41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If everyone in the world owned bitcoin each would have 0.003btc on: October 14, 2019, 12:59:31 PM
As of now if every person in the world they would have $11 worth of bitcoin right now.
https://news.livecoinwatch.com/bitcoin-each-human-alive-getem-cold

This wouldnt include the number of bitcoin which were lost due to theft or misplaced private keys.

So would this mean there will be a shortage of the available bitcoin accessible to those who would want to own some of this cryptocurrency?
If all people in the world use bitcoin, of course the price will rise very high, the nominal amount of bitcoin owned by each person will be different, and maybe not 0.003 btc anymore, but only a few satoshi. Because the amount of bitcoin is very limited and there are still many individuals who have millions of bitcoins in their wallet, or bitcoins that are stuck in the nowhere wallet or lose the private key. Even if bitcoin spreads all over the world, of course there will be people who don't have it because of the limited amount of bitcoin.
42  Economy / Speculation / Re: What you expect about next move of bitcoin? on: October 14, 2019, 11:01:50 AM
there is always some people who are expecting bitcoin price to drop for a lot of different reasons (missing the boat, wanting to short,...) and when there is any drop their activity grows!

as to what i think, i think the price will keep going sideways for at least a couple of weeks (maybe until end of Oct.) and then slowly rises back up. if we see it go above $9k and get closer to $10k i expect another big FOMO to take place and take the price up above $14k super fast.
Of course, if everyone wants prices to go up, then certainly in the market there will only be people who would buy. some people certainly want prices to fall, with a number of reasons that are accordance in their interest. And FOMO will definitely occur when there is a rapid rise, like a while ago. In my opinion because we will approach the end of the year and the turn of the year, which is the price always goes up at such times. I'm sure we won't fall to $6k, instead prices will continue to go up.
43  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't spend bitcoin. Not now. on: October 14, 2019, 09:57:32 AM
People accept dollars because they believe that money is still backed by gold (as it was until the end of Bretton Woods), or because (unfortunately) they believe the government will guarantee the value of the currency.

That is, people believe in Dollar because they are sure that money will be at the same value tomorrow. Although this is not true.

99% of the world's population still does not understand, do not know and do not trust Bitcoin. And everything is fine. Bitcoin adoption is a lengthy process that may take decades or centuries to happen.
Fiat is believed and is still used because it is depicted from the country's economy, it is wrong if someone says that Fiat will always have the same rate until the future. it will depend on a country's economy, when a crisis occurs then inflation will occur and those who hold fiat will certainly be sad. I still wonder why many people still prefer saving and spending with fiat than seeing other very large opportunities for crypto or bitcoin, which might have an era in the future.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice - A small mistake emptied my wallet. on: October 14, 2019, 09:03:43 AM
A small mistake on dice made my wallet get emptied. Only mistake is that I didn't added an additional zero to the bet amount. Instead of 0.00005 btc I mistakenly placed 0.0005 btc. Further on the consecutive bets went for a double the value. This all of the sudden emptied my wallet. I didn't watched the wallet until the bet amount in the tab turned zero. Further watched the bet history and understood what big mistake I've done.

Sorry to hear that but on the bright side - this just accelerated the inevitable. With martingale you would have lost everything anyway.
Big mistake, if you leave your gambling game using martingale strategy. of course in a few minutes, if you are not lucky the balance in your bankroll will run out. Don't ever use a bot using martingale, when you get back your money will definitely be emptied. if you want to keep using that strategy then you have to standby and be prepared when a continuous losing streak is not stop, and stop loss at that time.
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the Faith of Casino business owners? on: October 14, 2019, 04:41:52 AM
Lawa won't stop a gambler to gamble. He or She will find option to gamble. Yes, religion does prohibits individual to gamble but, gambling is a religion for gambler 😄

I have friends from muslim countries who have been gambling sceretly online .
That is correct that a person from a country where gambling business is illegal so gamblers will find a way to gamble in any ways and no one will know. If ever a gambler can't access the site will then use VPN to be able to access it. Most people that can't access gambling site will use VPN so, there is a solution to be able to gamble.
That is the effort of a gambler when gambling is prohibited throughout the country, in fact there are ways to gamble anonymously on the internet, let alone using crypto. I think when the prohibition rules are made for gambling, it will not prevent someone from gambling, because there is still another way, thats the name "backdoor". Also for casino owners, they will certainly find other ways to open a casino, especially online casino is now very popular.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What makes you still join the bounty campaigns? on: October 13, 2019, 09:55:28 AM
Of course, it’s almost impossible to earn money by participating in bounty companies, but you can still get at least some profit, so if you have a couple of hours of extra time every day, you can easily spend them on bounty companies and get at least some additional profit where for you it’s unnecessary to invest your money, but only your time.
Your statement contradicts, you say that getting money from bounty is impossible, but you say that you can profit from the bounty. it's a contradictory statement. I admit that there are many projects become scams, many bounty hunters are disappointed because they don't earn anything, just waste time. but some others are successful and listed to the exchange. I think the opportunity to get profit from the bounty is still there even though you have to be smarter in analysis, some projects are still legit, so taking a few minutes to join bounty is not a problem.
47  Economy / Economics / Re: The re-accumulation period is in on: October 13, 2019, 08:17:59 AM
This can be considered the time to accumulate as much possible based on various reasons.

  • The price has been found low to $8500
  • More predictions stating the growth to happen anytime soon
  • Better than bitcoin, it is time for accumulation of altcoins
  • Altcoins were very low in value, and these days there is recovery
    with most trusted altcoins
  • Halving happening by 2020, and a big update on ethereum network
1. Many altcoins have a sharp drop, even more than bitcoin price drop. of course when recovery comes, the profit you can achieve will be much greater if you buy altcoin, which means buying altcoin is also highly recommended.
2. A lot of predictions about prices going up in the near future is not nonsense. from the existing charts prove that every halving price will gradually go up, and we will face it in the short term, that means we have to accumulate and collect more bitcoin.
48  Economy / Economics / Re: The U.S. Government Tried To Shut Down Bitcoin on: October 13, 2019, 07:20:32 AM
Personally, I feel Americans are saying this right about it. Have you always thought that creating a business in the crypto market is lucky and certainly profitable?
no, please. Working in the crypto market is much harder than businesses in the stock market. In some exchange exchanges, they will have laws to prevent manipulation. As for the crypto market, it is decentralized and businesses are not guaranteed.
If Facebook wants to create their own coins, don't they have the right to launder money and manipulate the market? Remember, the SEC has not yet entered the crypto market.
Every statement and policy of the US government always has a strong foundation and reason. Yeah, that could be a reason for them to at least put a halt to the development of bitcoin. I also admit that crypto business and investment are far more risky than the stock market. there are a lot of manipulations, coin scams, scam projects and so on, which is such a case rarely in centralized investments like in the stock market. The SEC has not yet come then make crypto investments have no legal basis, but to shutdown bitcoin is not the way out.
49  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does trading fees really matter ? on: October 13, 2019, 05:59:22 AM
Most of the exchanges have a minimal trading fees of about 0.25%
I see many people discussing trading fees here and there and that how high the trading fees is.
Does 0.25% really make a huge difference if you are earning at least more than 2% ?
You already have the answer dude, the answer is simple not all traders have a strategy to get a profit with a large margin, some traders even only target a profit of around 2%-5%, and if the fee for each transaction in exchange of almost 1% of course it greatly reduces the profit he gets right? sometimes some exchanges provide relief fee such as 0% on some altcoin markets, and fortunately local exchanges in my country give 0% fee also for altcoin trading, of course it's a great relief for me.
50  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poll for Gambling Domain Names! on: October 13, 2019, 03:54:14 AM
Hello Bitcoiners,

Please, vote on these premium domain names poll. Which one will you choose for a prospective gambling startup and why? Kindly explain your choice and share your opinion about the rest.

I have posted this on different threads but got some conflicting results. So I decided to settle this once and for all. The poll will run indefinitely and will assist prospective gambling owners to make their domain choices. We will be removing some names as they are taken and be adding some.

You're also free to ask any questions about these domain names, I'll be willing to explain anything you don't understand. Thanks for your votes and your opinions.
I think the domain name must be in accordance with the niche or the theme of the gambling game that you bring. Make sure you have the same domain name as your gambling game. For example if you have a gambling site about dice, then you must insert the word of "dice" in the domain name, for the initial word or the last word, I suggest something "big" that helps illustrate the credibility of your gambling site, for example prime, grand, king or something like that, it will be more better. for domain .com or another that's doesnt matter, from the name above I chose dicewheel anyway.
51  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we looking at Bitcoin down to $5K? on: October 12, 2019, 04:32:38 PM
Doubt there's anyway we see the prices plummetting to the 5,000 range this year, things are still fairly stable and they haven't crashed or blown up in the recent year.
Even if the price of bitcoin goes below $6k i hope that will be the last time we will see those prices and even if it goes down just consider it as an opportunity to purchase at a good valuation. If we have the next bull run then there is no way that the price is coming down to these three digit valuation until and unless there is a major issue in the entire market, be it a big global financial crises or some other major crises.

I don't think we can say that all possibilities are impossible, you can't say that prices won't fall to $5k, despite the fact that some time ago many people said that the bottom line was at $10k, but the price fell deeper to $8k. You can't say that the price will definitely go up to $12k, but the price will go more to $14k. Bitcoin market cannot be predicted in the long run like this, many unpredictable things can change market conditions right away.
52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crowded Casinos - Play or not? on: October 12, 2019, 04:07:10 PM
For me crowded casinos is not good to play because you cannot focus on the game you want to play.  wherein due to some ppl that keep watching on your back , and sometimes can distract during the game. So much better to play on quit place in my opinion.  wherein you can focus and no other things that cause distraction. And so that you can avoid losses on it as well.  Because  it's very annoying actually if the place is very crowded and there are some ppl whispering on your back.  Lol.

It depends on the situation if you are a person who loves/likes to socialize with people while you are gambling. In some cases, gambling in a crowded casino may boost your morale or confidence especially if there are people who are cheering on you (although this happens when you bet large amounts of money). Not to mention, betting in a crowded place increases the risk of danger/violence due to a number of people present.

Betting in a casino that has a few people may be beneficial but this highly depends on what kind of individual are you with regard to your attitude.

I don't think so, I'm not a quiet and introverted person, I like to socialize. but if too crowded doesn't mean it's a good thing. sometimes the noise that is happen when the crowd, make yourself and your friends when play gambling no longer enjoy anymore, even the crowd can be annoying.
But the crowd in casino is a natural thing, not all places are allowed to open a gambling house, that is why casinos are always crowded. so get used to yourself to enjoy in it situation.
53  Economy / Economics / Re: WHICH GROUP DO YOU BELONG HERE on: October 12, 2019, 03:40:32 PM
I am considering myself as a bull but if I need some urgent money, I withdraw minimum amount that helps me. But I am not happy about this and looking forward to have additional sources of incomes. I will probably regret all the withdraws in the near future.

Almost everyone is in the bull's group but never knows when they should sell. They believe in some speculation of a bigger price after a pump. Even if they are already in profit they are too greedy wanting to have more. Until for a long time they hodl at loss waiting again for a pump.
how do you know most people are in the bull's group? not everyone is a long term investor dude, instead I know traders more than long term investors. And I think the long term investment is not wrong if they want a much higher price, because their commitment is long term. if what you mean is to sell every pump prices happen then you can be classified as a short-term investor or bear's group. in my opinion long term investors or bulls groups are those who wait patiently for several years and take high profits in that long term period.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should Fiat currencies still exist or be replaced by Crypto Currencies? on: October 12, 2019, 07:29:08 AM
Why do we have to replace or remove one thing when they
can just work together. You know the saying "two is better than one". This can be applied when two of them are being helpful to each of us. Fiat and crypto are both helpful to us so why would we eliminate one of them? I can't see the reason to replace fiat because fiat is important. Not all citizens can access digitally. Some rural places don't have enough knowledge and capacity of digital innovation.
We cannot really replaced fiat. And since crypto is a great development, it is the addition to make things more easy.
Yeah agree, you can't use bitcoin or crypto completely after all, I know that many crypto users too glorifying bitcoin, that in the future bitcoin will replace fiat, it's just speculation. Not everyone accepts crypto, not everyone connected to digital, and also there are still many others competitors in addition to fiat anyway. Right now we depend on fiat its the fact, bullshit if you fully shop using bitcoin. Both can be used together and it's more easier, why bother yourself to only choose one, whereas you can be much easier to use both.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why it is important to lose Bitcoin to an incorrect wallet address on: October 12, 2019, 07:14:45 AM
I believe many of us has lost the precious Bitcoin at some point.
A lot of this loses could be traced back to wrong wallet addresses on the part of the sender (more reason you should double check the address before sending).

At some point you mistakingly sent Bitcoin to an ERC-20 wallet or sent it to an incorrect wallet.

Either ways, the coin becomes lost.

In times like this thoughts like this set in, "why is there no provision for recovering lost Bitcoin?

My answer to this might sound inconsiderate, but...

It is a good thing you lost it, and it's a good thing it cannot be recovered.
Maybe you will be more careful next time Wink

When you consider something as valuable, you ought to treat it with great value and care,  so before sending out your "valuable Bitcoin",  if it's really important to you,  ensure that you double check the address to avoid loss.

If you have lost Bitcoin the first time due to the aforementioned wallet issue,  then you ain't supposed to lose another one,  as you must have learnt to be more careful now.
From the statement that cryptocurrency is decentralized and lost as a case of wrong address can not be restored. That should make you even more observant in dealing with crypto transaction. There is no third party or money controller like a bank, which can recover your money when you are mistaken in sending money, Crypto is decentralized. so brace yourself if you experience it and let it go. You have to double check and be careful when making a transaction, incorect wallet addres will be a loss that you have to suffer and you cant do anything to recover it.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling activities correlates with Bitcoin's price? on: October 11, 2019, 04:59:25 PM
I don’t think it correlates although the gambling industry is the one where bitcoin and digital currencies are used heavily and this industry is one of the top supporters of bitcoin in general.

However I think the price correlates more to major events happening around the world, for example when an exchange is hacked and the amount of money lost is in millions of dollars the bitcoin price may tumble.
Agree, even though gambling users are getting bigger though it will not affect to the market. For example if a player get big wins in gambling or gambling sites become a scam, I think it doesn't have too much influence on the crypto market. Gambling business is not directly related to the crypto market, because gambling activities are not affected by the ups and downs of prices. Even though prices are falling, gamblers still play gambling, right?
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to be profitable in sports betting? on: October 11, 2019, 04:44:35 PM
A lot of us here love sports and we are betting at the same time.
I am not successful in this kind of venture but I would love to know from people here on what they do in order to win.
They say that sports betting has no house edge, but why is it it's still hard to win here?
No house edge but luck is important, sometimes big teams can also be defeated by dark horses, like when City loses to wolves, so in sportsbetting you can't be guarantee you will always win, even if you choose a strong team. How to win in sports betting is not to choose the strongest team but the most ready to compete. You have to analyze the formation and the players who will play before the match, that's what you have to look at and analyze before choose to bet.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cryptocurrency is better than fiat currency? on: October 11, 2019, 04:19:05 PM
Both of them has its own advamtage and disadvantage. It depends on you what to use for certain situations. Crypto is not yet popular to use it anywhere when we buy something so fiat is your best choice. While if we want to send money with a less fee, crypto is the best to use.
Yeah, both have advantages and disadvantages, of course you can't say that bitcoin is better at crypto on everything, and it generalizes everything. in some cases bitcoin is better than fiat, but in some parts fiat also beats bitcoin, as in acceptance, fiat is much more accepted in many places than bitcoin. cryptocurrency is better than fiat? That depends on which point of view you are looking at?
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: October 11, 2019, 03:45:53 PM
Dangers inside crypto investing
People may ask: Should I do invest in the cryptocurrencies by using my life earning and savings? Or should I take a loan out? Since I heard that the returns are so great!”

First off, that is really an extremely horrible idea. Cryptocurrency volatility can kill your pocket and rapidly reduce all your hard-earned investments.

Read : https://paperblockchain.com/what-are-the-dangers-in-cryptocurrency-investing/

We can't deny the fact that investing in crypto currency can easily kill all the money on your pocket, but if you invest it can also double up your money and have a stable and better future. You should invest on bitcoin though the volatility of bitcoin has a negative effect but of course it has an advantages.
Indeed, it is a risk for crypto investment, we know that the price of some crypto or altcoin can go down by more than 50% even some of them die and it could make you bankruptcy. but we know that many cryptos have fantastic increases also, that means you still have a chance to profit, cryptocurrency is not completely dangers. You just need to be good at analyzing, looking for potential coins and buy them. just as simple as that.
60  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will There Comes A Time That All Online Gambling Sites Are CryptoCurrency Based? on: October 10, 2019, 05:34:49 PM
Crypto is the best for gambling. No one willingly wants to do KYC to play gamble on the internet. So, if you choose fiat, you have to go through the KYC procedure. And honestly, every people love to stay anonymous on the internet, so, cryptocurrency is the real solution to make a gambler anonymous and safe. So, day by day all the gambling sites will be based on crypto, which will bring more volume on the crypto market!
This is one reason why adoption of cryptocurrency around the world. There are many crypto gambling sites at this moment and I believe that it will increase year after year. There are many gamblers too who doesn't want to reveal themselves or their personal information so they prefer gambling online rather than going to casinos.

Crypto gambling sites will help the increase of adoption of cryptocurrencies.
That's the advantage of crypto, you don't have to do complicated conditions to deposit and play games. just deposit using crypto and you can play right away. That is proven by some games that have adopted crypto. Fiat will be increasingly steadfast in their use, even though they have a digital version but there are some requirements that players must fill before deposit and playing, and that is not to do that if you use crypto for playing game. I'm sure many games developers will adopt crypto.
