The first time I meet people who are so firmly convinced that the earth is flat. It's funny to say this, but there are also unique in the crowd who preach this idea.

This is serious stuff. The ball earth lie is the biggest lie ever told. Nasty fucking business.

All of us at one time beLIEved in the ball earth, but some of us have somehow managed to break free of the bullshit propaganda and lies that we have been fed for centuries, and discover the real truth about things; and not just the flat earth truth. There is an awakening happening. People are beginning to look 'under the veil' and are realizing that most, if not all, that we have been taught is complete bullshit. There are more and more of us every day. Things will soon reach critical mass, and then look the fuck out. The Zionists, the freemasons, the Jesuits, and programmed peons like BADecker and Company will hang from the tallest trees. Count on it.

Goofs like BADecker are a cancer. It's amazing why someone would troll a thread so obsessively, like some kind of deranged religious fanatic, trying to convince people of the "error of their ways" or that "nope, there's nothing to see here, folks".

If you don't like the idea of the earth being flat, then fine. Go somewhere else and leave people alone to research and explore what feels right to them. Don't be a pompous, self-righteous cunt and tell everyone they're wrong or stupid or uneducated. Shame on you arrogant cunts.

If you are interested in the idea of the earth being flat, then look into it further for yourself. There is tons of information to go through.

Don't be a BADecker. RESEARCH FLAT EARTH.

Jesus, are you like this in real life? Maybe if you actually responded to people's points, rather than just calling them cunts when they say things you disagree with, you might gain a shred of credibility.

I can't believe you're for real tbh, I'm becoming sure that you're a sort of inside agent posting bullshit youtube videos to make the flat-earthers look stupid. Correction, stupider than they already look.

Don't let me stop your youtube "research", professor of the Flat Earth. Don't forget the citations when you write your paper!!  Grin

Trend seems to be leading to a new ATH in 1-4 hours -- if not, then we might see some dumps when it breaks the lower rising support line.  Get your BTC ready.

Or 7 minutes after your post! To be honest I was hoping for a drop to buy some more, I sold a few at ~0.008 to recoup my initial BTC, wish I'd just held now but in the words of GZA "you needa diversify yo bonds, nigga!"

I'm thinking a drop to below 0.01 is pretty unlikely now, but I'll set some bids there anyway, just in case. Otherwise it looks like I'm holding for the foreseeable future.

most women are immune to demons possession

My ex must have been an exception...

Gravity, ISS and Mini Moons

Good grief I'm in tears here, the way he says "MEWWWN" and "MINI MOOONS"

This is 2 minutes into the video

This guy, oh my days... I'm honestly not sure if he's serious, maybe he's auditioning for voice acting on South Park?  Cheesy

On topic, I'm pretty sure his theory of why "MINI MINI MEWWNS" don't exist can be explained quite easily by using the gravitational constant.

385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 22, 2016, 05:02:38 AM
68% of the valuation of XMRBTC is theorized to consist of dark market energy.

And similar to dark energy it's impossible to pinpoint where it's coming from. The actual dark market, or people speculating on its use there.

But if it gains critical mass, there'll be a feedback loop and it won't matter who started it.
386  Other / Off-topic / Re: New bitcoin song on: August 22, 2016, 02:36:33 AM
Hah this is pretty good, not quite up there with the "Bitcoin Baron" track by YTcracker but some good rhymes in there nonetheless.

You guys are British? 2nd dude sounds pretty British to me, I make beats in my spare time so if you wanna do a collab hit me up!

I was actually going to post this, seems like very compelling evidence for warming.

I'd be very interested in any comments or rebuttals from skeptics on this....
Sure.

If it came from Gavin Schmidt (and it did) I wouldn't believe a bit of it.

I was hoping for a more detailed rebuttal, it's not as if this guy recorded all the data personally. The methods seem to be referenced quite thoroughly in the article; I haven't checked all the references tbh, but just saying "Gavin Schmidt is a liar" isn't a valid argument IMO.
388  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: August 22, 2016, 02:00:23 AM
It was in fact a solar eclipse not a lunar eclipse that just occurred, I was mistaken.  Lips sealed

edit:

The solar eclipse actually occurs on Aug 21, 2017. I'm not having a good day. Sad
This means that, on that day, but the next year, it may happen that the irreparable?

Fuck I got the dates mixed up and went on a photo/video bender on the Sun and Moon with no eclipse. Sad Next year....

Serious question. If the sun and moon are some sort of projections/spotlights, how does a solar eclipse occur?

What about the 'p' and the 'd'?  Huh Cheesy

Haha it's actually a representation of a synchrotron particle accelerator.

I'd be very interested in any comments or rebuttals from skeptics on this. Of course I understand that El Niño is very active this year, and also that there may be limitations to some of the data's accuracy. But it does seem to show an overwhelming trend.
391  Other / Off-topic / Re: Flat Earth on: August 20, 2016, 10:27:19 PM
Wow, this thread has really descended into infantile nonsense. Just stupid jpegs and unfunny personal attacks, no actual discussion.

Most people already think you guys are stupid, but go ahead and reinforce that idea if it makes you feel good. The bar can't be lowered much more anyway  Cheesy
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: August 16, 2016, 07:24:22 PM
Isn't it ironic?  Like a song about irony which illustrates the concept using examples of non-ironical schemas, instead exemplifying concepts such as redundant transport provisions, or the predictive fallibility of meteorological modeling?

Then again, Sod's Law is a terrible song title, not to mention being a bitch to fit in the chorus.

 Cheesy

The abundance of unsuitable culinary equipment...

On topic, I'm watching XMR closely at the moment. I feel the infrastructure has got to a point where it's more than just an idea (like the few times the price peaked in the last year or two), and there is actually tangible progress going on. I told myself a year ago that I'd sell my stash for a small profit if it hit 0.004 again. I've changed my mind.
393  Other / Off-topic / Re: the box effect on: August 16, 2016, 01:19:48 AM
Growing your own food is a great idea, don't get me wrong - it's cheap and mostly tastes great. But there's no need to try and sell it with pseudoscientific bullshit.

For example, could you explain exactly what the 'essential life force energy' is, and why canned foods and 'closed water systems' lack it?
394  Other / Off-topic / Re: Teens Discover Seed That Naturally Cleanses Polluted Water on: August 16, 2016, 01:08:42 AM
This is cool but there's no, um, magic involved. They didn't discover the seeds and they don't have any special cleansing properties. The idea the kids had was to construct biodegradable water filters out of the seeds.

Also I don't think Dr. Mercola is a real doctor...

Greek yogurt - 10 g protein/100 g
Oranges - 53.2 mg vitamin C/100g
Spinach - 2.7 mg iron/100g
Milk - 120 mg calcium/100g

Moringa oleifera leaf, raw/100g:
9.4 g protein (less)
51.7 mg vitamin C (less)
4 mg iron (nearly 2x more)
185 mg calcium (about 1.5 times more)

Here we have a classic journalistic tactic where a legitimate story is tweaked to adhere to the "healthy, green agenda" (because that shit sells like hot cakes at the moment). Chuck in some downright lies from a fake doctor, along with some buzzwords like "no chemicals" and "antioxidants", and hooray your site gets traffic and you get paid!

Who cares if the article's full of lies and spin, 99% of your target audience won't bother checking!
395  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-08-06] Bitcoin not money, US judge rules in victory for backers on: August 06, 2016, 11:08:56 PM
This news seems very bullish to me, the way I see it this is setting a precedent for bitcoin related businesses in America.

It's weird that NY spent ages pushing through "bitlicenses" but Florida has just implied "do whatever you want guys, it's not money so it's cool with us..."
396  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Electric Universe theory on: July 29, 2016, 07:33:32 PM
Yet astronomy is stuck in the gas-light era, unable to see that stars are simply electric lights strung along invisible cosmic power lines that are detectable by their magnetic fields and radio noise.

Haha what?  Cheesy

Go learn 6th grade physics my boy. You should have failed that class.

The stars are made up of hydrogen and helium that burn and emit electromagnetic aura in all frequencies, some are visible light that light up the Earth.Yes the stars are gas balls. Now go back and do your homework!

We are so glad you have set us straight... you who have been out there and analyzed the stars from every angle... and would never lie to us.

Go and do YOUR homework, and see that possibly the greatest part of the things that science tells us doesn't really have much of any backing in science at all, but mostly in speculation... and straight out lies.

Cool

Um actually he's correct, there's a huge amount of evidence for what he's saying. It's nothing to do with analyzing stars from "every angle". It's to do with the electromagnetic radiation spectrum visible from stars.

By analyzing the radiation spectrum emitting from stars, we can detect their chemical composition. This has to do with "Fraunhofer lines" and how they show what chemicals stars are made of. It's actually an ingenious way of analyzing stars.

In 1993 there was a great, powerful ancient force that rose up and devoured the death metal scene whole! This…is Covenant.

Morbid Angel was such a great band. Their first three albums in particular are some of the finest death metal anywhere, and this one in particular is amazingly good. This is one of the classics; an album that succeeds at being both an atmospheric piece and a brutal, intense musical maelstrom. Built on a basic foundation of chugging, pummeling guitars, rough growls and blistering, hellish melodies, Covenant becomes something greater than just another basic death metal album.

http://www.metal-archives.com/reviews/Morbid_Angel/Covenant/596/

Those first three albums are masterpieces... Altars is my favorite but Blessed and Covenant are right behind it. One of the best full sets on YT, the 1989 Rock City show in Nottingham on the Altars' tour - Trey and the band just rip through the first album: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83hMPN-1oos

Awesome, some fellow Morbid Angel fans. That video is excellent, what I would give to be there...

Covenant is probably my favourite, but the first 3 are all up there (I liked Domination as well, if a little over produced). This band was one of my most listened to as a teenager, along with some grindcore bands (Napalm Death, Brutal Truth), and the early Cradle of Filth stuff.

Your user name is quite Scorpiony  Smiley Fun fact, the band used to own a seaside mansion a mile from where I live, and Uli's brother Zeno used to work in a local factory that I worked in for a while. Unfortunately he left a few months before I started working there so I never met him Sad
398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calm before the storm? on: July 29, 2016, 04:58:22 PM
Well 2.5 weeks later it seems my prediction was wrong.

We did see a small surge that pushed the price through $680 but it ran out of steam, and we've been bouncing around the $650 level ever since.

However, the price stability and strong support at this price is welcome and refreshing.

I've got an LG g4 at present but I do wish there was a top line windows phone with top line, er, Windows.  It's by far the smoothest OS and seems to work well on weedy machinery too but the lack of app thing totally murders it.  Most apps have zero reviews which says it all.

I have a Nokia 620 that I wheel out occasionally and using that feels so much more civilised and natural than Android. Guess it's too late now.

Snap. I have a G4 and I love it, mainly for the value for money and the great camera on it. I was going to root it and install Cyanogen, but apparently that voids some of the camera features, in particular the manual mode which has shit like manual focus (great for macro) and up to 30s shutter speed (great for taking pictures of lighting storms etc.)

Here's a couple of macro photos I took of a tiny spider on my hand (zoom in to see the detail):

http://i.cubeupload.com/FiwWta.jpg
http://i.cubeupload.com/2NAQea.jpg
I'll try and embed it but it's high res so we'll see... *edit... nope.

In the second one you can see he's actually climbing a miniscule hair on the back of my hand like a boss!

Unless you're rich, fuck apple phones. Granted, the newest 6 series do have excellent cameras, with great slo-mo shutter speed, and obviously the clean interface and nice design are a plus. They're especially good for non techie type people, as the interface is very simple.

But I despise their business model of locking you in to their whole software/hardware ecosystem, and the fact that their phones don't have expandable memory (and they have the cheek to sell £300+ phones with only 16GB of memory, and charge you over £100 more for a few extra gigabytes!!? Daylight robbery.)

I'll take my £250 LG with removable battery, Quad HD screen and expandable memory slot; rather than shell out £600 for some overmarketed bullshit fashion accessory!
