41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are online/crypto casinos the most profitable digital business? on: May 14, 2024, 05:06:47 PM
I think they're profitable, they wouldn't be here if it weren't the case right? Also, the maintenance is pretty much not that difficult, there's an AMA thread here about managing an online casino and there the OP talked about the pros and cons and the FAQs of running an online casino, it's a pretty good thread but I forgot the name of the thread and the OP but someone will definitely link it here, of that I'm sure.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who's winning more casinos or gamblers? on: May 14, 2024, 04:11:24 PM
Definitely casinos, it's only logical to think that they're the one that's making all of the money because there wouldn't be a lot of these businesses popping up in the real world and in the online world if it's not a popular or even a really good way to make money for a business. The wins that's made by players, it's not a lot compared to what the businesses rake in, you got to remember that there's also some stupid gambling winners that just gamble their wins back again and they end up in square one again which is really stupid if you ask me.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney - Sandor Martin Ordered By WBC For The Light Welterweight Title on: May 13, 2024, 08:22:42 PM
It's weird to me that the boxing federations and organizations are still doing this kind of matchmaking system, it's not really filtering anything not to mention that it's not making any kind of progress and the fighters that are underappreciated aren't given the highlights, look at what UFC has been doing, they're able to do a really good matchmaking system where you're forced or at the least have to fight in some order to be able to curry Dana's favor to give you a place in the main event if not be part of it. I'm still so confused at how the boxing federations are still able to get away with this, I guess when money's involved and money talks, it's not a good choice to go against the provider just because you wanted to change something.

Devin Haney needs to do more training and sharpen his technique because look at what happened last time, he either lacked the training or did it but Garcia's just too strong.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where are you hyper focus, online casinos or physical casinos on: May 13, 2024, 07:21:50 PM
Thankfully I've got the discipline not to get obsessed/hyper focus on gambling no matter what, I can't recall ever gambling in a physical casino before, maybe it's an informal thing or technically not a physical casino but I can't remember. Online casinos's probably my jam because I do like it a lot, not to mention that it's more convenient for me, I can play slots to pass the time and hopefully see for myself that I might make some win but I don't put on too much hope, I know what hope in gambling does to a person, it's ugly and I don't like that it will have a possibility that might happen to me, prevention is better than cure.

I think there's not a lot of difference between the two though, feels like to me, the difference is the convenience, anything to me is mostly similar, maybe the physical casinos do have the bottle service or bottomless alcohol but that's just an online deposit in a different direction if not extra steps, they both entice you to stay longer in your gambling session in their casino.
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing all your fortune with just 3 years on: May 13, 2024, 06:40:08 PM
That's just so fuckin' sad because if that were my money, I would've probably done an early retirement and the desire to gamble is probably not in my body anymore but this man chose to be greedy and lost more money than his total net worth, that's one hell of a way to be addicted into gambling. I'm saying this as a conspiracy but I feel like Watanabe is specifically targeted not just by anyone though, it's probably a Yakuza thing too, I mean a businessman of that status, you probably should have some level of control of yourself, my theory is that this never started as gambling but it started with drinking, that's how they get you, alcohol lowers your inhibitors meaning that you're probably going to let your self-control get weaker and in this case, Watanabe was successfully conned by these people that works for the casino into losing everything.

I can wholeheartedly agree that this is a sad story but I have to add that this is a really good story to keep you vigilant with how you spend your money when you're gambling, you never know if you're becoming a sucker for these people so be careful. Note that, I'm not referring exactly to Yakuza, it's just that this style of losing money is akin to how they operate.

48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A question to all the people that have invested before? on: May 12, 2024, 10:58:04 AM
It's the same thing, probably back then there's less people and the sentiment of the public when it comes to bitcoin is pretty much against it given how much FUD bitcoin was being thrown bitcoin at that time especially during those times when the raid against Silk Road happened, that's a lot of flak that bitcoin got there, that's probably the same time that the narrative of bitcoin being used to launder illegal/dirty started. Another difference is the value, you can probably get away asking for 10 bitcoin in exchange for nothing really.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fixed supply doesn't matter (change my mind) on: May 12, 2024, 09:52:31 AM
It does matter, with an endless supply, that would mean that we can just wait for more bitcoins to be mined and the desire to acquire it is just too low which means that there's lower demand and the prices would be lower, you can't do what DeBeers did with diamonds to bitcoin, large supply but through conspiracy, being able to inflate the price. Look at all these altcoins out there with billions in total supply if not bottomless, are they as desirable to acquire as bitcoin, what's their current price?
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin a possible tool for revolutionising financial inclusion on: May 12, 2024, 07:54:11 AM
I don't know about you but it's already been revolutionizing how we see finances, it's not limited with stocks, bonds, and fiat anymore. Bitcoin already changed that when it started to do it's transactions and promoting more privacy and anonymity to protect against oppressive authorities, no stock or bonds could ever do any of that, those are closely watched by the authorities and they know who owns this much stock, you can't do that with bitcoin though, that's why a lot of government around the world is on the hunt when it comes tools that will help bitcoin become more popular with the people, they know that when the people don't need them anymore, they lose control over those people, and that's probably the worst nightmare for any government out there, to lose control of their people.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should there be a way to register your wallet with the government? on: May 12, 2024, 06:32:15 AM
What would be the point of pseudonymity that we're barely enjoying with bitcoin if we let that kind of thing happen? I for sure would rebel against that idea, that's not going to be a really good thing to do when it comes to protecting your privacy, plus I don't like how my government spends the taxpayers' money, their public projects suck and most of the time, the biggest expenses are lavish parties and useless abroad travels. Maybe if I'm forced to comply, I would just create a throwaway address that won't get any transactions, I won't mind if they monitor that one, I might even pay them to do for my amusement.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tesla may once again accept bitcoin payments whether this is capital snobbery or on: May 12, 2024, 03:20:29 AM
Now that's just funny of them to do, really stupid too if you ask me. They could've not removed this option back then and they're probably reveling in riches right now if they were accepting bitcoin as payment back when the price was around 20k, that is a mighty stupid decision for them and now people don't care about Tesla anymore. I don't know if I'm right to say this but in my opinion, this is probably one of the biggest blunders in history of business. Anything positive about this, I just hope the same thing as @peter0425, that it will introduce bitcoin to new people and encourage other brands to adopt the same payment option.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crackdown on mixers and privacy tools is ineffective: it may even help criminals on: May 12, 2024, 02:48:25 AM
Totally agree with this, it's weird that authorities have been doing all of this thing ever since and a lot of studies have already proven that prevention of something is much better than outright intervention and prohibition. This is the same thing that's happening during the prohibition era in USA, they banned alcohol and then the people got craftier with how they will smuggle or make alcohol, same with drug smuggling, the more money that's involve, rest assured that people will innovate in terms of getting the most out of whatever that thing they're using/selling/buying to make money.

The same principle with prison, weapons are crafted based on what's available to them and you would be surprised to see what the inmates make but I digress, when the authorities completes the crackdown on this mixers and privacy tools, there's going to be that one developer that will create an innovation and revolutionize privacy tools in crypto space, once that happens, it will cascade into more and more people learning about that new tool and that new tool is going to be replicated, improved, and upgraded then it's another race with the authorities again, it's a never ending cycle of prohibition and innovation to avoid prohibition.
54  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin Price is Down Today? on: May 11, 2024, 11:43:05 PM
There's probably nothing significant that's causing the price of the bitcoin market to go down, @DeathAngel is right, this price drop that you're talking about is probably just a reaction of the market towards what's normally happening to it, more people are probably selling than usual so the price will definitely drop if there's more people that's selling their stash, law of supply and demand. Just don't worry too much about it, remember that it's your opportunity to buy more bitcoin whenever this kind of thing happens, that's just how things are and you should know how to adapt to it.
55  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Ambulance - Campaign - Ukraine on: May 11, 2024, 04:46:30 PM
Didn't expect that I would get those merits, you guys never should've made a fuzz about it and gave those merits to the people that's deserving of getting them merits. I'm happy that my donation was able to make a bit of difference to the hell scape that a lot of Ukrainian's are currently facing, to the Ukrainian forum people out there, this war isn't bound to last long and that there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

Are there like a thread about this donation drive that's only giving out updates on the things that are currently happening, probably really cool if get an updates on what's happening to the donation, pretty useful to prove your innocence when there's people out there that doesn't believe in what this person has done to the get to the point that you don't care about but it's thrown to you.
56  Other / Meta / Re: Artificial Intelligence on the Forum on: May 11, 2024, 04:09:42 PM
AI will make spamming much easier because users that will try to spam the forum can just make multiple accounts and then use AI to create topics and posts that clearly doesn't have any thought in it or organic idea in there which makes it easier to reproduce with just a simple prompt, they'd probably be able to do it. So rather than dealing with that possibility because they want to serve people equally and give them the freedom that they want to have, outright prohibition is the route that they've chosen which is understandable because that's the way that would be better for more people, the quality of the posts aren't even going to be affected or would be damaged because there's a restriction on AI generated posts.

The other thing that makes AI bad for this forum is that it would be an unfair advantage to those that knows how to post without the assistance of an AI.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people lose in gambling and still go ahead and bet more? on: May 09, 2024, 07:54:56 AM
They chase losses, that's all there is to it. They can't get over the fact that those losses aren't going anywhere anytime soon and that they're never going to get it back and so they falsely believe that they'll be able to win it all back if they just gamble more when that's not how things work anyway, it's never a possibility to ever get it back. If people stop thinking about gambling as a way to get out of the poverty line and think that gambling is the key to a wealthy lifestyle, maybe we would see less and less of this kind of people and we would eventually stop wondering why those people do what they do.
58  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: May 09, 2024, 06:56:07 AM
Both A and B samples come from one container which is divided by an official conducting the testing. It’s practically impossible for one sample to be clean and another one dirty. This is why Ryan is trying to get ahead of this by claiming that the failed test is due to contaminated supplements. I don’t know whether he will be exonerated but he is already busy trying to hype up a fight with Errol Spence.
Can't Haney just let it go though? I feel like he's being a sore loser trying to cling to hope that Garcia is really using PED to fight him, can't he just accept the curse of Prime? I'm just kidding. But in all seriousness though, I feel like this investigation won't lead to nowhere, the drugs if there's really something in the system, would've been out because it's been so long. For me, the only way to resolve this is a rematch, but this one there should be an independent committee overseeing both boxers, that way there's no possiblity of cheating or PED.
59  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help me find sites or telegrams to track fixed matches on: May 09, 2024, 03:30:19 AM
Just gamble for fun and not for money. I have seen many people that wanted fixed matches but while they were looking for something like that, they were only gotten scammed by some people who saw it to take advantage and scam them. If you are really looking for money through gambling, it is very dangerous for you as you will also want to use higher amount of money for gambling but which is very risky. Just gamble for fun, be disciplined about it, have a gambling budget and make sure it is of small amount that you can afford to lose and be gambling responsibly.
They won't hear you, they want the easy money and the legal stuff for then is too vanilla for their taste so they do this kind of thing, they're basically trying to make their gambling habits much more extreme by risking their hide too. Getting caught using fixed matches to win your bets is a surefire way to destroy your life, there's no two ways about it, that's what's going to happen when they do it but even if that's the case, that's not going to stop then anyway. Pretty sure that they're more worried about how much they can do in a day rather than getting caught doing this stupid shit.
60  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poker bot profiles on: May 09, 2024, 01:38:00 AM
You need to tell us what does this bot do OP because not all of the people here don't know what bot are you exactly talking about, it's probably in your best interest to tell us what because it's going to be a big deal for your "business" that people would know something about what they've paid for, this is the first that I've heard of bot profile though, is this like those bot accounts that are commenting some generic stuff on the YouTube's comment sections? Because that's what I'm implying this bot is.
