41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: $2.7 billion merger - Bally's Corp and Gamesys - one of the biggest in gambling on: October 06, 2021, 11:14:42 PM
I don't think that this is going to be terribly interesting.

These land-based casinos have no expertise when it comes to running online based casinos and thus I do not believe in their long term future.

The bulk of the innovation is likely going to come from smaller players and startups who have adopted crypto and have been operating for a good part of the last decade.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 06, 2021, 10:52:08 PM

Ahhh...  The Stephen Curry effect...  I blame analytics but I guess all you can really do is be mad that shooters have gotten so much better that it makes sense to shoot from half court now as opposed to running an offensive play to try and get an open midrange jumper.  People always say how Michael Jordan would score 60+ per game in today's NBA, but I sort of think the opposite.  His mid-range fadeaway move (his bread and butter) would be discouraged by coaches today.  He'd like be forced to shoot more 3 pointers and would have the lane completely closed off so he couldn't drive.  I think you'd see his fg% drop as a result, and with that his usage rate.

Really makes me appreciate Shaquille O'Neal and be glad I had the opportunity to see him play in person.

I wonder if this effect will decrease in strength given the recent rule changes about drawing fouls.

I think that if people can be a bit more physical with the 3 point shooters the league could potentially go back to the more post-up mode.

Don't mind it either way. Basketball is basketball.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fake bets on: October 06, 2021, 10:37:22 PM
I am very much strongly against this.

I think that it is a dishonest practice, to put it bluntly. No consumer should make their decision off of some streamer who has an infinite money glitch from the casino.

It truly sensationalises a lot of the content and makes the streamers a lot richer than they actually are in reality... Not a fan.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputable dice sites with instant/flash bets on: October 06, 2021, 10:24:14 PM
Wolf bet is the way to go, OP.

I would not suggest anything else. Duckdice has a shady history.

I think that I also remember 999dice offering these flash bets, but they are definitely something to stay away from as much as possible.

I'm personally not buying this.

How is this going to be feasible in the long run? You are essentially offering a perpetuity - unless you are pricing it very unfavourably to the buyer how are you planning on sustaining this sort of operation in the long run?

The site looks fine but I'm skeptical on the whole investment front.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why NFTs projects are not making wave-like ICOs on: October 01, 2021, 01:46:08 AM
I read over the news about John Cena NFT only selling 30 tokens in its public sale an event that prompted the star wrestler to withdraw his support for the project and putting it on gold, and from my personal experience, Ill the NFTs tokens I bought have not yielded any profits all stock in the sale stage for over 4 months now, unlike the ICO era in 2017 where investors making 800x profits just within one month of investment. What seems to have gone wrong in the NFT market within this short period of its existence?

NFTs are definitely generating these types of returns, you're probably just looking at the wrong places.

I've got personal friends that have taken something ridiculous like $500 to $50k or $100k in a very short period of time.

Is that indication that I'll be investing? Heck no. I think that the bulk of the NFT bull market is behind us and profits will be much harder to come by now - and most projects have absolutely zero value.
47  Economy / Economics / Re: The $69m NFT buyer & seller were partners on: October 01, 2021, 12:24:21 AM
Surprise surprise!  Roll Eyes

I believe in the idea of NFTs. But I definitely do not believe in AI generated art that can be infinitely reproduced having any value over a few cents.

The market is saturated with these and people seem to be going berserk for them still. The irrationality will fade sooner or later, although timing the market is always impossible.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advanced settings for dice bets on: September 30, 2021, 11:02:04 PM
You can use a dicebot that has support for a range of these sites. Seuntjie's dicebot is a good starting point.

However, just keep in mind that regardless of how you tweak these settings, you are NOT altering your expected outcome in any meaningful way.

Your RTP is going to stay exactly the same and it's sort of like a futile exercise to be honest. A bit of fun if you enjoy this sort of stuff, I guess.
49  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ASA to host gambling advertising webinar on: September 30, 2021, 10:51:25 PM
This sort of response from regulators is completely expected.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do something like completely shut down affiliate marketing when it comes to gambling altogether.

Which is fair enough, I think that there are certain merits to putting out a blanket ban like this. Hopefully there aren't too many knee-jerk reactions though.
50  Economy / Gambling / Re: (in/out) dota2expert.com(money/items) and csgo-roulette.net(USDT/USDT, items) on: September 29, 2021, 11:59:11 PM
I think that generating outcomes from random.org doesn't seem the most professional.

A proprietary provably fair system probably works best for this.

Also, for me, the max win of the site shows $0 so does this mean that no games can be played right now?
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralized exchange token prices soared on: September 29, 2021, 11:40:56 PM
After the news that China banned exchanges from providing trading services to Chinese users fermented, the token prices of decentralized exchanges rose, such as sushi, uni and dydx, especially the rising stars of dydx.
I think they will continue to rise and drive the market into a positive stage. What do you think is the next hot spot?

Yes, but it's hard to pick winners.

Invest in a bunch of these tokens and you should see some very handsome rewards going into the future.

Centralized exchanges and finance are on the way out, that is for sure. But a good decentralised exchange framework is also hard to build.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Every altcoins has chance on: September 29, 2021, 10:18:38 PM
This is not true in my opinion.

There are certain alts that were created just to enrich the founders and there is nothing you can do to it to revive the project.

For example, I remember the hype around Centra and ultimately they were found to be guilty of fraud. Did they ever have a chance of long term survival? Absolutely not.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking stables? on: September 29, 2021, 09:55:42 PM
Hey guys!

any idea what's the safest way to stack stables without risking losing them?
(Nothing with KYC)

Thank you!!

You can't get "safe", "centralised" and "no-KYC" in one sentence.

I think that your options would be expanded significantly if you were able to provide KYC, but otherwise you're limited to a few niche projects.

What is your motivation for staking stablecoins anyway? Why not stake something like ETH instead?
54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot vs Video Poker on: September 29, 2021, 08:30:26 PM
Modern-day gambling has increased the quest to gain more skills in playing the various gambling games, while some games require skills to play them, others are relatively simple to play and require little or no skills in playing them.
As the topic specifies slot and video poker are the most friendly and simple games to play for me but the two have some disparity which I will love us to discuss on this thread.
1 what are the similarities between slot games and video pokers?
2 between slot and video poker which is more technical and requires skills to play?
3 what are your personal experiences with both games?

To answer your question, I actually think that there isn't that much similarity apart from the user interface.

They are two completely different game modes that offer the user completely different amounts of control over outcomes.

I'd much prefer slots because I don't have the time to learn the basic strategy for video poker but I can definitely see why people would prefer the latter.
55  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Will the exchange cancel all Chinese users? on: September 28, 2021, 11:16:11 PM
Following the announcement of the Chinese government to ban Bitcoin;
Huobi.com has issued the most tragic announcement to clear all Chinese users.
Will Binance and OKcoin issue the same notification next?
So will it be followed by the cruelest process of suppressing the price of Bitcoin?

I think that they will eventually.

Whoever is registered as a Chinese citizen should keep an eye out for exchange announcements and act accordingly.

But no way are big, regulated exchanges going to risk it by offering services to a banned country as large as China.
56  Economy / Economics / Re: How has inflation affected your savings and investing? on: September 28, 2021, 10:47:36 PM
In terms of savings, it has definitely made it slower.

Groceries & prices in generally have crept up over the past few years that has stymied savings progress, whilst wage growth hasn't seen the same growth.

In terms of investing, it might have actually helped. Most of my portfolio is in stocks and cryptos which generally positively associate with inflation.
57  Economy / Gambling / Re: BLACKPOT.GG | $200 GIVEAWAY | CRYPTO GAMBLING | CRASH, JACKPOT, ROULETTE ETC on: September 28, 2021, 10:17:43 PM
I like the game modes. Seems like a fun take on a lot of old school games.

Try to integrate some live games when you get the chance as well. I believe that is going to attract a lot of streamers and also potentially get people more comfortable with your site as they are familiar with these providers.

Best of luck with your launch and giveaway.
58  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 500xBit.com - Easily Bet On Bitcoin - 500 ❌ 250 ❌ 100 ❌ 50 ❌ Insane Leverage! on: September 28, 2021, 09:54:07 PM
I really like the fact that you've lowered withdrawal fees to 0 because right now bitcoin fees are near zero yet there are a ton of casinos that are charging 0.0005 BTC still from the earlier eras.

I like the game mode as well - it's quite innovative but risky at the same time!

Will there be longer expiration contracts available in the future that is not just 5 minutes?
59  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetJA.com | The highest Payout among all major Bookmakers + Free BTC on: September 28, 2021, 08:51:12 PM
Sorry if this question has been answered before, but how can you keep track of all the other sports books to make sure that you are always consistently offering the best odds?

Is there some sort of "price beat" guarantee available?

But site looks great and I would really want to play on it!
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Nft hype-cyvle is over? on: September 25, 2021, 03:14:45 AM
There's still quite a bit of interest in the NFT space but I'd say that most of the frenzy is gone now.

People are getting to the actual uses of NFTs now, which is as a digital avatar or to allow for royalties to be collected on a very streamlined basis

I think that the space is very interesting and worth a watch in the future, but not many projects are worth buying at current prices.
