42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is NFT? on: November 09, 2020, 08:22:17 AM
I have been watching the term NFT in different projects listed on uniswap but I can't figure out what actually does it mean. There's something like NFT price which is probably greater than the token price. So, what's it exactly? How it is related to the project token?

There are 2 types of tokens

* Fungible ERC-20 and ERC-1400.
* NonFungible ERC-721

The first tokens are those of utility or security and are used for payments, legal processes or financing projects.

NonFungible tokens represent something unique, such as some valuable object, asset or real life services. They are the future ..

This is something new to me this ERC - 721. Though I am familiar with some NFT tokens,  other possible uses are waiting to be develop or discovered.  Saying that they are the future what excites me. Decentraland for example is another good NFT  project which garnered $26M from ICO.

From wikipedia

Quote
Growth and mainstream appeal
Non-fungible tokens made their way into mainstream news when CryptoKitties went viral[10][11] and subsequently raised a $12.5 million investment.[12] RareBits, a Non-Fungible Token marketplace and exchange, raised a $6 million investment.[13] Gamedex, a collectible cards game platform made possible by NFTs, raised a $800,000 seed round.[14] Decentraland, a blockchain-based virtual world, raised $26 million in an initial coin offering,[15] and had a $20 million internal economy as of September 2018.[16]. Nike holds a patent for its blockchain-based NFT-sneakers called ‘CryptoKicks’.[17]

43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler living in England makes a $5M bet on Trump on: November 09, 2020, 08:02:27 AM
The betting figures are fantastic and he may well be on the campaign fund support team for Donald Trump, a bet of 5M which is quite a big deal considering the current odds Donald Trump is a few percent behind Joe Bidden even though there has been no official announcement from the United States electoral authorities. If there is an option for a temporary cashout, it's better to just cashout because Donald Trump's chances of winning are so far that I'm even optimistic that Joe Bidden will announce his victory in public officially. Perhaps before the presidential election, many favored Donald Trump to return to lead the United States in the next five years, given the record that the United States president has always been led by two terms like Barack Obama before him.

This 2020 US Election is very close and they are head to head  on other states. A $5 million bet is too much for me  Cheesy its just like wasting money. Now reports of  election fraud, computer glitches in favor of Joe Biden is surfacing on the net. Me too is exciting of the results but seems Biden is winning already and Trump preparing for lawsuits.  Cheesy Lets see what happens next,, as we watch the happening unfold.
44  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most of us are losing money in sports betting? on: November 09, 2020, 04:41:48 AM
I believe that most of us are losing money in sports betting, but I'd like to know based on what you read and your experience (if you have) the reasons why we are losing. Personally, I've been gambling for years, I'm just an ordinary gambler who can't be too serious with gambling, but I can't deny that I have been losing money more than I win.
Maybe because we are rooting for the team that we like the most, that's why there are low chances of winning. Our preferences for betting in sports should be a high standard like they're dominating the whole league and confident in playing. If we are having a losing streak, there's a mentality that you want to recover those losses and ending up in the same situation, lose again. Sports betting is one of the difficult in gambling, all of the players are professional in the league, they can manipulate the scores if they want to, that's why even if we bet on the best, still loses.

This is another reason that's why.  Wink

But if you are after the winning, then you should bet on winnable team. This could be through thorough research starting from athletes to the whole team performances. Personal preferences is different from winnable team IMHO. I agree that sometimes, even we bet on the best teams still we lose. Games performances/scores changes  unexpectedly.
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: November 08, 2020, 09:17:47 AM

There are questionable calls but when the refs do that, we're all thinking that it's part of the rig or any fixed match.

It really happens even in crucial games and in the finals but I don't think that can be said as rig, a ref can make a mistake too.

I think its more on hearsay because we/many people watch how the game is played but of course we cant deny that in some instances we can say unfair. Also, I consider human error too... I think its too ridiculous for a national games like an NBA to be rigged but who knows. A possibility maybe a player will be offered not to play well in favor of their rival but still its a shallow move.
46  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: November 08, 2020, 08:15:41 AM

Liquidating the privacy coins into fiat cash is one of the biggest barrier to them because they can't stay completely anonymous while using internet at some point they will leave their traces which could be never erasable. And also not much of those criminals doesn't know the existence of cryptos that is why they prefer hard cash over banking transactions.

This is very sound and logical answer. liquidation is number one and no  money trail. Because they are doing suspicious activity, they have to cover their tracks so that they cannot be trace by authority.

I agree with you. Some criminals preferred cash or physical money rather than crypto currency because I believe that some of them have no knowledge in  crypto world and they might get caught with just a wrong move that they will make. This criminals just wanted an easy to use money that is why they tend to always choose fiat for a sure spendable money, anytime and anywhere.

That's another reason, cryptocurrency needs somehow a little knowledge of technology. Most of them prefer old school ways of transaction, that is preferring to use cold cash. Some are also in doubt with technology. But they are evolving and hackers and cybercrime are prevalent and rising where billions of  dollars  are already lost online.
47  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The cure for Covid-19 is right here. on: November 08, 2020, 05:24:49 AM
I think the vaccine am seeing is not the vaccine the government promised us to cure covid-19 within 24 hours. Many people are still in isolation center but their condition is getting worst every day. Some are still doing with the virus despite the treatment they are receiving from the healthcare. I don't think this is the real vaccine for the covid-19. The government is still working hard to provide covid-19 vaccine that will totally cure the virus within a minute.

Before you can have a vaccine the virus must exist from scientific standpoint. To this day it has not been isolated, does not exist.

If anyone really needs help at least 5 things work.

Hydroxychloroquine
Chloroquine
MMS
CDL/CDS
Covid Organic

and 2 maybes:  high dose vidamin C,   food grade hydrogen peroxide   (must be diluted with distilled water)
Do research H2O2 even better than MMS/CDL/CDS

those mention can really help a lot, especially  megadose vitamin C. There are many contigent or companies pursuing the vaccine trial but so far all is still in human trial phase. We know that vaccine cant be develop overnight, but we are racing through time Glad that some countries are on decline of covid cases.

49  Local / India / Re: Do you ever find any scam in the name of cryptocoins, in our country, specially? on: November 08, 2020, 01:35:29 AM
There would be so many scams around which we might not be even aware of. Some of the exchanges ends up saying that they got hacked etc and investors lose money. So, this is also sort of scam only as you are not sure what happened, but you end up losing your money. Below is an example of one of them.

Thanks fort the link, very  informative.

As unsolicited advise, better to trade with the top coins listed on coinmarketcap. Those newly launch especially riding the popularity of Defi lately should be check and scrutinize extensively. Its just like the ICO craze of 2017 where scammers are riding the  the craze. Still DYOR is important.

51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it over for Binance IEO? on: November 07, 2020, 09:29:15 AM
Binance IEO is pure hype. Even how the project is trash as long as it is on the Binance IEO, it will make noise and a good return in *early days* after the IEO has done and it is started to trade on their exchange.
That's why if you notice, even recently added in Binance exchange, it is making pump *most of newly listed*, especially their IEO coins. That's why even you aren't able to join on their IEO, you can still make some alternative way. But remember this is EXTREMELY RISKY.

I fully agree,  most are  hype. You will know its a good project if it stays for longer time where dev are active in development. Whether its IEO, ICO or Defi it has little difference  for me and scammers are taking advantage of those mode  of offerings. Scammers always find ways to  exploit these, that's why its better to do more deeper study of the project.
52  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Philippines Allows Land-Based Casinos to Accept Bets Online on: November 07, 2020, 03:05:39 AM
cool. Wink
This is a proactive move from the Philippine government. If the needs arises,  make some timely decision that can cater the actual needs. This is needed indeed to look more funds and revenues  to augment loses from this pandemic had brought. Looking forward for this booming industry that can attract more  investors and revenues for the government.
53  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading losses on: November 06, 2020, 11:18:22 AM
Some want to increase their BTC holding, and they trade it with other altcoins pairs. Either BTC move up or down, all these altcoins get crushed resulting in a massive loss.

sad  but its happening. It is truly a sacrifice doing these trade to altcoin pair but some also got lucky. But most is not lucky enough and burn their holdings. Knowledge of analysis tools is indeed important, better to invest  time and knowledge on these.
54  Other / Archival / Re: DeFi hyip is over? on: November 06, 2020, 05:08:39 AM

From the beginning of the new DeFi trend, i have been warning to all investors to be aware before fall in trap. Now maximum investors are in trap of DeFi and faced huge losses. You showed a good evidence and i am agree with you about it that DeFi hype is now about to end. DeFi investors should be more aware otherwise they may regret soon.

Defi is the new ICO craze like what happened in 2017. It has new face but same situation, that is to siphon more money from new, and vulnerable investors and trader. Though the concept is good but, is prone to abuse and exploitation. To new investors and alike, just observe first and scrutinize any project you are about to invest. At the end of the day, it is you who will lose your hard earned money, always be careful and vigilant.

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Hunter stop free promoting! We are not Beggars! on: January 28, 2020, 09:35:36 AM
Actually we cannot just stop promoting because we don't even know why it is really happens that you are promoting a projects and there are the payment that we are receiving is not enough for the work that we have done by promoting on it. I know that it is really hard to accept it but this is the reality in the world, sometimes we are not getting paid on what we intent to receive but if you love what are you doing then you will just accept it and find again ways to promote and earn also.

Sometimes we promote becuase we love the poroject. Besides  being a bounty hunter or being paid while replying here in forum is a bonus already. Not all peaople here are for bounty hunting, some are just roaming here to be updated  whats happening on crypto world, whats the latest and also to know more about crypto.
58  Economy / Economics / Re: Trade war Influences on cryptocurrency on: January 27, 2020, 09:14:55 PM
I think these trading wars will positively affect gold and cryptocurrencies. Because of this trade war, people are looking for a safe harbor for their money. And I think the best option for this is cryptocurrency, because we all know that crypto currencies are decentralized, uncontrollable and cannot be confiscated by states and banks.

Since it is decentralized and not controlled by any governing body, investments and money would be safe and unaffected by ongoing trade war between the two nation. In effect, a possible increase in demand for crypto currency might take place during the trade war causing a decrease in supply and might trigger a pump on the price of crypto currency. This might be the possible effect of the ongoing trade war between the two nation as long as restrictions against it would not be implemented in each country.

I do believe bitcoin becomes the alternative opton wherever economic activity is limited. Though the effect maybe indirect, but businessesmen are looking option to circumvent the situation.Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency  poses to solve this situation as a solution to this gap.
