why? Because majority of them are fake. I have been seeing dumb news like this everyday like Facebook creating their own cryptocurrency and all sort of stupid news that are not making any sense, including Amazon accepting cryptocurrency, but at the end they never happen. So this is not going to work, even if it works, it makes no sense to me.

I hope other companies will also follow if Starbucks finally accepted bitcoin as one of theirmethod of payment.
Yes, that will be the interrelated event which will be to triggering more merchants to start adopting bitcoin as their one of payment option. In the past, when Microsoft added bitcoin as one of payment option (and then removed), it got a lot of media attention and promoted bitcoin to rest of the world more effectively. I'm looking for another similar news at any time soon, if it is from Starbucks then that will be really great.
390  Economy / Economics / Re: welcome bulls , Bye bears on: December 26, 2018, 09:38:23 AM
This year I didn't get that much profits only thing I did was holding my investments , I hope all my patience will pay off next year and there will be bull market and I make more profits  Grin

many investors are in same hope only ?? I would like to know what you guys think about next year,
I don’t really know for sure if this is right. This happens sometimes, it goes up like it is going to be a Bull run and the next thing you know it is already dropping back to the bottom. But whatever, the current price is already starting to look like it’s the bottom price, even if it goes a thousand price below that doesn’t really matter cause there is still going to be rise in the price, if not now it will be next year.

My friend already lost more than 50% ~ 60% so I’m indeed lucky. Don’t really know how next year is going to be, but ETF might be appropriate then and when they do the market might rise again.
Yes, this entire community is looking for bitcoin ETF to be approved. Because, that could be the only savior for this space. We are deliberately needing some positive news so that the trend will change. Hopefully, we will be getting ETF approved in 2019 so that we can say goodbye to bears by welcoming the bulls.
391  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the Market Stabilizing? on: December 26, 2018, 09:01:56 AM
Cryptocurrency market is always volatile, there is nothing like stabilizing. I don’t really know why you guys keep asking if price has stabilized, how do you expect something you were told is volatile to become stable all of a sudden, it doesn’t work like that. It can reach a price and act like it’s stable, but within few minutes or hours, check back and you will see that the price has moved to another price.

Unfortunately, but what is happening now, that is not the real situation on the market, because a large part of traders and financial institutions already have a Christmas break. I think that in a few days we may have a surprise that will again shake the entire cryptocurrency market.
Don’t tag this to a Christmas break, even when you’re on a holiday you can still trade online stocks and assets (including cryptocurrency) this has nothing to do with Christmas break cause the price has been this way since the beginning of this year, even the price has increased from $3000 to $4000 ($4200+ this morning) so nothing to do with Christmas at all.
392  Economy / Economics / Re: Who are benefited with cryptocurrency? on: December 26, 2018, 08:29:53 AM
From the bearish market it seema that there are individuals who were benefited with cryptocurrency and taken it as an early christmas gift for them. Probably those who control the market are mostly likely to be the direct benefactors of bear market. What do you think and who do you think control the market of cryprocurrency?
It doesn’t benefit just a particular set of people, it benefits anyone, as long as you know what you’re doing and you’re also making use of the right strategy. It doesn’t have to do with being rich or poor, no matter the condition, it always favors every set of people. There are rich people who makes lots of profits, same as there are poor people who make profits too… same thing applies to losing, both rich and poor loses.

We keep earning many benefits from using and adopting cryptocurrencies. Most of the users are now see the bitcoin as a utility than speculative.
But this is the time for making use of bitcoin for speculative rather than using it for our daily needs. Because, bitcoin will have huge value in near future hence just holding it for the future will be definitely more profitable than any other investment opportunity.

Actually, I am now using bitcoin for my daily transaction because the transaction can become faster and better.
For What kind of transactions, you are using bitcoins  ? To send money abroad ? I like to suggest you to hold your bitcoins without spending as that will be making you a millionaire at any time soon. Just go for researches then you will understand my words.

394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: December 12, 2018, 03:33:36 PM
Inter basically gave away their chance to continue, they were playing PSV and PSV is basically gone right now, this game didn't worth anything to PSV and everything to Inter.

Spurs managed to get a draw and stay, Inter should have won that game and move to next stage. Think about it champions league happens only once a year and you are in the group stage with just one win away from going to next stage and playing the worst team in your group, its really shameful of them to not get a W in this one.

Liverpool on the other hand managed to grab a win from Napoli, I thought they needed to be 2-0, apparently 1-0 is enough as well, they are moving to the next stage with last year in mind, considering what they did last year they should have been going to next stage a lot easier than this but nevertheless they are there.
395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: December 11, 2018, 03:39:15 PM
Christmas is coming around which means we have already seen what we need to see from teams and how they are so far, the first couple games even up to 10 games could be flukes but after this point of the season I do not think anything will change unless there is an important trade. For example Chandler was a big major sign for Lakers that changed so much for them, without a backup Center they sucked so bad but they are much better now, unless something like that happens we saw what we need to see from teams.

From what I gather it will be another horribly boring season for the west conference and finals since Warriors are still clearly best team by a LARGE margin, I was hoping they will have some championship tiredness and will start to not care but the sheer talent of them keeps them away from everyone else. Maaaaybe eastern conference will have some fun match-ups but even that is doubtful so far.
396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: December 06, 2018, 04:00:45 PM
Doncic has been playing like a true superstar from the beginning of his career. Dude literally plays like the best player in Dallas and he is just 19 years old on his rookie season. He never shakes when its an important point and doesn't shy away from big plays neither. I really believe this guy can become one of the best European players we had in our game and that says something huge considering we had so many amazing European people (even his team mate is all time great Dirk).

I think if he improves upon this play and puts more on top of it, he has a chance to be top 3 player in the league in 5 years or so time and stay around those levels for 10 years straight. Lets hope he doesn't get injured badly or start to not care about his training or something because it would be shame for that talent to go to waste.
397  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bull Run next monday 26/11/2018 on: December 02, 2018, 04:33:07 PM
As would luck have it, it didn't come. This is why people are afraid of listening anyone and everyone overreacts to market. Because people like these are giving out false hope to other people and when they are moving before the market moves by just reading these they get burned because of it, hence those people stop listening to other people and start reading the market and as soon as market moves to one direction they start to move with it instead.

There is no "trend" in bitcoin because there is no volume in it right now but whenever there is volume people only move one direction depending on the market movements. We can't really know what will happen to bitcoin and the price, not me not you not the op of this post. But that shouldn't make us dependent on the market, we can just go for long term investment of couple years and it will be fine.
398  Economy / Speculation / Re: What to expect from Bitcoin after the last BTC gets mined? on: December 01, 2018, 04:04:31 PM
Theoretically speaking the last bitcoin will not be mined forever, it will be taking a lot longer compared to your life expectancy. Hence, you should not worry about it.

However if you are worrying about the transactions and the miners and what will happen to network when the reward gets smaller, the possibility we have right now is the transaction fee's are getting more frequent instead of more expensive. Hence miners are making more money thanks to more volume in each block and they are getting a lot of reward for it.

They may need to increase the price of bitcoin in order to make it better but honestly we already have a lot of bitcoin miners and transactions are getting a lot faster with lightning network thing coming up. Hence everyone will live happily ever after without a worry.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: November 29, 2018, 03:00:28 PM
Toronto seems like the only contender right now if you ask me. They have been playing amazingly and they have people with playoff experience as well, they are lacking some veteran presence from the bench as far as I can remember but aside from that they look like they will be in the finals for sure. Boston Celtics have a great team and they are literally the prototype for 2020+ NBA basketball and with enough experience under their belt that team will be dominating east for years unless some unexpected thing happens however they lack a lot of confidence for now and look like they are not as good as they were last year.

Sixers look like the only other option and I assume they will be east conference finalists this year unless they face toronto early and I think they have a shot at the finals too but they lack experience so they may get beaten because of that. Toronto is the only team with a magnificent superstar who has seen finals (and even won FMVP) and really saw what playoffs is like and can bring it on when needed.
400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: November 24, 2018, 02:33:48 PM
San Antonio Spurs are really not doing as well as people imagined. Lamarcus Aldridge played well but that doesn't really have to happen if they want to break a losing streak. The team really miss their players that are out with injuries, mainly Pau Gasol and Dejounte Murray.

With Gasol on the court Lamarcus could switch back to Power Forward and usually has height advantage which helps him with the midrange turn out shots. Also Dejounte playing gives the team a great perimiter defense help so they could get better and defending shooters. After all this is the spurs they should be beasting somehow anyway but they have been lacking a lot and really do not look like a playoff team for the first time in 3 decades. I think they really should reconsider Poeltl because that would help them out a lot in center position and help out lamarcus as well.
