401  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: You think the Crypto market will keep growing? on: November 23, 2018, 01:11:10 PM
I think yes, but we should wait for a very long time... Maybe more then two years...
But I don't think BTC will cost 1 million dollars...
$50k will be a very good price...

that $1 million was over exaggerated claim to attract attention to certain individuals and I think it worked very well since everyone keeps mentioning it. $50-$100k is more realistic price that we may see next year or in few years. However, we may be very lucky if we see $10k this year.
402  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I just dump my coins for other coins on: November 23, 2018, 01:06:38 PM
This is probably my 5th time changing coins. At the moment I dump coins for dash , verge , and eos. I'm hoping for returns for the year. I am not looking for monthly returns anymore but yearly. I'm not bullish on dash or verge. But hopefully I get lucky.
I dump all my bitcoins and dump all my ether. Saying goodbye.

it's not smart to dump bitcoin for alts during times like this but they all are decent coins so I don't see why not, but what makes you think that they will do well compare to other alts like eth?
403  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto adoption on: November 22, 2018, 12:39:37 PM
If crypto does gain massive adoption and you are able to pay for things in crypto, there would be less of a reason for people to cash out into fiat. How would government collect taxes from crypto gains then? Also, if something like ETH becomes big, how is the government gonna stop people from making pyramids, ponzis, and scams in general?

people expect way too much from the government than they're capable of. Global crypto adoption is years away since there are places where people are not tech savvy and they rely on fiat for their day to day operation. They cannot stop people from making ponzi schemes but I suppose people would learn from their mistakes and correct it accordingly. no government interference needed.
404  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing on exchanges on: November 22, 2018, 12:35:44 PM
Anyone know how long usually it takes for ICO projects to list their tokens on an exchange? Is it different with other exchanges?

that depends on the project itself. I'm seeing a lot of them are taking too long to list it on exchange due to current market situation. You can see them on forkdelta/etherdelta within few weeks but volume is not that great. I've had some take months while others took only days.
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's make more companies to accept bitcoin payment. on: November 21, 2018, 12:14:42 PM
Let's make more companies to accept bitcoin payment.

I have send email to some companies in the UK to ask them to add Bitpay as a payment option.

Let's start an Operation Bitcoin. All of us send emails to companies to ask them to accept bitcoin.  Smiley

that's a great way to do it. I tell every shopkeeper I know to accept bitcoin and some of them have actually started using it but they were complaining about not getting customers who would use bitcoin. I tell them that there is no harm in accepting bitcoin as payment method as it only increases your customer base.
406  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you worried about? on: November 21, 2018, 12:12:38 PM
what I fear is when I see the condition of the price of bitcoin no longer has value and the cryptocurrency has not had too much demand, making me very scared because the price will fall and make many people go bankrupt and lose.

that's the worry of most people for short term but it shouldn't scare you in long term as long as you didn't invest what you couldn't afford to lose. If you think btc is doing bad just look at eth and other alts. imagine how their investors feel right now.
407  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency - future? on: November 20, 2018, 12:32:23 PM
In my opinion. This currency will remain a trading commodity and cannot be used as a legal digital currency. This is because there is no price certainty because the crypto value is so volatile that it is less appropriate to be used as a currency and more suitable as a trading commodity. in the future it takes courage to set the value for crypto currency so that it can be used for transactions and legalized.

Yeah, it would be fair to say that this trend would continue and it will continue to be a trading commodity until it shows some sign of being stable but at the same time stability shouldn't have anything to do with businesses accepting it but I imagine some people do look at the history and get scared of ups and downs that has been in the footsteps of crypto.
408  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is no more hope in cryptocurrency on: November 20, 2018, 12:16:28 PM
It's the end

At times like this people need to be optimistic else the bear will continue. It's not the end until it dies which it won't since $4k is still a lot. We have to wait and see how it breaks the barrier like it has done previous times. scary times but not the end.
409  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin be the same if Satoshi wasn't anonymous? on: November 19, 2018, 11:56:33 AM
How would the crypto arena be different if everyone knew who Satoshi was?

to answer that question you have to look at alts that have known developers. They're doing great. I don't think anything would be different if Satoshi was known but mystery can help the market in some way I suppose.
410  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Presearch? on: November 19, 2018, 11:53:35 AM
presearch.io

Presearch aims to be a decentralized search engine just like google, selling ads with blockchain software. They say they'll ward users for their usage.
Please read more on it on their website.

I think this will blow up, because people want somewhere else to search except google, it's obvious they don't like Bing.

I am not sure about combination of search engine and blockchain. It's very difficult to compete with giants like google. bing and duckduckgo have been around for a long time yet they're nowhere near google. It is a great experiment though.

412  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Another December Bull run on: October 15, 2018, 01:07:04 PM
I have this assumption that we may be having another December bull run, though may not be as high as we had last year. Bitcoin however have maintained a very good support level around $6000 since this year and there is no sign of breaking lower.

Sampling opinions from various investors show that there is this excitement and anticipation of another end of the year bull season and aside TA and FA, the market is equally controlled by the investors psychology and with this whole charade of an expected December bull season, I am of the opinion that it will likely come as a lot of persons are already waiting as we have a large number who are "for" than those "against".

There are so many other variables that you have to look at before coming to conclusion like that. Although things are looking grim I think it would be great if we can have a bull run in December or before that just for a change, even small one would be good to keep people happy.
413  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETh will hit $1000 end of this year on: October 15, 2018, 06:16:11 AM
End of 2018 Eth will be back over $1000 and bitcoin will be over $15000

Yes, 2019 is far though I think we should be more focused on where it will be by the end of this this year than by the end of next year. If we can see some growth by the beginning of 2019 which is quite scary to think about for multiple reasons, one being that begining of the year is generally not that great for crypto. I think we can see where it will go in November by mid august 2019 as it will give us an idea of what to expect. currently it's difficult to tell.
414  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Catching rising coins on: October 15, 2018, 06:12:15 AM
Hi Guys,

For active traders who are monitoring the charts daily for long hours,  I am curious to know what you do when you see a coin rising swiftly. Do you jump on the wagon immediately, wait for a pullback or just watch it go and crash and be happy you didn't get lured into it?

You have to research and figure out why it's rising in the first place before you put any money into it. There are multiple reasons it could rise including small pump before dump. If it's a crypto that you actually like then you can dive in no problem but if you're just in for quick gain it's important to research what you're putting your money into. you don't want to be left with bags for crypto that you do not plan to hold for long term.
415  Economy / Economics / Re: Smart people support Socialism. on: October 13, 2018, 03:30:08 PM
Einstein supported socialism.

Pyschos like Trump support capitalism.

Everybody had their own view on this.It is doesn't mean, you are brilliant .If you had supported socialism or capitalism. My preference is Socialism. Most of the people like the socialism. Because in socialism, people is important. In a socialistic government, people will get atleast minimum need. Whereas in capitalist country, the government is work for the individual business man.The people in capitalist country also like socialism.

Everyone has their own preference but I think definition is rather skewed at this point on what is socialism and capitalism. We live in an environment which is rather a mixture of both and I would say it is more of totalitarian than socialism or capitalism. There are countries where socialism work fine but you have to start from the begining, switching from capitalism to socialism is not easy as it requires many deep change in the society but as I said we don't live in capitalism either, we live in totaliterism if that's the wor :)d.
416  Economy / Economics / Re: Regulations help stock market exchange, and it will in cryptocurrency! on: October 13, 2018, 03:23:19 PM
Regulations saved the companies in those stock markets, not the stock market itself. The companies that leveraged their positions insanely actually lost a ton of money when the stock market crashed and right after that got saved by the regulations and goverments and they reinvested when the market was crashed and of course the new money coming in fixed a bit of the stock market which took time but the people in those markets actually lost a ton of money. So if cryptocurrency ever gets regulated I am 100% sure that whales will be saved whenever something bad happens and we will be the one thrown under the bus.

with regulation will certainly increase investor confidence. moreover there is legality from government, which will be safer. and it is true that whales will lose space to move. that means market will return to health

I'm not sure why people think regulation on crypto market will be same as regulation in stock exchange. It's completely different environment and what worked in stock exchange may or may not work in crypto market due to high volatility. I don't think whales will just go away. Regulation may give people an illusion of more security.
417  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you remember the Dutch guy who sold his house for Bitcoin? on: October 12, 2018, 03:16:54 PM
Story was posted here
Apparently bought a lot of Bitcoins at a price that could be around $5000. Wondering how he feels now.
You have to be incredibly solid inside and emotionally to deal with the constant price moves. Not that the decision is wise, it is a stupid decision, but stupid decisions can make you rich sometimes. Just the fact that he is a family man makes it incredibly unreasonable to do such a thing, but still wish him (and us) the best of luck  Tongue

Yes, I remember reading about him back in the day and I think it was still the best decision he could make given that bitcoin is still above his buying price and if he chooses to sell it today, he would still be in profit. If I'm not wrong he said he was going to wait till 2020 hoping it would get to 100,000. He is lucky to have a family who supported him on this.
418  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold your coins in multiple wallets on: October 12, 2018, 03:06:21 PM
The solution to phishing is to have a dedicated computer completely offline to keep your coin. I have done this many times and the result has been awesome. I have two location for wallet and both two locations are offline.

You can get a hard wallet and keep it there if you don't have an extra computer that you can continue to keep offline all the time. It won't hurt to have back ups in multiple places for more security.
419  Economy / Economics / Re: You Can Now Keep Your Bitcoins In A Bank on: October 11, 2018, 12:58:31 PM
On the one hand, this helps normalizing bitcoin. If people know that you can have bitcoins in a bank, they will think it is just as any other asset you can have there: stocks, funds, gold...and they will unlink it with ideas like Ponzi, fraud, etc.

On the other hand, none of us would deposit their bitcoins in the bank because it goes against the very purpose of it and you won’t have your private keys.

I’ll keep mine in my hardware wallet.

It can help bring in more money via more visibility but whole purpose of cryptocurrency is to keep it with yourself rather than having someone else store it for you. It can help them get more customers and I think that is their whole reason behind doing this kind of thing. Not sure if it's really a good or bad news for crypto and businesses who offer similar services to the end user.
420  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin really stabilize any country's economy level? on: October 11, 2018, 12:49:23 PM
As we all have been speaking many times that Bitcoin possesses the power to diminish the use of fiat in a country where it's welcomed with full hearts, I wish to know that does it really have the ability to cope up with the challenges a country's economy faces? Can it help in the growth of their GDP?

As we know, Bitcoin is limited in number whereas Federal Reserve has the power to do monetary easing when things go wild with their economy levels. So with such limitations, can Bitcoin really stabilize any country's economic issues?

As of current environment bitcoin is looked at as an investment by many investors who work at the bank, wall street etc. It's hard to imagine how it can stabilitize their economy when bitcoin in itself is very volatile currency for many different reason. However, bitcoin can help with unemployment in some cases and create new jobs that may or may not improve the stability of any country's economy. There are other variables that you have consider that are not included within this system.
