401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not in healthy state yet on: April 15, 2020, 10:26:51 AM
More than half of the 2020 crypto conferences were either canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak, while mining manufacturers had to stop the equipment production in China, how good is this for crypto?

At some point, bad, specifically for stuff like conferences and such that requires someone to be present in such room. But looking generally there were still good things that this lock down brought in a crypto space. As mentioned by everyone, some people had some change of pace to generate income. And I am pretty sure that people who have lost their job temporarily went into this space, and yes an addition of a new enthusiasts are yet to grow in this community and that is a good thing. Well, about market thing, stuff there are quite messed up specially when community panic is at its peak. But eventually, when everybody seemed to calm down some people went back to buy crypto that's why market had few pump to $6k. Much better than $4k, right?
402  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Well Organized Scam Projects on: April 15, 2020, 07:58:08 AM
How can we safe ourselves from well organized scam projects? Some projects are so well crafted and in the end they scam people, to my own understand research doesn't help here at all, use case, whitepaper, team, every thing are so real and make sense, please give advice about this
Extensive research. Not just the kind of research wherein you're just scanning the project/startup's website and not doing extensive background search.
You need to look past the wonderful looking website, the listing promises to a prominent cryptocurrency exchange and even to how well-known the team behind such a project is.
Dig deeper until you find some red-flags. Avoid getting lured in with the "nice things" others may say about the project/company; you'll have to do your assessments on your own.
If everything checks out then you may jump-in, but remember, invest only what you can afford to lose.

These stuff mainly the critical points participants are missing out. Scam projects aren't that dumb to let themselves be find out easily. So as persuasive the project may look like, hiding shading things would be on their top priority but that doesn't mean they'll get everything cornered out. If you are going to dig deeper you could find those unusual things and be soon can conclude that such project ain't real at all. So, yes, research is still a thing though but do it not in general way. You know, small pebble in your shoe can ruin the whole marathon.
403  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Telegram associated with fraudsters on: April 14, 2020, 05:50:26 PM
Scammers in Telegram, well, there are scammers without Telegram, just why position a beautiful creation like Telegram with scammers, Telegram is a multi-functional tool with the ability to create a bot and a lot of other functionality, but as the question comes to do something useful through Telegram, many say telegram and there are scammers.
Can be a room for clickbaits as well, unfortunately. And telegram helds large group of people whom scammers wants to hit for, you know hoping that someone from those members/users would fell into a trap. Either way, whatever platform scammers were always present as long as target people would be in. In addition telegram by its nature doesn't have any sort of tight security scammers might fear of, so they just keep on coming up.
404  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: April 14, 2020, 04:13:46 PM
Was watching an american nightly news broadcast last night and they were showing the numbers of how much the nba league are and will be donating to charities and hospitals to deal with the covid pandemic. From what I remember it was in the $500mln and another $700mln mark so far.
They certainly have the money to put these numbers up since the salaries of these players are around this much for just a team per season. Embarrassed
Their players are even holding events such as virtual horse and I believe are donating money the money their followers tip to them during these livefeeds to show they are doing their part during this lockdown.

These are just a small penny from 'em the league can earned in a couple of games. What really amaze me here is their initiative to do it so, well, doesn't surprised me that big since their players are all willingly to donate their salary so what's more to expect with the league, right? On the other hand, makes me feel sad at the same time for companies who have guts on turning back on their employees in this time of crisis.
405  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Role of the crypto in the incoming global crisis on: April 12, 2020, 12:20:28 PM
Long term we will see huge growth in emerging markets such as in Africa and across Asia once we recover from the global crisis.

Fintech projects such as CreditCoin are already building an infrastructure to play a major role in the growth of financial systems across emerging economies, and  it is exciting to see what is in store.

That would always have been the case, honestly, with or without the global crisis. The crisis affects everyone for sure, but especially in developed countries people get shocked the most. I only would say poverty populations in Asia and Africa get the worst shocks, and when they bounce back, it is the upper class who benefit, not the poor.

Not necesarily. While the upper class benefit , you have to consider coins like Creditcoin will be made for adoption by the poor. As there are more poor than rich we will see wider adoption than just a coin targetting the rich.
Slaman29, was absolutely right because the middle class and the poor are one who suffer the most while rich getting richer. However, the coin you mention was not the only project to offer this kind of services and i didnt see any solution they have to offer to the masses during global crises than to increase their debt.

Agree, man. CreditCoin to poor people? In this time of crisis were totally totally wrong, IMO, those people/family are the one who suffers the most, and the one who needs more assistance than debts. Lending them money won't bring any good in a long term basis other than a temporary benefit. I am not against CC but the timing and borrower (let us say) isn't fit with it. And one thing more, solving problems/suffering by borrowed money is way worse than staying broke 'cause it will just make you suffer more specially if you have nothing to repay with.
406  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: One of the best crypto trading strategy ! on: April 12, 2020, 10:01:17 AM
I like your intention on helping out people based on what you knew, and your experiences, not bad though but it would be much more better if you'll disclose it on a popular site which large group of people held such as YT, FB and such because maybe if you didn't share your video link here, no one won't notice it. Don't get me wrong, bud I just want to share a wider space so that you'll have more bigger viewers hence, your intention to help would reach everyone way more faster. Nevertheless, don't ever forget that when money is on the line, you should be the one to know first that you're capable or losing it otherwise don't bother yourself putting it on in the first place. And lastly, discipline always matters.
407  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: April 12, 2020, 04:19:36 AM
Should we say having fun is against the ethics of gambling? Coronavirus has been used by comedians around the world likewise our musicians, even some film industries have began their stories about the said pandemic, this is just a way to Cushing the negative effects of this ravaging deadly virus. Although, this is personal opinion and shouldn't be use for crucification of my view. They're just getting their gamblers inline to having fun with the covid-19.

Well, I understand your take; joking with the coronavirus should be seen as normal thing and not that; they're saying it doesn't exist among us or is a fiction. This is just a means of relaxation for these gamblers to have fun with the covid-19.

I understand the point but making fun about it doesn't justify the suffering specially for people who lost their love ones. And yeah, it is to lessen the stress or to relax with covid-19 but that doesn't mean you're worthy/right of making jokes directly to crisis. Fun doesn't have to be with what's obvious or currently happening right now, well, quite subjective but we shouldn't forget people who suffer a lot 'cause of this pandemic, be at least considerate on who will see and what could possibly be the effect of it to them.
408  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: [MEGATHREAD] Pilipinas Coronavirus/COVID-19 Thread on: April 11, 2020, 02:41:08 PM
That's incident in Tacloban is different because the people were not looting for food. Ninanakaw nila lahat ng kanilang nakikita at sa tingin nila mapapakinabangan but scary as hell din ang tagpong yon. Resulta kasi yon sa bagal ng gobyerno sa pag-control sa isang lugar.
They were obviously also looting for food.

https://www.reuters.com/article/us-philippines-typhoon/desperate-philippine-typhoon-survivors-loot-dig-up-water-pipes-idUSBRE9A603Q20131113
https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/news/regions/334750/looting-reported-in-tacloban-in-aftermath-of-yolanda/story/

Probably the biggest difference sa pangyayari sa naganap between doon sa Tacloban at sa possibility ngayon is hindi kasi biglaan 'yong pagkawala unlike noon na all of a sudden 'yong pagkaubos and take into consideration pa 'yong mabagal na pagpapasok nung tulong. What's worse is that mas wide 'yong area ng kaguluhan kung mangyari man, pero I hope not (dami ko pa ambitions yet to obtain).

Bali 'yong statement ko na mention here:
Quote
Yes, so far syempre kokonti palang talaga ang magrereklamo since may resources pa. The problem arises when kokonti nalang ang natirang resources.
409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Canada include the bitcoin. on: April 11, 2020, 12:12:10 PM
We can still count this as good news as they recognize bitcoin and starts to trade it. The beginners will learn a lot from this when they already trade or hold bitcoin. The use of it will comes next if ever they understood the basics and importance of owning, transacting and why many people choose to hold it for long term purposes. Still a positive news rather than hearing negative news about people bashing bitcoin and saying that it's old, outdated and useless.

Yeah, it might mean nothing for now but the fact they did included btc on their platform means a lot. A lot, as it would lead into many factors we can't see for now. You know, some stuff needs to have a catalyst, and adoption doesn't necessarily have to be so sudden. Bigger developments isn't all about what's noticeable for now. Hence, still great news for me.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Starting point projects. Are they worth the hype? on: April 11, 2020, 09:25:46 AM
If I were be in such dilemma I might (only a possibility) give a try on such project only if I'll be satisfied with necessary details I want to validate. Well, 2017 is entirely different with 2020, people learned and so the project is or groups/teams who make those stuff. Beside I won't give even a small amount of care just because the project really look damn good while I don't satisfied my thoughts otherwise I will throw my money in BTCs.
411  Other / Archival / Re: Why you should avoid gambling for beginner on: April 11, 2020, 08:09:02 AM
I never saw something full of negativity about gambling. To summarize, you simply mean gambling is something that will devour our so-called precious life when it is clearly not in the first place. Fault blaming when it wasn't gambling's responsibility? It is the other way around man, it is the person who can't afford to control his/her self. Gambling isn't bad, it is the addiction that should be addressed, well, if you find gambling as a quick-money generator then there must be something that needs to be fixed with your POV 'cause everything else would be harmful for you. Gambling is merely a game that requires money, your bet must be held as your responsibility so no matter what the result are, it is all about on your own accord on putting such amount. After all, you can back out but you choose not.
412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTY PUNISHMENT, TASKS ARE TOO DEMANDING on: April 11, 2020, 06:44:57 AM
If you think you can not post 15 per week, why you think about joining masulum's campaign? I would only join to campaigns which I can maintain, no matter which project it is. Do not be forced to post, do it at yout interest.

Agree, buddy. Rules may became strict for you if you can't comply. It may be sophisticated for you on complying but if you don't think of getting the reward completely I guess you won't have a hard time here. Beside as mentioned, this forum isn't for bounty alone, you must explore and you'll see things differently on how it works it is really fun and enjoying, by the way. And anyway, CM made it that way for the sake of avoiding unnecessary post or simply put spam.
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH hits $160, after a +11% gainer in the last 24 hours on: April 11, 2020, 03:28:06 AM
From the day you posted it till now market move up a bit than $160 in the last 3 days then dump a little in this day. It looks to me that would be going stable here between $150 and $160. But as what majority said, such movement was influenced by Bitcoin itself, well I agree as there are no significant news related to ETH alone on why did it move like that. So may be for now, as long as BTC pump rest assured that ETH or let's say several altcoins would do the same.

415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time Will tell on: April 10, 2020, 05:57:45 PM
I'm afraid it's quite the opposite: we shouldn't underestimate the power of a government. They let us be for the moment but I'm really wondering if they will do the same in the following years. If India was able to ban Bitcoin along with other countries and there was no civil unrest, I am honestly afraid a Bitcoin ban would only be followed by very small and non-significant protests that would result in.. nothing!

The only thing we can do is try to keep following the path we've started (mine is to keep believing in and supporting BTC) and hope a ban or harsher regulations aren't coming.

Yeah, I agree. Although their authorities to get on their seats came from our votes (if democracy is being exercise) once they established a law, it will be absolute, and defying would mean into punishment that is how it will work. Government is the most powerful authority a country has, you must remember that. Beside, they won't hold back to ban it as if the whole country totally depends in it. In addition
the government prioritizes tax, and economic growth thus industry jobs and/or businesses must be held top pick rather than a job/sidelines that a government won't benefit.
416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: April 10, 2020, 03:45:29 PM
Just wondering.  I know DOTA has like the biggest tourneys.  I tried watching the game with Team Liquid vs some team on it and I found the game a bit slow...  Are there any other popular games out there?  Preferably with quicker pace.
Yeah, DOTA is quite complex unlike other games, and has the possibilties to turn close to being defeated moments into a winning one. I can't recall if I read it somewhere that there is some match in DOTA that took 3 hrs to finish, that's how complex DOTA is. If you're interested to similar games like DOTA but with a quicker pace you could try watching LOL as I can see the average game time takes about half of an hour (30 mins) or 1 hr depends on how competitive the match up is, but the gameplay here like building up item were quite quick. But if you want more quicker you could try watching ML (Mobile Legends) this game are making now its name in e-sports industry, and note this game are being played in mobile phones (as the title of the game says), usually the average game time here runs for about 20 mins, greater than that were really a competitive one.
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown on: April 10, 2020, 01:00:16 PM
Casinos and other non-essential businesses were temporarily closed due to the virus spreading the word. We often think about gambling businesses having no income, and the decrease of the stock market. But we're forgetting about their employees who get no job and salary in the current situation.
-

This is the big problem in a no work no pay basis. We couldn't blame the business for not giving some benefits help as they are suffering as well in this crisis, beside, there's no order existing for companies, businesses being obliged to provide some monetary help, or to provide goods for their employees (please correct me if I am wrong), that's why, may be they don't have any initiative to release some money or goods. Don't get me wrong, I am dishearten to hear this, and I feel sorry for those employees whom been left by their employers.
418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 Playoffs prediction on: April 10, 2020, 11:09:21 AM
-
Do you think that if the NBA season got resumed, can Los Angeles Lakers still be no.1 at the Western Conference? and can they defeat the Milwaukee Bucks if they both got clinched the Finals spot and get the ring?
I agree that Lakers really have a strong rosters from main to bench but we couldn't deny the fact that Milwaukee is dominating the league as well while having strong teams in their conference like Raptors, Celtics and Philly. Comparing it to Bron's conference, the team did made it in the first spot and clinching their spot in playoffs already while season isn't yet finish. It is really tough to say this, but Giannis is really something, if there will be someone who could stand face on to Giannis offense, I bet Lakers would really be able to take the Championship ring. I am not saying that Milwauke were nothing when Giannis wasn't there but the guy's strong offensive skills, and defense as well, the hustle he put on his every game, the body as well isn't a joke and did play a huge factor to where his team current at now.

But yeah, basketball is a team game, but if there will be someone who couldn't be stopped on the court then there will be a huge problem for 'em to manage to get the W. Sounds overrated? Nah, IMO, it is something an obvious thing you couldn't ignore. Well, anyway, Bron is different from regular season than to playoffs but we didn't see him from previous year, so, we are clueless to what he is capable of now when game's comes into very intensive one, not taking the fact that they do need to survive to Kawhi's team, and Jokic's team as well.

Don't get me wrong, I love Bron as well. He's my idol, I am just being fair from my perspectives. If I am going to bet, I would still be on him for he is my idol. Although I knew that the opponent were terrifying.
419  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: List of Gambling Platforms. on: April 10, 2020, 07:02:35 AM
[snip]
The OP only recommends gambling sites that are "MOST VISITED BY HIM", so I think your link is useless  Smiley
Well, I do not know if that is true that all of that gambling sites have already visited and play by the OP. They are too many of them to play but I do not know if all of that is true. But this is very impressive work by OP, --now we can easily find online gambling sites that have a business here in the forum, we can assure our safety because we can easily reach their team if there are some issues.
BTW OP, since you have visited the all, perhaps it good if you include your own feedback or perhaps comparison.

Those gambling platforms I already use and visited has a good user interface and looks like user friendly and I don't want to be biased about the different platform because they give all their best to create this kind of website just to enjoy and share with the people the desire of playing gambling.

Nice list OP, you put quite an effort there. You even set aside your favoritism and included others suggestion here. Of course, there will be doubts here mostly by strict, and observant members but you don't have to feel responsible, and doubts must be validated by them alone, and what you did here were already great. It would be in their end to look thoroughly on what the platform has. I see, you're even a fellow member in our local board (I saw you in our local board), you could might as well make some list for our fellow members there who loves gambling (if you don't mind). I think it would be better in Pamilihan section. Appreciated your great effort OP.
