They've been doing good and it's really nice to see them winning against a strong team like the Mavs despite their struggles in the first half, they managed to fix it and ended up winning the game. I really hope to see more of these kinds of play by the Lakers and since Westbrook is out, they have been winning much more than they have him on the team. Now they really need to work harder and better to take care of their physical health because they are a few games away to steal that number 10 spot which might be their ticket to convert it for a playoff spot.
Yes this is true! I believe, LeBron + AD, one completes the other!

They have already won 3 games in a row.
Let's see if he can maintain this performance, tomorrow the Lakers will play against the Grizzlies, it's a strong team, although the Lakers, incredible as it seems, can manage to beat the Grizzlies, but for that to happen, the best players need to be on fire .

I hope the Lakers can reach the playoffs in this season, I even imagine, the Lakers can perform better in the playoffs compared to the regular season.

When it comes to football,it is always Europe. For Asia right now it is cricket in my view, because most of the countries have cricket teams and few are the best in the World. Football is slowly making its way into the countries and infrastructure were getting developed. The importance cricket have got is high, and now people have begun to consider football and other games. This makes better future and good players emerging out of Asian countries too.
Yes, in fact Europe has an impressive structure and there are always the best teams in the world.
To be more specific, I believe that to better clarify, some countries in South America (mainly Brazil), are a "granary", and export several players around the world, mainly to Europe.

But with the performance we have seen from some countries in the last world cups, it is clear that football is becoming popular, in Africa, the Middle East and especially Asia, the increase in quality and performance that some countries have had in the last cups is completely clear, year after year, they are improving and evolving!

A very close game. I think Coach Kidd should think about making Luka Doncic take those long rests. It seems like he is having a hard time heating up after being benched.
Anthony Davis stepping up his game on the offensive end. That's good news for the Lakers team and this winning streak must continue if they want the playoffs or the play-in tournament.

2/4 on my super early games bet.
Bucks won by 3 points, just enough to cover my -1.5 bet.  Cheesy Giannis didn't play but as I said, they still have a lot of talents on that team. Jrue Holiday stepped up.
The Nets lose but only by 2 points, that could've been a big underdog win.
Mavericks lost too by 3 points.
Bulls won in a blowout.

Next, late games.
Oklahoma City Thunder - Sacramento Kings - Sacramento Kings (-2.5)
Denver Nuggets - Los Angeles Clippers - Denver Nuggets (-1.5)
Yep, it was a great game!
I liked the performance of both teams, but the Lakers missed several shots from 3 point shoot.
Overall I thought it was a good game, Luka + Irving I believe made a great duo, but LeBron + AD was sensational, they together almost reached 60 points (combined) and even Schroder and Vanderbilt helped the Lakers too!

The final Nuggets v Clippers period has begun (is anyone else watching?)
Whoever bet on the Clippers must be happy lol
LAC closed a significant gap in a short time, and I was convinced that the Nuggets would win easily, once again I was wrong lol

Apparently the LAC trio (Kawhi + Westbrook + PG) are having an interesting performance, let's see if they can stay at that pace and maybe lead the Clippers to victory against the Nuggets!

Lakers vs Dallas turns out to be crazy, Lakers down 27 points in this game, but they are in control of the 4th quarter, with James and Davis leading the way, but the Mavs keeps fighting back and so it's a back and forth game.

It will be the biggest comeback and no team has made it when down 27 points or more.

So let's see if James can pull this one out again in history for him.
it was a great game!
The difference that AD makes in the Lakers is totally clear, together with LeBron, I believe that one complements the other, I almost forget, but lately, Schroder has been helping the Lakers in some games.

I quickly looked at the stats/statistics - Mavs vs Lakers game...
The Mavericks were very lucky, as the Lakers only had a 17.6% success on 3 point shoot, while the Mavs had 40.8%

Oh, by the way, I liked Kyrie Irving's performance in this game, he scored 21 points, 11 rebounds and he played 38 minutes in that game!
405  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does this help you win when you're gambling? on: February 26, 2023, 10:55:30 PM
Well... I confess that I don't know if there is a precise answer to what you asked...
But I imagine that this may be related to the player's mentality, honestly, I believe that this could help, but on the other hand it may not have an effect, I believe that this is a bit relative and in a way it can help some players and maybe others no..

Well, a factor that I also imagine can have an effect, is because you are playing without having any pressure, because, most of the time, most bettors/players, when they put in their mind that they need to win, this could get in the way. them, because I have no doubt that this will generate pressure and stress the player
ps: I imagine this doesn't only apply to gambling/poker, but to many other sports as well!

The eastern conference is getting a breather with the loss of KD. I don't think Brooklyn can sustain its ranking and will soon get replaced by the other teams. In the west though, it is getting tighter. Phoenix, the Lakers, and the Mavs are getting reinforced.

I really believe that KD, Booker, Ayton, and CP3 can establish great chemistry. They are now the deadliest shooting team and are a real force to be reckoned with if they stay healthy. I am so excited to see these top teams playing against each other in the playoffs. And how the underdogs Sacramento Kings perform in the playoffs.
I'll be honest... I confess that I'm looking forward to seeing the Suns team completely "overhauled" along with Kevin Durant.
Sometimes I keep imagining that this time the Suns will be able to have their dreamed first league title.

Well, if not this time I believe that soon they may have a good chance of being champions, well, I don't know, but I'm looking forward to it happening (or not happening...)

The Miami Heat still can't seem to find a way to win, so I think staying away from this team is the right thing to do for now. Their next game will be against the 76ers, who lost today. I'm pretty sure they'll bounce back strong, resulting in a third losing streak for the Heat.

It was a tough loss for the Nuggets. I thought they would at least provide some excitement, but they were dominated throughout the game. They only won one quarter, which was the last quarter, but we consider it as garbage time since Memphis had already secured the win. Let's wait for their next game, they might bounce back with a big win.
Well, I don't know, I believe that the Heat can be a big bet in the near future, I believe that some adjustments are necessary.
In the game between Heat and Hornets Love scored 13 points, not bad... I believe that soon he will be able to improve even more and help Miami in other close games.

Anyone watching the Lakers vs Mavs game?
This being a very competitive game, I was convinced that the Mavs would easily beat the Lakers, but that is not happening.

The continent of Asia is not that bad with countries at all. It is also good that a number of countries from Asia are directly admitted to this tournament. Europe is of course the strongest continent and that will not change. It's just a long way off. In 3.5 years the entire composition of a team can change completely and I think that will happen with some teams. Belgium seems to me to be a good example of this. It is a pity that Belgium and Germany did so poorly at the last World Cup, they still have a lot of potential and had a great crop in recent years.
Europe is still a reference in world football and I believe that will not change.
South America has always had a few countries that are excelent teams, Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay, and I believe this will remain so for a long time.

Regarding these countries that you mentioned, Belgium for me was one of the countries that most evolved in football, I believe, when Belgium eliminated Brazil in the 2018 World Cup, several countries began to look at Belgium with different eyes, because she managed to show the world that she has a good team and that she can improve in the near future

Well, those were golden times, for that year it had not been born yet, but the way they describe it sounds like it was a very good football demonstration, now football is going in another direction, I don't know, but I think that before football had In another sense, it was more focused on team plays, now there are many stars, each country develops many players who are almost geniuses and the countries that have been powers since the start of the World Cup have always had the same relevance, we cannot Denying that some teams have also become powerful, football in general has improved, and that is remarkable.
Yes, you remembered a subject that was not previously discussed.
I also believe that football these days has changed compared to football in the past.
Nowadays, it is not just football that is involved, but there are other aspects that are also used, for example publicity/merchandising, several top players, from time to time appear on TV, participating in some commercial of products or other things like that.

Unlike football in the past, where basically the main objective is become a winner.
Every World Cup we see something new. In this world cup as we got to see the world cup trophy in the hands of the best Lionel Messi in history, it is very lucky for our generation. We expect to see more innovations in the next World Cup, and everyone wants the new team to make a big splash and take home the next World Cup.
I have no doubt, in the next World Cup we will have several tools and improved technology! Especially when it comes to an extremely significant and important event that is the World Cup.

Oh, I almost forget ... get ready guys, because I'm sure that several teams will be prepared for the next World Cup, and I have no doubt that some small and unknown teams will surprise many people!

The Hornets spoiled my parlay for the night. Bad news for the Bucks as well as Giannis left the game with a knee injury. They were able to get the win though. Warriors and Suns also took home wins with the end of the Suns game getting pretty chippy between players as Chris Paul did his annoying thing.

Was nice to see Kevin Love playing for the Heat but he missed all his shots so his first point for the Heat will have to wait.
Apparently, that Cavaliers team that was champion in 2016 literally disintegrated with the Kevin Love exit.

By the way, you guys are not alone, I confess... the Hornets also spoiled my bets.

Soon, we will have the game between Heat and Hornets, I believe it will be an interesting game, and mainly, let's see if Love will score his first points for the Miami Heat.

With CP3 capabilities, yup, if he will maintain that kind of vision inside the court, adding KD will give him more options to set the play,
we all know how deadly both Booker and KD when they have an open look to take the shot.

CP3 can maximize them with Ayton inside who is also a good threat when receiving a ball
inside, the good thing with them is they are also capable of running and make a good defense,
we will all see how they will adjust to one another.
Well, I confess, I did not remember this opportunity.

The Suns can become a deadly and dangerous team... They have a great and experienced PG (CP3), they also have one of the best SF in the NBA (Durant), Booker, he's a young player and day after day he is evolving, And finally, the Suns have Ayton, he's still young and I have no doubt he has a bright future ahead of him.

If the Suns players get chemistry with each other, no major player on the team is injured during the season (especially CP3, who has a frequent history of injuries) I dare say, the Suns have a good chance to reach the WCF or even play in the NBA finals Again
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 24, 2023, 10:11:52 PM
Are you inferring that Chris Paul is the issue on the Suns in the past?  Dude is arguably the best pure point guard in the league still.  One of the smartest basketball players I've seen in a long time.  If the Suns get dropped it's not going to be because of theor point guard play.
Well, commenting on this post too...
CP3 in the past was an excellent player, worthy of being an allstar, but he has been getting older, he is 37 years old.
One thing I would like to comment on is his health/genetic, he is already a player prone to injuries, I believe that is his biggest negative point.

On the other hand, CP3 is a very experienced player, I have no doubt that he can guide the team to the victory (both, regular season and playoffs).

It would be insane for the Suns to win this NBA season.
CP3 would receive his first ring and will also bring the Suns their first championship title.

I'll be curious to see how the team performs with Durant joining the Suns!

Yep understood but anyone who knows ball knows he isn't or never was dictated by his athleticism.  High flyers and crashing guard type players end up useless towards the end of theor career.  He plays a very calm point and would actually argue he has gotten better with age.  Maybe not on the steal side but setting up his team etc I would pick him over most every other pg in the league right now IF I'm looking for someone running a team.  And that's what's needed when you have Durant, book, a good big etc.  Someone to set them up you don't need 5 scorers on the floor at once.
Yes, absolutely!
CP3 is another type of PG, fast and explosive players for example Drose and Westbrook is another type of PG.

CP3 is a very technical player, he has an excellent vision of the game, and his experience as an NBA player is high.
I have no doubt, during the playoffs CP3 will organize the team and calm it down, that is, he will dictate the pace of the team.

I may be talking some nonsense, but I have no doubt that CP3 is one of the most experienced PGs in the NBA nowdays, I would even dare to say he is a top 3 PG currently.

Well, I believe everyone knows about the changes that will occur in the next world cup.

Regarding the participating countries, do you believe that the insertion of more teams could increase the level of the next world cup? Or is this something irrelevant?
What's your opinion guys?

We already had multiple debates on this topic. Some of the users feel that the inclusion of more teams would dilute the quality of the world cup. But I strongly disagree with such statements. From what we have seen in Qatar 2022, the gap between "stronger" and "weaker" teams have got narrowed. Asian and African teams are getting stronger with each passing year. And secondly, if we call this competition a "world" cup, then there should be adequate representation from each continent. Giving 4 slots to Asia, which is home of half of the world's population sounds illogical for me. And that is why I accept the decision by FIFA to expand the number of participants to 48.
I also confess this is a relevant topic and that it can generate a lot of debate about it.

Well, we still don't have a concrete answer about that, whether or not it will affect the quality of the next world cups.

But it's not every team that has a relevant performance during the games, small teams can surprise the others, but most of the time not, but I confess that this could generate a lot of surprises, well, just look at Morocco in the last world cup .

Let's see what the future awaits us.

Unfortunately, Murray did play in this game, ouch, I thought that he will be out, scored 16 points and that is enough for the Nuggets to win.
As for the Magic vs Pistons, it's very close game, Magic just won by 2 points.
So it's a bad day, 0 wins, hehehe.
Well, sometimes the "unlikely happens"
I was also convinced, Murray would not play, but he played anyway and helped the Nuggets win the game. (in my opinion the Cavaliers played so good, it was a competitive game, but Denver won.

Me too, this was another bet/pick that I lost lol

417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: February 23, 2023, 10:53:11 PM
Here's my pick:

Magic vs Pistons, - I'm taking the Magic -6.5 @1.86
Cavs vs Nuggets - I think Murray and Aaron Gordon is out in this game that's why the Cavs are the favorite -2.5 @ 1.90

I also took the parlay, @3.53.
Same for me...
I have no doubt that the Cavaliers have a great chance of winning this game, without Aaron Gordon and Murray, the Nuggets become a fragile team!

By the way, let's see if in this round I can make good picks!

Before many fans hope that Westbrook addition can make Lakers a title contender but unfortunately it not ended up well since he's performance totally decline there. That's why many doubt because many fans that he will became a liability of Clippers the same on what happen to him on Lakers. But if Westbrook proves that he's still the Mr. tripple double machine and can get back on that shape or maybe a little bit closer maybe his status on clippers will became different.

Westbrook's stats have dropped a lot since he signed a contract with the Lakers. Let me remind you that he made 10 triple-doubles in 78 games played last regular season, and this season the trend is even worse as he only made 4 triple-doubles in 52 games played. So he's no longer Mr. Triple-Double, and I don't expect him to be able to get back to the playing shape he was in during the 16/17th season.
This is normal to happen to some players.
I believe that from then on, the trend is for Westbrok's performance to decline, an extremely relevant factor is his age, Westbrook (34 years), at this advanced age, it is unlikely that he will return to his prime.
420  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 15, 2023, 06:34:57 AM
One thing about Suns is that they have way too much offense to their very little defense. CP3 is not the defender he used to be, Booker is not a great defender, and Ayton is a good rebounder but couldn't say he was a rim protector, not a feared one at least, and Durant is great at defense but he will be pretty tired on scoring constantly on offense, so he can't really put all his efforts on defense.

This concludes that they won't really have a great defense, could be good, just good, but not great and they may have some trouble on playoffs. They can play a lot better on regular season because people don't defend that hard, but playoffs could be a trouble.
I believe the Suns will be able to make up for their weak defense with their offense, especially now that Durant has joined the team.

But a determining factor is that, in the playoffs, the games are more competitive and depending on the physical conditioning of a player, he may be injured during the playoffs. Unfortunately CP3 is one such example.
If the Suns really stand out in the playoffs and manage to reach a WCF, he will need to rotate and always be changing CP3, so he doesn't get injured, but an extremely positive point that CP3 has is his experience, I have no doubt that this could be an important thing for the Suns, especially in the playoffs, which for the most part separates the men from the children.

I would love for CP3 to get his championship ring before he retires, he deserves it, he had an excellent career in the NBA, and unfortunately, I have no doubt that he will retire soon.
