Don't bother.....there are 6 miners mining 95% of all blocks and the development teams responce is basically "it's open source.....write your own miner". Obviously a few did and that miner is absolutely dominating the chain. I am a bit disappointed in current "decentralization".....I hope it is taken seriously.
Hey, we completely understand everyone's frustration with the current situation. It usually takes months for mining power to decentralize. We have forwarded all concerns that the community has expressed to the dev team. Here is what I can tell you currently: 1. A windows miner is being prepared. 2. Nodes are being worked on to become stratum-ready (a step towards pools). 3. The blockchain explorer is almost ready. 4. Miner optimization is considered. Cuckoo cycle is different than other mining algos and significant optimizations are harder to achieve. The team is deliberating on what can be done. Also, I know that the focus of the dev team will now be on making the software more accessible/clear to users. That's all for now. Best, Vlad Pools are necessary for a mineable coin. Now mining AE is only the whales' dinner.

Hello everyone! I am happy to announce that thanks to a community member (Chris from TwenteMining) we now have a detailed guide on how to start multi GPU mining on Ubuntu. Thank you Chris! ACCESS THE GUIDE HEREWe are also working on enabling mining on Windows as well. Best, Vlad approximately when the Windows miner will be released? That's also my question. Hope the dev can set a timeline. How profitable to mine AE with GPU compared to other mineable coins now? Who know?

Hi, I notice that there is a private contest: Bloggers Fans LP20-MIX EU, which require password for joining in. How can I join in this contest? Cannot find any information about it.
It is a private contest linked to a marketing event. Only the people linked to the event can participate. Where can I find the information about the marketing event?

Hi, I've sent a transaction with XSPEC, but accidentally included too little fee(0,0001). What can I do to speed up the transaction's confirmation or to replace it?
XSPEC is better than Bitcoin, for XSPEC there are no delays, transactions are almost instantaneous. The fee (extremely low) is automatically calculated by the Spectrecoin wallet, so my conclusion is that you have problems with exchanges, it is to them that you have to ask: why do they delay your operation? The Spectrecoin wallet has no delay. If the fee is less than that indicated by the wallet, then there is simply no shipping, but there is no delay from the Spectrecoin network. It's bullshit. The most important feature for a cypto is the consensus. Does XSPEC have a wide consensus?

Question: Is there a step by step on how to stake Bitcoin 2? Can you please enlighten me about the process, I am a little bit confused. Anyways, congratulations to the team for having a great job in following their roadmap. Cheers Also, are there other upcoming exchange? How to stake Bitcoin 2Option 1) Just click New Address at https://bitc2.org/web-wallet/, store the private key so that you can login again and send BTC2 to the public address displayed there. That's it. Option 2) Download and install one of the Bitcoin 2 Core wallets and launch it. Click Receive, then click Request payment and copy the address. Then send BTC2 there and keep the app running. Currently already confirmed upcoming new exchange listings: Bisq and Altmarkets. Nice feature! I think BTC2 among those BTC forks is doing good enough. I can foresee the pump of BTC2 when the whole market recover.

is it mineble?
It is not mineable, but it stakes.

Wow, under 0.01 BTC. Down about 97% from ath versus BTC and 94% from ath versus USD. Looks like new marketing and distribution methods very effective byteball has a very small team. if you would like to help out send me a DM, that would be great. thanks Thank you for the offer but no thank you. I can't see myself working on or with a coin that is operated by a single person, and the distribution of which is controlled by a small group or even a single person in secret. I actually was quite interested in byteball at launch, and had plans to run a full node and setup a bot on freenode for tipping and/or betting, but I'm quite disillusioned by the repeated changes to the distribution mechanism(s) and the total network control by a single individual 18 months after launch. Similar to afbitcoins I still hold a bit, which I've basically written off at this point, but time is much more precious than some satoshis. I just see this thread pop up on my unread list a lot and thought I'd chime in with some perspective. Most of investors have the same feeling.

The distribution has been handled very badly. I was very vocal about it at the time and my feeling has not changed one tiny bit. From my own personal point of view it started very well with airdrops to bitcoin holders, although I missed most of those due to hearing about the project too late I still thought it was a great idea.
This plan was then modified so that byte holders benefited from airdrops to a greater extent than bitcoin holders. To me this again seemed fair and a natural progression. I bought some bytes and benefited from a couple of airdrops. In hindsight this was the high point of the distribution plan.
I was aware that the supply was increasing hugely (As it had to. But also putting downward pressure on price) but this seemed like was offset from feeling like I was getting reward in terms of a slice of the pie receiving bytes on full moon as reward for showing faith and investing in the project by buying bytes.
So I bought more bytes, anticipating full moon airdrops. But then the warning signs, distribution to be skipped for the next full moon.... and then skipped again. Even then I still ignored it and decided to buy in bigger. The tech being exciting. Then BOOM.
No more full moon airdrops AND no plan. Instead tiny amounts trickled to people for proving their ID. wtf! Most importantly no incentive to hold instead an incentive to dump. The fall down the rankings was entirely because of this.
At this point there is no point me selling really. I've made so many losses on byteball I may as well stick with it now. Its virtually written off in my mind. Despite the failing of the distribution I still think good things are possible but it is essential that a plan is made and stuck to. And that the distribution is finished. I haven't even gone into the question of witnesses but these also need to be sorted out before any credibility will be attached to byteball.
witness decentralization issue has been covered recently on Byteball Medium, 50% by January 65,500 and counting new users from Steem since July 12 https://byteball.co/attestorsFar better distributed than most crypto projects Far better distribution? What is the plan to distribute the left 1/3 Gbyte?

devs when will the mainnet be launched according to your forecasts?
Hey, We are currently talking with developers, asking them to add all outstanding tasks to the Pivotal Tracker. The pivotal tracker is the best estimation that developers can provide us with. The dates changes based on their productivity. The good thing is that security auditing is happening in parallel to development and the devs are checking and addressing issues all the time. Kind regards, The AE team No good for the delay. But the transparency is good. I understand that the good product never rush out.

hi, jackleszz, what's the expected benefit per day by running a masternode?
Total pool of rewards for masternodes is around 288 BTC2 per day so they get that much divided by the number of masternodes online. (25% of new block rewards). Right now, with only 3 masternodes online, each one gets about 96 BTC2/day (288 / 3 = 96). It looks a good profit.

If anyone needs Bits to start their account from Steemit. I will be available for the next two hours. Lets break this bot some more. This is all love Byte balls. I want as many Balls as I can Byte. Would love to see another chain interact with the Steem it.
Read something in this thread about this steemit association and byteball airdrop for steemit users but didn't get the whole picture of this "collaboration" : what is it about in short words? The changing (always) distributing method is the biggest enemy of this coin.

I see that a new wallet version is released just several days ago.
Is it mandatory? Is the "old" (v.1.4.0-g) workable?
Shall I have to update my wallet to make sure the wallet stake work well?

Mandica, should we beg you to answer my questions? Tell me please about the work of wallet in China and about non-performing transactions between stealth address?
We are working to integrate Tor pluggable transports that will enable the wallet to work in China. There is no such thing as a transaction between stealth addresses. A stealth address is a means to prevent address re-use and if you send to a stealth address it will generate a new normal address every time so that transactions can not be correlated on the blockchain. Please read this before we discuss stealth addresses further: https://monero.stackexchange.com/questions/1500/what-is-a-stealth-addressThat will be a good decision. Anyway, why do you open a new thread? It is the second time to open a new one?

For those who required Linux wallet: I just compiled the linux wallet with the updated information in README.md. It works! I will buy some to stake. Just follow these steps: git clone --recursive https://github.com/spectrecoin/spectrecd spectre ./install_boost_1_67 # only necessary on Debian/Ubuntu/Mint/etc. If you have installed Boost 1_67 before, you may ignore this command for now ./autogen.sh ./configure --enable-gui --with-qt5=/path/to/qt/version/compiler # leave out --enable-gui to build only the console wallet make Thanks mate, I'll check it out!! The wallet works smoothly. And the stake is also working. However, Cryptopia sucks. I bought some XSPEC and withdraw them yesterday. My XSPEC is still under processing for over 24 hours. XSPEC will require some big and friendly exchange other than Cryptopia. My XSPEC withdraw is still under processing in Cryptopia. Do anyone have any idea about fast the process? Two days I have already waiting....

I am newcomer and very interested about bitcoin. I need a wallet before I am purchase some bitcoin. What is the best and most secure bitcoin wallet?
Your suggestion is very important to me
If you ask for the best and most secure bitcoin wallet, I recommend the Bitcoin Core wallet, which you can find the link in the top of website. Anyway, I should know you need at least ~190GB memory and wait for a long time to sync.
