I do escrow for free/tips. I've had ~10 personal txs (does not include lending etc.) on this forum this year, totalling between 600 and 1000 USD. I post details in the "list of honest traders" thread for every tx I make here. Anyone may PM me about escrow. I login multiple times a day (though I had a slow spell in the fall).
Also, I can recommend Garr255 for escrow. I've used him twice, totalling 340 dollars worth of bitcoins.

She's one of my favourite posters. Her lack of tact is one of her best qualities - because she's not out to win a popularity contest, she says things this community sorely needs to hear and inevitably ruffles feathers and bruises egos in the process. People dismiss it as trolling because they don't want to accept that she's speaking the truth, however unpleasant. It's easy to attack the messenger when you don't like the message.
If you want even more insight into the philosophy of the organisation she represents, read Mircea Popescu's blog some time. Just because he's arrogant doesn't mean he's not right about the strengths and weaknesses in the current Bitcoin ecosystem. People need to get over wanting their truths sugar coated, because the truth is that once really big players enter the Bitcoin universe they aren't going to give a damn about people's egos and they're going totally devour those who can't play hard ball.

What blows my mind more than anything about all this vindictive drama is that it concerned such a petty amount. The same thing happened when bitinstant released all that info on Zhou Tong. I'm shocked that we didn't learn anything from that mistake.
I won't be boycotting any companies, but this has been a major disappointment to me. IMHO, it's also not wise to ask the admins to "please delete" the original thread. Some, though not I, would perceive that as a dishonest motion.

Tyler Kurtz is still scamming on #bitcoin-otc and sealswithclubs. On #bitcoin-otc he uses the nicks: bottles maddmax on sealswithclubs his nick is: slick His email is: tkurz2006@yahoo.com (or that is one of his victims) His Dwolla ID is: 812-486-5994 (or that is one of his victims) He ALWAYS originates from an ip in Schenectady, NY similar to 67.242.76.95 he will tell you "you send first" and "my computer froze" to stall you in performing his scam. He puts himself in between sealswithclubs member who are buying or selling btc and bitcoin-otc member show are buying or selling btc by telling each user that he is the other. He attempts to get the actual user to send payment to the other then attempts to get the sell to send the btc to HIS btc address. On Dwolla it's Kurz, not Kurtz. |
