381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alter Ego In Gambling on: January 06, 2024, 03:48:15 PM
I just discovered a friend's personality, who in real life is very thrift and very conservative but once he played online in casinos he became very reckless and loved to play the risks because for him when it comes to gambling if you cannot take a risk you don't have a chance to win big, that's a big contrast from his real personality for him he has alter ego when it comes to gambling, so his outlook and decision is very much different when playing.

How about you Are you gambling in a way that is very different from your true personality,

I believe most of us here usually become more reckless when we first enter to gambling because this is the first time we exposed on this kind of risk. It’s just peculiar for a conservative person to become interested on gambling since things that have high risk involved usually a big turn off for a person that you described.

I’m not familiar with alter ego but it looks like a psychological disorder since it’s behavior which people usually hide. I’m not conservative in real life but I’m not a risk taker either but I become a medium risk taker when I’m exposed to gambling since that’s what gambling games real effects to player.
382  Economy / Gambling / Re: Does anyone find the spate of online casinos a bit uninspired? on: January 06, 2024, 03:23:21 PM
.
In comparison between age group, gender, and online gambling, there are more oldies (age 50 -90) who gamble offline since it is what they are already used to and considering that most of them not be able to use new digital technologies . The gen-zs and millennials in the hand are those who grew up in the era of digital technology. Therefore online gambling - casinos and sport book were invented and adapted during their time. These are the population of the public that use more than one online casinos.

Your statement is correct but I just want to add more info about this topic since I have experience on playing IRL casino. It’s not about the age on why people play in offline casino but rather depending on the location of people on the physical casino.

I still saw a lot of Genz and young player that still gambling in physical casino aside from oldies regular. Offline casino is still have a charm to all age because of the special gambling experience on playing actual games. I also knew some old guy that playing using online casino but with guidance at first on how to use the app.
383  Economy / Speculation / Re: A big buying opportunity might be on the horizon on: January 06, 2024, 02:09:30 PM
I may be wrong but people are tired of ETF approval, they are now looking forward to the impact of halving the market trend. And can't hide the fact that more people are investing in crypto these days because of the upcoming halving anticipating the possible skyrocket of prices when it is done.

I foresee that 2024 -2025 is a good year for cryptocurrency. Can't assure you how far the price of Bitcoin will reach but huge expectations are there.

Bitcoin price still has a strong price swing whenever there’s news related to ETF approval. The price keeps recovering quickly whenever it dumps near the 40K support that only show how people keep holding on and keep positive in relation to the ETF approval because normally the price should be dump now if people is already lose hope to ETF approval since halving is still far from now to occur.

Trader usually use the most upcoming event instead of the later for trading and just trade using the later event once near.
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone here who retired with Gambling winnings ? on: January 06, 2024, 01:56:28 PM
Anyone here who retired with Gambling winnings ?

Do you think someone that already retired through gambling winning will really be satisfied to their win? I think only few people manage to experience this retirement through gambling but I’m pertaining to lottery winner and not the typical casino bettor. It’s very hard to get enough amount for retirement on casino due to casino limits and house edge advantage of the casino.

If not, how much you think is sufficient to retire as Gambling winning ?

This is a case to case basis depending on someone satisfaction to be considered as retirement money.
385  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Many traders will lose soon a lot the ftx 2.0 is ready on: January 05, 2024, 05:23:04 PM
There is another ftx 2.0 sbm
So many investors will lose a lot money from USA and Canada becouse they will trust those who they should't.
I dont tell you the name but its not BINANCE binance is safe.
Im still surprised how the robbery will be happening in the middle of the day like it was with FTX.

then what exchangers can be trusted. if binance, whose transaction volume is the largest in the world, is said to be unsafe. provide along with the reasons why binance is said to be less safe or unsafe, and what are also the reasons why the exchanger that you are

If you read carefully what you just quoted, You will realize that specifically mention that Binance is safe exchange according to him and not the one he is pertaining to this warning thread.

Probably this exchange is not international since Canada and US already restricted foreign crypto exchange like Kucoin, Binance and many more popular crypto exchange. This thread was made last November and there’s no big news like this coming. It’s very odd too the timing of this bad new if really happened because Bitcoin is pumping hard which means exchange business is booming.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bet on favorites early in the week & underdogs late in the week strategy... on: January 05, 2024, 04:44:44 PM
So I'm just curious if the sports betters in here take this "rule of thumb" strategy seriously and tend to follow it.  Or if there's any experience that says this may not be all that great of a strategy.  Thoughts?

This depends on the sports you are betting and the match scheduled for that specific date. Because the date in general doesn’t affect the match result regardless if it’s favorite or underdog. This is not a rule of thumb in general because the schedule of matches on weekdays and weekends varies.

Probably the podcast you are listening is pertaining to a specific league that already have matches scheduled available for the whole league. He probably already analyzed all the upcoming matches and notice that most of the game on weekdays and weekends has a specific pattern already.
387  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin tumuntong na sa $41k+! on: January 05, 2024, 04:21:46 PM
I think na tuloy tuloy pa sa pag taas itong magiging price ng BTC. Since malapit na nga din ang fork, it is really recommended na to HODL muna ang BTCs natin to take advantage of this price boost in a few months coming from now.

As someone na nandito sa forum since 2017, biggest regret ko talaga is cashing out my BTCs agad agad without fully taking advantage of the time. Kaya this time, natuto na ako and naka focus na ako for long-term advantage and investment.

Same, At ginawa ko nanaman ito ulit now dahil sa 39k ako nag cashout.  Cheesy
388  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BETCOIN.AG are absolute scammers! on: January 05, 2024, 03:31:28 PM
It wasn't a silly mistake. The email address the player claims to have forgotten has been in use by him for over 2.5 years on internet sites and forums. We do (of course) have proof of this. If the player shares the email address, anyone else could google the address and see proof, as well.

The fact that immediately came and lied about this here should clearly show that he has negative intent. This is the abuse. Players ditch their winning accounts and create new ones to stay under the radar. We have no further comment on this matter. He broke the rules and lied about it. By definition, he is the scammer.

Please clarify if he abused one of your bonuses or do some malicious bets for you to seize his deposit. Even if he committed multiple account while he just playing fair bet then I don’t see the point of putting his balance on debt just because he won using a fair bet. Creating new account doesn’t increase your winning probability assuming that he is not abusing any bonus on your casino.

You should clarify your previous statement because it just show that you confiscated the account balance just because of multiple account without any kind of cheating involved. I will understand this decision if he is abusing bonuses to win but not when the account only violation is just a multiple account.
389  Economy / Gambling / Re: UNREAL!! Sportsbet.io pays out a $42,000,000 USDT Casino WIN!! on: January 05, 2024, 03:22:12 PM
Oh my God, that player is set for his years to come. Thats crazy win I have ever seen until now and couldn't imagine the happiness of that player. This is just crazy man, how they reached to that level, what they might have been thinking while playing it, did they expect to hit that jackpot? So many things on my mind imagining the scenario while they were playing.

This guy is betting 50$ per spin on a slot game which describes how high roller this person is because even streamer with 1M bankroll still can’t afford to have a 50$ per spin. The winner is probably a big time even without winning this massive jackpot.

I’m pretty sure that he will bet for more again instead of cash out for good. Maybe he will cash out part of the profit but he will surely retain part of his profit to still play. Anyway this is the highest Jackpot I saw in the forum even on social media. This kind of win should make casino run if this happened on a shady casino. Good thing that the winner choose a legit and reliable casino such as sportsbet when he hit this jackpot!
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 01, 2024, 04:34:21 PM
There are some professional Sport gamblers that can give other people good advice, but the question will be.. why they would do that? Yes, some people need more money to gamble more and they can sell their skills and experience.. but they do that for the money.

This is same principle for those successful people either from business, trading and others that become an author of their book to share experiences and at the same time gain some money on it.

Professional that turns to advisor is not new anymore since this the last path of their career and at the same time still earns by doing their passion. Nothing beats a guaranteed profit from subscriptions while still doing what they are regularly doing which is gambling. This is a perfect reason to share their skills.
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online or offline gambling which is more safer? on: January 01, 2024, 03:46:32 PM
While those people playing offline in casino halls play with only the little money they have at hand, and that will reduce the risk of over spending. So now my question is this

Do you even know the potential risk of playing offline is much higher than online? Debit card and credit card can be use to buy chip on offline casino too. Besides people can pawn their physical belongings such as house and lot, vehicle, jewelry and other properties immediately just to get money for gambling which is worst than wasting all your credit card limit or debit card balance.

The reason why pawn shops is popular in Las Vegas is because people keep pawning their valuable items just to gamble. This show how risky offline gambling over online gambling if we will just consider the potential loss people can do.
392  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: January 01, 2024, 03:41:05 PM

I am just raising questions,
provably fair system is not working for the game
Vip host says its complicated and doesn't offer any help or solution
Provably fair article where they mention workings and verification process of all games has wrong info about twist workings of crash game are mentioned
Even the description of twist game show wrong description of crash

Normally a 6 streak loosing with a new seed wont raise suspicion but combine that with the above 4 points

AFAIK need seed won’t affect the chance rate of the outcome because the result is pure random. You can lose more than that even if you keep changing seed if you are unlucky.

Your post is a form of question that main intention is draw a scam conclusion to the casino. Can you provide screenshot of VIP host message saying that it’s complicated? Do you mean that they can’t provide transparent result of your game?
393  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: January 01, 2024, 02:49:50 PM
Been a long time player on bc
lost a lot and won a lot.

This is what raised the alarm bells for me, is the game really provably fair or I got scammed of 89,000$?

I have documented and captured screenshots for all I have said, someone from BC please help here, if the game is really provably fair please share documentation and prove the results of my bets!

It’s very hard to conclude that their game is scam with just 6 lose streak in a game and use the error on Probably Fair verification as excuse to your lose. I believe you are using other games on BC because you mention above that you win and lose a lot in the past for a long time while other games on BC definitely doesn’t have probably fair feature just like slots which you are not complaining before.

I understand your sentiment about can’t verify the probably fair of the game but it can’t be use as evidence to conclude a game as scam especially that you lose using small sample. You just lose huge amount on this 6 bets that’s you are questioning the integrity of the game. But I agree that BC should provide the transparent result of your game.
394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inflation and crypto gambling on: January 01, 2024, 02:38:28 PM
On the one hand, gambling providers have higher costs due to inflation forcing them to pay more for certain goods and services they need.
On the other hand, with inflation causing more money to flow around, if would probably mean that more money than before ends up towards gambling companies.

Though my years I have on very rare occasions seen gambling companies take steps to act according to inflation because usually for them it's probably balanced out on its own.

In IRL casino this is true because they have physical expenses that can be intensified by inflation like electricity and property taxes. Good thing was online casino is already starting to boom now which removes other expenses that affected by inflation. Online casino just paid for their staff and website as expenses which can be easily covered by their profits due to their increasing popularity.

Inflation will not gonna matter anymore for online casino operators since people will usually resort more to gambling if they feel the need to earn more aside from their job income due to inflation effect.
395  Local / Pilipinas / Re: diskusyon tungkol sa Bitcoin ETF on: December 31, 2023, 06:29:50 PM

396  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the perception of people about gamblers in your neighborhood? on: December 31, 2023, 06:11:59 PM
Gamblers were seen as irresponsible people in my town few years ago. Parents usually warn their children never to indulge in gambling or associate with people who gamble. However, a lot has changed recently as gambling has become one of the biggest business here. As a result of that, societal perception has also improved as many testimonies of life-changing wins from gambling has emerged.

I don't know if this is only happening in my area or is a general trend, hence the reason I created this post. Let's know what people think about gamblers and how well the gambling business is faring in your area.

It’s still based on the culture of the country to change perceptions about gambling like in my country which gambling will always associated as bad image for common people that doesn’t involve in any gambling activities.

Probably your area is already saturated by people that is already open minded to gambling that makes them converted to gambling believer due to the word on the mouth in the street. This is not applicable to all country but I will not be surprised if more country will be open to gambling (except Asian) because of the rise of online casino popularity.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICP pumping - is it time to take profit or too early? on: December 31, 2023, 05:38:13 PM
Use Finonacci level to determine what price is hood for taking profit because most trader use this tool to determine the sweet spot on taking profit. X4 is already a good profit imho and you shouldn’t compared the previous ATH to current price condition because of the difference on supply and demand.

At least take some profit and just save some of your holdings that you can hold long term so that you can guarantee profit in case the price suddenly dump because I’m sure people like you that purchase on lower price is already getting ready to take profit. They are just waiting for the sell off signal before they will unload their holdings.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you choose, arrange and create your portfolio of altcoins on: December 31, 2023, 05:17:21 PM
Hello guys
I am starting to go into trading and holding altcoins for myself, I got to understand that there are over millions of altcoins to choose to invest in, so I decided to come up with a strategy that would help me choose the best coins to hold as the bull run is around the corner. I went to coingecko and decided to choose coins from different categories, what do I mean, coins fall under certain categories like the layer 1, layer 2, Memes, infrastructure, Blockchain ecosystem, smart contracts platform, web3, and the rest.

What did I do, I choose the first 5 coins under these categories and decided to buy and hodl them with 50 USDT each. Am I on the right track or is there any other way I can do more better.

Actually this is a good plan except buying any meme coin because all of them is worthless. You do the right diversification of your assets but the only problem was your capital is too small to be diversified on each assets that you choose.

You should at least focus on 1 to 2 project until you grow your assets and just diversify it when your capital is already increasing. Your strategy is for high margin because it’s a way to lessen the chance of investing on a sinking asset.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto gambling and religious restrictions on: December 31, 2023, 05:13:38 PM

So what do you think about this? Does gambling with crypto mean that laws about gambling being Haram don't apply all the time?
I was thinking that of crypto is earned outside of one's regular job, for example as a reward for activities such as bounties or sweepstakes, then maybe gambling with these earnings insta Haram?

Gambling is still gambling no matter what currency you are using. Gambling is not about the currency but the act of wanting to earn in quicker way by risking your own money for a chance to gain profit because this shows greediness which is the one that is forbidden with their religion.

The only time your example will be possible if the player use a currency that doesn’t have real value because this will turn into regular game instead of gambling because there’s no real money involved.
400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale betting system on: December 30, 2023, 05:09:59 PM
Doesn't matter what "betting system" or strategy you use. The casino always has an edge, so in the long run, you will end up being defeated by the house. Same goes for martingale strategy. In paper, it might sound like it is a fool proof strategy, but it isn't. There are still risks. The higher your losing streak is, the more you will be risking. You won't even notice how you get wiped out within few seconds. You can say martingale strategy is risk free only if you have an infinite balance, but if you have infinite money, why would you want to be gambling using strategies? You could just throw money away. Strategies will help you control your losses, but it won't help you beat the casino.

This is right. The more you play the game means you have high risk on losing especially when it comes to martingale strategy. The number of loss streak increases as the number of total increase too.

The only additional input I can add here is you can successfully beat a casino too using martingale strategy without using infinite bankroll is by having a bankroll higher than the casino itself. This is the reason why casino place max bet or max win so that people potential winning has cap and force to play longer using small bet because they knew that they will have an advantage for long term games due to house edge and bankroll difference.
