Exciting Unexpected Premature Good News

On May 3rd I was informed that of the 600 million websites on the internet, www.PICISI.com is ranked at 22 million.  That was phenomenal news considering there is nothing at the site and we didn't ask anyone to go there.  Our plan regarding site performance was to start monitoring it after we launch but since it is now listed we will start monitoring ranking immediately.

Apparently the prelaunch buzz is effective and caused people to search out the site.  That curiosity was recognized by Alexa.com, the foremost authority on site rankings, who ranked PICISI.com.

Today I took a look at the ranking, to my amazement it was adjusted to ~17M at this rate we expect to rise though the ranks fairly quickly.  Our ranking goal is to be under 100K in 3 months and under 10K in 6 months.  For perspective coinmarketcap.com is ranked at 14,406 worldwide, and bitcointalk.org is ranked at 5,645 worldwide.

After we go under 10K we will aim to compete head-to-head with our primary competitors in the crowdfunding space: indiegogo.com who is ranked at 1018 worldwide and kickstarter.com who is presently ranked at 372 worldwide.

May 3, 2015 ranked at ~22M
May 5, 2015 rank adjusted to ~17M

True rank changes are done monthly or longer.  The 5M rank leap is an awesome sign for any site in prelaunch.

Is Aricoin dead? I do not know where to go to see the latest news and developments.

Aricoin is alive and kicking, here is PICISI's new sponsor list:

Site launch prerequisites update:
1) recruit a min. of 6 admins, we now have 2;
2) secure a min of 20 sponsors, we now have 21: (www.ArmisGame.com, The Einsteinium News, Crypto Cloud Hosting, Bitcoin PR Buzz, Crypto Database, Einsteinium, Metal Coin, HYPER, Hobonickels, Energy Coin, World Aid Coin, Artsry Coin, GSM, Sativacoin, Magi coin, HTML5, Coin2, Aricoin, NXT, Gridcoin, and Goldpieces); [goal achieved & surpassed]
3) secure a min of 8 campaigns to crowd fund, we now have 6;
4) recruit a min of 1 referral agent, we now have 1; [goal achieved]:
5) associate with a min of 2 promotion contractors, we now have 12: [goal achieved & surpassed]
6) associate with a min of 1 campaign contractor, we now have 12; [goal achieved & surpassed]
and
7) publish a min of 5 ‘about PICISI’ articles, we now have 6, [goal achieved & surpassed] .

Although we have yet to launch, Alexa.com ranked the site, so we are now monitoring site ranking:
On May 3, 2015  our rank was ~22M
On May 5, 2015  our rank was revised to ~17M

Note: rank revision is not a technical change, the rank change usually takes place once monthly, my best guess for the revision is because
the site is rapidly growing in popularity.  The 5M rank gain in 2 days is massive, and well appreciated.

426  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Comkort – one hustle free cryptocoin trading space on: May 05, 2015, 05:29:23 AM
Dear Comkort, you are invited to test Pi at your exchange.

NXT has grown from an innovative cryptocurrency (CC) to a financial ecosystem.  As a currency NXT performs at the upper levels of all ranking charts, as an asset platform NXT has a stable of high performers; and now with NXT’s new Monetary System more high performance is expected.

PICISI, a pre-launch start-up, is a crowdfunding site designed to accept fiat and CC.  It is being positioned as an influential player in the CC space.  Recently it quietly issued its currency (Pi) on NXT’s Monetary System.

Pi (currency code NUMUS -- latin for currency) was designed with a specific supply, demand, and value in mind.

The total supply is fixed at 500,000 units  approximately 5x the anticipated average monthly use volume,

Primary demand for Pi will come as a:
-  short-term debt instrument to raise funds for site development and multiple licenses,
-  day-to-day means of paying for global services rendered,
-  CC option for campaign organizers, and
-  CC payment option for PICISI sponsors

Major factors that will determine Pi’s value are the prices PICISI will pay for global services rendered to it by the various Promotion Contractors that complete various assignments and subsequently paid for with Pi; and the rate at which PICISI will buy Pi on the open market.  PICISI uses fiat derived from earned fees to purchase Pi at the exchanges where Pi is listed. If an official exchange sponsor is present PICISI will purchase Pi exclusively at that exchange.

NXT developers have indicated that NXT’s MS currencies are not designed for ‘off the shell’ integration into any exchange platform.  However according to jl777, an influential cc developer and high performing NXT Asset manager: ‘for the exchanges that already support NXT assets, they would simply change "transferAsset" API calls to "transferCurrency". since they use nearly the identical syntax’.

Pi is viewed as an ideal test subject because PICISI is in pre-launch mode and it has a small community of supply-side and demand-side participants: investors, sponsors, admins, and Promotion Contractors.  A number of exchanges have been invited to test Pi at their exchange. Those who participate will receive favorable media coverage during testing.

Please let me know in the coming days if you have an interest in this project.

We've grown in community size (32 people) and accomplishment since our last post (above), here is an update of site launch prerequisites:
1) recruit a min. of 6 admins, we now have 2;
2) secure a min of 20 sponsors, we now have 21: (www.ArmisGame.com, The Einsteinium News, Crypto Cloud Hosting, Bitcoin PR Buzz, Crypto Database, Einsteinium, Metal Coin, HYPER, Hobonickels, Energy Coin, World Aid Coin, Artsry Coin, GSM, Sativacoin, Magi coin, HTML5, Coin2, Aricoin, NXT, Gridcoin, and Goldpieces); [goal achieved & surpassed]
3) secure a min of 8 campaigns to crowd fund, we now have 6;
4) recruit a min of 1 referral agent, we now have 1; [goal achieved]:
5) associate with a min of 2 promotion contractors, we now have 12: [goal achieved & surpassed]
6) associate with a min of 1 campaign contractor, we now have 12; [goal achieved & surpassed]
and
7) publish a min of 5 ‘about PICISI’ articles, we now have 6, [goal achieved & surpassed] .

Please help us to achieve all of our goals.

i have a free sign space can i join in your campaign ?thank u

Thanks for your message Jerelimz, yes you are welcome to join the campaign.

I don't know exactly what you mean by "a free sign space" please be more specific, do you mean:
- that we could use your signature space free,
- that we could use your avatar space free,
- that we could use space at your website to promote PICISI,

Whatever is the free sign space that you are talking about it is a high probability that we could use it.  And where possible we could also monetize it.

I will add your name to the list of active supporters of PICISI.  Question, were you referred to us by someone specific, if so who?

thanks again

if you want you can use my avatar no problem. I hope it helps.

Great, everything counts, you will be the first person to display our Avatar:

Let me know if you need installation instructions.    I'll work on a compensation plan for avatar displays and put you in for it.

thanks again

hey i want to put my account into labor, how can i join your sign campaign ?

Thanks for your message, however I don't exactly understand your question.

Nevertheless, this thread is now old news because it was tied directly to a crowdfunding campaign that is now finished, the campaign was a success.

It's interesting to note that because of the travails the campaign needlessly suffered because of the way indiegogo treated us that PICISI was created.

PICISI is a crowdfunding website that is presently under construction, the site will accept fiat as well as all cryptocurrencies.

Many of the features that were birthed from the experiences indicated in this thread are included in PICISI.

Here are some articles that relate to the new site being created:

1)  What is PICISI - http://www.crowdfundingpr.org/picisi/
2)  PICISI Administration - http://www.crowdfundingpr.org/picisi-administration/
3)  PICISI Sponsors - http://www.crowdfundingpr.org/picisi-crowdfunding-sponsors/
4)  PICISI Assignments  - http://www.crowdfundingpr.org/picisi-assignments-international-work-crowdfunding-space/
5)  PICISI Currency - http://www.crowdfundingpr.org/pi-anyone-picisi-issued-currency-crowdfunding-space/

You are invited to be part of PICISI to help us build the community.

Question, were you referred to us by someone specific, if so who?

Ive seen PICISI many times, but not exactly sure what the benefits are. Can you give us more details.

Vegas

Vegas,  thanks for your message and the opportunity to provide more info about PICISI.

First, PICISI is a crowdfunding site that is presently under construction.  Once we secure our launch prerequisites we will create an ANN thread and launch the site.
As you see from the above post we have two goals to achieve to get us there.

As a crowdfunding site organizers at the site will be able to raise funds in fiat as well as cryptocurrency.  That is only one of the major differences between PICISI and most other crowdfunding sites.  Here are some other features:

1) Everyone Gets Something -  each member is verified, each campaign is reviewed by an admin before presentation; we expect to have many sponsors, given the nature of micro payments it is very likely that every approved campaign will receive sponsorship funding.

2) Sponsorship, there are actually 10 different ways to be involved with PICISI as a sponsor, some of them are discussed here: http://www.crowdfundingpr.org/picisi-crowdfunding-sponsors/

The sponsorship that will have the greatest impact will be 'host CC' where the selected CC will be the currency that all other donated CCs will be immediately converted to and reflected in the host CC balance.

Here's a practical example, let's say you created a game and wanted funding to take it to a higher level.   You go to PICISI register as a member, after registration and verification, you create a campaign.  During campaign creation you pick a host fiat and a host CC, let's say you pick GoldPieces to be your host CC, this means if someone wants to donate, BTC, EMC2, HYPER, STV, Doge, HTLM5 or any other CC to your campaign it will be converted to GoldPieces and reflected in your GP balance.

During the campaign you are able to use your CC balance to hire a Campaign Contractor at the site to help you develop and/or promote your campaign.  Funds are escrowed and services are provided with a satisfaction guarantee policy.  Feedback is provide by all involved (including escrow agent).

Since your project is related to gaming, it is very likely that GoldPieces and other CC sponsors like HYPER will want to provide perk sponsorship, campaign sponsorship, and/or video sponsorship.  Each sponsorship selection will provide your campaign with some funds.

Depending on the appeal of the project PICISI will also hire some Promotion Contractors to help promote your campaign via article, tweeets, vid comments, etc ...
Please note that Promotion Contractors are paid by PICISI, and Campaign Contractors are paid by you.

At the end of the campaign you can have your CC funds sent to your GP wallet or converted to fiat for a fee.

3)  The PICISI issued currency is Pi, Pi is what we use to pay contractors that do assignments for us.   Pi also has 3 other purposes all indicated here:
http://www.crowdfundingpr.org/pi-anyone-picisi-issued-currency-crowdfunding-space/

Pi's connection to PICISI and the "rebuy" plan makes Pi a great investment opportunity.   In short, the funds PICISI earns in fiat will be used to buy Pi at the official exchange sponsor's site or any other exchange if we don't have a sponsor.  There are three articles available about Pi.

4)  Anyone could earn money doing assignments for PICISI, here is more info on that: http://www.crowdfundingpr.org/picisi-assignments-international-work-crowdfunding-space/

Please help us find admins.

thanks again

Unexpected Premature Good News

Earlier today, I was informed that of the 600 million websites on the internet, www.PICISI.com is ranked at 22 million.  This is phenomenal news considering there is nothing at the site and we didn't ask anyone to go there.  Our plan regarding site performance was to start monitoring it after we launch but since it is now listed we will start monitoring immediately.

Apparently the prelaunch buzz was effective and caused people to search out the site.  That curiosity was recognized by Alexa.com, the foremost authority on site rankings, who ranked PICISI.com.

At this rate we expect to rise though the ranks fairly quickly.

Just a bit of advice, Alexa is well known as the most inaccurate ranking website on the internet and is not to be taken seriously.

Alexa bases their ranking system solely on whether or not a user with their Alexa toolbar enabled visits your website. A very small portion of the internet actually uses this toolbar. My website cryptodatabase.net has had consistent visits for a year now averaging between 10,000-20,000 visits daily. Though my stats are consistent my website  went from rank 430k to over 5 million and only dropped below 2 million when I offered an incentive on my faucets for the users who download and use the Alexa toolbar when visiting my site.

Although it is true that Alexa's toolbar is factored into their matrix there are very many other factors that come into play when determining rankings.   Obviously the most major factor is site visits.

In terms of 'accuracy', to know how 'accurate' they are one must first know the secret formula (matrix / algorithm) they use to define and determine their rankings.

If you look at their page it will provide a glimpse into how they begin to determine how they rank sites: site attendance, page views, bounce rate, length of stay, location, flow of traffic in and out, connections to other sites (backlinks) ...  that is just the beginning and the most major factors, go further down the page to see other factor that are less important but still factored into the mix.  But other factors, that are not listed, are also in play, like momentum, clearly this is the only reason why PICISI was ranked at all.

PICISI's mantra is Promotion, Promotion, Promotion so the connections, and associations will be enormous. And they will be originating from many different directions.

22M is the first level of visibility for Alexa, normally they probably would not have listed the site but my guess is that their little bots made various connections (for "PICISI") from many different places which warranted site inclusion.

When Alexa was created there were about 3 sites that ranked other sites, now I can't find any others on their level, who are the others?

Google Analytics is the best one for tracking visitors. Using their code directly in your website will show a very accurate analysis of your visitors, where they came from, and a lot of other features. It is free and real easy to use.

Alexa's only ways to track is via their toolbar and collecting data from search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, and the others. Being a web programmer myself since I was 16 (10 years now) I can guarantee you that it is 100% impossible for them to track your website in any other way without having their code linked to your site.

Think of it this way, it would be like me trying to tell you how many visitors you get just by looking at your website and then ranking you.

I'm not trying to be argumentative or anything, I'm just trying to give some advice about not putting any trust in their ranking system as it is highly inaccurate unless you pay them $50+/month for your real statistics.

Other analytics websites exist still such as [Compete (just as bad as Alexa), Google Analytics (most reliable), and Quantcast.

CryptoDatabase, please know that I value your opinion greatly.   I don't view your position or delivery on the subject as 'argumentative', not in the least.  And I do understand your position.   I think you may want to consider the distinction between ranking and analytics.

Ranking is could be completely arbitrary in terms of the criteria they choose to consider and the weight afforded to each.  However for analytics it is scientifically based data collection with little or no subjective weighting involved.

The data that is produced by google is supposed to be raw data, the so-called facts, where as the date that is produced by Alexa and any other ranking site is processed data, aka 'their opinion'.   The choose what they want to look at and they determine how important it is to them.  Visitors of Alexa decide if the info they report is of value to them.  As far as I know it is the #1 resource for site ranking.

Btw, according to www.quantcast.com, www.PICISI.com doesn't exist yet, which is exactly what I expected to find at this point across the board; Alexa's data surprised me.

You and I both know PICISI.com has not launched as of yet, and you have a good idea of the prelaunch marketing that is taking place; which site (quantcast or alexa) is more correct?

So the question is we also have a goois not , however apparently Alexa's data is either clairvoyant or really

I have just submitted GP to be a sponsor of the crypto crowdfunding site PICISI http://www.crowdfundingpr.org/picisi-assignments-international-work-crowdfunding-space/

This means game developers will be able to list crowdfunding projects and raise GP for their GP game development and projects. As GP had no premine, being able to have a crowdfunding platform for GP games and projects suits this coin perfectly.

I'm hoping to get the new GP ANN thread about the relaunch finished later today as well.

I also have some announcements about some new GP games coming very soon too.
