41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] VIDY | Video Layer for Ads | ⚡$16 million already raised! ⚡ on: September 12, 2019, 10:42:35 PM
I've participated in this project's translation bounty. but never got any payments it's been almost a year. I almost forgot about that like all other scam projects. but today found out that it's listed in coinmarketcap. so the project is running but they scammed bounty hunters without any payment. this is a shame.

Yeah right! And this I think VIDY is getting away with this shameful act but at least its our duty to warn others so that they may not
fall prey to these deceitful perpetrators who have no word of honor and deliberately deceived the community face to face without any
hesitation.  Angry
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are only rich on spreadsheets on: September 12, 2019, 10:34:36 PM
Yes, that's what bounties these days make us. They show us big big rewards on their spreadsheets but the real values of those rewards they offer us are sometimes not even up to $5 on the market. I feel bounty hunters are only being used as baits by project owners to catch their investors virtually for free. What do you think guys ?

Not only that! Take the case of VIDy bounty campaign where the participants were only rewarded a fraction of what there are supposed
to earn and this only shows the VIDY management are very arrogant and insensitive of others feelings making it more like a double jeopardy
to bounty hunters.

43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening to new projects? on: September 12, 2019, 10:21:19 PM
What the *eck is going on? we have many good projects coming into crypto space but they mostly end up failing, too many good new projects are dying as if they are been created to just die, what do you think its killing new good projects apart from scam projects?

I agree! I reckon these projects have failed mostly to poor management and don't have any sound financial planning yet I must commend on
those projects that chose to continue development despite of its low financial resource.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the best Quantum-proof cryptocurrency? on: September 12, 2019, 10:12:34 PM
You could include Temtum (TEM) which is also quantum resistant and has been a product of years of research by Richard Dennis
- https://temtum.com/ . Aside from that, the project also sports some cool innovations in blockchain technology like their temporal
blockchain tech, but its most ideal if you could do a DYOR on this project and see for yourself. Smiley
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No good projects from a long time on: September 08, 2019, 11:41:03 PM
Most projects are now all copy paste from all those successful projects and most new social experiment projects are still not able to gain more popularity to make new investors because of this red market. Most experimental projects cannot sustain on this bear market so that's why they end up as scam projects.

You are right! Most projects right now are recycled ideas but the good thing here is that most members of the crypto community can now finally distinguish a good project or a bad one since they are getting well informed! I reckon the crypto winter taught valuable lessons to us to be more vigilant on project's we choose to support.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ELAD Network - Blockchain, Real Estate, and AI For a Smarter Way to Invest on: September 08, 2019, 11:32:02 PM
There has been a handful of real estate themed crypto projects before but unfortunately, I think all of them have failed! Could you give us valid reasons
on how the project will be able to cope with challenges to have a long term growth and viability?

I think one of the reason is Elad team consist of experts in both property and blockchain industry and that is a powerful synergy. Another one is fractional ownership. (just my opinion)

I saw someone is buying slowly here

https://www.cbx.one/trade/ELAD-BTC

I hope you are correct! but if I'm not wrong, I believe that merging real estate and crypto as a business model has not been proven to
be successful before and it could be a hard sell to potential end-users since I feel they would rather put their crypto in lucrative endeavors
other than owning a part of real estate.

On the other hand, that little trade volume as illustrated above has no significance yet and the team needs to work harder to attract investors/believers and generate more demand for the token. I hope the team could also share with us their immediate plans about this.
Lastly, I don't mean to discourage or FUD the team on their vision but anyways, good luck to your project. Smiley

Thanks for your perspective. I believe in blockchain adoption. So I believe blockchain will hit any industries. As long as the blockchain people never stop the effort.

The IEO is still running and I also hope the team had some secret potion to make the campaign success.

No report from the sale today.

Well, if the team could show the crypto community that they are serious, dedicated, with integrity and capacity to develop the project,
I think there is no reason why the community will not support the project's goals and vision. Smiley

who is developing this game? any Company or only you?
you know big MMOs employ lots of devs.
your trailer  Shows Nothing and the Concept is not new.

good luck with everything

Hey, one of my companies is developing the game, Future City INC and I are developing the game Smiley
we are staffing up with 3 new staff members and we are currently 4 involved currently on the game development and overall project
we want to keep this a small game studio, to begin with, because we don't need a lot more stuff at the moment as we have already outsourced most of the heavy-duty work for the framework and other things and now we are taking care of getting our in-house staff, so to speak, but most will be working remotely but an option will be to work in-house at our office as well.

I have left my other companies temporarily is very adept hands and am focusing my full effort to run Future city INC and make this game everything we say it is.

Our teaser isn't ready yet
'
When will  you publish your whitepaper? as I understand, investors would love to read it that to assess the project's viability?
Could you also show us your repository in Github if there is one? assuming you have worked on past projects before right?

48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sleeping giant altcoins on: September 07, 2019, 04:43:23 PM
I suggest you do research on solid projects out there and I'm sure you will find them even in the top 350 ranking in CMC. Most of them
have low profiles and yet solid on its development. You could try to start researching on these unique projects which has own platforms
and with very active development. project.

50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No good projects from a long time on: September 07, 2019, 03:00:21 PM
In my opinion, there are still good projects, but they got lost in a pile of garbage. I also see such a problem as a loss of investor confidence. I think that everything can still change, but this requires a real revolution in cryptocurrencies.

I guess the OP was referring to crypto prices who had suffered massive losses during the crypto winter and that is why he/she might be pointing out this idea that currently, there are "no good project" anymore  where in reality, we all knew that there are still a few who deserves our praises. I also want to point our that a token's price is not directly correlated to the overall worth of the project as this is a wrong idea often entertained by some members of the community. Conversely, we cannot directly say that a project's performance and fundamentals is excellent even if its token price is much higher than usual and vice versa.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No good projects from a long time on: September 06, 2019, 04:41:49 PM
If you could only do further research on other crypto projects then I'm sure you can find sound projects who are poised to disrupt with
their innovation! But don't worry, its just that the market had suffered a slump that there are gloomy sentiments within the community.

54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My opinion about dumps caused by bounty participants. on: September 06, 2019, 12:04:43 PM
Many people do not understand offer and demand, how it really works.
If all bounty hunters would like to sell all their tokens (2% of total supply) it is a huge selling pressure. If there are not enough buyers, price is going down until encounters buy orders. And as you can guess, noone wants to buy ICO coins just after the ICO sale because those who wanted buy, they already bought. Smiley
Your point of view?  Cool

Have you considered it from the angle of early investors dumping their tokens especially those investoes that bought during the pre-sale stage with bonuses of 10-30% off. The hunters allocations aren't that huge and hardly before you see a project distribute bounty tokens immediately after crowdfunding of a project is over.

Here's a proposal which might work to prevent dumping as understandable if there aren't enough buying support, hunters selling their tokens will surely bring down the price value of a coin. The proposed strategy goes like this, distribution should be done in batches also there should be a break of 15-30 days between each distribution date. Some projects already using this technique are recording a successful. Irrespective of all these, a shitproject without any real value will still lose price value whether or not they get dump by hunters.

Exactly! Bounty allocations nowadays are much lesser than before that its impact once dump will be almost negligible! My hint is that the teams are also dumping their tokens /coins on the market alongside with early investors and often bounty hunters are usually blamed for the sudden price crash. We must also remember that not all bounty hunters prefer to dump their tokens / coins right away especially if they believe on the merits of the project.

The OP has no links, no whitepaper or some kind of business plan and no documentation. How would anyone become interested in this project if doesn't even have a working website?

Hey there glad that you brought this forward

Most of the back-end functions will be run on smart contracts and this will be a virtual life game with action features
we are in the early stage right now and focusing most of our development at the game itself and the environment and funding ourselves by for example selling pre-alpha spots to players which provides us with the seed money, and then, later on, we will also hold an IEO and people will be able to purchase the game so that will provide income to the company, there will be no subscription fee, the main institutions inside the game will be stock-based and ownable such as casinos, banks, houses, businesses, and more, now this means that there will be some interest that will be earned of the money that you keep in your virtual bank accounts and you essentially will gain vesting profit from keeping your money in the bank but you will also be able to lend to others with interest but that profit will not be generated by the system, as for if you own part of the stocks in the casino then that means you will get a dividend of the total profits from the casino monthly split by the number of stocks that you have vs the number of stocks that exist and this will also work for businesses, which you will need to supply with materials for them to keep running and giving you profits, the cryptocurrency that will be created for future city will have an endless amount of supply that will only be dictated by the system itself which of course is created on blockchain and is therefore non-corruptable & hackable which will comprise of the total amount sold in the IEO and the generated by system on the go and we can not create anything more than is hardcoded in the smart contracts which will be created
the idea is that you can also create contracts with other players and contract them to do pretty much anything in-game
so that you can hire them to go get materials for you, kill this player, bodyguard this VIP, be a driver for a day, advertise your wares, just whatever you can think of really and when the job is fulfilled the escrow gets released, simple.
You can also do direct trades and use the global marketplace as well, and the idea is that you will also be able to
buy apartments or houses and furnish them with nice things and decorate them as you want as well as vehicles
after we see how much will be sold in the IEO then we can adjust the number of the smart contract on how much realistically the rewards for each aspect of the game will be and the prices for items and decide how much everything should pay out and things like that, it is impossible to decide before the IEO because then we can't create a real and viable economy without having the math behind it in the first place and we can only get that when the IEO is finished.

Then there is the claim land system, that is to be so that players can claim an amount of land in no-mans land
and build on it as he sees fit and with that function and the deed will be kept on the blockchain as well, the land is buildable and we also want to make it so that it will be rentable out to other players, so for example if you got a nice land and many segments together in a really good spot and you build on it and then you rent out your piece of the land then you will be able to collect some crypto from that investment you have already made by either claiming the land or purchasing the land from other players and then building on it, now lands will be split up in these kinda increments and players can only claim a set amount of lands and there will be a limit on how many lands you can claim and a higher limit on how many lands you can own so if you claim some really good land, earn profit, then you could easily re-invest into buying more land even if you have claimed all the lands you can clam
now no-man's land will be where the resources are found and where the action is at its peak, and this is where players will spawn, to begin with, but also parts of it will be where you will find missions and the best resources, there will be zones which will be less dangerous and other zones which will be highly dangerous and should not even be considered to enter without high-end gear, no man's land will be HUGE and the center of it will be a massive abandoned city

now to the even further future, we also want to make a starport inside the future city which yet again will be able to be ownable by players and based on stocks, and with this starport, players will be able to buy themselves fares to other planets but we also see that players will be able to buy slots from the starport on spaceships that will transport players, players will need to buy tickets to travel to other planets and that will be a part of the ecosystem, yet again profits are shared between stockholders, some planets will charge you a fee for entering the planet.
now we also want to make it possible so that players can buy special colonizing ships and fly out themselves to space and try to find colonizable planets in a procedurally generated space with a ton of planets, suns and solar systems that will have a very small chance of being colonizable, but we will create a number of planets to be "planted" inside this procedural generated space and planets etc, which we reckon will have more than 10.000 solar systems and more than 100.000 planets, now after you colonize a planet that means you own that planet and every bit of land on that planet, you can do as you please with that land, build on it, rent it, sell it, whatever you want, the planets will have different resources on them and some will be filled with rare materials that could make you crypto-rich, now and of course you and other players can go to these planets and explore them after they are colonized or make them your home.

Between no man's land and future city, there will be a ferry that goes between the lands, but you will never get past border security at Future city unless you have valid citizenship, you can buy one illegally on the black market in no man's land and get it infused with your chip, otherwise if you somehow would be found walking around in Future city without a citizenship then Autobots would probably shoot you down at sight.

Now we want the city to be free roam and open world, as well as no man's land, as free as possible and as sandbox as possible as well, but Future city will not be sandbox / buildable but will be free roam and open world.

You will be able to form corporations in the game as well, corporations can also own land and businesses and planets, and they will be stock-based.

Now the biggest challenges we will be facing is making the system in the beginning so that all the additional addons in the future will be easily integrated with the already existing smart contracts and systems that will be created in the beginning, so we will have that to think on before we actually make the entire blockchain-based economy ecosystem and will need many experts in the field of finance and software development to think all of the ecosystems through in it's whole even though that the game and game world will be gradually created and added to.

But other than that then we see it as smooth sailing Smiley

I understand you are explaining your business model to the community but would it be nice if you could put it altogether in a whitepaper or develop a site for it? What platform will be used to run your smart contracts or will you be developing it from scratch? Maybe you could also show us your Github repository if indeed you are now at pre alpha stage of development to further attract possible investors to your project?

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is better ICO, STO Or IEO ? on: May 30, 2019, 02:30:18 PM
I think all of those fund raising strategy are almost the same in standing since whatever we chose don't matter if the project don't deliver or performed as expected. Moreover, I can take part on any of those events on the consideration that the project I chose would bring results regardless of what type of fund raising scheme they would conduct.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN SV and BCH on: May 30, 2019, 06:47:20 AM
That is true that both projects are all good but I would choose BCH over BSV since it has lesser issues like BSV that could hurt more on its stakeholders or even lessen its community though I think it is already happening right now! Moreover, If you look at CMC you would know what coin that is most favored by the crypto-community. I hope you know what I mean. Smiley
59  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Prehistory on: May 30, 2019, 06:35:55 AM
A very good overview of where Bitcoin started and since its a chart for Bitcoin prehistory, maybe you could add in the timeline the origins of cryptography and its evolution over time especially in World War II era where there are serious work being done about it which I guess lays the foundation of modern cryptography which is directly related to Bitcoin. Imho.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]PumaPay - 🚀🚀Comprehensive Blockchain Billing Protocol 🔥🔥 on: May 29, 2019, 05:20:41 PM

🚀 We are pleased to announce that the PumaPay (PMA) token is now listed on DX.Exchange. Trading for the PMA/BTC and PMA/ETH pairs will commence shortly and PMA/USDT on Thursday! http://bit.ly/2YXRwMW

I commend the PumaPay team for their efforts in listing PMA in one of the top notch and versatile exchange to date - DX.EXCHANGE . I think this exchange listing would enable more traditional investors to discover PumaPay's platform and could therefore increase the likelihood of its adoption. Suffice it to say, DX.EXCHANGE could rival the likes of big and well known exchanges  in terms of technology and features and its  is one of the best and new exchange that I've discovered so far  that I can say that PumaPay is very fortunate to be listed on it.
