41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin may likely pull back to 35k on: May 04, 2022, 10:45:12 AM
Things are looking dire at the moment which is why lots of people are predicting the fall of btc back to 35k like you or for others, 28-30k areas. Which are all valid speculations. Though, I had my buy orders set and filled at 37K+ both on spot and on leverage. Will DCA or sell depending on the movement of the market. But for now, I do not see it going further down yet since in my perspective the market is still pretty undecided. I do hope though that we only go up from here on.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is your bitcoin hero (excluding Satoshi)? on: May 04, 2022, 09:12:08 AM
Quite embarrassing to admit but I really have too little to no knowledge about the people being mentioned except for satoshi. So If I had to mention a bitcoin hero for me then I would say my best friend that introduced me to all this and changed my views about crypto which were mostly negative since what I read about it online are just pop ups that say bitcoin is used by criminals for laundering and other criminal activities on darkweb.

Another would be the very first ones that bought/invested or traded bitcoins for other things like that guy who exchanged 10k bitcoins for two pizzas. These people were the ones that paved the way for bitcoin and has contributed a lot to what it is today.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ever heard of this "buy at dip and be rich in the future" on: May 01, 2022, 03:32:30 PM
Look, I am not gonna go and talk crap nor judge you. Instead, I'll guve you an advice since I too have been un the same situation in the past. One thing you should consider next time is that it is hard to chase bottoms. So only invest what you can afford to lose. Another would be to invest only on thise projects that you yourself have researched about a lot and has conviced you that it is a good investment. Another would be to bot invest on too many assets specially as a beginner. Another is to not invest all the capital you have; always keep extra for DCA purposes and for sudden opportunities. And the last one would ve to cut losses when you are already 30-40% down on not so sure coins, only DCA on good coins that has really proved their worth in your eyes after good research.

Now if these are too much work for you, reduce your coins in your portfolio to a comfortable number where you can keep track on all news and happenings about them. Of course it will be tedious but you can't expect to have good profits with half assed efforts. Investing just because of hype is just another act of gambling. You'd be better of heading to some gambling sites then if you don't want to put in the efforts. I hope you get to read this so it can help you because I, back then would've loved to see this type of advice.
44  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Did the FDA actually approve a FUTURE covid “vaccine”? on: May 01, 2022, 01:53:17 PM
When posting news or articles that are of great importance and can affect important decisions of readers, it would be nice to really study the news or article that one wants to share because it can be very misleading. In fact, I myself was a bit counfused and have to read and search again. Although it is everyone's responsibility to check the facts for themselves, not everyone does this. Anyway, just a reminder. I hope nobody takes offense.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First African country adopts Bitcoin as official currency on: May 01, 2022, 01:06:25 PM
While I love to gear new countries adoption the use of bitcoin and other currencies as a crypto enthusiast myself, I wish that these countries have already made plans and counter measures that would support itself when their bitcoin adoption fails so they can still support it and would not have to resort to abandoning the thought of bitcoin adoption. Of course to keep the reputation of bitcoin in a positive light without hurting their own citizens. Half-assed planning and decisions will only do temporary good for both Bitcoin and the country that is supporting its adoption.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More regulation on crypto developers, altcoins and exchanges on: April 30, 2022, 05:23:07 AM
I guess for us crypto enthusiasts having seen the governments trying to milk us all over the years imposing unreasonable taxes or compromising our right to privacy and all makes us see any type of regulation as something bad. It would be better to be open minded about this a bit because we really cannot avoid regulation and that is an unchangeable fact. But beyond this reason, there is just no such thing as absolute freedom, one way or another there will be limits for if none the world would've long gone into sht. Only thing that us, crypto enthusiasts can do is to try and and adapt to these regulations and try to take advantage of the benefits that it may bring since there sure will be some while hoping they do not overstep boundaries that shouldn't be overstepped.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No condition is permanent in crypto on: April 30, 2022, 03:54:25 AM
Same Old feeling  Grin

When the Bull market comes it always feels like it's here to stay and many ends up believing that there is no such thing as a bear market.

When the Bear market comes everyone feels like it's over for crypto and no Bull market is coming again, maybe because got tired of holding on and on.

In the crypto space no condition is permanent, get ready for both sides because they are inevitable.

Indeed that is the case, and I'm afraid that the ones that easily get rekt at these sudden switches in trends are the newbies in this industry. What's even more saddening is that these losses can be prevented by even the most basic knowledge about this industry or movement of its market like demand and supply, support and resistance and more. Heck, even just being aware with the news can help you somehow avoid some dips.

If only newbies prioritize knowledge more than profits and try to control their greed and other emotions when investing, it would have made them tons of profits. But then again, it is pretty rare to see newbies that act like this. Even I am guilty with making the same mistakes as most of the newbies out there. To my defense tho, when I started out in this industry knowledge about bitcoin and all were pretty scarce and hard to find.
48  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 30, 2022, 02:23:52 AM
mostly the whole 2nd quarter is a none responding month meaning even till June we cannot expect a good movement guys , I have seen this scenario almost yearly and at least every After having year.
so best to check this the occasion after 2nd quarter as mostly ? 3rd to 4th quarter is the benefiting month and the Hyping season .
I may not take this month as profitable ? though in the beginning of April price reached 48,000 again.

With all the crap that's been happening in our world, I expect may to really cause a dump. I could be wrong but there definitely will be a significant move in may. Usually, I dump in may and walk away then wait for better market conditions to buy. Of course except for btc and a few selected altcoins that I really like or the ones that are staked or on yield. But hey, that's your take and I respect that. I just prefer to be more cautious now than in the past. Still awaiting for June though because if market conditions are good by then, I might repurchase some alts that I have let go of or add more to the ones I already have.
49  Economy / Economics / Re: What should be a good ROI for a startup? on: April 29, 2022, 11:01:16 AM
Businesses are never easy, specially for the ones that have capitalize on a single trend. But yes, even those that have great products or services still fall short at times due to lack of experience or perseverance itself, and even when you have all these, you can still fail on a business depending on a wide variety of reasons. And about ROI, I myself wouldn't suggest any numbers because again, there are a lot of variables to consider when doing a business. Best option would be to just adapt to changes I guess and have at least good enough reserves left to support your business on bad years.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Move-to-Earn (M2E) tokens on: April 29, 2022, 09:54:51 AM
I have heard quite a few over the past year. At first I was hyped with almost every app or project that has mentioned the move to earn concept be it crypto related or not. But as time went by, I have realized that most of these move to earn apps aren't really that much worth the effort. I mean seriously, earning just small cents for 10k+ steps? seriously? lol. But in all honesty though, it is quite a fun motivation for being fit. Plus the new ones nowadays that are integrating NFTs on their move to earn projects are quite interesting as well like what OP mentioned "STEPN" and the other one I heard about which is "Dustland."
51  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 29, 2022, 09:06:30 AM
Bitcoin has been moving between those levels for some time and the market lacks the strength to break away from them, but at the same time there is not much of a chance for the price to get lower because institutional investors will load on all the bitcoin they can if the price drops too much, so we are trapped in a limbo from which the price cannot escape and the more time it passes in which we are under those circumstances then the more difficult it would seem for some people that we can breakaway from those levels.

Indeed. The price is trapped in these ranges and I assume it will be at least till the end of this month or the first week of May. I am assuming that just like in the recent years, the month of May will be the month that would make us see more action in the market. Hopefully though, not an extreme downside. But yes, this is very likely to happen. Keeping my portfolio strict at the moment only holding assets that are very significant in my views and have prepared stablecoins just in case I need to DCA on these coins I currently hold.
52  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin continues to decline, what causes it? on: April 27, 2022, 01:48:02 PM
There are a lot of things going on with the world right now which could be the main reasons as to why bitcoin has been on the decline for a long time now. What's keeping my hopes up though is that there aren't massive crashes that reaches as low as the 33k area yet. And so I am hoping that the next drop will not go as low as 36k. My buy orders are at 37500 but sadly, wasn't triggered. A drop is still coming though, so I'll just have to adjust depending on how btc moves by then. Wishing it bounces up after a short dip.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New York State Assembly passes ban on new BTC mines that don't use green power on: April 27, 2022, 12:24:07 PM
Well, that's just how it is. When anything blocks the personal interests of people or organisations that have power and influence (mostly wealthy people or group of people that have great influence and control over banks and governments). Heck, some great or innovative ideas that can solve critical problems of our world today are even ignored or suppressed because of these people's greed and personal interests. Disgusting.
54  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Anti-vaxxers now drinking their own urine on: April 27, 2022, 11:43:39 AM
Lol, I don't even know if I should be laughing or be worried about where the human evolution is heading now. Instead of going forward we seem to ba going backwards. This is madness and very misleading although might be quite hilarious, if it happens to someone I know or care about specially close friends and family, it'll be a nightmare trying to change their views.

That's how the medical establishment felt about some goofy so-called 'doctor' who had this crazy idea that unsanitary conditions in a hospital contributed to infection.

After reducing the rate of sepsis down to near zero in his ward by asking the medical staff to wash their hands, Ignaz Semmelweis was lauded by his peers as a great hero of medical science.  Just kidding; they had him committed to a mental institution where he was beaten by the guards and died from an infection of a wound he received during the assault.

Dude, you are literally comparing sanitation and cleanliness to urine consumption. Are you sure you're convinced with your own comparison? Try puting yourself at my end and I tell you such argument. What would you think? Everyone has their own view and mine is not in favor of urine consumption and by your response I believe you agree to urine consumption. That's your decision and I respect that. Hope you'd respect mine as well.

The problem is that several tests are needed to deem some remedy to be effective to the majority. That doctor's case is sad and unfortunate it is what it is. If people accept just about any remedy made out there the consequences would be fatal. Don't hate on skeptisism, if not for it human medecine nevee would've advanced to this point.

You are missing the point.  Completely!  My point is about thoughtless rejection of unorthodox ideas.

On the urine thing I won't even bother to put forward any hypotheses about biochemistry and physiology which might apply because they would almost certainly go right over your head scientifically and it would be a waste of time.

Again, I don't drink my own urine (or anyone/anything elses'), have no plans to, and am not suggesting it to anyone.  I simply don't reject the utility or effectiveness for certain conditions out-of-hand without research, and have not done the research.

Reading back, I admit I really did misunderstood your message, apologies brother. I just couldn't quite wrap my head around the idea since some people do drink urine and have seen it with my own eyes either for some religious beliefs or as a traditional remedy for some ailments. Maybe that's why my thoughts immediately jumped into direct consumption.

But yes, I do believe that any possibility should be looked at and studied and if it does give out significant results, then there are lots of ways to remove impurities or any unwanted substances from whatever remedies are there by then, be it urine or not.
55  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The Role Of Parents In The Chaos Happenings In The Society. on: April 24, 2022, 02:09:28 PM
Parents are the Earthly God of their children and they take responsibility to provide, promote and protect their children from every evil or harm. It is the duty of the parent(Father and mother) to train their children so that they will be useful to them and the society, when you fail to give your children good education, good parental guidance, upbringing, love and care, you will be blame if they turn nuisance tomorrow. Looking at our society today, are parents making children a blessing or curses in the society?
Indeed parents play a huge role towards the growth of their children and how these children will become in the future whether they can be productive citizens that can help the country prosper or become liabilities that drags the country down. I do not agree though that children needs to have the obligation to be useful to their parents. If they decide to be of help to their parents to return the love and care that their parents have given to them, then great, if not then parents should be just satisfied and proud that they have raised their children well enough to be able to survive by themselves even when they as parents are unable to support their children anymore. (For those that might be wondering, I am a parent myself and I am also a type of son that returns the love and care that my parents have given me and will continue to do so to make sure they are well and comfortable until their last day here on earth; to make them feel how thankful I am to them for not aborting me and nurturing me all these years being patient and loving)

But, the problem about this is that blame can also be pointed out to the environment and the poor management of leaders within the country. Jobs are lacking, people who have some livelihood are being oppressed, farmers being rid off of their rights for their land or produce and so much more. Yes, family planning is also an issue and the very own lack of education of the parents that makes poverty an inescapable chain that most people use to justify wrongdoings and all. We can go on all day about these issues like the misconceptions and the tradition that also influences parenting bla bla. . but it won't change the fact that at the end of the day, parents regardless of culture and tradition, are responsible for whatever their children become in the future. If you love your children, you will not only do your best but whatever it takes just to make sure that you give them at least the very basic needs they have and enrich their minds and hearts with morals and wisdom that will guide and strengthen them even after you are long gone.
56  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 24, 2022, 01:37:42 PM
~
This indeed can naturally be the case. That is, if we base on traditional ways of how we deal with bitcoin in the past. Right now though, it has proven to be more difficult to see long term direction of bitcoin due to a wide variety of variables we see nowadays. I even am losing confidence in my indicators after a few wrong moves. Maybe it's just because I ain't that well versed in trading yet. But the main thing I am really banking on right now is the fact that most miners are gon go hard on buying when BTC approaches the price range 33k-35k. So there can still be time to decide by then whether the conditions look bad or getting better. Anyway, thanks for the insight. I appreciate learning new things every now and then.
57  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should I invest? on: April 24, 2022, 12:44:20 PM
~

I agree, and this is true if an investor plans to just buy and leave it for a couple of years. But if an investor has a bit of spare time or can look every once in a while at the market or anything about crypto at least twice a month, top 20 altcoins are good. But, if a person has lots of free time, start up projects are the way to go. Shitcoin hunting is a good way to maximize returns. There are risks yes, so just like what you said, I wouldn't recommend it for beginners. But with enough time on one's hand, the risks reduce because there are knowledge available everywhere on the internet. And with this knowledge one can make better trade plans or investment plans, good entry and exit points and portfolio diversification plus management. What it all comes down to is a person's willingness and how much they want to succeed in this industry. For the op, it is best to determine first his plans about his venture in this industry and how much time can he set for his crypto journey.
58  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 23, 2022, 12:50:07 PM
I don't know about you all but I for sure am expecting another downside direction in the short term before going for another retest on the 44k-45k area. This isn't a financial advice or anything of the sort and isn't something that anyone out there can also tell for sure so trade at your own risk. Anyway, having said these I have already opened a long position on leverage at 37,700-37,800k if it gets picked up good and if not, then still okay. There can be good scalps within the shorter timeframes anyway, so for my big trade I am going to be patient and wait.
59  Economy / Economics / Re: Where should I invest? on: April 23, 2022, 11:28:49 AM
Bitcoin would always be a good investment, at least till the next 5-10 years at least. Just that you have to look at that long of a time frame, and not at weeks or months, so it's really going to be a long trip if you start investing in Bitcoin (and in all honesty, all investments take time to grow). Other coins would be better options in the short term I think, their growth rates are a lot bigger in the short term if you were able to pick off a good coin out of all the thousands of coins out in the market. It's gonna be hard though so be prepared to lose a lot imo.

This only applies to people that have huge capital at hand to invest. If we compare the potential earnings of bitcoin to other altcoins out there or to staking options that are currently available, any person can distinguish how much advantageous altcoins and staking them are compared to investing on bitcoin. The only thing needed here is a lot of effort in studying and creating investment plans to achieve a better portfolio of course. If a person really decides to take this seriously, there is no reason for anyone to not really be able to earn in this industry, there are lots of possibilities out there that are available. A person can even turn towards NFTs if they have talents in art or are collectors. Heck, you don't even need talent to earn in the NFT space. All you need is the right amount of knowledge and resourcefulness which are not impossible to achieve nowadays when all information are freely accessible on the internet. Main point is that one way can't work with everyone and that knowledge is very vital in earning rather than assets alone.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be Cautious and take Caution. on: April 23, 2022, 10:07:39 AM
I appreciate the thought of warning everyone here about such threats. I just hope you make your post easier to read next time took me more time than usual to actually digest the thought of your post. You may have been in a hurry or something or are preoccupied while posting so it's understandable. Just make it better next time.

There are a huge number of scammers out there waiting for any opportunity to rise so they can capitalize on any mistake of unexpecting people. Be it generosity, carelessness or whatever. This is even more true in this industry that we are all currently in which is why people here should be more vigilant with their safety. This industry after all has had a lot of scams and hacks recorded ever since I can remember.
