I just received a notice from UPS with a tracking number for a package is on its way from Germany. I haven't ordered anything else from there so this must be my order. It is from SebastianJu's first group buy.

EDIT: I also received an email from burninmining saying that my order is complete and showing the tracking number.

Wasn't resolved long. It is happening to me now.

If you filled out the order form and submitted it after paying with paypal then it will have the necessary info like name, email, and paypal transaction id, etc

The only email I have is the one from PayPal. Do you know what email address the other one comes from?

I also didn't realize shipping wasn't included in the original order. It wasn't obvious when I placed the order that I'd have to pay that later.

Hi,

im looking for advice regarding water cooling of my gpu's. I know it probably isnt very cost effective for mining, the reason why im doing this is so i can move 1 or 2 rigs to work where electricity is free. The problem that i have is that it's a pretty small office (12m² ~ 129.17ft²) and it can get very hot overnight and i'm not allowed to have the window open when im not there because then the alarm will go off.

So my question is:
1. Would watercooling solve/lower the exaust heat?
2. How about noise? I'd like to keep it to a minimum as it is a workplace and it would be annoying to listen to all the fans blowing.

1. No, you will produce the same amount of heat. It just gets moved out of the computer and into the room faster.

2. Yes, it can significantly reduce noise. I have two HD 6970's that sounded like hair dryers at full load. Now on water you can barely hear anything.

1. Are you sure about this? It doesnt compute with me how can a GPU that's on about 45C generate same amount of heat then a GPU on air with 80C for example?

2. That i like Smiley

1. Yes, 100% sure. The video card uses the same amount of energy no matter how you cool it. The GPU is generating the same amount of heat. The reason it may be 45C when water cooled is because the water efficiently moves the heat away from the video right away. The radiator then can quickly transfer that heat to the ambient air.

46  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: September 21, 2013, 01:56:54 AM
My 60 GH/sec showed up today from a Oct 4, 2012 order. They have picked up some steam, I didn't think I'd see it for a while. Averaging around 58 GH/sec and as loud as everyone said.
47  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Latest update from the COO, Josh Zerlan, of BF Labs Inc. on 65nm-based miners. on: August 23, 2013, 03:35:56 PM
BFL promised to ship devices in the order of the date they were purchased, then they went ahead and shipped to people who were 6 months behind me in line. Still haven't seen that Single ordered July 2012. They straight-up lied to me and robbed me. I hope they end up in jail.

This is what turned the tide for me. I wasn't happy with the delays, but I consented to them. As soon as I saw people's orders later than mine going out I realized they had no intention of keeping their side of the deal.
48  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: I'm starting to get fucking pissed (BFL) on: August 22, 2013, 07:42:32 PM
Good luck! Let us know in a couple weeks how long/arduous/painful the process of getting your refund out of BFL is. Mine took a month.

Like I posted in their forums:

I'm not even slightly angry. If anything, I am dumbfounded. If you haven't been lying, then the only possible explanation is that you all have the worst luck any company could possibly have. Not a single thing has happened like you have planned.

Finally gave up and requested a refund. Oct 4th trade in for 60 GH unit. Since it was only ~$750 and I paid with PayPal, ROI was looking pretty good even with the delays. Now that I see how slow the singles are trickling out, I think I'd make a few hundred bucks, but not worth it any more. No way is that thing shipping out this month, much less the 30GH I ordered in April right before the price increase.

Does anyone know where you can view your reseller info? Like stats on links or number sold? I emailed them but they never replied back.
51  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} Why The Monarch Might Just Work on: August 18, 2013, 04:57:20 PM
There is no way it will release on time and in that form factor.
I do not know simply. I mean it.
You sure?

only thing i say - that's VERY smart move and i'm glad this is projected at least.

No, of course I don't know "for sure". I'm just looking at their track record. They always over promise and under deliver. Not once have they come even close to their power estimations.

EDIT: I do want to note that I think they make excellent hardware despite everything else. It is just frustrating that they can be so off from their pre-order estimates.

53  Other / Archival / Re: Help with USB Block Erupters on: August 12, 2013, 06:38:14 PM
Would I lose hashing power if I use a 2.0 hub instead of a 3.0 hub? Don't the hash/s count on the speed of the device as well? I thought I had read something somewhere about the eruptors being USB 3.0 (and why wouldn't they be?)

It makes no difference. USB 2.0 is already significantly faster than what the devices need.
54  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: So i got my BFL 50GH+ but the fans noise ... on: July 23, 2013, 08:40:31 PM

On a serious note, make sure you get a fan that has the same RPM rating or you could damage your machine by under-speccing the fan.

Actually the key number is CFM. There can be two fans running the same RPM but one moving significantly less air because of blade pitch.

Worked great for me too. All ordered.
56  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: So i got my BFL 50GH+ but the fans noise ... on: July 22, 2013, 09:09:51 PM
The fans noise is huge, anyone replaced fans with smoother ones ? If yes, can u make a small guide how to take cover off and so on ? Smiley

Thanks

How did you end up with a 50GH when they haven't finished shipping 60GH ones yet?
57  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Work in progess] Burnins Avalon Chip to mining board service on: July 22, 2013, 08:05:26 PM
Same here. Cart totally messed up with other people's orders.
58  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My BFL Singles are now in "Production" on: June 26, 2013, 05:49:58 PM
Just looked and saw that mine was marked "FPGA Pending". It is an October 2012 order though so I'm sure it has quite a way to go before shipping.
59  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Water Cooling on: June 26, 2013, 02:59:37 PM
I honestly don't think it is going to work all that well if you are just running straight "tubes" through the block. You are not going to get very much surface area covered with the water. The entire area that covers the chips should be covered in water.

Beware, mining United and pyramining

What's wrong with Pyramining? That appears to still be up and I can get in my account.
