401  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: novaexchange is going to close on: October 30, 2017, 07:57:23 PM
The exchange has never got much attention from the people anyway, and has been far behind than many other exchanges around and i guess people believe to trade in exchanges where they feel more safe and for that, they prefer using exchanges which are being used by the majority of people, and i never saw any crowd in novaexchange. So maybe it wasn't happening for them and they thought of doing something else and close the exchange now. Better for them, as maybe they can find something better for themselves.
402  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think a satoshi will reach $1? If yes, in how many years/decades? on: October 29, 2017, 06:30:32 PM
Seeing the unpredictableness of Bitcoin, it seems possible, but seeing the likelihood of the statement, it doesn't seems to be possible at all. I mean, 1 satoshi will be equal to $1, who would think of something like that happening? And how would that happen? No matter how popular Bitcoin gets, and how demandable it becomes, it still doesn't seem possible for it to reach that high. There will always be a reason for it to stay below that grade, maybe not just below, but way below. I don't say it is not possible, but i don't think it will happen either.
403  Economy / Economics / Re: Wonder how many people can hold BTC for more than 3 years on: October 29, 2017, 06:21:51 PM
People with stable day jobs, who are earning Bitcoins as an extra income can surely avail this opportunity and keep their coins for a that long period, but people like me, who don't have any job (maybe a student which is my case, or any other reason) and bitcoin is their only way of earning money can't possibly hold all their coins as they need to spend them too. But still, i always try to keep a part of my income safe so if the price goes higher, i can also get some profit out of it, and so far, it has always worked for me. Despite spending most of my coins, i still have money and that is because i never spent them all and they kept increasing in size because of the price.
404  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Not Yet Legal But Not Banned on: October 29, 2017, 05:52:39 PM
For now, let us just enjoy the "not yet legal but not banned" status which can anyway fine with me so I can still avoid paying taxes.

Exactly. In my country, too, the status of Bitcoin is exactly what you said, "not yet legal but not banned." because the government is not yet noticing it and that is only because there aren't a lot of consumers of Bitcoin in my country which makes it not-noticeable for someone far away from the things like e-earning and all. So we, the bitcoin users in the country, are probably enjoying the current status that we have of bitcoin here, and not sure if for how long it will last until we enter another phase where the status might get changed. That will be when more people will start knowing about bitcoin and using it and then maybe the government will be concerned about it too.
405  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Is it legal to sell bitcoin for cash ? on: October 29, 2017, 05:46:44 PM
It depends on the rules and regulations of your country. If you live in a country where using Bitcoin itself is forbidden them i assume it would also be illegal to sell them or turn them into fiat, but if you live somewhere where it is totally fine to use Bitcoin then for sure you can sell them as well and no one would ask you anything about it. In my country, i sell my bitcoins without any hesitation as there hasn't been any rule implemented about Bitcoin and we are not forbidden to use it.
I sell them on Localbitcoins.com and receive the money in a bank account of my desire.
406  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitconnect expo held - mostly asians were the top contributors? on: October 29, 2017, 09:17:26 AM
Most people from Asia looking to earn money from internet compared to other continents. Currency value if Asian countries is low so even small income from internet will help.

I actually agree with this. Mostly, people from other continents are not too much concerned with online earnings as they maybe get their desired income from their day jobs and they don't find the need of going online and earning more money, while people from Asia are always eager to earn money online as if they even earn a small portion from internet, it will level up their earnings and it helps them to stay financially stable in their lives. Maybe that is the reason why mostly contributors were Asians in that event.
407  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to invest bitcoin? on: October 29, 2017, 08:57:33 AM
My suggestion:
Keep one bitcoin somewhere very safe and don't take it out before a few months, as this would itself earn you some money eventually. And, invest the other one on very well-traded altcoins in the markets. You can do your analyzes by some reading and watching the market movements. Just understand the basic things of trading and go for it when you think you are ready. Don't invest the complete Bitcoin if you are not confident. Start with a small portion to try if you can really make it work, and if you can't, you better keep both Bitcoin in a wallet and don't touch them if you don't want to lose 'em.
408  Economy / Goods / Re: Diamonds with BTC? on: October 28, 2017, 04:50:03 PM
Are you a diamond merchant yourself? Or you are just asking to know? Well, if you are a merchant and you have diamonds to sell in return for Bitcoins, then you should open a thread with your offers in Goods section, and you may get some customers there. The people who want to buy something from the forum, they visit Goods section to see if what they are looking for is available or not, so you may get some interest there.
409  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin can never go past $7000 on: October 28, 2017, 04:41:42 PM
People start panicking after reading posts like the OP's and start selling their Bitcoin immediately after seeing only a $50 rise in the price. No offense, but maybe OP is trying to do that purposely  Roll Eyes Anyway, every time when the price of Bitcoin gets stable for just a few days, we start seeing posts like this where people say "Bitcoin will not move anymore", "It is all over!" blah blah, and guess what happens? Bitcoin starts moving again, and it crosses the mark it never had, and i believe that is what going to happen this time again, so no one needs to panic right now, but wait and be patient.
410  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Hi. New to the Forum. Checking on E.B.M.E (scammed) on: October 28, 2017, 04:32:29 PM
Thanks. His website is:

https://www.bitcoinebme.online/

I will certainly update if he chooses to do the right thing and pay me back.

Why the heck did you trade with this guy while there are a thousand other, safe and secure options out there? I just checked the site you have posted and i don't think a sensible person would do any trade with a person whose website looks like made by a 5th grade student, or maybe they can make better looking website than this. I don't think you are going to get anything back, and you can blame no one but yourself for this as you should have done a small research before buying bitcoins from anyone.
411  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mr. Thiel: Bitcoin Can Be The New Gold on: October 27, 2017, 12:36:45 PM
The only thing i see being similar between gold and bitcoin is that they both are volatile. Other than that, i don't see them being relevant to each other from any matter. I know they both are assets that people use for investments and keeping their money but bitcoin is a totally different concept. Gold is a natural resource while bitcoin is man-made and it has different features and uses. I don't think we should compare bitcoin to gold and call them similar from any means.
412  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think dicing can take over the real money market like it did with Bitcoin on: October 27, 2017, 12:24:53 PM
OP probably means that whether the dice sites which are earning so much money with cryptocurrencies are going to make their land-based existence and accepting real money for it or not (if i have not misunderstood him), and what i think is they don't even need to do that. Right now, i don't think that they are paying any taxes or anything for the money they are earning through their sites, and if they go mainstream, there are thousands of things to do in there and it will not be like how it is right now for them.
413  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: October 27, 2017, 12:12:14 PM
There is no point in scamming innocent people just because the rich are not giving you any money when you need it, if that is what you mean as your title says so "Why people scam".
A person should make himself capable of earning something but not for begging for money if he can't earn it. And if a person is not capable enough of earning money, it is his own fault but not of someone else. Now it depends on the person's nature if he wants to give money to the needy or not. Not all people are good nor all are bad, so if a bad person does not give a penny to a needy it doesn't mean that person should take his revenge by pulling out $100 from a person who has nothing more than that.
414  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Dark use of Bitcoin on: October 27, 2017, 11:19:33 AM
Well, i have never bought anything illegal, not with bitcoin nor with fiat.
I actually don't have much knowledge about this, but people say that Bitcoin is traceable too. So it doesn't really make a difference if you buy something illegal with Bitcoin or any other currency as you are gong to be tracked down if that is how it is supposed to be. Maybe it is a more anonymous buying it with Bitcoin, but if people think they are totally anonymous using Bitcoin for something illegal, i think they are completely wrong.
415  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can authorities really regulate cryptocurrencies? on: October 27, 2017, 11:13:02 AM
They will surely do everything to keep their grip on their national economic system, and Bitcoin, by seeing the fact that people are adopting in a very fast manner, is threat for them. So now they have no choice but to regulate it and anything related to it. They will ban exchanges, they will threaten people that if they use if they will be behind the bars, and they will do a lot of such acts to stop people using cryptocurrencies and use fiat instead like the previous times when there was no concept of cryptocurrencies and everything was done using fiat while today we can see a lot of changes around us regarding this.
416  Other / Meta / Re: I bought 3 account, they are locked on: October 26, 2017, 12:45:03 PM
Though allowed, but account sales are not encouraged in this forum. So if you bought those accounts and they got blocked, no mods are gonna help you unblock them. You can only request for something like this if the account is yours but not a bought one.

the owner gets a notification, when email or password is changed. He gets a link to lock the account and can do that within 14 days.

Oh, that is a nice feature actually, but i still can't understand how the accounts OP bought got blocked if that is how it works. The seller would not lock the accounts if he already sold them. And if he is trying to scam the buyer, what will be the case if the owner locks the account? Will he be able to access it back then?
417  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing vs Trading and why? on: October 26, 2017, 12:25:59 PM
Or should I go with 50% trading and 50% investing.

Investing? What is the place where you are willing to invest anyway? And why don't you consider trading as an investment as well? Aren't you putting money in trading? If yes, then that is what we call an investment. And i don't know any place where you can just invest your money and get gains with the time, and if somewhere you found something like this, you better stay away from this. Trading is the better thing if you understand it and if you can control your trades in a good way. Don't go for any investments, they are 99% scams.
418  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries developing their own Cryptos on: October 26, 2017, 12:09:10 PM
Other than China, Japan, India, Russia, and Estonia, there are other countries willing to or have been trying to do this. Countries like Tunisia, Ecuador, Senegal and Sweden as well. Sweden's e-currency which they are working on is named eKrona, and it will be introduced in 2018 if they finally decide to do it.
