Any chance CfB that you will be the V Buterin of IOTA...i.e. giving public presentations, etc?

I do agree that Iota needs a face.
I think one of the reasons nxt didn't take off as it could have, is that it didn't have a special someone like Vitalik.
If it's not cfb, how about David?
Do you think of any more candidates?

I would say David already is.

My escrow service is over.

you caught me by surprise - any chance of reopening for 24-48 hours? thanks

thnaks

Dear CfB, I just got a buyer who woke up now for my genesis account proposition. I'll be back from travel tomorrow, will you be available by MP for this? Thank you for your time. Best regards

Unfortunatelly it's too late, the genesis will be finalized today. Use soneone's else escrow service.

What's the latest version of the wallet for Win?

That would be 0.3.7, found here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/emercoin/files/

Note: We are working on a new wallet release currently that will address some issues from the previous versions.

Ok that's great, looking forward, also new design? Any estimate in the release?

I think the buyers who got their Iotas at 1000 satoshis where lucky. Previous trades had an average price tag of maybe little over 2000 satoshis, so over 50% discount nice.  Tongue
Also I think Iota will trade way over 1000 satoshis once on exhanges, so also in this respect 1000 satoshis was really cheap price imo. Congratulations to the buyers!  Smiley

I agree, people  who bought for 1000/ 2000 sat are still to be considered early investors, they got their Iota cheap.

Yes unclaimed IOTA's should go into the development of IOTA ecosystem. I think bounties for tasks could also be a way to expand the userbase, we want IOTA to be widely used. You can have the great system/ product, but if nobody uses it it's useless. (VHS - Betamax)

SCAM ATTEMPT

An IOTA community member (frederick213) just alerted me to the fact that there is a scammer by the name of lotatoken that attempts to fool people to a phishing site.

Quote from: lotatoken
Good day frederick213,

We have just reopened the official IOTA website and are now distributing the devs shares of IOTA.

Currently we have 15,000,000 Iota available at 1 Iota per 1350 Satoshis (min order 25,000)

We dont expect them to be availble very long considering the recent news -

htttp://collect.iotatoken.com/ <-----Scammer obviously link to another URL

Kind regards,

the IOTA team.

Yes, be carefull, they quote the original post and past in a different url. ( I disabled the link by typing an extra t)
If it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

I have bought some, still a bit rough on the edges (qt) but I think Emercoin has a lot going for it. Still affordable, interesting new developments, Microsoft. Lets see where this goes.
Why is it not traded at Poloniex?

There is some serious trading going on, should have bought more.. Grin

All these executed orders help adoption and make community bigger  Cool

Happy are those who first bought cheap (while all of us wish to have invested more  Wink )

I agree. Before Nxt went to exchange a few people sold me a total of 1 million Nxt at what was well above ICO prices. Then Nxt went to .00015 within a month of being on an exchange. I did very well because people sold some to me.

So me and 1 other person I know wanted to do the same thing with Iota. Now Iota will certainly go to more than .00015  during Iotas early days because "The Internet of Things" is an emerging technology field known in the greater non-crypto world. Iota can leverage non-crypto partnerships that Nxt never could.

But the point here is that while I could have made more by holding everything till the height of initial frenzy, which will probably be some months down the road, I felt it was just as important to sell some and set a bottom price from which to speculate from. I have 10 buyers that are very happy today.

Great initiative. It's all about adoption, getting people involved. I just don't have enough to comfortably sell some...  Tongue

Augur is a prediction platform, which uses the principle of the wisdom of the crowd. This platform has can be a gamechanger on all kinds of prediction markets: elections, gambling, weather, etc.
