41  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the purpose of your post ? on: December 24, 2020, 10:03:09 PM
Every post must have delivered with an intent to share and let others learn. However, due to topic which is somehow irrelevant, the replies too will become irrelevant and are boring to read. Most likely generic post have been generated due to signature campaign qouta to reach every week to get paid especially the altcoins bounties section. There are bunch of projects in that section that are actually scam and that offer work which will not pay. Sad reality and that is why I had move out in that section due to lot of trust issues with team handling the projects.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Altcoins Follow BTC Rally? on: December 24, 2020, 01:59:59 PM
Bitcoin is a hotseat of this year especially the bullish trend. No wonder that almost of the thread present in the section are all about bitcoin market price.

Now, with trendy aspect of bitcoin the altcoins had nothing to do with it. As had been observe that some altcoins had fall down and crashing while others are also being bullish just like bitcoin. In altcoins, no one could reay say that when bitcoin is good so it does to altcoin. One thing is sure about altcoins is that most altcoins fall down when bitcoin market crashes.
43  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's too damn easy to become a developer nowadays on: December 24, 2020, 01:54:56 PM
there is no certificate of qualifications to be a crypto developer, tokens are so damn easy to build through smart contract platforms
Certificate is from their source code. If their projects are created by source code of other projects and they only change minor details: project names, token name, ticker, total supplies, blocktime, block rewards. Those projects are scam.

I don't consider people who create and run scam projects as developers. They don't deserve to be called as developers.
Hopefully I can learn to check certificate or source code in order to recall the past history if it to see if the project is scam or not. Is it easy to verify the source code and if it has been used before? I do not really know if it will be possible but the info you have provided here is really something that I should start to learn something about cryptocurrency. I am trying to educate myself but do not know where to start. LOL!
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Be careful with the Gokumarket exchange on: December 24, 2020, 01:38:22 PM
An exchange which name is very irrelevant to the cryptocurrency. How could I trust such exchange? In the world of cryptocurrency, every user must be observant and all.be careful especially that there are too many unregulated exchanges that are oy created for scamming and others are also for phishing. So, guys educate yourself in cryptocurreny before engaging into something which you might fall into the trap of the scammers.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hedge Fund Pioneer Paul Tudor Jones Says He Holds 1%-2% of Assets in Bitcoin on: December 22, 2020, 11:06:09 PM
Well, that would be nice knowing that there are 21M bitcoins total supply and he has 1-2% of it so that would be around 420,000 btc holdings. That would be huge selling that together will create such down trend for bitcoin. If that will going to happen then we can expect that all things will follow including those huge whales also investing in bitcoin. Good thing they are still holding btc now and I think any moment they will going to sell it all at once.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin can't be banned on: December 22, 2020, 10:36:39 PM
I think that the author of that article should speak with the Chinese Government since they are now banning bitcoin. We all know that once the Chinese Government moves it's for real. Too bad for Chinese people who use bitcoin and other cryptos, lucky for us since our government thinks the same as the author of this article...
Well, you can't be sure that there will be no chinese people using bitcoin now. Any country could express the ban of bicoin but they could not totally prohibit bitcoiners to find way to make its access. Remember that bitcoin uses p2p network and everyone is part of it. So chinese people could still access bitcoin knowing that they should not be getting caught by their government authorities. Anyway, every countries has priorities now to settle and that bitcoin is lesser compared to other issues being face by so many countries like this pandemic.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin needs more women. on: December 22, 2020, 10:32:52 PM
In this forum, we do not have gender that need to be shown. There should be no distinction between male and female here same as no discrimination both gender. If the admin on the forum wants to distinguish male and female then the account itself would specify by having a profile picture but this is not the case. We the bitcoiners does not  have any issue with gender but yes we do love any women to join in bitcoin.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria is now the No.2 bitcoin market on: December 22, 2020, 12:31:09 PM
Still, I am happy that Philippines had been part of it in the list. Though that only few marketcap was only listed in the Philippines in which I do believe that it could do more good in the future as time pass by. There could only be few hindrance that prevent the Philippines to grow and possibly because of so many scam networking running and introduce wherein mostly are just for scamming. So sad but this is true in Philippines where many people invest in scam networking ponzi scheme.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Christmas on: December 22, 2020, 12:26:50 PM
I was wishing that hopefully the forum will have a bitcoin santa that will give BTC even in a small amount to every users that will participate or win in the activity. Bitcoin is a perfect gift for christmas because we are in the pandemic and that bitcoin as gift can somehow prevent the spread of covid19 wherein bitcoin transfer could only be done online. Hopefully as the bullish trend for bitcoin someone or satoshi will going to show up and conduct bitcoin giveaways.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $20 000 BTC. We did it on: December 22, 2020, 12:20:52 PM
This is one good attitude of a user being not selfish and thinking of the bitcoin achievement as done by all especially to those who members in this forum.

Anyway, the 20K$ btc had been broke out already by the current market at 22k$ after it went down from 23k$. Actually the current market price had surpass already the 2017 ATH recorded for bitcoin. And my prediction of ATH will go 25k$ and is a high chance to happen.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 5 best staking coins? on: December 21, 2020, 12:32:18 PM
currently the most popular and awaited one is Ethereum,
because Ethereum has been upgraded to Ethereum 2.0 staking can be done on Binance,
there are still other coins, but just choose one and do staking.
Yeah after the upgrade I thought that ethereum had done good especially in its network which could be faster and more cheaper than previous network before the upgrade. However, at the bullish trend of bitcoin where eth market price has been influence and that it also becoming bullish and as a result it made ethereum a high gas fee and that possibly made the miners get the chance to take the members that are spending huge gas just to accelerate the transaction.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Need some help to Understand Bounty campaign on: December 21, 2020, 12:26:07 PM
Not safe in my opinion because mostly newbie or copper member newbies are only used for scam. If they are really serious in their project then they should pay reputable bounty manager. The team should consider to spend money and that is normal and part of creating a  good project. This is how I see newbie copper members. But for your information that not all newbie accounts promoting bounty campaign are scam. There are some newbie accounts that are promoting good projects.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the founder of Bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto show up and give bitcoin? on: December 20, 2020, 10:17:45 PM
OP thinks Satoshi is Santa or what?

If you were an inventor who made something, would you spend Christmas giving it away for free?

Maybe Elon should be giving a free Tesla to everyone and Bill gates should give a free copy of Windows, because it's holiday season ho ho ho! Grin
Not likely a santa but you know big companies had made good profit due to the fact that their workers are motivated and wanted to stay in a company they are working due to some excitement even a little gifts for them. This will be seeing as a sort of motivation for the workers in case to us the bitcoiners. What do you think could happen to the forum when giveaways will be conducted? I think more and more bitcoiners will come over to the forum and enjoy the stay.
54  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Can Be Bought With Bitcoin? on: December 20, 2020, 10:13:09 PM
In my own opinion, I would rather use bitcoin as an asset or investment. Bitcoin as a digital currency is a little bit complicated and costly when use in payment due to transaction fee from the third party service taken that if the establishment accepts bitcoin and convert it to fiat. We know that this is mostly the reason why it is costly to use bitcoin as payment due to the fact that establishment that accepts bitcoin does not literally accepting btc as btc rather a converted btc to fiat currency to get a more stable currency for their operational expenses in the establishment to get. They need to get the profit for them also to spend it in order to continue their service.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Non DeFi projects starts going DeFi on: December 19, 2020, 09:52:07 AM
That's true, there are some projects that start going Defi just because of the hype. Those kinds of projects are taking advantage to gather more investors to start investing into their project. DeFi is really popular right now that if investors heard that a certain project is a DeFi project, they will invest right away.
Just like ICO as what OP had stated that most likely it gets into scam. We do not have any choice but to allow them the scammers to do their job because these crowdsourcing  projects are not regulated and not registered. Sad to say that it get like this but still there are good projects we have at the current. It just that it is difficult to find good projects or legit.
56  Economy / Speculation / Re: I bought BTC at 23.5K$ on: December 19, 2020, 09:47:48 AM
Did you get FOMO? Well, if you do then you do not have choice but to wait when bitcoin will going to do good in the future. If you can wait then there is no problem with how much you buy for your bitcoin.  Anyway, bitcoin is best for long term hold. So if you have bought that kind of price just kindly wait probably 3-5 years from now that market can get doubled so it is still a big profit in you with the market exponentially increasing over a period of time.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: MEW Wallet? on: December 19, 2020, 09:38:28 AM
In my opinion if you had lost the JSON file and private key then it would be very difficult for you to access your funds. Even in my own personal experience retreiving the lost ethereum made it even harder for me when I lost the private key and the JSON file. I am losing more or less 500$ that time when ETH was about 700$ per ETH and that was 2018 I guess on May. Anyway, I had move on already.
58  Other / Meta / Re: Pls Add a Price Tracker somewhere on the forum on: December 18, 2020, 08:11:36 AM
Bitcoin is not all about the price you will get because bitcoin enthusiast would only see bitcoin as a way that could solve problem that are present in the fiat currency or other centralized system payment in which being under by a third party service. The founder Satoshi Nakamoto would not allow that to happen due to some reason and one of it qouted below,

Quote
Banks must be trusted to hold our money and transfer it electronically, but they lend it out in waves of credit bubbles with barely a fraction in reserve. We have to trust them with our privacy, trust them not to let identity thieves drain our accounts.

So, the purpose of bitcoin should be remain as what the founder wanted it to happen. Privacy, P2P and decentralized with no third party service involve.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you rely on the odds when placing bets? on: December 18, 2020, 06:25:04 AM
Yes, getting the odds when betting makes you more feel confident to place bet. Of course, the lower the odd the higher chances of winning in every bet but it is not guarantee though but only chances of winning. It is not bad either that odds are being calculated in a manner depending on the number of bets being involved. In my own opinion betting with high chances of winning lets you get profit but not that much profit to get especially if the odd gaps is high.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regret in cryptocurrency investment? on: December 18, 2020, 05:25:36 AM
I regret when I had bitcoin before and invested into altcoins and then market crashes but still the altcoins that I did invested was not able to recover. Sad to say that even though bitcoin is at bullish trend other altcoins are likely going down trend for I do not know the possible reason. Anyway, I had move on already to it because I only invested money in which I can afford to lose and that was a big lesson learn in my part also. So, next time I should invest in the right coin and that would probably be bitcoin or a strong altcoins like ETH, XRP and BCH or other trendy altcoins right now may do.
