384  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [MYSTERY] Coins for sale 75 cents USD on: February 02, 2017, 04:15:47 PM
Are you selling pennies, nickels and dimes for 75 cents here ?  Undecided

What is the shipping cost in the US for a letter (I assume that would be the shipping cost here) ... Looks like 49c ? So leaves 26c for coin value ?

Are these cryptorelated coins, or random world / US coins ?

I am hoping the coins would not be loose in an envelope ? They need to get to the buyer

387  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] 2011 Year of the Rabbit Gold/Silver Coins on: January 31, 2017, 12:43:35 AM
Since it says $30 on it, does that mean I could spend it somewhere that accepts CAD? I am not too sure of the laws on CAD stuff, but I know in the USA a private mint cant put a $1 on a coin.

killyou72, if you buy each of the silver kilo's ill pay you double the $30 face value on each for them , so $60 each Smiley

just let me know !

Zimbabwe dollars ?

Reducing ask to 1.5BTC

I tried to tell you! You are not going to get 1.5 BTC for this.

If you do, I'll eat a sock and donate $50 to Wikileaks.

Sounds like a challenge to me!!! Tongue

Any takers??

Crowd fund ?

396  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Interest Check] Blockchain at Berkeley Coin on: January 09, 2017, 10:39:52 PM
Figured you would have, always worth a check though.

If you could get a COA that's formally issued by Berkley, that would be cool.... but probably a big ask

I'm thinking old school looking. Coats of arms /  red wax seal,  and signed by one of the Deans or something. Contrast the new of the coin / currency with the history of the establishment

Hey EOD. I would be interested in one, also happy to run a group buy for anyone EU / UK based, if that would help when the time comes

Auctions for low numbers would be better for your botom line, will also allow you to understand market value, plus break even point for the rest of the coins

Mints. I would reach out to other makers. OgNasty may be your best mainland US bet, as he has recently done a lot of activity.

North West Territory seems to be the de facto, IIRC, but there will be other options. A lot will depend on the mint run size. I am sure costs and quality will vary significantly

Do not underestimate the costs of your dies. They are more expensive for silver, but if you can do silver, do so (just higher upfront costs)

bigtimespaghetti did a book on how to make coins. It would be worth reading, if you havnt already. If you cant get the book (or ebook ?), then shout up, and I will send you mine

Also .... is this coin formally sanctioned by Berkeley ? It would make an interesting COA if it could be, and an interesting first as far as the tie up to an esteemed educational establishment

Best of luck getting this over the line
399  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Serious] How long does the paper in a casascius stay legible? on: January 07, 2017, 10:12:43 PM
Its an almost unanswerable question. We wont know how long they will last until they are no longer lasting ...

Need to understand paper and ink used by Mike, then draw parallels from the nearest equivalents

Interesting to know if the holos provide an air tight enclosure (and even if they block light)

Clearly having in an airtite or ANACS slab would assist, and keeping them in a slab case that blocks the light

I agree decades should be achievable, if not longer, given some old notes / maps ages
