You won't go wrong with BTC and ETH. If you start investing in random coins for the sake of making small profit, you'll eventually lose money instead of winning. My suggestion is to keep accumulating both btc and eth and add Tezos. It's new, It's currently in Beta and the potentials are huge. Don't take my word for it though, go and read the whitepaper.

800% within 4 years isn't quick scheme to me. I think its regular scheme. Whoever want to make 800% within day or week they are on quick rich method. But your method is best with low risk. Most likely you bought bitcoin on dip and sold it on bull market. This isn't not bad idea as well. Finding quick rich method on bitcoin will stupid attempt. Bitcoin able to give regular profit if you have enough patience.

Gold isn't increasing much but it hasn't crashed anywhere close to the amount bitcoin has. Most bitcoin investors I know also buy gold to hedge their investments. Its never smart to put all your eggs in one basket.

Notion of strategy existence in gambling, can give us false understanding and unrealistic sense of security. Gambling technique or systems can be considered true but not tactics nor strategy is adequate here. Most of the time it all comes to "try and error" - pure luck, adding extra ideology to it is potentially dangerous and can bring unnecessary losses. The only way Martingale works is when you have unlimited amount of money. Otherwise, the house edge always wins. It works well for the first few times though. You could get away with profits but if you keep doing it, you are bound to go down with nothing.

I had similar Mantra's as well. I guess if you really experienced a big lost in your gambling habits, I guess this kind of self call will be effective. I lost heavy before and I kept thinking what if I just exited and went home or quit with my money then I would be very very happy the next day.
And now seeing all that big money gone just like that, makes me think that's why I learn to have self control and quit before I experienced that painful and disappointment and regrets again.
