81  Economy / Speculation / Re: Has Bitcoin started its uplift ?? on: May 21, 2018, 12:21:04 PM
As of now, the price of bitcoin has been increased by 1.62% today. Whereas ETH is falling down. Will btc price go up go forward?? I am afraid to make any investment as this moment. Whats your thought??

It all depends if you are a long term holder or a short term holder. If you are a long term holder like me who holds bitcoin for more than a year and enjoy a really good profit then it is good to buy bitcoin now and sell it next year. But if you are a short term holder then you need to wait for sudden fluctuations to set your buy and sell so you can earn a profit.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be used as a donation to the church on: May 21, 2018, 12:17:31 PM
I agree to used bitcoin as a donation for some reasons.

1. People who give great help to the church are becoming increasingly anonymous.

2. It is easier to monitor the entire proceeds and avoid suspicion of having a claim.

3. The transaction is faster and less expensive

This is just my opinion.

#Datarius

I actually agree to your idea since everytime I will earn I will give the 10% to the Church as a donation without me going into the place but by just a click of a button. I already suggest it to our parish priest but he is not convinced to do it since he does not concerned about this things. I guess it will really take some time before the Churches in our area to be familiar with bitcoin.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Extortion on thousands of men using U.S.P.S. & demanding payment in Bitcoin on: May 19, 2018, 11:51:25 AM
Just saw a story on the local news about thousands of men receiving a letter thru the USPS (which makes this a federal crime) claiming the sender has evidence of the victim’s cheating ways and unless the victims pays thousands of dollars IN BITCOIN, the sender will tell the victim’s wife. I guarantee the scammer has already made thousands on this scam and the USPS is just NOW inspecting. 😆😆😆 He’s a ghost.

Capitalism at its finest in America.

This syndicate is already existing even since bitcoin was born. Their target before was the rich and elite and they will frame up those people since they know that they will pay huge amount of money to hide the secret. With the existence of bitcoin this group of individuals also evolve and are already using cryptocurrency in their bad dealings.
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why many banks hate cryptocurrency ? on: May 19, 2018, 10:16:10 AM
I have seen many news about banks banning bitcoin from using. But I think bitcoin is a great technology and future assets, and its a great opportunity for banks also to use bitcoin as a contribution. My question is why does they ban it rather than use bitcoin ?

Bitcoin is made as a decentralized currency wherein it is design to make the unbanked people to have a bank.  But the bank that I am talking about is the bitcoin wallet itself. Bitcoin is a revolution against the unfair and unjust banking practices and the more people joining bitcoin the lesser the people who are going to banks. This is a sign that bitcoin is a threat to the banking system since bitcoin wants to replace the banks with bitcoin wallets.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain can help banks on: May 18, 2018, 02:11:04 PM
Another indication that banks can use blockchain as an ally, instead of seeing as a competition.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-hsbc-blockchain/hsbc-says-performs-first-trade-finance-transaction-using-blockchain-idUSKCN1IF01X

Well banks does not see blockchain technology as a competition but they see it with bitcoin. Blockchain technology will greatly improved the banking services if they will integrate it in their system. They can easily monitor the daily transactions of clients through the blockchain and the clients can also monitor it. But bitcoin on the other hand is a threat to the banks thus the banks are also evolving so they cannot be left behind.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can somebody steal your btc? on: May 18, 2018, 02:00:44 PM
Hi, have you ever thought this?

You know that, to import a wallet you need the private key or your seed. Taking as example the private key (the 52 letters key). It could exist the possibility someone create a software whose function was to try thousands of times to find the private key till it is be done. This would be like the process to find the new block in mining, anyway you can try the times you want in order to find it.

I think this could be a weakness, correct me if I am wrong. Smiley

Or comment if you have a kind of solution for this...

Regards!

There are nobody who can protect themselves from professional hackers if they decided to hunt you. Even big exchanges such as bitfinex encountered hacking a few years back and so how much to those single individuals. But as long as you have not a large amount of bitcoin then there is no worry  from professional hackers since they are only targeting those who have huge bitcoins. But still even though we are not the target of big hacking groups we can still be a victim to the simple hackers if you are not careful.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IF the GOVERNMENT wins over BITCOIN? on: May 18, 2018, 01:56:41 PM
if the government succeeds in controlling the bitcoin circulation and succeeds in bitcoin it seems like bitcoin will be a place to play the price game to make the people will fall poor again, I hope the government will not be able to master bitcoin.

The only thing that the government can control is the banning or accepting of bitcoin in a certain country. They may even limit the use of bitcoin  and sets strict regulations to it. But even so the government can only limit on the use of bitcoin but they cannot have any control with regards to the circulation of bitcoin and its value.
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please Support Decentralized Crypto Exchanges on: May 18, 2018, 01:50:27 PM
Well if the government asked you to pay taxes then you can inform the group that the government is asking you the tax and subdivide it to your group that way you will not be the only one to shoulder it. In our country our identity and records were also submitted to the government but as long as we do not earn too much btc the Anti Money Laundering Authority will not mind us and we will not be forced to apply for a business permit and pay income taxes coming from the profit we made in bitcoin.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi nakamato needs to come out ! on: May 18, 2018, 01:44:16 PM
I also believe that Satoshi Nakamoto really needs to come out so that bitcoin will be more strengthened and the community will uplift their spirit amidst the big crash. But there is one big problem with this suggestion and that is because of the following reasons:

1. Satoshi Nakamoto have shown himself but nobody believe - this possibility implies that maybe Nakamoto have already introduced himself but nobody believes him
2. No evidence to prove claims to be Nakamoto - If satoshi will come out we cannot identify him if he is the true Nakamoto or fake since we do not know his background and have no prior knowledge about who he is.

3.Others

There are still many reasons why it is impossible for Nakamoto to be with us and this is the main reasons why Nakamoto is no longer with us today.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is Bitcoin used to extort people? on: May 18, 2018, 01:30:12 PM
Bitcoin extortion is not only being done by ransomware hackers but it is also done by government authorities. There was even a case wherein a cop was charged of extorting 1.3 million dollars worth of bitcoin.  According to a coindesk article here is the story "The Crime Investigation Department (CID) in the Indian state of Gujurat has accused 10 police officers of kidnapping, attempted extortion and corruption after they allegedly abducted a businessman and forced him to hand over 200 bitcoins."

This is just sad that those who did it are the police who are enforcing the law. If you want to read more I will place the link of the article below.

91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Homeless use Bitcoin on: May 18, 2018, 01:24:18 PM
After some homeless man posted his qr code and people began sending him btc for fun that homeless man have collected huge amount of btc and he became viral. His success was also copied by other homeless individuals on the US but even in China beggars are accepting bitcoins. I think the homeless and the beggars would not do this kind of thing since it is an irony, they will ask for btc because they do not have money but they have the capacity to access the internet. Its foolish.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learning Cryptocurrency in Universities? on: May 18, 2018, 01:19:23 PM
In Swrizerland we have Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts who accept bitcoin payments. But on the other parts of the world though they are not accepting bitcoin as payment for tuition but they are teaching bitcoin classes. In Chicago there is a rage to learn about bitcoin by the students thus the schools have started to teach students about bitcoin.
93  Economy / Speculation / Re: Those who sold bitcoin are in for a big loss on: May 18, 2018, 01:09:21 PM
A new bitcoin mining facility in Montana is a good news and though we do not know if it affects the price of bitcoin but it will help the community in confirming transactions on the mempool to avoid delays. Also with regards to the topic there are two kinds of people who sold their bitcoin one are those who sold their bitcoins when it is at its peak at 20k$ and those who sold it during the dip. We can say that the other one gain huge profit while the other one have lose a big amount of dollars. So to say that people who sell bitcoin are at loss is conditional and it depends on the situation.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we really have financial privacy and anonymity? on: May 18, 2018, 01:01:21 PM
I was just thinking if we really have financial privacy with Bitcoin with all these different types of analysis tools?

https://www.walletexplorer.com/ identifies your wallet provider and https://www.chainalysis.com/ link them all together. I am not sure if these analysis tools are rendered void by the use of Mixer services, but it is still a problem for many people not using these Mixer services.

My main concern is IF we have given governments the perfect solution with Bitcoin to track all financial transactions. Something that is not currently possible with Fiat cash. I am not concerned about governments that are using this technology to track criminals or terrorists, but rather those governments that wants to use that information to get rid of their opposition. <People who donate money to sites like WikiLeaks>

These tools can be used for "Good" and "Bad" and we will never know if "Bad" people are using these tools to target "Good" people.  Huh

What is your opinion about this?

There is nothing wrong with bitcoin but there is something wrong with people. We do not have a total privacy when we use bitcoin and we only have a limited privacy since the government can access our information through the KYC and AML documents we submitted to the exchanges. I guess there will be a problem if the government leaders are abusing their authority but if not then we have nothing to worry about.
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Alibaba's Jack Ma Calls Bitcoin a Bubble (BTC) - Do you care? on: May 18, 2018, 12:52:20 PM
Well Jack Ma did really said that bitcoin is a bubble when he said that "blockchain is not a bubble, bitcoin is". This is his famous statement but he also mentioned that he doesnt know about bitcoin and he does not want to pursue it. This just means that Jack Ma has no clear understanding of how bitcoin works due to his prior knowledge on forex exchange. He maybe expert on e-commerce but he is not an expert in terms of bitcoin.
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kanye West finally mentions the B-word on: May 18, 2018, 12:46:19 PM
Bitcoin....

Has anyone else listened to the interview. He mentioned bitcoin at 27:29 and 37:25. How great is that?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxwfDlhJIpw&t=712s

Though to some this things are not of  importance but this could help us increase the number of bitcoin community members. Kanye West is a popular individual and if we make some memes or taglines or qoutation with his name under it and spread it across the social media his fans could also be joining and buy some bitcoins. Though this is funny but its worth trying.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there a database of inaccessible bitcoins? on: May 18, 2018, 12:43:15 PM
If so, I'd like to add my 6 mBTC to it!

This is a unique kind of question in relation to bitcoin. As far as my knowledge is concerned there are no such thing as a database for inaccessible bitcoins since we cannot monitor those inaccessible bitcoins. Also people who have inaccessible bitcoins does not report it and if they report it there is no one who are taking notes on it and compiling them.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CHILD PORNOGRAPHY IN BITCOIN on: May 18, 2018, 12:38:13 PM
I have already made a comment of this topic but I made some research about the relationship of bitcoin and child pornography. There were actually cases wherein people use bitcoin to pay somebody to have access to child pornographic materials but there is much bigger problem here. It is not with bitcoin as a currency but with the technology which is blockchain itself. I have read that last 2015 the Interpol have warned that blockchain could be used to storing virtually un-deletable malware or child abuse images. This is the one of the biggest concern of Interpol with regards to blockchain and child pornography.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can buy KFC chicken by Bitcoin on: May 18, 2018, 12:25:51 PM
Yes, but only in Canada that this practice is implemented for a limited time. The company is accepting Bitcoin via BitPay as one of the options through an online check-out page. The Bitcoin Bucket will be delivered directly to the customer's address (the product also carries a $5 fee), according to the check-out process on its website.

I thought the news about KFC accepting bitcoins is already applied to all of KFC branches throughout the Unites States of America and its only now that I realized that it was not on the USA but on Canada and for a limited time only. Maybe KFC is experimenting if they can have more sales by accepting bitcoin and if the sales increases they will continue to accept bitcoin to all KFC branches across Canada.
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why sudden bump in bitcoin? It is now over $8000 on: May 18, 2018, 11:53:02 AM
Well the bump in bitcoin was caused when somebody bought a large amount of bitcoin that have caused the price of bitcoin to 8700$. Bitcoin even rallied up to 9900$ but it never breached 10k$ due to a high resistance. But with huge dumps of bitcoin the price went down to 8100$. I hope we can break the resistance and start going up again.
