strongly agree  we can make it but never guarantee it  that it will become very popular Let's not forget that we are dedicating 5% of the tokens to the startups after the ICO. Supporters will be able to earn more YUPIES by helping the projects on Crowdholding. All marketing channels can make an impact, we will work on the bounty structure to make it better for the ICO. You are right and any project that spends too much on bounties later regret their decision as the bounty hunters are the ones who dump their coins first when it get's listed on exchange. |

Looks interesting, I will keep an eye for now and see how the ICO raises funds because the higher the ICO the better are the projects. I think I would also hunt for bounties.

There was some discussion a while back about TEK and online gaming like World of Warcraft, or some such. Does anyone know someone we can pitch this to? I have been jotting down some ideas and pro/cons, and there may be a opportunity here. I cannot remember if someone said they may have a contact, but I would be willing to run with this for a bit if I can get some direction.

So what? At least he's trying.Just because someone has failed previously, doesn't mean that they can't succeed in the future. In fact some of the greatest successes today have been built on a history of past failure. How many coins have you saved? We are all capable of promoting Tekcoin. We shouldn't leave it just to one man. Let's pull together. I just wish there was a use for the damn thing. Promoting would be a lot easier if there was some reason to promote, other then 'hey buy TEK, then you will have....TEK. Which can be.....held. Then....Sold later. Hopefully for a profit, except the price has been on a historic landslide, along with the rest of the Altcoins that have no purpose.' Way open to suggestions here. |

Wallet notification of forks would be great to supplement the announcements, but wallet security might be compromised. What do our technical guys think?
In the main, our fork seems to have worked out well. Warnings well in advance, with plenty of cross-checking and advice available. For a real headache of a fork, take a look at Ethereum - it now has two solid competing forks. I'm glad I'm out of that one!

I agree the coin itself is sound and we need more ways to get folks interested. The idea of a tie to game currency is certainly appealing, but it would take someone with expertise in that area to step up.
As Biomech pointed out, if we could get folks started with some e-commerce utilizing TEK as the currency, that could be a boon as well.
I will start racking my brain to see if there is something within my field of expertise that could be useful to TEK. Maybe selling broken pottery??? Or offering hope to atheists??? (grin).
ebooks? tiny house plans? security monitoring? write an app and sell it for TEK? We need folks to start looking at possible solutions, and be willing to go out on a limb. Thunder did his part by putting out a marvelous coin, now we need to figure out what to do with it.

To continue the idea of Tek into gaming. I see a crypto currency in gaming as a win win situation for both the currency and the game that uses it. By using a real currency like tek for purchasing in game items and resources will result in an increase in demand for tek. People will buy tek so that they can use it for a gaming advantage within the game. Using Tek in addictive games like World of Warcraft or strategy games like Age of Empires for the use of buying weapons, technology and resources will create a micro economy in which the game can charge small fees to make money and collect tek coin for payments of purchased merchandise. Through the game people could also mine for resources and create items for exchange for tek. In this way people could actually mine for Tek in game. This would be an extremely fun way to mine Tek coin. All of these activities are fun and the micro economy can generate millions of dollars of real value with a game that adopts this as a strategy. The key is to create a micro economy within a game that use a real crypto currency. The first crypto currency to do this will have the chance to become the standard currency for game play. That currency will become the Microsoft of the crypto currency world. Everybody wins!

Thanks! Hey, whenever I click on 'transactions' the app crashes. Any thoughts? What's your OS version? 10.11.4 I just downloaded the Win version. I am running Windoze 10 on a virtual machine. Downloaded the blockchain, inserted my wallet.dat and am syncing currently. I realize there is a fork happening, but I just want to evaluate, get a feel for this coin before I invest heavily.\. I am more of a Mac guy, but if you cannot come up with a stable wallet, running in Win is a pain, but not out of the question. give me back the 3 sec lifetime i lost by read ur signature  regarding mac wallet we have a second mac user who confirmed the crash its clear we working on the topic until a working one can be provided just we have issues testing the compile if no one of us is a mac owner but including u we know now two people inside dmd community who own a mac so im sure together with u testing we will solve this I am happy to help if you wish. I do have a working (and staking yea!) wallet on my virtual machine, so it there is anything I can try for you on the Mac, please let me know. Cheers! |
