401  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League Prediction Thread (Primeira Liga) on: January 13, 2016, 09:41:23 AM
Portugal Cup / Taca De Portugal Strong teams like Braga and Porto will play tonight as well as the other two matches
This is my prediction :
Event : Gil Vicente v Nacional  Under 2.5 Goals @ 1.48
Event : Braga v Arouca  Braga ML @ 1.34
Event : Rio Ave v Estoril  Rio Ave -0.25 @ 1.62
Event : Boavista v  Portol Porto ML

Agreed with the Braga and Porto picks. Have to be careful with these Cup matches since effort is based on standing placement. A parlay with favorite MLs probably seems like a good idea but gonna avoid it.
402  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 years i accumulated 10 btc, but now, i not have idea...suggestion? on: January 13, 2016, 09:32:21 AM
I have finished my mining investment, in 3 years i accumulated 10 btc, but now, i not have idea what make...suggestion?
I not need urgent to money then, i want invest yet, but where??
Price cloud mining is too high, difficulty hashing is too high (now 103,880,340,815.4560), gambling i'm not able, what do you make with mi bitcoin?

Gambling should be good though, not on dice sites but on sportsbook. it's not hard like dice sites, and you also can tail the experts on nitrogensports. or try invest on hyip but only play short-term.

That's a good way to lose the accumulated BTC. Gambling is a really risky way of growing further. HYIP are even worse...

You don't need the money so just hold onto the 10 BTC and wait for the value to go up.
403  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cryptsy is closed - Email on: January 13, 2016, 09:19:04 AM
i get an Email with this:

Hi, Cryptsy ceases its activities in the wake of the theft of most of Bitcoins from the COLD storage.

You can start a refund procedure at the link:
http://cryptsy-refund.com/

Please accept our apologies.

but if i go to the Cryptsy website:

Important System Notification

NOTICE: UNTIL WE ARE ABLE TO DETERMINE EXTENT OF ATTACK, ALL WITHDRAWALS AND MARKETS ARE PAUSED

I've read this!

i think this is an attack or ?
domain cryptsy-refund.com/ was registered yesterday Huh?? Huh Huh Huh Huh

Whenever these exchanges decide to "gox" they blame it on a hack. There were a lot of warning signs leading up to this. Hopefully people got out whatever coin they could before they shut down withdrawals altogether. Wonder if BigVern is gonna take the heat for this or someone else.
404  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: January 13, 2016, 09:14:31 AM
Don't think any centralized source can really compete with BTC especially not PayPal. They love to lock and steal user account's and funds. The fees are of course higher with PayPal as well especially with international transfers.
405  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why did you come to Bitcointalk? on: January 13, 2016, 09:09:15 AM
When I originally searched for Bitcoin mining guides and tips on Google, all the search results pointed to Bitcointalk. I didn't even register for the first few weeks but eventually decided to become an active member after coming back so much. It was the only consistent source for good info.
406  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to stay away from gambling? suggestions ? on: January 13, 2016, 09:06:17 AM
It depends what type of gambling you want to stay away from. Sometimes I take a week off from gambling sports and during that time I won't look at any sports schedules or watch any games.  Best way to avoid gambling is to remove the things that remind you of it.
407  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you used Bitcoin as Real money to buy Real/physical goods? on: January 13, 2016, 08:57:24 AM
Lots of food and random things bought with Bitcoin and Dogecoin. There is always a source online where you can use BTC to buy.

Got a chance to use mobile wallet at local restaurant too.
408  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: January 13, 2016, 08:50:11 AM
yes, of course everyone looses in a long run, house edge is there in casinos in order to make people to fail in gambling and give their all money to a casino owner, thats why i gamble only with small sums of money

No house edge in Poker and sports betting. But house edge is designed to gave the Casino a probability advantage. People could get lucky and beat that probability in the short  term.
409  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice game strategy? on: January 13, 2016, 08:02:34 AM
Betting at 1% of bankroll and increasing during win streaks has been pretty good for me. Martingale almost always screws you over. 5-10 loss streaks are inevitable. There's not consistent strategy to win though otherwise it would be an endless stream of money. Ride the win streaks and then leave when it's over.

411  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish League Prediction Thread (La Liga) on: January 13, 2016, 07:35:40 AM
For Copa del Rey I would pick Bilbao to draw the game against Villarreal which would allow them to advance. I also like to play Espanyol to win or draw against Barcelona. Barca already won 4-1 in the first leg and Espanyol has been solid at home. Don't think Barca will care too much about winning this game.
412  Other / Off-topic / Re: Did you watch The<Star Wars: The Force Awakens> "? on: January 13, 2016, 07:21:10 AM
Wasn't really a Star Wars fan going into the movie but the friends I went with were. The storyline and action were entertaining. I didn't understand why some things were going on but the effects were well done. Apparently it scored a 95 rating on a critic site but my friend said he didn't think it was a 95 quality movie..whatever that means. I would recommend waiting until it comes out on Blu Ray/DVD.
413  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2015-16 Regular Season Discussion on: January 13, 2016, 07:14:15 AM
My NBA picks for today:

Celtics -1

Pistons +7

Timberwolves +11

Mavericks +6

Good luck everyone!

2-2 for the day. Spurs are unstoppable. They are like the Warriors. Can't bet against them on the spread. Knicks are also running hot while Celtics have lost like five of six. Not great picks there. Hopefully better day tomorrow.
414  Economy / Gambling / Re: NBA POWER PICKS [ W7/L0 ] on: January 13, 2016, 07:08:26 AM
First time I'm noticing this thread. 7-0 in over/unders is pretty impressive. Will be looking at future picks. Good luck!
415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe are these "so called" Bitcoin Banks? on: January 13, 2016, 06:56:30 AM
Keeping coins on an exchange or in these "banks" is giving someone else control over your coins. If you don't control the private key, you don't control your BTC. As evident by the number of these banks and exchanges that get "hacked", it is much safer to keep coins in your own wallets. Trezor isn't a bad option.
416  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big Bash League T20 Cricket Predictions Discussions on: January 13, 2016, 06:54:29 AM
Adelaide seems like the better team but Hobart has good value. Anything goes in these Big Bash matches. Going to play Hobart at +111
417  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: January 13, 2016, 06:52:15 AM

manchester united is really bad, i think this is last i bet on manchester united. hopely van gaal got sacked soon.

They were better yesterday then most of the time whereas most of their matches usuallly ends with under 2.5 goal. Although van gaal made an improvement to the attack pf the team he seems to leave out the defence so the opponent could score 3 goals and even managed to get past manchester united ' defender most pf the time

As long as Van Gaal is around I don't see United making any of the necessary improvements. He is like a cancer for that team. Makes Ferguson look like a genius.

Liking Arsenal and Manchester City ML today. They should both be able to win straight up against their opponent. The one I would be slightly worried about would be Everton as they have been in decent form as of lately.
418  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PrimeDice is scamming people, watch out! on: January 13, 2016, 06:13:59 AM
Primedice and Stunna may be one of the most reputable Bitcoin related sites out there. If you're gonna make accusations like that you need to bring some substantial proof.
419  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino that does/doesn't admit they've been hacked? on: January 13, 2016, 04:20:42 AM
So, I once heard from a friend a quote.

"All banks have either been hacked and they about l admit it, or they've been hacked, but they haven't admitted it."

So I'm wondering if this is the same case with gambling sites, and would you trust one that has admitted they've been hacked, or one that keeps it quiet?

If you have money in the right casinos(assuming you are talking about investment based ones) , then most of them offer an address where most of the coins are stored to prove solvency. If they get hacked it would become evident.

As for the trust, its a personal choice, I don't trust either as a casinos can simply claim to be hacked and leave out users with nothing, on the other hand they could be running insolvent(maybe after a hack) which again would mean users will not receive their money that they invested.

This is the truth. The same deal with exchanges. Poloniex was hacked but the admin slowly paid back every single user that lost funds because of it. Funds were insured.
420  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which Search Engine Is The Best on: January 13, 2016, 02:58:27 AM
Everyone repping Google but gotta throw it up for Bing. Their search results aren't as comprehensive but you get free rewards for doing the same searches so why not. I also like reading the news stories that popup and the image search is way better.
