I'm not sure Bill Belichick is done having awful games. That team is god awful, and I just don't think he's the coach/GM he use to be. To me he's lost a few steps and this could be his last year with the Patriots.
I've been saying he's washed since he used a washed Cam and its only gotten worse. Its funny I used to get Dogpiled for saying that but the fanbois are finally getting it through their thick skulls that he should either stick to Defenses or Retire. Can Newton was an error in judgement. I think he did that on purpose to show the world that he could win a Super Bowl with any QB, and his success wasn't tied to Brady. Kind of backfired on him, if my suspicion is right. Anyway, I'm not sure he's washed up completely, but he definitely needs an offensive overhaul. Back in the day he would make players take pay cuts, throw them to the wire and then grab them back (Blount) but now he throws bags of cash at Has been losers like Juju, Parker, Zeke and refuses to admit he can't draft for shit and keeps that moron Jones in when Zappy does just fine. Everyone excited for this huge primetime game of my Chicago Bears versus the Washington Commanders . I mean talk about a snooze fest. The only reason it's kind of exciting for me is because at this point I'm rooting hardcore for losses, that way we've got a chance at Caleb Williams next year. If the season ended today, the Bears would have both the #1 and #2 picks (we got Carolinas #1 pick for next year in the trade for this past years #1 pick). I shall gamble on the game though to make it more fun. Not sure how yet though. I know the giants have one win but they are going to give the bears a fighting chance for that #1 spot lol. There are always a couple fluke games one way or another. If the giants landed there they'd have to trade the pick for a haul of picks and players. They just paid $160mil to jones no way they can get out from under that contract. Maybe one of these years NY teams will smarten up and build a line. Honestly in the last 4 years the giants spent more 1st through 3rd round picks in the draft than any other team. They paid nate solder from the Patriots who flopped, it's just unbelievable how much they swing and miss. Theor line has been brutal ever since the 2007 and 2011 SB years. They actually just sign Justin Pugh to their practice squad who they drafted in the 1st back in 2013 lol. It's bad.. Thats so sad, I always though Nate was the absolute worst! Yeah the silver lining for anyone going up against me is - I don't have a QB.
This is the first year I can remember where alot of the expected decent QB's are shit. Burrows ,Danny Dimes, Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields come immediately to mind. |
