Worth, we thank you for your blog announcing Hawaiicoin. We're sorry for the inconvenience that our snafu caused you and everyone else. Without people like you this coin is nothing and we thank you, Pax, and W8 for your continued support. It's challenging to focus on both marketing, business, engineering, operations, and support with a small team working like dogs for a community project like this. We hope to continue to see support for the coin by witnessing things such as your blog post, helping us with wallet compilations like W8 is doing, and pool recovery efforts like those from Pax and Dimitiry (Incubus). Lets push forward with due diligence and see if we can't take this one to Mt. Haleakala (10k ft dormant volcano on Maui) which I see as much more realistic than the "moon" Glad to help! I've got more coverage of Hawaiicoin planned -- I have multiple tech & Hawaii related social media accounts and websites (some just Hawaii, some just tech, some with overlap) and will be doing more to promote it. I also know some others who might be interested in posting about it too and will be talking to them about it. Will post updates about it here, and in the mean time, will keep mining it on http://pool.privanon.com/hic/index.php?page=gettingstarted

I'm back on and mining again.

All, Very sorry for the network problems folk. Andy sorry for the delays. I've been working very long hours with the privanon pool folk, marketing team, and future coin dev/test for the diff retarget...and oh yeah, a little thing called my day job Gotta put food on the table. Privanon and several other core seed nodes have verified that we are at block height 17272. The problems occurred at block 17223 on Sun morning 12:30am Hawaii time as a move over to the new rediff caused a fork. Please ensure your wallets are at block 17272 (debug>console>getinfo). If below or above, please do the following: Windows: go to start>run> type in %APPDATA%. Go to hawaiicoin and delete the BLOCKS and CHAININFO folders. Also delete your PEERS file. Mac delete the two folders and the file but in your ~/Libarary/Application Support/Dogecoin Both client OS: make sure you have the IP address of 54.201.25.156 in your hawaiicoin.conf file (addnode=54.201.25.156). Restart your wallets!!! My wallet (Mac) is right where it's supposed to be. I'll point my miners back at Privanon as soon as it seems to be up and running again. Thanks.

Hello,
which pool is best for MOOn Coin mining?
i was mined with hash.so but there payout not working... seems they have old fork
Try Multipool.us - have had no problems with them. Check the front page of their site for their nearest URL and the Mooncoin port.

I haven't been having any problems syncing the wallet -- I just tried it for the first time today and it seemed to be stuck, but after a few minutes of not seeming to do anything it synced up. BUT, the main Privanon pool seems to be down and as far as I can tell has been down for hours.
I'd switched away to mining something else for a day or so and then switched back late the night before last. Yesterday I noticed that all of the Hawaiicoin I'd mined was stuck as unconfirmed. It was still mining so I decided to leave it overnight and see how it was doing today; I now I have close to 2,000 unconfirmed. The website is up, but stratum seems to be down and my miners can't connect.
If the admins are working on fixing this, they should post in the thread to let people know. Things happen sometimes & technology acts up, but somebody needs to keep the thread & the twitter account updated to put people's minds at ease.
I wish I'd waited on publishing the post on my blog promoting Hawaiicoin...

100 moons came through. (And FYI, know it's a small amount but no problem bouncing those back to you as it's the right thing to do.)
So I'm not sure what's causing the intermittency. Could it be peers that are on the wrong fork? (Is that even possible?)
Also emailed AltExplorer.net to let them know their chain is incorrect. (I presume you will NOT see the transaction you just sent, on AltExplorer's moon explorer.)
Don't worry about returning it. Not sure what's going on. Hopefully the info in the thread, including our tests, will help someone figure it out. Edit: Actually, if you want, you can click the link in my sig and like the post or my front page on Facebook, share on Reddit or Twitter, etc.

You're running the Windows wallet. Michi?
Mac wallet is receiving OK for me...
Windows wallet, yes. Post an address and I'll send you a few Mooncoin to see what happens.
Sorry for the delayed response: 2Eo1PkfG6Rs8TnQpaaVxMUpH32tTFJaVn2
Just sent you some. 1 confirmation so far.

I confirm problematic behaviour. 3 payments from multipool did not arrive in my updated windows wallet.
You're running the Windows wallet. Michi? Mac wallet is receiving OK for me... Windows wallet, yes. One withdraw from mooncoinpool.com: failed. Next withdraw from mooncoinpool.com: succeeded. One withdraw from Cryptsy: failed Another withdraw from Cryptsy: failed. Earlier tried deleting the entire blockchain and re-synced from scratch. No change, still sporadic receipt of transactions. Verified for sure that this is the current, updated, post-KGW-fix mooncoin wallet. Post an address and I'll send you a few Mooncoin to see what happens.

Looks like we have a really bad fork problem, guys. I absolutely am aware of the KGW hard fork, but it appears to not be working as intended. May want to look at the latest posts in /r/mooncoin on reddit...
Sporadic transactions from pools, many peoples wallets seem to sync to one fork or the other (even when updated), pools appear to be sending to both forks intermittently as well.
Some have been able to withdraw from exchanges such as Cryptsy, I cannot - even though I deleted my blockchain earlier today and am running Wallet 1.862.1.
Something's gonna have to be done here soon because both forks appear to be getting legs and the wallet seems to like both of them from time to time (and maybe depending on peers.)
One can be seen on AltExplorer, the other on Mooncoin ABE.
Wow. I hope this isn't going to be a problem. I've been mining on Multipool.us the last day or so and have had no problems withdrawing to the current Mac wallet. I take it Cryptsy shows the withdraw, but it never arrives? The only odd thing I'm seeing right now is synchronizing with the network never seems to fully catch up even though it shows the last received block being from zero hours ago. It currently shows 69870 of 69907 and doesn't seem to be progressing -- but I just got a confirmed withdrawal from Multipool. Hm. Edit: I left the wallet open and it's fully synced now.

Just a thought, but I wonder if Mintpal could change the label where the pay for a vote address was from "NA" to "Coin doesn't take paid votes" or something that indicates why you can't pay for a vote.
I think that actually says something about the coin and the community behind it that "NA" doesn't convey. Just an idea.

Oh,god my mined bob coin can not be confirmed in the pool .It always in the unconfirmed coin blank.

Already on it. Coordinating with pool operators and exchange folks shortly. Looks like we'll be forking harder and sooner than previously thought... LOL! Glad I waited before releasing my Mooncoin giveaway video to my newsletter. Hopefully the Mac client will be released in the next couple of days and I can send out my emails this weekend. Glad you're on top of the KGW fix -- I hadn't even heard about the problem until today. Thanks!

Deaconboogie, Do you have an ETA on the release of the new wallet?
The new wallet will be released at the same time as the fork. Yes, this does mean that there will be a hard fork, just like Doge did. I hate to do it, but we're sort of stuck with it. We're shooting to have this done by April 15th. OK. I'll have to decide if I want to wait a couple of weeks or send the email out this week and then do a quick "how to update" video later. Probably the latter, since I'm already behind schedule due for reasons that have nothing to do with Mooncoin. Thanks.

March 2014 "State of the Moon" posted!
Topic includes upcoming changes to the coin!
Please share your opinions of the upcoming changes here, on the blog's comment section, or on Reddit.
http://mooncoin.info/?p=160 Deaconboogie, Do you have an ETA on the release of the new wallet? I ask because I've been planning a Mooncoin giveaway (along with a step-by-step video lesson) to my email newsletter as a teaching tool to help bring non-technical users into cryptocurrency. Given the tech skill level of most of the people on my newsletter is pretty low, I want to make things as simple as possible and so I'd like to avoid forcing them to update their wallets too soon after they get started. I'd also appreciate it if you could make sure to include a self-expanding .exe again this time as you did with the last update (or just link directly to the mooncoin-qt.exe) because making my students have to download and install a third-party application just to be able to access the wallet app is a very big hurdle for a lot of them and I want to make things as easy as possible. People who have minimal skills and understanding of technology can be very easily discouraged by even small hurdles, so I want to keep things as simple as possible for them so they can gain confidence and knowledge with crypto. Thanks!

I checked and have been credited 563.83307590 HIC, which seems like a very low number for 9 hours. Is that the total amount? It's midnight here so I will check for your reply tomorrow. Thank you.
