41  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is all wealth? on: May 09, 2024, 01:33:48 PM
That's probably because you haven't tried to live sustainably like growing your own garden where you can get all the stuff you need like food. If you actually know how to live in a farm, you can easily live out of the stuff that you maintain and grow there. Sure it might need money first but when things get going and you make it grow even more for yourself, you probably won't be able to rely too much on money anymore. So yes, in some way, money will never be all wealth, if you're talking emotionally, spiritually, there's more to things than just money to be called wealthy.

I truly believe that consumerism has rotten all our brains. Yes we all need money but some of us consider having luxuries as happiness and that is not genuine happiness. The society and social media is making you think that you need this and that so you end up spending your money however if you really think about it… you do not need all those things and you just need to live a fulfilling life.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do not get discouraged by the current price of Bitcoin on: May 08, 2024, 06:38:54 PM
You don't need to get worry about the price of the Bitcoin if you know every actions you made. Before entering into an investment at the first place there's a plan you made and plot this will be serve as a guide to your journey and path if you lose yourself due to market volatility.
You have to go in to crypto well-equipped by knowledge and understanding of how the market moves. You can not be led by emotions and let yourself decide in very important matters if you are easily affected.
Quote
if you are active trader you must need to get a ride with the market movement if no and you will look forward to the BTC for a long run you don't need to stress your self every time to keep watching in the market again your goal is to take profit to the next ATH and you are not a daily trader you are a holder. Investment in crypto is a battle of strongest hand.

There are so many people who still wants bitcoin and even if it’s going down a bit it will just eventually come back.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beyond Bitcoin: Unpacking the Real-World Use Cases of Blockchain on: May 08, 2024, 02:44:47 PM
The technology is still developing, but do you believe projects like these have what it takes to change how we do things?

Yes blockchain technology will have a wider impact in the future if not perfected right now. My biggest concern is how accessible and easy to use this technology is. Let’s be honest fees are the ones responsible for keeping a project together and the more complicated it gets, the higher the fees are which isn’t really good for the users.

We have a lot to work in but I believe it can be done.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Individual efforts and the progress of BTC on: May 08, 2024, 01:51:47 PM
What do you think the overall situation could be if more countries recognize Bitcoin?

If more countries recognized bitcoin then it would be much easier for a lot of investors to participate in crypto related activities. We will then see individual economic growth which will lead to a global economic growth as well.

I have to say though that it will be best if we can solve the issue of scalability in order to achieve what we are all hoping to achieve in the future.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Render - overrated coin? on: May 07, 2024, 10:40:52 PM
Nobody opinion on render?

I think that if you want to invest in this render that it would be a good idea. It seems to be showing a bullish trend and it is not spiking up too quick which gives me the impression that its investors are real and genuine and that this is not just your usual pump and dump scheme. We can expect this project to be in the crypto for many years to come.
46  Economy / Economics / Re: Take care of your money and learn to save. on: May 07, 2024, 07:58:49 PM
What I've come to believe in this life is that the wicked live longer than those who claim to be good, I agree with you to be seen as a wicked and stingy person or answer the name of a wicked person.
Helping those in need is never bad however you also have to identify your limits as a person. You wouldn’t want to lose all of yourself.Sometimes being greedy and putting yourself first is the right thing to do.

have an uncle (lemme call him that) who has enough to give but even to his wife he act stingy, her people needs help but he prefer to give to a stranger than those ones from the wife's place and I understand him very well because he might have pass through hell before getting all he have so that alone would be difficult to get from him.

What did his wife do to deserve that treatment lol. Above all when I am rich enough I would spoil my family and give them everything they need.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH, accessing them with bitcoin keys? on: May 07, 2024, 07:10:57 PM
I was listening to Mr.  Saylor explain as to why it's important for the founder of bitcoin not to move coins.  It shows that bitcoin was never meant to be something that was built for profit.  However true this is, if coins are moved what are the implications?
I can see this going two ways: people lose their trust or people gain confidence.

Once people sees that the founder is moving his coins, they might wonder what’s the reason and they will end up believing that there’s something wrong with the coin and thus they need to move their coins as well. Another scenario would be people finally feeling more safe and secure upon knowing that the founder still has access to his coins. This will allow people to think that all this time Satoshi has simply just been holding just like a lot of us.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jeremy Rubin coming out of retirement - "You can't deny it's Jeremy Season" on: May 07, 2024, 03:26:59 PM
Let me guess, the AI response bots haven't indexed enough information about BIP119 so they aren't able to reply to this thread.

No one cares about a developer who created the controversial protocol and left the scene when he was questioned. X.com formerly known as Twitter is a platform where drunks come alive to vent their frustration. I think this is what he has done with those tweets, BTW, before being judgemental do think about other aspects as there are tons of articles published about BIP119 in the year 2022 a simple google search can do the work.

The thing is this controversy happened during 2022 and since then the crypto community has grown tremendously and I have seen lots of beginners come in to this forum and I know for a fact that they might not know who Jeremy Rubin is anymore.

To be fair not a lot of things come up with Jeremy Rubin when he is searched.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin ETF good or bad? on: May 06, 2024, 10:12:52 PM
I think the ETFs are only just getting started and I for one wouldn’t be surprised if we see record breaking deposits from all the folks who want the ability to buy into Bitcoin without assuming much risk. The ETFs are a great way to get exposure but a bad way to promote liquidity and freedom with your coins.

I think etfs are a great way to expose a lot of people to crypto and basically ease them into the community. Eventually though I think they might consider throwing away etf and just investing in bitcoin directly as it has plenty of advantages compared to etfs.

Beginners might just want to get into etfs first as they do not want to directly interact and manage with many risks that come with investing in bitcoin.
50  Economy / Economics / Re: Banning of p2p on crypto apps in Nigeria on: May 06, 2024, 09:42:29 PM
Different governments of different nations have different opinions and views on cryptocurrency. You should post this in your local board so you can talk about your government more intricately because a lot of us here do not have context regarding the Nigerian government. Our only reference would be our country thus we can not answer whether your government is doing the thing or not.

51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accumulating Bitcoin or trading Bitcoin which is more wise to do. on: May 05, 2024, 01:25:40 AM
Trading is very difficult to understand, considering the risk that is involve in trading, as a beginner I think is advisable to go into accumulating bitcoin, reason is because if you start with trading you're going to experience a lot of loses. as a new Investor that I'm I don't look at trading aspect because I don't have much knowledge about trading, that is why I prefer accumulating bitcoin than trading, I think is more safer though there is always a risk both in accumulating of bitcoin but not to be compared with trading itself.
I agree that trading is a lot more advanced than just holding bitcoin so if you are a beginner, you probably should start with just accumulating bitcoin to hold. There are too many complexities to soothe out when you decide to start trading like exchange to use, market analysis and a lot more that could make a beginner's head explode.
52  Economy / Economics / Re: Personal Financial Goals vs Government expectations! on: May 05, 2024, 01:10:49 AM
But I think of taxes as a good thing.
It should be good but realistically speaking it is simply not.

There is too much corruption in our government that taxes are simply not being used properly. Instead they are being stored in the pockets of government officials.
Quote
I just wonder how citizens of certain cope with really large taxes to pay.
You should worry more about people that have only started earning a little and immediately the government is taking from them while millionaires have no difficulty evading taxes.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solana price predictions and developement? on: May 03, 2024, 04:44:25 PM
Does solana network ready for huge demand?
They should be.

I can see solana increasing more this year and if they do not solve the problem of congestion then it might just be their downfall. It is not the top coin (yet) so if their network is too congested I can see many investors losing interest and looking at other memecoins. It won’t be hard since there are practically a thousand memecoin out there.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Over the next months meme coin investors will get most rich on: May 03, 2024, 04:26:28 PM
No much knowledge or skills just find meme coins with mc targets wich teams buying up each top of mc and you become rich not just rich but grazy rich Im sure many people Will lose their minds overnight wealthy people Will be created.
It seems easy to say but let us be honest if it was truly easy we’d all be billionaires now.

This method takes some skills and an adequate amount of knowledge which not a lot of people have. Even if it’s “just” memecoins, to enter and exit a market as strategically as possible would be difficult to do. Not to mention you gotta have the bravery of jumping on to these risks.

So let's get ready and Im not Even bothered about btc.
Btc going down? It’s actually a good thing and should be treated as such.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Governs' oppression of bitcoiners may turn against them on: May 03, 2024, 04:14:21 PM
The government could make laws that requires mining firms to report, deny, or block transactions from flagged addresses. Transactions from mixers can be flagged as tainted funds and OFAC can mandate minners to report such transactions. Mixers can be banned and seized by the government claiming that they are used by criminals to promote crimes like terror financing, and drug and arms trafficking. The government can also cook up allegations against decentralized exchanges thereby restricting or criminalizing their services. There are many moves the government can take to fight privacy. Let's just enjoy privacy as it lasts.
The government will do anything to strip control away from our hands. Obviously they want the control all for themselves and their citizens having the ability to conceal that control makes them crazy. It’s not just about whether you are doing something illegal but more of are you plotting something against the government?

If you are an enemy of the state and you are able to enjoy privacy of course they would not like that and instead of hand picking who’s the enemy they just generally restrict everyone.
56  Other / Off-topic / Re: How did you feel when you see your EX? on: May 02, 2024, 10:12:31 AM
To me this has been bordering me for long now a girl you have dated for over  1year or two years finally you guys quite and you see her with another man , no matter we are not longer together for a longer time but I still  feel some how ,this feelings I don't know if am the only one that experience it

No you’re probably not the only one who has felt something seeing their ex. Some would even say that it’s normal especially if what you guys had was something special and extraordinary.

For me I believe that we can never forget about people from the past. Even if we say we’ve moved on, there will always be a part of us that came from that other person and they will always be with us. That is why I think it’s normal to feel something when you see people from the past. Be it regret, love or sadness you just have to accept it and move forward with whatever those feelings are. What you are feeling is valid but it does not mean you should act on it.
57  Economy / Economics / Re: Stagnant Salaries vs. Inflationary Savings Tax on: May 02, 2024, 10:08:43 AM
In short, we need to find ways to increase our income and investing in bitcoin is one of them, not the only way. Many people are well educated or have good businesses, they don't need bitcoin and they still have a very good life without bitcoin.
That is true however I think at this time bitcoin is one of the best investments to have so even if theoretically you are doing well I still think that it can’t hurt if you invest some of your money into bitcoin.
Quote
Bitcoin is indeed a potential investment but it is only for those who can accept high risks because of its volatility. Bitcoin is just a financial market, which means many people will lose money, not everyone will make a profit investing in it. Therefore, investment solutions to increase income depend on each person's preferences and are not advice for everyone.
All investments come with great risks you just need to learn how to manage them. Do not go into any investment without knowledge and a plan.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please, I urge you to buy bitcoin! on: May 02, 2024, 09:52:27 AM
I fear there will be a day when buying Bitcoin...even 1 Satoshi...will involve hurdles.

Well we can imagine that time would come when the demand is crazy high and everyone is scrambling and desperate to buy at least 1 satoshi. Would a time like that really come?

The transaction fees now are crazy, what more if bitcoin is realized by many more people? Hopefully by then we would have figured out a way to stop this madness.
59  Economy / Economics / Re: Money and wealth is Energy know this first on: May 01, 2024, 10:27:33 AM

Still depends though, if you can do the fast gains at a consistent rate but at the same time you make the money from it, I'd take the fast gains because that means that I'll be building wealth much faster.
I mean honestly who would not want to gain wealth at a faster rate? We all want to be rich and we all want to be rich right now. If I had some chance to get rich right this very moment I would take it with no hesitation.
Quote
Patience is definitely the key though, no matter what your pace in investment is, if you don't time your sells and buys in your investments or in times that you do something involving in money then it will all end up with you having nothing but bad trades and bad investments.
We all want faster wealth but greed will only just put us below the land. Especially with holding, it’s really a test of time and patience. You can gain a lot but it won’t be fast so I understand if it can be frustrating at times.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Meme Coins still Catch Up With The Likes of Doge and Shib? on: May 01, 2024, 10:16:38 AM
There are probably hundreds of memecoins circulating out there right now and we only have really at least top 5 maybe ten if you want to push it that we can call profitable or at least a valuable coin to hold. Even if it means not holding for long.

I have no doubts that more memecoins will be released this year but will one really enough to follow up on the success of their predecessors? Memecoins are trying to break the useless stereotype and lean more on to functional coins so we shall see how the scene of memecoins shift.
