3181  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Copyright lawyers lurking on Bitcointalk on: January 18, 2012, 10:12:45 PM
Did they ask you to pull the episode of The Good Wife?

I guess this is always a possibility but it doesn't mean their lawyers are on the site. The show just did a bit on bitcoins and the shows producers may have been monitoring the forums to see our reaction. This producer (or someone else affiliated with the show) probably saw the thread and took appropriate action. It's unfortunate but posting it on here was completely unnecessary since it was posted on the CBS website immediately after.

"The video you have requested is not available for your geographic region."

Yes, it was necessary. I still don't understand why the media industry treats the digital world, the internet, the old fashioned way. Geographic borders? On the internet? Really?

Find a US proxy and you can watch it.

i thought our motto was "lose the intermediary" so +1 Mushoz.
Why can't i view the show from Spain ? i perfectly understand English if CBS thinks that it might hurt my hearing or something

i really appreciate this product.  i too look forward to offline tx capability in a simpler way.  thanks.

fyi, Ironkey updates the malware scanner online each time i open it and scans the contents of the Ironkey.

lol, and you believe it does only that...  Cool

(sorry for posting off-topic, i'm amused by ppl who still believe "scanners" do only what they're supposed to do)

I don't know what you guys have been doing, but some guy named Jeff just called me. Here's the transcript:

You are now connected to Bruno from BitcoinTalk.org.

Me: Hello. May I help you?

Jeff: Yes. This is Jeff B. at Amazon.com. What do you know about the recent questions we've been receiving regarding Bitcoin?

Me: Not sure what you mean, Jeff. Let me look into this. BRB! (went to take a whiz)

Jeff: K

Me: Back. It looks likes there are several people inquiring about Amazon.com accepting Bitcoin after viewing the Baker's Wife on TV last night.

Jeff: Damn! I missed it! I love Demi Moore!

Me: Me, too. Is there anything else I can help you with today?

Jeff: No. Except, tell all your friends that we have a limited edition coffee table for sale by a user named Rassah.

Me: Consider it done. Bye, Jeff.

Jeff: (I think I was just put off.)

Me: (That should put him off for awhile.)

You should have told him people only buy Rassah's coffee table with Bitcoin!

cold truth is that casual miner with a few cards, can't maintain 99,9% uptime for whatever reason and all "fair" methods are a double-f**k for him

Yeah, I don't usually mess that up.  Was heading out the door and typing fast.

Guess A1Bitcoinpool op is gonna rip me off, seeing as he hasn't responded to my query about paying me for the shares I already submitted. Way to start a pool there!  Rip off your miners!

hey chill down man, i'm sure he will pay all the miners when the pool finds a block
3197  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [18 GH][0% Fee] A1BITCOINPOOL.COM 10 BTC BONUS PROPORTIONAL POOL on: January 17, 2012, 01:02:58 AM
Happy mining everyone,  Just to clarify if I hit the first block the 10 btc offer still stands for someone else to win it.

nice, throwing some hashes your way. Do you have an api for pool stats or something like that ?

i subscribed to this service understanding the rules first, 1 e-mail or less a week bitcoin related and sponsored. Received my payment from the first one like many others. PM me your e-mail and i will send you a copy, you will see it has nothing to do with regular .01 cent SPAM Wink

nothing impressed.
all scams pay in the beginning.

"sponsored"? have a ppl that have a money to pay for nothing?

i just say the facts. it is too good to be true when facts talk.

of course you will have to know what scams are before calling a service as such. I didn't give more than my e-mail and benefit from being up to date with bitcoin related things and some cents for reading on that. If the owner doesn't keep his word i don't lose anything. Dunno, just my opinion on this.
3199  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies: Get Bitcoins for Reading Email on: January 16, 2012, 11:46:33 PM
you not think it is a too big rate per email?

with rate of 0.005 btc per email it is 1000 emails = 5BTC by today rate * $6.70 = $33.5

usual in PTR business the normal rate for 1000 emails user get 40 cents. ( 0.04 cents per 1 email and click on verification link )

you pay $33.5 vs $0.40  Huh

if you realy have a emails and you are not a just next scam then i will be a rich from your site... very big difference with the normal rate i think

lets see if I compare your site with one of the biggest and trusted sites in the PTR industry like donkeymails. Their rate is $0.01 ( 1 cent ) per email ( or was last time when i check them ) it is a still big difference. they pay $10 you $33  Huh

end i not count if i start to share every email to double my income.

lets calculate on minimum bitc rate: 5btc *  $3 = $15 still 50% more than donkey *100% if I share = $30...

donkeymails Created on: 16-Dec-04
bitcoinbetas Created on: 04-Jun-11

maybe you find something new in the PTR that donkey not know for their 6+ years more expirience in this business.

even you not make your home work. it is not so hard to configure and install a ptr script, put a some good design and start your business. What you do? you collect a emails and lets ppl to click with the hope of payment?

the conclusion of this all is only one word - SCAM

i subscribed to this service understanding the rules first, 1 e-mail or less a week bitcoin related and sponsored. Received my payment from the first one like many others. PM me your e-mail and i will send you a copy, you will see it has nothing to do with regular .01 cent SPAM Wink
