41  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Free Hourly Crypto Price Alerts? on: August 21, 2017, 03:38:09 PM
Not sure about hourly, but you can use IFTTT to get a daily notification / text / email about the price: https://ifttt.com/chain
42  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: (2FA) Two Factor Authentication question on: August 21, 2017, 03:05:29 PM
Apps follow the account, not the phone. You have a mobile phone with a 2FA app, the app is saved to your account, if you have to replace your phone your the app will follow when you upload your account data to the new phone.

If you use a phone that doesn't offer back ups of your data, you could be at risk.

This isn't always true. Google Authenticator does NOT BACKUP YOUR KEYS. If you loose your phone and don't have a backup of the private keys or the app's data, your accounts are lost. The only way to get them back is to recover your phone, or hope that the customer service can help unlock the account.
43  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IS IT POSSIBLE TO MINE ON ANDROID 5.0? on: August 21, 2017, 03:02:21 PM
Honestly it's possible, but you will earn pennies in months and end up shortening the lifetime of your phone with all the heat, plus the electricity cost. Selling the phone would net more profit.
44  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Shorten link on: August 21, 2017, 03:00:43 PM
I *think* shorteners are OK but they can't have a ref link attached. But either way it's better to just post the plain link, as shortlinks obfuscate the destination and it's sort of an internet bad move.
45  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "Sell your account"? Why? on: August 21, 2017, 02:58:42 PM
A lot of the times its hacked accounts (including mine, luckily I got it back before it was sold), but it can also be people who aren't interested in bitcoin anymore and want to make a quick buck off of an old account they have.
46  Other / Meta / Re: 2FA to Active on Bitcointalk Forum (Requested to Admin) on: August 21, 2017, 02:53:43 PM
-snip-

edit: actually I see it uses CAPTCHA now on login, so that is actually a way to protect against bruteforcing.

That is a possible way, but the biggest / best CAPTCHA provider right now is Google, and it requires a JS and a bunch of other nasties the security / privacy concerned wouldn't be fond of. The new forum software will have 2fa (if it's ever released).
47  Other / Meta / Re: How to quickly check who has quoted your message in the forum? on: August 21, 2017, 02:49:57 PM
This is something people have wanted for a while, but unfortunately there isn't an easy way to do it besides what has already been described above. Once the new forum software is the default it will have notifications for quotes, mentions, etc, but for now the best you can do is manually search threads you've been in.
48  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [LIMITED] MSDN Admin Creation New Method on: August 21, 2017, 02:41:55 PM
Is this a blackhat / grayhat method? And I saw lots of people asking for vouch copies that never gave feedback, is that because it takes a while for the method to complete or because they just haven't left feedback yet? (And if you still need a vouch review shoot me a PM, I'm no Legendary member but I'd be happy to help if you want the feedback)
49  Other / Meta / Re: Shouldn't this be considered as a mass referral spam? on: August 20, 2017, 11:47:37 PM
Looks like it is gone now, I can't visit the post.

Those are usually either Emojis or UTF8 Symbols. You can use http://www.iemoji.com for emojis or http://www.utf8-character.info/ for UTF8
51  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: Steam code 3$ for sale on: August 20, 2017, 11:00:50 PM

Which tier of service does this get you? I know there are 4 tiers that include different levels of channels.
53  Economy / Services / Re: Need a school assignment done on: May 29, 2017, 02:02:03 AM
Can you describe your assignment more here? I'd be able to help, as I'm sure many others would be able to too. I consider myself a decent Java dev if needed.

It's $4.99 monthly, $19.99 annually. So about $60/year for the unlimited plan.
55  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How many nodes would it take to catch the network up? on: May 28, 2017, 10:11:53 PM
It would be good to run a node anyway, but it won't do anything to catch up unconfirmed transactions unfortunately. I run a node myself, I'd be happy to help you get one up and running as well.
56  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Can i dig on a router TL-WR1043ND v1 only ? on: May 28, 2017, 09:43:11 PM
Erm... No. Your router costs more than you will ever hope to recover, and will just make it die sooner. It is likely an ARM system, and that is worse than regular CPU mining. I usually encourage small miners, but in this case, your would be better off just selling it. You'd make the same amount back in about 100 years of mining realistically.
57  Economy / Services / Re: [Selling]Whatsapp Bot on: May 28, 2017, 09:29:33 PM
How the bot works ? it working into a vps or someone need to have one account in whatsapp only for the bot ? if i buy the bot how can i run the bot ?
Thanks.
Not OP, but I'd expect that you need a VPS / server / computer to run it on as well as a WhatsApp account for it to use. Where and how you run it would be up to you, depending on what the bot is coded in.
58  Economy / Economics / Re: Idea for Price Stability - Ban Robot Trading on: May 28, 2017, 08:53:58 PM
I think bots are fine. Non-crypto exchanges have bots as well and allow it. I think you are attributing too much of the blame to bots. Plus, if you try to ban them by closing APIs, they will just come back in a more invasive way like web-scraping for exchanges.
59  Economy / Digital goods / Re: AutoBaB - Number #1 bustabit autopilot method. Profit while sleeping! on: May 28, 2017, 08:46:39 PM
So it's an autogamble script? Can I run this on a headless linux server or does it require a browser? Or something else completely?
