I don't think you understand how holograms work.
402  Other / Off-topic / Re: These could kill somebody! on: October 18, 2013, 05:50:46 PM
I've been there several times, and a few times, there has been hundreds of kids all over the area crawling on the rocks (which is allowed), so the man has a valid point if one of those rocks was unstable, it could fall on a kid..or adult.

Better tear that all down then before somebody gets hurt.
403  Economy / Goods / Re: Considering selling vtc.com for 75,000 Bitcoins on: October 18, 2013, 10:26:12 AM
who in this world have 75k btc?  i believe very few  Grin

rpietila and Goat of the top of my head. I'm sure the list is way longer though ...

It's pretty likely rpietila's wealth only exists in the parallel universe that is his troubled mind.

2: requiring so much power that its becoming almost impossible to reasonably mine at your home, due to power usage, heat and noise !
This year I just installed heated floors in the house.  Mmmmmm!  Feels so nice.  Then it occurred to me - why didn't I just put 100 miners in the basement!!!  I would have earned some money and had the same damn warm floors!!  Holy crap - that is a great new company.  Floor heaters which serve as bitcoin miners at the same time.  I am still working out what to do with these in the summer.

lay pipes to siberia. sell the heat.
405  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC the ironic currency ....? on: October 18, 2013, 08:19:40 AM
Its nothing to do with being thick skinned, its to do with never being able to discuss anything on a form without people becoming instant dicks.....

I wonder what the commonality is in these cases?

or arguing about semantics,

Strange. Especially when the whole argument hinges upon the very premise that is being semantically analyzed. It is a mystery.
406  Economy / Lending / Re: I have .1 btc to loan. Please have collateral on: October 17, 2013, 09:24:30 PM

407  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BREAKING: Black Market Reloaded closes its doors after security breach on: October 17, 2013, 09:03:55 PM
well i'd prefer to see him close the site than go to jail. as long as there is a demand for weed on the internet, someone will step in to supply it.

And child porn. Can't forget the child porn.

Haven't you ever hired someone to do images or a website only to find later that they ripped off the images / the site ?

-MarkM-

I'm sure that's what happened. Also has anyone heard of pirateat40 lately? I think he might have forgotten to pay out dividends for a while. I sure hope he's okay.

First things first you should clean the kitchen. It's a mess. Also remember to take the dog for a walk and to water the plants.

414  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Idea / Discussion: Address Maintenance Fees (reduce size of blockchain) on: October 17, 2013, 04:09:55 PM
I have an idea that can reduce the blockchain size by having address maintenance fees. Each address would have a maintenance fee deducted from it every block.

The maintenance fee could be 25 satoshis per block. This means 3,600 satoshis per day. If you have 0.01 BTC (1 million satoshis) it will last 277 days, so it is not a worry.

These satoshis could be used to pay a block subsidy so in the future when the reward is set to get lower and lower, there is still an incentive for miners to mine.

You should do this. Call it the Nakamotax.
415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi identified, now what? on: October 17, 2013, 03:31:13 PM
OMG, everyone stop using Bitcoin now.

time of posting pic coincides with the MTGOX drop for $160 to below $150

Edit ( meant as a joke, as some people take things a little too seriously sometimes.... if it wasn't obvious as a joke then please now relax that you now know it wasnt a serious market affecting event that will cost you dearly)

So I just sold all my coin for nothing? Aw shucks....
(/sarcasm)

...And I bought your coins!
Too bad, I executed a MITM attack and now all your coins are belong to me!

Too bad that my brainwallet is encrypted. Wink

is your digital media write protected?
416  Other / Meta / Re: Error: The last posting from your IP was less than 360 seconds ago on: October 17, 2013, 02:36:49 PM
Logging in counts as an action like posting, so it triggers it.

Ahhhh well...are you sure that this is a good idea ?

I can understand the posts per seconds limit, but including the login doesn´t seem so usefull (keeping in mind that the sessions length can be selected).

Logging in is a "write" action to the database, just like posting in a thread or composing a PN. For the pause function as it is implemented these are virtually indistinguishable actions. While I imagine it would be possible to fine tune the pause function to ignore login events, the question is how much benefit would be produced in contrast to spending effort on this.

419  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Preliminary scam warning re: simple-dice and coinvault.pw on: October 16, 2013, 10:09:46 PM
Idiot.

That's not very nice, Mohammed. You should probably be nicer to people, especially in your situation.

I don't know about the privacy laws in *flicks through folder* Tunisia (I wouldn't be surprised if there are none) but in most parts of the rest of the world we see giving other people access to servers we use for financial transactions as "Are you fucking crazy?"

It's awesome that you've got a new video out, even though the thread doesn't belong in this section of the forum.

That's correct. It belongs in every section of the forum.
