Are we talking about most recent posts that are being replied ?

Because as far as I have seen we already get preloaded feature at the bottom of forum where recent posts are shown.

I’m talking about this . . .

Of course having notification button at the top would be good feature but it won’t be different than the above snapshot I believe.

With every refresh that footer changes. It does most of the work.

Is this located on the homepage of the forum, or all through the forum? I will put in my eyes out to see how this will help. But to me if this feature should be considered it will definitely be of a different looks on bitcointalk forum. For newbies to even go through everything in a simple click.
422  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you handle losses in trading? on: May 30, 2020, 10:15:22 PM
Trading is something I came to understand that if you are not patience enough forget it. You can't handle the market. Am not a trader tho but have been in that state before. It has to do with lots of calculations and more time into it than to your self. I didn't run away from it because of all that but I just keep away because that's not my kind of life to practice into. But hey I was dam good when it comes to F.a (fundamental analysis) and as well to analyse chart. Now you want to learn some why not try. http://babypips.com

I appreciate you to guide me for making few dollars   Smiley

Please check your topic for correction: I believe you are to say HOW I REACT ABOUT SIGNALS not HOW I REACTION ABOUT SIGNALS😀

It would be really nice to have a shortcut which links to all the threads where my post has been quoted/ or if someone has mentioned me using @. I know "Show new replies to your posts" exists, but that shows replies unrelated to my specific posts, and its a pain to go through all those posts.

It'd helpful to have the feature but I also see idiots misusing it and @-ing people just to piss them off. It would be cool if only higher ranks like Hero and above only get the option for @-ing people, and to get a special section to see @-ed posts.

Please I don't really understand when you said

in what term they will miss use it sorry to ask can you explain further so I get cleared. Thanks
425  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Latoken will charge you 5USD monthly, if you are not active. on: May 28, 2020, 11:19:57 PM
Be careful guys, those who hold funds on Latoken exchange and not trading, you will be charged 5USD monthly.
Look they officially send it through email and confirmed on Telegram.

I think that they officially bury themselves.

I also got the email, now my say here is $5 not too much of a tasks and secondly is it $5 in total of all the tokens held there or its $5 per each coin that's in one's Account been hold? I don't even recommend keep my tokens in an exchange for future reference.
426  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scamming with BOUNTY DETECTIVE name on: May 28, 2020, 11:15:36 PM
Strange that he used Bounty Detective tag but he is not from Bounty Detective. I think the user is trying to defame Bounty Detective or they are trying to use the fame of Bounty Detective to attract more users.
Anyway, it is not possible to moderate scam because they are a lot of scam method and if forum would moderate scam, they would be also liable to pay tge scammed sum.

But this act is really harmful to the Bitcointalk community, if paying the sum will give a good result then why the long wait for action to take place.

427  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scamming with BOUNTY DETECTIVE name on: May 27, 2020, 04:46:36 PM
My question here is:
1. Are scammers really welcomed in the forum to stay for long.
Answer to this is obvious and not even tolerated for long having some evidence and proof that he did scammed or planning a scam activity like this.

2. Other than having a RT (red trust) as a penalty, is there no other ways this scammers issues can be addressed for them not to return to the forum again.
If the person have red tagged already then everyone will be alerted not make any transaction or deal. Scammer as @Jawhead999 mentioned arent not moderated but you can always report to moderator any sort of activity he does that sound suspicious.

He is indeed using Bounty Detective format on Bounty, Im not sure if this can be flagged as plagiarism more likely not.

Now this is a welcomed note, I appreciate for letting me know better, if I get hold of such Matters again I believe with this clues I can handle them ASAP.

now that's the area am pointing to plagiarism. Which I believe everyone should stay away as soon as possible or likely the bounty thread should be limited.
428  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scamming with BOUNTY DETECTIVE name on: May 27, 2020, 04:36:40 PM
TIMMZY move the topic to "scam accusation" using "move topic" in the left corner at the bottom.
There is nothing that will be done here in meta, unless you find out he is breaking rules that deserves a ban like plagiarism.

Oh I didn't notice I was probably looking forward to see where I can create this topic thanks for this heads up am grateful. Am definitely going to move it asap so others look into it.

Greetings all, I think we are beginning to have more scammers in bitcointalk.org or let's say we already have them around us but increasing in numbers everyday and with a different patterns or tricks. Now I came across this user who has just try to pull up some tricks using a popular BM (bounty Manager) Tag on his topic of post as BOUNTY DETECTIVE

Greetings all, have been on bitcointalk forum for the past 3 year's and it came to my notice and I believe to everyone who has been here for ages before me, would love to have a notification tag shortcut on the homepage of Bitcointalk forum. This should give Bitcointalk a different look and as well to easily up the stress of going through each of the following threads

1. Bitcoin
2. Economy
3. Others
4. Alternate cryptocurrencies
5. Local

Likewise all that, newbies will have this different sight of the Bitcointalk forum. Since we have the HOME, HELP SEARCH, PROFILE, MY MESSAGES, MEMBERS, MORE and LOGOUT shortcut already insight: NOTIFICATION (0) or NEW POST (0) whichever tag will be good.

This is just my own suggestion, I would love to have your own opinions over this. Thanks

432  Other / Meta / Re: Referral Link In Post Is Allowed? on: May 14, 2020, 09:45:13 PM
Most of forum members know that posting referral links in posts is against forum rules, and any such post that is reported is deleted or edited. This would be a common practice, but I wonder if there are exceptions to this rule? The reason for this question is that there is a user who post referral links in hist posts for very long time, and every post I reported to moderators is stay unhandled indefinitely.

I recently had the opportunity to write something about it, and user stompix is post something from theymos, which may explain the exception to the rule.

However, if you are using the forum as a publishing platform to host something really substantial and useful, selling ads in that substantial work is allowed. To be eligible for this, your post must be in a topic that you started, and your post must be substantial and long enough to make the ad seem entirely insignificant. If in doubt, ask me.

However, I think most will agree that this user cannot use an exception to the rule for his referral link posting. What is your opinion on this?

User profile : Joca97
Threads with referral links : 1 & 2

If he has come out full plain that its a ref link I believe the administrators have their methods of handling such matters at hand we should not condemned it yet yes we know Ref link is not allowed in Bitcointalk forum.
433  Other / Meta / Re: Stopping Bounties To Rank Up In Btctalk on: May 11, 2020, 04:49:19 PM
Am I missing something! I see lots of high rank members on bounty and still getting merit for their post or thread, like the above thread shared by Lauda, I saw many members merited the thread because of the good work and effort put on bringing those information together,

what I see in earning merit is be contributive to the community in a positive way, even if you wear a signature doing so, those who find your contribution helpful and useful will merit you. And avoid spamming and put an effort in your post.

I was looking forward to see someone saying this, when I first came into Bitcointalk back in 2017. My first question was how to join in BOUNTY and make money out and what the higher ranked members say to me is to contribute to the forum and meet up the Jr. member rank there i can join BOUNTY so doing BOUNTY and as well contributing to the growth of Bitcointalk and the community is definitely not wrong.

But bitcointalk already have some rules regarding this, if someone report their bounty tasks on threads when it is not needed which goes against the forum rules and they also get temp ban.
I believe you are only driving to the topic of not posting trash like off topics or let's say like topics that don't bring any good impact to the forum. What we are talking about here is something that goes like this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5059642.msg47776649#msg47776649 this is for example why we need to adopt Google form reporting as the means of reporting our bounty tasks in the forum.

Proof of authentication for participation is different from submitting bounty reports, if we totally move the participation and task submission into google forms then high chance of people to abuse it and it happened even with reputed names of bitcointalk.

But submitting bounty reports can be carried away via google forms and many projects were adapted to it, if there is a bounty manager who wanted to submit all the reports on the threads itself should be treated with a good lesson.

I think there should be a system to help fish out scammers, reporting tasks with Google form has nothing to do with people to re-put names in the form. Form has this option where by you put your forum name and the link to your Bitcointalk profile and with the links to the task you have done so far. Even proof of authentication is there to show who and who is participating in the bounty.
435  Other / Meta / Re: Few changes base on my own observations to be implemented on bitcointalk forum on: May 10, 2020, 02:21:26 PM
I chime with #3, it is a very good suggestion as such that Bounty threads now create such a huge amount of bounty spam posts on bitcointalk. Mandating or issuing out a rule to the Bounty Managers to adopt "Google Forms" is something that will make impact to bitcointalk forum as a whole. Nevertheless, kudos to Bounty Detective Team who has adopted this method. I think it is helpful!
If there is no proof of authentication then anyone can join into any campaign by inserting any random UIDs or other social media platform and they will replace the payment address to their desired one that is why proof of authentication was introduced in bounty threads.

But bitcointalk already have some rules regarding this, if someone report their bounty tasks on threads when it is not needed which goes against the forum rules and they also get temp ban.

436  Other / Meta / Few changes base on my own observations to be implemented on bitcointalk forum on: May 09, 2020, 02:44:15 AM
Greetings everyone, I believe we all are safe at our ends regarding this COVID19 pandemic. Now a few opinions from my own side of observation to be implemented to Bitcointalk forum are as follows:

1. LEGENDARIES REWARDS OVER QUALITY POST
Regarding the sending of Merits which took place on a daily basis between two higher ranks over the post which are quality post on the forum, I will want theymos to implement a different method to appreciate them, rather than them having a huge amount of Merits but they are still legendary members which will be just waste. Which this example: like create a locked thread in the form of a giveaway. Now, this won't be a day to day giveaway, it should be something of over 4 weeks (1 month) they submit links to their quality post they have made over the month and they will be crossed check before the giveaway is done. Or they should be retried?

2. MERITS:
On the side of Higher rank members like the legendaries who are the overall rankers, I think theymos should appoint the Carrie's of Merits, who are there to Merit newbies and other low-rank members in the forum. this case brought about this post I made read here (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5246113.msg54389071#msg54389071) to see what members said over it. Which I have this thought that comes in this form that, they have to make a submission of their post just like that of the legendaries but in a different locked thread which will have the tag in this form: (legendaries QUALITY POST GIVEAWAYS for the post made over the month) and for the low rankers ( Low Rankers Merit GIVE-AWAY for the post made over the week).

3. BOUNTY CAMPAIGN TASK SUBMISSION:
Theymos should implement a rule to every BM ( Bounty manager's) that every BOUNTY project that is to be done on bitcointalk forum should adopt to the method of making use of GOOGLE FORM for reporting of social media tasks. This doesn't include the (post of authentication) on the bounty thread or that of signatures. In this act, it will keep Bitcointalk clean and as well give a good look to one's account in the side of how you have contributed to the forum. My previous discussion about GOOGLE FORM for task submission in the forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5245763.msg54369398#msg54369398

Let's not die in silence, we all should have each other opinions (discussion) pertaining changes we likely need to have so we see how we can take BITCOINTALK to a rebranding level.

Thanks.
437  Other / Meta / Re: Greed or Need? What's changed with bitcointalk ? on: May 09, 2020, 02:37:52 AM
For many years previously quite a few " legendaries" were happy to contribute without wearing a gambling or mixing sig.

Recently I have noted quite a few of these are  now milking it to the max with both sigs and even deleting their personal avatars they have had for years to milk some extra via their avatars?

What's happening here?

The greed is likely Much, theymos should look over this and secondly I was even having this suggestions that those legendaries for a long time who definitely have earned so much money should just have a retirement note. Than dragging seat with upcoming members.
438  Other / Meta / Re: I want a way to demerit posts. on: May 09, 2020, 02:33:34 AM
There are a fair number of posts on BCT where the poster is confused to the point of being infuriating or even being maliciously dishonest, trying to manipulate markets or shill altcoins, or whatever.

The threads fill with other confused people while sensible people just shy away. For example: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5223659.0

What we really need is a button that stabs someone in their motherfucking face over the internet.

But failing that, a "this is awful wtf"  button that e.g. can only be pressed by users who have recieved over (say) 1000 merit and which only shows something on the post when it's been pressed at least three times, would at least be a start.

To demerit is it the only solution, I believe there is a ban to user who is not honest in BCT forum. Merit is a life time gift and I believe if this action is introduced to the forum definitely wrong people will use it for the act of wickedness if they get little offended in their emotions, and best way they will want to cool down is to demerit for no reason or any little mistake.
439  Other / Meta / Re: Why Same MERITED Rankers send Merits to themselves? on: May 08, 2020, 04:02:38 PM
Why does a legendary member need merit?

Who a legendary member say that? Can you give the example of legendary member ask about merit?

You should read all user post in a thread before start to post, many member have answer it about this

"Merit are not given from a ranks of a user, but merit are given from a quality post"

You can also look this picture, it's clear @theymos ( one of legendary member ) didn't want to get merit

This picture is the most crazy one I saw, theymos was even against the merits but instead they all turned it to some sort of fun. I believe it was due to the anniversary celebration which there was no means to appreciate him rather than sending those Merits which he never wanted.
440  Other / Meta / Re: Why Same MERITED Rankers send Merits to themselves? on: May 06, 2020, 08:28:39 PM
I wonder same at times, it's much like real world economy where rich gets richer and poor stays poorer.
Best and accurate sentence so far. +1, which left me with a solo merit to keep the +merit box open!
I will not say that 100% of merit sources or other members are doing this but since the merit system was implemented there was so many trafficking starting from the guys sending +50 merit to their alts, friends between them for stupid comments...
Actually what I notice is the probability to be merited increase with how famous you are in the first place then how substantial your post is. For example if theymos makes a post about a new forum feature, he may receive for it a total of +50 merit, while if any other staff member announced it, he may receive less than 30. Same applies for other members. No?

This is exactly what am driving at, I have come across such accounts on bitcointalk here where it has not even up to 20 activities but has already gotten up full member rank at a Go... My opinion here is theymos should try to rebrand Bitcointalk with few changes.
