I placed my order on "November 30, 2013 12:16:44 AM MST", yet still no shipping information. I've contacted support twice and still no resolution. I've asked around and found that people placing orders recently have been receiving them within 2 days of ordering...

Seriously, why does a person that orders 2 weeks AFTER me get their order shipped before me?! What gives?!

There was an error a while back with one of our popular rounds on our website that should have been listed as pre-order, however they were listed as in stock for a short period of time. There have been a few delays with those orders and we've continued to have delays due to inclement weather at the beginning of last week. If you'd like specific information regarding your order please contact us at support@amagimetals.com. We'd be happy to review your order specifically.

I contacted you via your email on Friday Dec 13th and still have not received a reply. I am experiencing the same issue. I placed an order on Dec 5th, received an email telling me my order had shipped on Dec 10th. Still no updated on tracking, when I sent a support ticket asking what the hold up was I received this:

Thank you for contacting us. We're a little bit behind in the shipping area, however your tracking # will show an update by Wednesday evening next week. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

I did not order rounds I order bars in a some what substantial size. I would like to know what is going on with my order please. Im wondering why you would send an update telling me my order has shipped a week before you can actually ship it. You explanation that you are "a bit behind" is not very descriptive. I have been waiting for days for a reply from my last support email. I have ordered from you in the past and did not have issues like this. I am getting very upset and equally annoyed that the situation.

Thank you for contacting us. You should have received an email today. We respond to all email inquiries within 4 business hours.

No email today, no update on tracking and by some what substantial I mean 100oz of silver. It has been since Dec 13th at 1pm Pacific Standard Time and no reply to my email so its been 83 hours not 4 hours...

I will be placing a very annoyed phone call tomorrow during business hours asking for an explanation of your subjective statement "a bit behind".

Where did you send us an email? All emails processed through our contact page and support@amagimetals.com have been answered with the exception of a few emails from last night.

Sent to Jillian at support@amagimetals.com Dec 13 10:08pm from terrapinflyer25@gmail.com

(edit) I spoke to Jillian today she was very understanding and helpful. She said that my order should be here by Sat and that you are all backed up in the shipping facility due to heavy volume of pre-orders that where placed before my order.  That is exactly what type of explanation I looking for. I hope that you all can get your orders out before the holiday and I want to say thanks again to Jillian for providing such friendly and informed help.

I looked at their thread here and it looks like a 10 year old wrote it. How is it supposed to be something people take seriously if the people promoting it dont? What advantages over BTC or other established alt coins does it offer? Seems like people who missed the BTC early mining days will jump on anything new. Overall it looks like another pump and dump to me.
it wasn't meant to be taken seriously.
it's a joke coin.
this is what happens when you take it too far
this is no joke anymore

So basically what your saying is I was rite, pump and dump. It wont even be remembered in 2 months why bother updating the list? They could just put it in the DEAD / DYING section...

Today I was looking at Black Arrow Softwares website and found out they changed their cloud mining plans. Now their hashing speed starts from 1thash/sec and costs $2000+.Earlier they were from 100ghash/sec and costed $200+.

Why the sudden change,no beginner miners will start with them for that high power and price.

Have you considered that they sold all there 100gh/s contracts and are still selling the larger ones?

Also the 10+ order limit is so that they can ship units faster and deal with less customs issues. They have enlisted some re-sellers to handle smaller orders.

411  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Convert bitcoin to cash for free with Bitcoin-Brokers on: December 11, 2013, 08:37:09 AM

I see you guys have changed your F.A.Q.

Before you stated that the bit-coin rate is determined(based on Mt.Gox's) by the time-stamp on the receipt received when the cash deposit was made.

Now, The FAQ now reads: bit-coin rate is determined as at the time the BIT-COIN is being released to the buyer!

Man this is very problematic and VERY vague.  Angry

Which means you can literally sit on one's $ for up to 24 hours and watch what happens with the fluctuations before sending the BTC?

CATEGORICALLY, when a cash DEPOSIT or any cash payment was made...in normal business terms, it should signal the instantaneous disbursement or render of service.

Point is, YOU CANNOT DO that MAN!

Time-stamp as at when cash was made to the account should be norm. It's how everyone else does.

I apologize if you are unhappy with the change but let's review this.

We changed the terms, yes, but as you pointed out, the FAQ section was changed to advise clients of that change.

I don't understand how you find this to be "vague". It is about as clear as it can be stated.

As far as your comment about sitting on a client's money for up to 24 hours....99% of fundings occur in under 60 minutes.

In addition to the fact that fundings typically occur within minutes, there is zero benefit for Bitcoin-Brokers to try to time the pricing of your bitcoin. The Bitcoin-Broker fee is 2% regardless what prices do. It makes zero difference to Bitcoin-Brokers whether prices are moving up or down because the profit is always the same.

As far as your comment of "YOU CANNOT DO that MAN!"

Respectfully, "yes I can".

Most of the bitcoin is sourced from the actual exchanges when it is sold to you, so the pricing needs to be set in this manner. Otherwise the following scenario could occur:

1)Your deposit is made.
2)By the time you submit the documents as proof of deposit, prices have risen substantially.
3)The seller would be forced into selling you bitcoin at a loss. Obviously this cannot occur, otherwise the sellers will not allow you to use their bank account to buy your bitcoin in the first place. They need to be guaranteed a profit to offer you this service.

That's why you:

1)Make the deposit
2)Submit proof that deposit has been made
3)Deposit is verified by Bitcoin-Brokers, and then sent off to seller as proof.
4)Seller logs into online banking and verifies deposit is actually in their bank account.
5)Seller logs into their account at an exchange and purchases your bitcoin for you.

There are some sellers who sell their bitcoin without sourcing from the exchanges. These sellers have acquired their bitcoin through mining, or some other enterprise which nets them bitcoin which needs to be sold off. These types of sellers are less concerned with the intra-day movements of bitcoin prices, and as a result they set their prices according to the timestamp on your deposit receipt (which is what it sounds like you are looking for in a transaction).

I would suggest on your next order, that you request a seller who prices their bitcoin based on the timestamp, as compared to one who sources from an exchange. If there is supply available through one of these sellers, I will be happy to offer you these instead since it really makes zero difference to Bitcoin-Brokers which seller is chosen.

Hopefully, this offers you a better understanding as to why it has to happen this way.

Here is a quick explanation as to how things work here:

The bitcoins that we sell you have been placed for sale on our site by individual sellers. The sellers provide us with their personal banking information. Bitcoin-Brokers handles the sale of the bitcoins, handles the communications and directs buyers to make cash deposits into these seller's bank accounts.

By setting it up this way, Bitcoin-Brokers never touches the cash. The buyer simply pays the seller directly.

That's it. There is no sign up, or registration. We do not collect any ID.

Sellers have their bitcoin priced in relation to specific exchanges (such as MtGox +4%, or Bitstamp +8%). This is always based on current (last) price on the specific exchanges.

When ordering I need to know three things from you:

1)How much in dollars would you like to purchase?
2)What bank would you like to pay at? (currently bitcoin is available most frequently at Bank of America, Chase, Wells Fargo)
3)What is your bitcoin wallet address?

Once I have that information I can prepare a quote for you.

After you have made a cash-only deposit into the seller's bank account you will need to collect proof of the deposit you have just made. You will need to obtain the deposit receipt, as well as the business card of the teller.

Those two items will need to be photographed and then uploaded as an attachment to the same ticket used to request the quote. Once that is forwarded to Bitcoin-Brokers, I inspect it, and then forward it to the seller as confirmation of the deposit. It is at this time that I also make a request from the seller to release the escrowed bitcoin. Once this authorization is granted, I transfer your bitcoin to your wallet.

The seller has 24 hours to authorize a release of the bitcoin, though 99% of the time the bitcoin is authorized to be released much sooner than 24 hours.

On the off chance that the seller fails to reply to the request, Bitcoin-Brokers already has the bitcoin escrowed in our wallet, and we will simply complete the transfer of the bitcoin to you on behalf of the seller. You are always guaranteed to get your bitcoin when you buy them at Bitcoin-Brokers.

Anyways, I hope that clears that up for you.

Sellers who are permitted to work with Bitcoin-Brokers do everything within their power not to blow their opportunity. I have a list with the names and emails of sellers who are waiting to be given permission to have their bitcoin sold through the site. This list is a country mile long.

Now with that being the case, as I said, we already hold the bitcoin in escrow from the seller, so the seller NEVER has the ability to scam a buyer.

For the sake of argument, and to further entertain your question, let's assume a very shorted sighted seller makes their way onto the Bitcoin-Brokers framework and tries to pull off the scam you described.

The buyer has a bank issued bank receipt reflecting the deposit into the seller's account. The seller would have to explain to me why the buyer is holding the receipt.

Allow your mind to wander down the imaginary road of what would happen next. It doesnt take a genius to quickly figure out that seller has ZERO chance of scamming the buyer.

That is why after over 3000 different transactions since the company started in June of this year that there has been ZERO fraud, and you guessed it.......ZERO attempts at fraud.

Its a bulletproof framework at Bitcoin-Brokers where both the buyer and the seller are 100% protected on EVERY transaction.

These two statements contradict each other. I am very confused by your escrow system now. Are you holding the coins when you make the quote or are you asking the seller to send the coins to escrow after the deposit is confirmed?  I am not trying to smear your service I have used it many times and have never had a problem. I am simply trying to understand the system.

417  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: DRILLBIT SYSTEM Miners - Thumbs (Temp NA), 8 Boards (0 left) on: December 10, 2013, 07:13:41 AM

As I recall, the manufacturing issue at that time related to "some components" which had substandard versions used initially - before being rectified with better ones. Causing indeed a delay in the obtaining and shipping.

But I don't believe anyone has ever stated or confirmed that the "some components" referred to back then, are directly related to the components failing now.

Though, they may well be.  I just don't recall any actual statement of such.

I am by no means implying that the failing components now are related to the Nov statement, I am simply asking if BA is the company that Barntech is talking about in this statement.

Bit by bit it has become clear that this third party don't really know what they're doing. It frustrates the hell out of me. I really really wish i had not let crucial parts of this operation out of my hands as i believe we would certainly have shipped by now had we maintained control of the manufacture and done it here in Sydney. The wisdom of hindsight can be a real bitch sometimes.  Embarrassed I take full responsibility for taking the choice to work with these people. God i wish i hadn't. As i say, at the time it seemed like a good move. I am sorry for this. We have been seriously let down.

The cause for the latest delay is that we recently discovered that said third party had ordered largely substandard inappropriate substitute parts for our boards, not the ones we specified. We are lucky we found this out when we did. Going ahead with the manufacture with the wrong parts would have caused all sorts on unknown instabilities on the boards. People may well have received them sooner, but there would be a  large chance they would not work properly, not get decent hashrates, and perhaps not work at all, or break soon after being plugged in. Dealing with this problem after the boards had been made would have been a nightmare.

I am asking if it is in fact BA because of what Bobsag said today.

Barntech / bobsag, can you please confirm or deny this?

Drillbit / Bobsag3 they both had production runs through BlackArrow for their relative boards correct?

That is correct. They built my bitfury boards, and assembled the drillbit boards.

It seems that I am correct in my assumption that BA is responsible for the initial delays according to Barntech and Bobsag.

And erk this is all relevant info, by recognizing the missteps we can move forward. Knowing the facts is part of being an informed customer so finding out who has made what mistakes is how the learning process works.

Im asking if this is the mention of the third party assembling the boards in Barntech's post.

I don't see what is interesting about Chinese production houses at this stage.

What I want to know how the shipping of working boards is coming along? There is little information on the other forums, nobody seems to know what's going on.

What is interesting to me about the production house is that when the original statement was made on Nov 14th about the delay at the production house due to negligence on their part a few people asked who the manufacture was. That question was never answered publicly and it seems that it just might have been. You may not be interested in the answer at this point but I am sure that there are some people here who would like to know.

Hey guys.

We have more delays. It breaks my heart to tell you this, and it just straight up breaks my heart that it's happening. Please know, I am just as excited about this project and eager to get these miners as you guys, and just as disappointed that they are not yet ready. The last weeks of delays have been absolutely killing me.

The story is this. A while back we made a decision to engage a third party to assist us with completing our production in China. The reason for making this decision is that they are on the ground in China, have direct contact with multiple factories and suppliers etc, and promised a really fast turn around on getting everything made. In theory, getting these guys to help was going to get everything done and shipped out faster. That was the idea. They seemed competent and professional through all our initial discussions. It felt like a good decision at the time. Unfortunately, this has totally back fired and instead become the cause of many delays.

Dealing with this problem after the boards had been made would have been a nightmare.

So, we have ordered all the parts again ourselves from trusted sources. They are now being sent to the manufacturers. They will arrive early next week. This is the absolute best we can do under the circumstances. Trust me, the delay is worth it for the peace of mind that the boards are made properly to the specs of the design and will work. The production will continue as soon as the parts arrive. All things being equal production will happen on Tues. Basically we are put out a week by this. I am so sorry this is happening. It absolutely kills me to still not have these miners done for you.

So BA is the third party?
