381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anticipation from the future ? on: April 21, 2018, 02:58:14 AM
If the state prohibits the existence of this bitcoin it will narrow the bitcoin space. Bitcoin can not develop well in that country. And bitcoin is very good and profitable for those who know it.
I would rather bitcoin is set by a country. All consumers will be more secure, because there are parties that protect consumers.
If bitcoins are free throughout the country, what I fear is the game for rich people and bitcoin abusers in negative or criminal matters.

As of now there are 11 countries that banned bitcoin. But this is only a small number of countries since many countries have started to appear and is studying on how to accept bitcoin. Though there are regulations that are already being set by the government such as the KYC, AML and the taxation but this actions will not stop bitcoin but will restore the trust of the public to bitcoin. Soon a huge number of masses will be marching and join bitcoin.
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Summary of the top news of this week in Crypto on: April 21, 2018, 02:51:35 AM
This is what I have been telling in my posts as good news that is coming to bitcoin aside from the big merchants and business that are coming in. This are the factors that will pull up the price of bitcoin. We can already see the price of bitcoin going up this days and it already reached 8800$ and by tomorrow it will be above 9k$. The bearish group are now silent as the bullish group started to appear again.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The UK launches Bitcoin Futures. on: April 21, 2018, 02:48:00 AM
Great news as the U.K launches her Futures. The last time US did same, the price of bitcoin increased fairly.
In like manner, this move by the UK can reverse the downward movement of bitcoin prices.

The United Kingdom does not want to be left behind with this kind of innovation. They also seen the beauty of bitcoin and thus they also launched bitcoin futures. This is a good move and could help bitcoin to prosper and eventually it could help bitcoins value to increase more further. Hope with this activities the world will accept bitcoin and the masses will also come in.
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serious accusation on Roger Ver about co-opting a blockchain event in Tokyo on: April 21, 2018, 02:44:33 AM
The bitcoin community is angered by the moves of Roger Ver but we cannot stop him from promoting his bitcoin cash. Bitcoin cash could also  go up since its features is much better than bitcoin and in the long run it could gain more users. But even though this kind of fact is existing it still cannot overcome bitcoin and bitcoin will still be there and will be much stronger than ever.
385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Solutions to get rid of cartels on: April 21, 2018, 02:38:12 AM
I'm kind of new to crypto, but i have a question.

I know that mining cartels are a huge problem, so much so that regular people can't mine anymore.

I was wondering why can't they introduce some kind of limit of how much work one node can do per hour? Wouldn't that massively aid the problem?

I'm no programmer, so I'd really appreciate hearing thoughts about what solutions people are coming up with to solve this problem. Is it unsolvable??

The reason why this problem arises is because of the program or code that is being used by bitcoin. To solve this kind of problem we have to modify or to make changes on the code on which is very troublesome since we need to have a consensus and we will be calling all bitcoin miners and holders including exchanges and others to approve such proposal. But during the consensus conflicting  ideas occurred and cause a split among the community.
386  Other / Off-topic / Bitcoin Forum to create social media sites to replace facebook and twitter on: April 21, 2018, 01:51:23 AM
Hello guys I know you have heard about the recent banning of cryptocurrency by facebook and twitter. And is somewhile I am thinking if we could just have a social media of our own which is dedicated to the growth and development of cryptocurrency. With this I am asking the creator of this forum if they will accept this idea that they will create an extension of this forum that looks like facebook and twitter so that we no longer need to use facebook and twitter anymore. This is a call for revolution against those social media sites who are abusing their power and authority.

So what do you think guys is my opinion good or just a plain nonsense.
387  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Twitter indefinitely suspends FreeBitcoins.com handle. on: April 21, 2018, 01:46:57 AM
If twitter does not allow us to do some cryptocurrency business then let us leave Twitter. We will not lose something if we left twitter there are still some social media sites out there that will not ban cryptocurrency related post. There are thousands of people who just joined twitter because of cryptocurrency and if they ban all of them then it is twitter biggest loss.
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Blockchain Tech to Combat Fake News on: April 21, 2018, 01:42:21 AM
I read that the founder of Wikipedia is trying to figure out how to combat fake news with blockchain from Bitcoin.  Anyone with tech knowledge know how this could work?

That idea is very complex. Even IT does not have and idea on how they will do it. Fake news that are spreading is outside of the blockchain sphere since article and news networks including social media is not covered by such technology. Possibly they are going to create a blockchain based news website about cryptocurrency and all news that will be published will be monitored and could be verified before it could be published.
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 11 The country still considers Bitcoin an illegal currency on: April 21, 2018, 01:38:48 AM
They may be banning bitcoin today but if they will realize that the economy of those country who used cryptocurrency and bitcoin improves then they will shift on the last hour. And we are so lucky that we have bitcoins in our wallet since if they will start to adopt bitcoin then we could be millionaires at that time.
390  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Europe Wants To Know Who You Are? on: April 21, 2018, 01:27:24 AM
This is very normal. When government consider bitcoin as a stock or commodity it will require everyone who invested on a KYC and AML requirements. This is not a bad news since it was even required to the stock exchange and on banking institutions. This action of requiring bitcoin such requirements is a sign that bitcoin is already recognized by the state as legal and can be used within its territory.
391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decentral Airdrop token promotions destroying bitcoins attention. on: April 20, 2018, 02:11:13 PM
Actually  your interpretation of the impact of airdrops to bitcoin seemed out of line. The reason I am saying this is because of the statistics. Due to the rise of those airdrops many people are coming into cryptocurrencies with the hope of earning from free coins they gain from airdrops. Those who have joined the airdrops will also have a knowledge on bitcoin since when they sold their tokens to Ethereum they will sell it in exchange to bitcoin. Thus, airdrops is one of the agent to increase the number of bitcoin users and make the bitcoin community more lively.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Excited to see the people who trust bitcoin when price reaches All Time High on: April 20, 2018, 02:06:54 PM
If we are going to see the price of bitcoin reaching all time high and is breaking its previous recorded value which is 20k$ then the community will rejoice. After holding for a long period of time, those time of waiting will not go to waste and has bear fruit. If bitcoin will really hit another all time high, more people will again come back to bitcoin with a smile on their faces and profits on their pocket.
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Barclays considering Bitcoin trading desk. on: April 20, 2018, 02:03:46 PM
Quote
Barclays Plc, a British multinational investment bank and financial services company headquartered in London, has a fairly long history of putting down Bitcoin. Now, the financial institution looks to be changing its tune as it begins gauging its clients’ interest in a potential cryptocurrency trading desk.

http://bitcoinist.com/barclays-considering-bitcoin-trading-desk/

It looks like another institutional investors trying to join the crypto picture as well. Do you think it will bring some positive effect the ecosystem?

We all have seen CBoE and CME affecting the market in a negative way, so I supposed that this is not as welcoming as others might think.

Your thoughts?

As long as they are not against bitcoin then it is a good move to be accepted by the masses. Barclay is one of the leading investment bank which headquarters is located in London, and if they will join on the bitcoin and cryptocurrency race by putting up a cryptocurrency trading desk then it can help boost the bitcoin market. If this happens more people will also be convinced that bitcoin and cryptocurrency has a real value and is deemed to have good future.
394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bcash fanboys learned the value of BTC in these hard times. on: April 20, 2018, 01:56:54 PM
That is really a striking comment and I totally agree with it. The bitcoin cash loyalist are having ironical statements which is against bitcoin in order to push their popularity and value. But the problem is that bitcoin cash is still dependent on bitcoin and the moment bitcoin crashed bitcoin cash will also crash. Thus if they really wanted bitcoin cash to grow they have to promote it while also promoting bitcoin.
395  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your rules for profit taking on: April 20, 2018, 01:46:02 PM
When do you withdraw funds? Do you sell into fiat or USDT? Im thinking something like this: After a 50% increase sell 20% into USDT, repeat. Reinvest in dips. When 100% increased sell 20% into fiat

My strategy is simple and my method is the common method in trading and that is the long term trading. I will hold my bitcoins until it become triple or quadruple in value. When I bought bitcoin and earned bitcoin I usually dividing those bitcoins before doing anything. Some I will be placing on savings and others for trading and others for withdrawal. As time goes by  and as bitcoins value goes up and goes up my profit is increasing and increasing. I do just hope that I can construct a new house using those saved bitcoins.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the following problems be solved? on: April 20, 2018, 01:41:29 PM
Can the following problems be solved?

- Bitcoin is not based on "underlying" for the transaction, the risk is high.
- Bitcoin is very close to the possibility of money laundering and terrorism financing.
- Bitcoin has no "best practice" and international standards to ensure the security and efficiency of the organization.
- Bitcoin has no central entity as the subject of arrangement, no party is responsible.
- Bitcoin price is determined by the market depending on supply and demand
- In Bitcoin there is no consumer protection.

You have listed several problems that you think bitcoin has. I will focus on answering the second from the top problem as it has a big impact to me. The problem on bitcoins that it could be possibly be used in financing terrorism and money laundering has already been solved by the governments. The countries who accepted cryptocurrency have placed a strict regulation on bitcoin to track down money launderers and financing to terrorism. Using bitcoin in money laundering and on terrorism is no longer a good choice since using the blockchain technology combined with the KYC and AML regulations the sender can easily be tracked and identified even after long years.
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gglobal chipmaking giant blames a slump in bitcoin mining for lowered outlook on: April 20, 2018, 01:36:51 PM
What those bitcoin mining chip makers are true and we cannot deny it. Bitcoin mining has become less profitable not because of the crash in bitcoins value but because of the tremendous increase on the difficulty on mining bitcoin. This means that the competition in bitcoin has greatly increased and this endangers solo miners and small miner. Soon only huge mining farms will continue to exist and will have the monopoly on mining bitcoin.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you fight for satoshi? on: April 20, 2018, 01:30:23 PM
Even though I would like to support Satoshi but we cannot go against the government. I am working in the government and I dont want to risk my job and sacrifice the future of my family. I am thankful for Satoshi so instead of going against the government I will just spread awareness in the social media and my circle of friends. That way I can help Satoshi without putting my job in jeopardy.
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Cambridge targeting crypto users now? on: April 20, 2018, 01:25:31 PM
Cambridge Analytica is not a simple company, it has a solid background some of it are excellent. Its CEO Alexander Nix was involved in 44 US political races including Trumps political campaign. But the only problem is the famous Cambridge scandal, since they are accused of targeting voters by publishing dirty publications against the enemy party candidate. That is why they are banned from facebook and the Information Commissioner of UK have issued a warrant against them.

This history of the company has caused people to have two different views about investing on their ICO. Some thought that since huge political parties are behind it the price must have a future and they will eventually gain huge profit. While others doesnt want to invest due to the scandal.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: State Bank of Pakistan illegal the Crypto . on: April 20, 2018, 01:14:17 PM
The issuance is made to warn and disallow all business establishments not to use and accept bitcoin since according to them it is not a certified legal tender. But this news is not so striking, even though bitcoin exchanges will not be allowed in Pakistan but it will not be a hindrance for the people of Pakistan to use bitcoin since they can just sell their bitcoins to dollars and convert the dollars to their fiat currency.
