41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A hidden gem on cryptocurrency? Checkthis out! It was Rank 400+ Jump to Rank 151 on: February 12, 2021, 03:34:22 AM
I heard of Dent before. I cannot anymore remember whether I even actually bought some during its earliest of days. I also saw how it rose to high spots in terms of market cap. But then Dent was not able to maintain everything. It didn't sustain its position. I am not a user of any of their products so I cannot be sure whether there is something wrong with it. But their fall to 1 sat could speak of a thousand words.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction fee much higher than what I will be sending on: February 12, 2021, 02:59:09 AM
That's terrible. But that has been the trend nowadays because of the price increase. The bull run has also brought up with it very high fees, even unreasonable in your case. 0.0011 BTC just as a fee is really ridiculous.

Can you make conversion within the platform? If you can, you better convert it first to an altcoin with low fee before sending. If you can't convert then you are left with no choice at all. I think your wallet does not allow you to customize fees. So you better just leave your funds there for now while the fees are very high.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I only took two eggs out of the basket! on: February 11, 2021, 02:47:29 AM
There is a sushiswap clone out there that is operating on a parallel network of effereum.  Gas fees for swaps are fractions of a fraction of a penny. Cross chain compatibility for erc20 tokens coming soon.

Did you get your two eggs out of the basket?  Do the needful sirs.

Why trust and go for the clone when you could use the original one? Using the original is much safer. Using the established one is better than using the imitation.

What is that you call the network of effereum? I haven't heard of it.

So this is just a teaser? Could you tell us at least the name of your project and how is it better than what it imitates aside from the fees?
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP - Post Lawsuit Possible Outcomes & Thoughts on: February 11, 2021, 02:12:05 AM
Reason for the post is I understand XRP is not a decentralized coin and the negative feedback around it. With the SEC lawsuit pending claiming Ripple is a currency, I'm looking for insights on the aftermath.

Others are saying XRP is not decentralized but Ripple itself has its own arguments that XRP is decentralized.

SEC's lawsuit is saying Ripple is a security, not a currency as you mentioned.

Quote
Ultimately, I think we can assume if the SEC does win their suit, 2 things can happen: XRP could be deemed untradeable and/or Larsen & Garlinghouse are hit with fines/penalties etc which could diminish the company/coin but possible they stay afloat.

My question for everyone is if they do win their suit, does the coin soar? I do believe there are technological advantages provided by XRP with the transfer of assets and the ability to partner with banks.

There is no need to constantly discuss this issue. There are two alternatives. If he loses the case, it will disappear. If he wins the case, his price goes up perfectly. There is no more than that.

If Ripple loses the case, that would deal a big blow to them but that is a case exclusive in the US. Ripple is operating all over the world.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB reached $100 on: February 10, 2021, 03:49:37 AM
Binance is one of the best for now. I agree with you on this. But I just hope that they will lessen their withdrawal fees a bit. It really hurts to withdraw funds from them. I know that it is based on the mempool but I think even if there is no clogging in the network, the fees is still high. Or at least provide option for the users to withdraw with lower fees if they are not in a hurry.

BNB's price growth is also being pushed by Bitcoin's price rise. Very nice timing.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your opinion on SafePal project and Token future on: February 10, 2021, 03:12:42 AM
I have heard of this all over the internet. There is hype around this SafePal (SFP) project and also their airdrop which was very generous. I guess their referral also helped them greatly in promoting their project. Also, one of the reasons why it seems a very legit project is that it has used Binance as its launchpad. And now it has also passed Binance stringent listing requirement.

Binance itself is having contests regarding SafePal (SFP), giving away several SafePal hardware wallets to the lucky winners. I think there is still growth for this token but you have to be careful. Avoid being greedy. There is a big amount held by airdrop participants for dumping.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will the Ethereum Gas Fee go down? on: February 08, 2021, 01:22:30 PM
Ethereum is still in the process of addressing this problem. The ETH 2.0 package was believed to be bringing with it the solution to this problem. As of now, high fees is still a problem with Ethereum.

As others have already said, we are just awaiting for the implementation of EIP 1559. This is said to be the one final solution to the problem of Ethereum users regarding gas. I hope this will really do the trick.

48  Economy / Gambling / Re: Luckyfish banning unnecessarily for whatever reason. on: February 08, 2021, 12:11:49 PM
They have rules for their players to follow, if you did not follow it, then it's just right that you will be ban, however, I believe it's just on the chat, you are not ban in gambling with the site so it's not really a big problem. Also, I think that the ban is just temporary, unless you are doing the same offense over and over again.

Rules to follow? And does any of their rules ask this user not to say 'good luck' to fellow members or he will be banned? This isn't funny bud, but ridiculous at luckyfish's end and I have faced such consequences on another website where an arrogant moderator came out and banned me for nothing, and when I yelled at him for that, he started accusing me of multi-accounting and other accusations which I never committed. Op should quickly leave that site where they are not being respected as a customer.

Try posting 'good luck' on bitcointalk and your post will surely be deleted by one of the moderators in a matter of minutes or hours. Whatever that means, it might be considered a spam or troll in many platforms or chat boxes. OP should have observed that. I think the platform won't ban immediately anybody who is posting just a mere 'good luck'. Previous posts such as 'congrats', 'that's nice', 'thank you', etc must have already been deleted.

We can't make a judgement here without hearing the side of the site, besides, this is just a ban for trolling, nothing serious since no money was taken. We don't know if there are still words before that but the mods are saying he was trolling, so it's there rule, they will be followed.

What I'm sure of is that there are gambling sites whose chat boxes are strictly monitored for spams. And one-liner messages such as 'good luck', 'congratulations', etc are considered spams by many of them.

Yes, there is nothing serious indeed. That was just a temporary ban on the chat box. No money lost. OP has learned his lesson about the rules of the site as far as its chat box is concerned. It is his decision to stick to the site or not. There are so many options out there.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Acquiring bitcoin: "Buy" vs "Convert" on: February 08, 2021, 04:27:23 AM
I prefer to use convert. They are all money and currencies. They're all equal on that aspect so there must be no buying strictly speaking. There is just conversion. Just like when you convert USD to NGN to Yen to Pound to Euro, USD to Bitcoin is also conversion. It is not like you buy stocks or gold or something.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO YOU BELIEVE BITCOIN BLACK WILL BE LISTED ON TOP CRYPTO'S on: February 08, 2021, 01:51:18 AM
First question have you heard of Bitcoin black?

Nope. There are probably only a handful of people who have heard of it prior to you posting that in here.

Quote
If no,BTC Bitcoin black is a new crypto currency that's about to change the world by its storm

That's a very hollow statement. Rather than making such worthless statements, tell us what particularly is with this shitcoin that will change the world.

Quote
My take is Bitcoin black will be listed on top crypto, we just need bigger investors,a petition was going on change.org.

A petition is not needed if the project is good. If the project is a shit, then great efforts are needed.

52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which 'cryptos' do you suggest I should invest in for a duration of 3 to 5 month on: February 07, 2021, 02:49:53 PM
Seeing how cryptocurrencies have been soaring, I have decided to make a bold move and invest a quarter of my total capital in cryptos. I am looking forward to invest for the duration of 3 months (maximum for 5 months).

Looking at past performances of various cryptos, I have decided to invest in 1inch, Bat, Atom, Sushi, ADA, wave and some in Bitcoin.
Do you think my choices are prudent?
Which 'cryptos' do you suggest I should invest in for a duration of 3 to 5 month?

Viketo Sumi (Armani123)

Why am I not seeing the best choices in crypto? I am not saying your choices are bad choices. They are all good and they all seem to have a bright future but I think if you have to choose which crypto investments are the best you should start with Bitcoin and then Ethereum next. Only after picking this two should you consider other choices such as Waves, Litecoin, ADA, etc.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Nominex move to defi on: February 07, 2021, 02:26:11 PM
I read on their official telegram, that they changed their token to defi and will be listing on uniswap in the near future. I think these tokens appear on the market at a legitimate price. what about your opinion?

There are a lot of projects that move from one niche to another, from one fad or trend to another, from what is originally planned to what is popular, etc. I don't like it personally but that is the call of the market.

Some projects which were holding ICOs in the past end up doing something else totally different from what they promoted initially. They adjusted because the money is there and the possibility of making success. Nominex is just one of them.
Nominex exactly did the same thing despite caring their accounts, most members weren't agree with their sudden changes and you can guess what happens. Anyway, conversion of NMX into DeFi certainly great move yet don't how long they keep their words and their token price.

DeFi is the new trend in cryptocurrency today so a struggling project like Nominex is probably thinking that joining the trend will keep them afloat in the market.

Nominex needs to offer something new and innovative in terms of DeFi products or else they would still find it hard to gain footing in the highly competitive DeFi market. There are already so many DeFi projects today. Nominex is already a little late to join the game without bringing something unique and impressive.
54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC back to All time high ..did you buy ? on: February 07, 2021, 02:06:27 PM
Nope, Bitcoin did not return to its ATH. The last ATH of Bitcoin was $42,000. The price of Bitcoin in this latest increase was only $40,000 plus.

I did not buy Bitcoin anymore. I don't have extra money for some more sats for now. Perhaps in the months to come if my savings will allow, I will add more sats in my portfolio.

My plan is just to continue to HOLD until such time that Bitcoin is already the main currency of the world.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long can this BULL run last?? on: February 07, 2021, 01:40:09 PM
Nobody exactly knows until when this bull run lasts. If somebody tells you when, don't believe him. That's just another self-proclaimed expert who knows nothing.

If you are after short-term profit, sell when it is already making you big profit. And then patiently wait for the correction for buying back. But that is hard to do in real life so I would rather choose hodling for long-term.

I am not an expert. This is just my suggestion.

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Long, Short or Hodl for LTC? on: February 07, 2021, 12:50:17 PM
Don't rely too much on TA right now. Surprises are happening both in Bitcoin and altcoins.

I am in favor of hodling LTC. The price of LTC at $161 is still very low. It is still considered an undervalued altcoin. LTC is Bitcoin's bronze so I think the future of LTC is great. It will be making a new ATH a few months from now.

With the great help of Bitcoin's price increase LTC might reach $200 days or weeks from now.
Yes, it's still quite inexpensive if you really are looking to the market. There's still more for Litecoin but for those who are holding it already, you need to be patient.

That has always been the key with cryptocurrency, patience. Without it, you will sell either with very limited profit or with a loss. Patience is always the key. If you have Litecoin and you decided to make some profit from it, trust that it will give you just that. But Litecoin is not a special altcoin. It is one of many old trusted coins which will still experience dumps. So just be patient during the dumps and wait for the bullish season. It will come.

60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Gold Could be Next Bitcoin on: February 05, 2021, 01:57:07 PM
Great that this is not a financial advice. Otherwise, this is going to be one of the worst financial advice.

But first, who is this Sathosi that you are talking about? Is this another faketoshi? Or is this the man behind Bitcoin Gold? If you cannot even name the Bitcoin inventor right then you are definitely not in the position to claim that Bitcoin Gold is the next Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not going to leave so there is no need for a replacement.
