421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people hate Bitcoin Cash so much? on: May 31, 2018, 03:01:04 PM
I mean, it's just a technical experiment. It's good for the consumer to see all the possibilities of what the product could be! And it's already doing good to the world with charities like @eatBCH !

Bitcoin is the first crypto and they want to replace it with BCH spreading fake information to the public which is so misleading to newly investors who has less knowledge in crypto. Lots of people were persuade by them when they said that BCH is the real bitcoin. Putting down the name of bitcoin to make your own coin number one is a very bad move that is why lots of people hates BCH for those fake rumors that they spread.
422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Need Serious HELP!! on: May 30, 2018, 03:03:21 PM
This is a very cool way of being addicted since you can earn a lot of money just like those people who are workaholics they are addicted to their work and they can earn more money for their family. I don't see any problem being addicted to crypto as long as you won't steal money from others for you to buy those cryptos that you love to invest. This is so absurd. Grin
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins are brands? on: May 30, 2018, 02:51:28 PM
Usually, we choose brands that reflect our identity and values.
But is the same for coins and tokens? Do we choose coins based on our values?
Are coins are brands?

It really depends on the person. Some people choose their coins due to some influence from friends. I got to choose my tokens or coins from my own research and beliefs that the money that I'm going to invest in won't be put to waste. There are lots of shitcoins in the market and you have to do your own research if you want to profit in the long run. I personally do some thorough research about the people behind doing the project for me to make sure that I'm investing my money to a trustworthy technology.
424  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain and AI will improve the world economy on: May 30, 2018, 01:53:38 PM
Since the inception of the blockchain with Bitcoin in 2009, there has been a huge interest from governments, and central banks alike to design their own centralized digital fiat currency for their benefit. Given the security benefits and efficiencies that the blockchain provides, it would be used well in conjunction with AI technology, to transform the global economy in ways we've never thought possible.

As such, there could be a future where everything is managed by AI and the blockchain would serve as the security and settlement layer for any kind of transaction. A one world currency might become a reality where it is backed by all the banks and governments alike. If this happens, then true autonomy would become established enabling everyday devices to operate on their own and "monetize" themselves via the use of a single unified global currency which operates on a blockchain.

Therefore, both the blockchain and AI will have a huge impact in our world economy, and every aspect of our lives as we know it. Of course, this might take quite a few years to happen, but the benefits provided by such technologies would be too hard to ignore.

What are your thoughts about this? Will both Blockchain and AI improve the world's economy?  Huh

It will definitely improve our economy worldwide since we are dealing with the technology that never commits mistakes. When we talk about centralization with the use of human being as what we always do just like in banks in making decisions and whatsoever, it's where the blunders and fraud takes place that could damage our economy and a possible hyperinflation will happen due to human error and flaws.
425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The bitcoin complainers on: May 30, 2018, 01:48:40 PM
Ok so some people are waiting for an opportunity to buy; they wait until they see what they think is a good enough dip; then they buy some crypto/ bitcoin; price starts to go up and they start being in profit; then the price starts going down, and down a bit more and eventually gets back to the price they bought at. Then, and here is the thing, the price goes below the price they bought at. Then it goes done some more. And then maybe some more. Then, those people sell their bitcoin/ crypto. Then they come on here and start spreading FUD. Then the price goes up. Then it goes up some more. Then it goes above the price they originally bought at! Then it goes up some more. Then they come back on here spreading more FUD because they personally lost out. But other people are making money from the same bitcoin/ crypto - they just did NOT have the patience and understanding to see it through. Nobody's fault but their's. Yet they think spreading FUD because they made the wrong decision is somehow bitcoin's fault. Sound familiar? Go figure.

DISCLAIMER: I am not saying you should buy or sell bitcoin or any other crypto. I don't know if prices will go up or down. Past performance is not a guide to future performance. If you need to speak to a professional adviser then they may give you some assistance. I am not a professional adviser. I don't know anything.

Most of those people who sell their BTCs at a lower price than what they purchased due to fear of losing more of their investments are emotional investors. Most of them doesn't understand the nature of the technology and they are just here to get instant profit. They don't believe in the technology and what can it offer in the future. More research and knowledge is needed for them to fully have faith in the coin, token or project that they want their investment to profit.
426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Predictiing Cryptocurrency price.. Is it possible? on: May 30, 2018, 01:45:08 PM
As you know, the cryptocurrency market can see huge changes in a matter of few minutes, making it very unpredictable. However, there are some fundamental factors which can influence the prices of any cryptocurrency. Prediction of Cryptocurrency future price are base on two factors 1) Historical price trends
(2) Historical volume trends. So,  there can not be a single and concrete prediction of any Cryptocurrency because of the very nature of cryptocurrency.

What is your view about Cryptocurrency price?

It's not possible. Many experts who predicted crypto values failed. Crypto is very volatile and it's value is not merely based on the two factors that you mentioned. Right now the US is trying to focus more on the people who are manipulating the values of crypto market because of the fluctuations that we can't comprehend. In terms of crypto values there are so many things to consider as well like news and some tweets from a high profile crypto investor could affect the values of crypto in just a short span of time.

3 day average price used for BTC payments: $7,333

At current prices that's a nice 5% increase to IOST Smiley

Received IOST and BTC payments. Thanks a lot Madz!
428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Etherinc will replace ethereum? on: May 29, 2018, 08:02:27 PM
New ethereum fork named etherinc was introduced as a better ethereum which is already implemented. Do you think it is better now to invest in ETI than ETH?

I don't think so since Eth has lots of supporters just like BTC even if there are lots of forks that has been done still people who believes in the technology will remain loyal to it specially those people who have made lots of profit from it. Eth has shown good performance in the market few years back and we'll just have to wait what the market will say regarding their respective prices.
429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency into fiat money on: May 29, 2018, 07:59:19 PM
hello guys , How you convert your cryptocurrency into fiat money ?

In every location or country we have exchanges who can convert our btc into fiat unless your country bans crypto. You can also visit localbitcoins. In my part I always use localbitcoins and very satisfied with the service. So far it never disappoints me. Sometimes my friends buy my bitcoins but for the most part I'm into accumulating lots of btc as I can for future profits.
430  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] IOS - Signature & Avatar Campaign | Up to $150/week - (Extended) on: May 29, 2018, 05:50:45 PM
I was waiting as well. Hope Madz will update us anytime soon.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Altcoin be independent ? on: May 27, 2018, 08:37:43 AM
Bitcoin’s value does indeed affect the price of all altcoins since BTC/AltCoin trading pairs are the most commonly used and is usually the standard go to exchange pair on all cryptocurrency exchanges. So can Altcoin break all the relationship from bitcoin and run as a independent currency.

That would never happen since bitcoin is the king of all coins and altcoins value is somewhat based on bitcoin. If bitcoin's value will increase as well as the value of altcoins but it really depends on the performance of a particular altcoin. Sometimes there are some altcoins that won't perform well in the market despite the sudden increase of bitcoin's value.
That's why its impossible for an alt coin to surpass btc since btc is the basis of all altcoins' value in the market.
432  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Btc phone scams happening??? on: May 26, 2018, 05:15:22 PM
I have found that in recent time btc phone scam has been increased a lot. Scams call people and pursue people to pay taxes and bills by btc or any altercoins. Even some asks to invest in fake coin also. Mainly the scam group target people over phone.

Has it been happened with anyone??

This is so rare. Most of the people won't just send you money specially if you don't have a legitimate company that they can call to. I wonder what kind of people will fall for this scam. I've never heard a news about this kind of scheme. Hope those scammers will be caught and be locked up forever for they are taking advantage of the weaknesses of other people and destroying the name of crypto as well.

well I remember when all these ICOs were gathering cryptocurrency users information in the name of KYC I said that they are just accumulating information to sell and use for these kind of scam and also advertisement. now you can see what I mean! the most obvious one is the Email spam, social media spam and now this is the newest method with calling spam/scam.

if you are already in a database like that somewhere be sure that you are also a target.

I agree with you on this. That is why I'd rather not join any bounty campaign that needs KYC. Aside from the fact that it invades my privacy, I can't let them use my information to illegal activities or to spam me with stuffs through email or even sell my info to some company that are outsourcing their product and services.
433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day everybody! on: May 26, 2018, 04:46:19 PM
Happy BTC Pizza day, everybody! Smiley

I'm not sure if some of you are aware about the famous sale of 10,000 BTC for two Papa John's pizzas that went down in our very own BCT forum, right here in the market place: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.0

The 10,000 BTC were worth $41 at the time, contrary to popular belief that says it was $0.008 per BTC.

Moreover, laszlo, the person who bought the pizza is still active here (well... kind of anyway, he was last active in Nov 2017). Couldn't find the lucky guy who paid for the pizza though, user jercos isn't present on this forum (maybe it's just a nickname).

So, would any of you like to see how does $82.5 million pizzas look like?  Grin
I did some digging and found the correct & original URL to the photos: http://eclipse.heliacal.net/~solar/bitcoin/pizza/

To address the elephant in the room, in Dec 2017, the pizzas were worth: $200 million Cheesy

I was one of the skeptics about bitcoin when this happened. If only I invested even just $50 way back when btc is still worthless. Sometimes being skeptic about some things that you don't know will make you regret in the future. I never understood the technology so I didn't grab the opportunity. But its never too late though. 1 btc will still reach $1m few decades from now. Grin.. So let's start buying BTCs while the market is on sale and hodl until retirement.
434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Next Bitcoin Block Reward Halving is on May 2020 on: May 26, 2018, 12:18:24 PM
The Bitcoin block mining reward halves every 210,000 blocks, the coin reward will decrease from 12.5 to 6.25 coins.

This means that there's an increase in the difficulty when acquiring or mining bitcoin. Will this event gives us assurance that the value of bitcoin will double or even triple by next year?
As what it manifests during the previous halvings, the prices of bitcoin really skyrocketed at a very unpredictable pace and lots of bitcoin investors' lives were changed. So if we try to look ahead of us in the distant future, there's really a possibility that one bitcoin will have a value of a $1m? or will it really depend on the acceptance and adaption of the society to bitcoin that can give value to the currency?

435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain will create a better world. on: May 26, 2018, 11:58:15 AM
In recent time blockchain is the most popular and widely accepted modern technology and most of giant corporations are adopting the tech for transparency and decentralization. And I hope it will make the world better from trust and acceptance point in next. What is your thought in this issue?

I do agree with you on that. Blockchain is a one of a kind invention next to internet and electricity. I also bumped upon an article yesterday on How crypto is revolutionizing manufacturing industry and I already did post it yesterday in here and I'm glad to post it again so people will see how it works.

So people will have a clear view on how blockchain can make a difference in a manufacturing industry.

436  Economy / Economics / Re: Speculation on BTC on: May 25, 2018, 04:02:01 PM
I was reading the Speculation section from the Economics forum yesterday, and two guys from the BTC Foundation said that 2018 will be the last time that Bitcoin will be under $10,000. I believe that this statement was made to lessen the worry that comes about every time that BTC drops. I don't know how anyone could make that statement in full faith though, as the nature of altcoins is its very volatility. Since it is not tied to normal economic conditions as fiat currency is, I don't quite see where that prediction comes from. The fact that many economies are talking about some type of oversight does show that acceptance is gaining and perhaps is a harbinger of more stable, and higher, prices.

No one can really predict the future of crypto specially the values at a given time. Even experts cant accurately predict but its very much possible due to the mining difficulty that will happen next year. As we all know that every four years the mining difficulty of bitcoin increases together with its value but this does not really assure us that the value will definitely skyrocket or even be doubled since bitcoin's value is dependent on the acceptance and adaption of the people to the currency. The next halving is expected happen on the 31st of May 2020 and we will just have to wait and see what the future will bring.

437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How Blockchain Technology is Revolutionizing the Manufacturing Industry on: May 25, 2018, 10:44:54 AM

Blockchain is really a very awesome innovation and one of the most promising technology that happened in our society. It has lots of benefits to offer not only limited to cryptocurrency but could potentially create or help in some sectors in our society specially in manufacturing industry.

438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL is the only policy. on: May 25, 2018, 10:32:42 AM
Market is fluctuating today a lot . But I hope it will not continue. So I am applying HODL at this moment.
What is your policy at this current market volatility?

In my case since I do believe in the technology of the coins and tokens that I invested in then I purchase some more and wait what the future will bring. I'm very much positive that by the end of the year, all coins or tokens will surely increase its value and the market will be going for an uptrend. I'm not sure about this but as we all know that the crypto market will always find its time to correct itself so lets just expect greens in the next few days or even weeks. This is really the great time to take advantage of the dips and add up some promising tokens or coins in your portfolio that could potentially give us more profit in the near future.
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is going on actually?? on: May 25, 2018, 10:28:40 AM
I am really surprised seeing the current situation of the market. Approximately, all he popular coin price is drastically falling. What is it symbolizing?? Should I do invest now or wait to see what happen?Huh

This is  the right time for you to shop for coins since its value is very low or you can still wait for a few days to let it hit its all time low for this month. The market will surely cope with this bloodbath and it will be going in an uptrend real soon so better invest now and gain more profits in the future. This is just normal since crypto values are very volatile and we just have to take advantage of this dips by purchasing more and wait for the market to fully correct its values. If you do believe in the technology then invest some more just don't forget to invest only an amount that you can afford to lose.
440  Economy / Economics / Re: Wise thing to do with your savings. on: May 25, 2018, 06:10:13 AM
I see that many of you actually liked the concept of 20 % method wherein you allot 20% of your earnings to be saved as emergency fund.
So I was thinking, if that 20% allotted will be invested in a time deposit kind of account, will it still be possible to earn as much or invest it in cryptocurrency? Or maybe just let the money sleep until such time you will need it?
What will be a wise kove to do with the noney you have saved up?

When we talk about emergency fund, the money should always be ready in times of emergency so you shouldn't put it in a time deposit kind of account for you to have easy and immediate access to your funds. I don't suggest for your emergency funds to be invested in crypto either since its value is very volatile and you don't want to compromise your emergency fund to lose its value over time. You should allocate another percentage of you income for you crypto investments. Emergency funds should be easy to access and always available for you in times of trouble so you shouldn't be investing that money into something that could delay you from accessing it when something urgent that needs funding.

Just try to place those funds in a secure place and make sure that your wife or partner knows how to access it as well.
