3961  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 07, 2011, 11:46:14 PM
mining mainframe appears to be lying about stats anyways.
digbit says they just  found a blockabout 30 minutes ago

and miningmainframe agrees on their stats page

but the info on the stats page says 139.50 percent and has for quite some time now... can probably disable them if you have them feeding you info.,

edit.. they seem to be doing the hour delay.. should go to zero shortly... they do appear to report the block on time.. on the stats page but then report shares for the last block everywhere else for an hour after.

nicely spotted sir, they have a real BOFH in there I think
3962  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: One of my GPUs has the lowest hash rate yet always accepts shares the fastest? on: August 07, 2011, 10:55:14 PM
you still there ? give us more info pls
3963  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 07, 2011, 10:32:04 PM
That could work as well. People have been kicking it around for a while and well nobody ever did anything. If someone could figure out how hashrates scales to shares/second I could probably do it myself.

that would be making share graphs based on hash-rate/s and reset it with the "Low Profile" signalling ?
3964  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 07, 2011, 10:06:10 PM
I only turned it on for the default. And Its looking like it doesn't work. I'm going to have to do some more debugging.

I've seen that it doesn't slice but thought it's normal

just enabled all pools I don't mine on info and all I say is WOW, I have a nice network overview from this blue page

edit: could not be working because we have apis that sample hash-rate of the pools not round shares ?
3965  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 07, 2011, 09:22:07 PM
wow the stats page is starting to get some scroll to it... nice

Quote
So, for all the backup pools I should make accounts and set them to just info? Does the more "info" specified pools help deepbit mining?

oh crap.. well i guess it is about to get even more.. BBS going to reenable all i can.. to info..  and see who still gives stats.

you can say that again, guess I will enable all my "info" sources too if it helps

Latest Version I get this error on start up of bitHopper:

Code:
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "bitHopper.py", line 10, in <module>
    import pool
  File "/home/djex/bitHopper/pool.py", line 12, in <module>
    from collections import OrderedDict
ImportError: cannot import name OrderedDict

think it's the new sort pools function c00w has added just a moment ago, we're on the "bleeding edge" here  Cheesy

Different scheduler options description?
Um, I'll throw a page on the github wiki.

I will write some too Smiley , just added kiwipool and made a new section for new untested pools in user.cfg.def on git
3972  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 07, 2011, 06:40:54 PM
Nice!
Now, how can we make it hop ready? Tongue
Tried to add this pool, but this:
Code:
[kiwipool]
name: KiwiPool.me
mine_address: pool2.kiwipool.me:8332
api_address: http://www.kiwipool.me/json/%(kiwipool_apikey)s
api_method: json
api_key: total_round_shares
url: https://kiwipoolme1.appspot.com/

[kiwipool]
#Russian pool
#https://kiwipoolme1.appspot.com/
role: mine
kiwipool_apikey: gxnkwrusjtzxerhgeqzqndjicoxcukps
user: user
pass: any
is not working

hehe it gave me troubles too, try this one for pools.cfg

Code:
[kiwipool]
name: KiwiPool.me
mine_address: pool2.kiwipool.me:8332
api_address: http://5.hidemyass.com/ip-1/encoded/Oi8vd3d3Lmtpd2lwb29sLm1l&f=norefer
api_method: re
api_key: [:0-9]+[,]([0-9]+)
api_strip:''
url: http://www.kiwipool.me

............................................................................... ...

Can bithopper be set to send bcp 1 single share every so often, like every 30 minutes, to avoid hopping penalties?

nice ideea ... simulating a cpu worker
3974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Im just been attacked and robbed on my MT Gox account on: August 07, 2011, 04:50:41 PM
So the bottom line is....

Your email got hacked and you're wanting to blame Mt.Gox for it.

you don't have to shout it like this
he knows it, we know it, let's prove it to know for sure
3975  Other / Off-topic / Re: Trade patterns in bitcoin exchanges on: August 07, 2011, 01:01:06 PM
So far I've had great experiences from the vendors BitcoinDelivers (now on hiatus) and Cablesaurus. I guess it's a buyer beware thing, and the advantage of not using a credit card to buy stuff has commensurate disadvantages. It's a matter of knowing from whom you should buy. Personal recommendations from forum members is a good start.

nice to know thanks

I'm in a dilemma here, on bitcoin-otc i've registered with almost similar but shorter nick "paraipan" and here I have this one "paraipanakos". how could I link them without having to re-register a new one on either service ? was thinking putting my public gpg in here but we don't have that
a bit off-topic sorry
3976  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 07, 2011, 12:53:44 PM
That's what I'm doing since that is the only way to make it work as intended.

Is there something that would prohibit an absolute path detection to be implemented on all files?

hehe nope, nothing and no one prohibits that but atm is not really a priority and this behavior is considered somehow normal for allot of programs and scripts, you're welcome to contribute on this project if you like  Cheesy
3977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Im just been attacked and robbed on my MT Gox account on: August 07, 2011, 12:46:37 PM
seen all that screen capt., sorry if it made you take more trouble than already did with mtgox, this is similar to something that happened to me not long ago

have two questions if you don't mind, What are the exact dates of your vacation ? and In what place or where you spent that vacancy time ? this would be more helpful
if you can back this up with scans of tickets or whatever better for you but not really necessary.

are you stupid Huh

what would it be to give that kind of information ??

I have kept holiday home in Denmark been out sailing where I had no internet. I do not have any tickets or anything that can back it up, can send you a receipt of purchase to gasoline, but what would you or better yet I get out of it ..

thanks for the fast response and for calling me like that  Huh

I asked you a question for a reason just try to give a clear answer please. I will ask again more clearly, What are the exact days of your vacation ?
3978  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: bitHopper: Python Pool Hopper Proxy on: August 07, 2011, 12:32:34 PM
cirz8 you could try changing to bH dir before launching it, like this:

Code:
cd /home/user/bithopper/bin/bitHopper/ && ./bitHopper.py --scheduler=AltSliceScheduler

absolute path detection it's not enabled for all the bH files like the html pages
